PO workflow mail not sent to SAP Inbox

Hi All,
I have created a standard PO workflow WS20000075 , Task TS20000166 and in SPRO i have maintained Object type as "US"(user) and agent is maintained.No agent determination rule is maintained for the task.
When i create and Save PO, system is not triggering workflow to my SAP Inbox.
When i test the workflow using SWDD by giving PO number and release code, i am getting mail to my SAP Inbox
What setting i am missing to trigger the workflow to my SAP Inbox as soon as i save my PO.

PR Workflow delay in sending a notification to SAP inbox of approver

Hi All,
We are experiencing a problem in PROD regarding the time delay of workflow in sending the PR to the approver in his SAP inbox.
The current set-up is expected to be operating in runtime. However, we experience delays in the notification.
In runtime graphics, the workflow stays in the background activity. The workflow is expected to just swiftly run the background activity and move to the next activity.
May I know the steps on solving this error?

Error Idocs automatically transffered to users SAP Inbox

Hi,
I need to configure, such that Idocs with certain error messages will be automatically transffered to the users inbox (SAP inbox) based on the plant in the Idoc.
Understand that to achieve this, will have to maintain the org plan in transaction PPOME. But what are the other things that need to be done?
Would greatly appreciate step by step instructions to achieve this.

Hi Mick,
Rajeev Kasturi uses almost 10 pages in his book SAP R/3 ALE and EDI TECHNOLOGIES to explain.
You have to do a complete workflow basic config including not only org plan but also org usnits, positions, assignments.
Activate event triggering and linkage
Acticate workflow generally
configure partner profile parameters for receiver of notification
Set ALEAdmin in EDI system table.

Large numbers of workflows appearing in SAP Inbox after system refresh

Hi all,
We are having an odd issue where after we perform a system refresh of our PR system to QA, a massive number of Business 23,000+ appear in the SAP Inbox of certain users who are registered as agents.
We understand how to delete the workflows but want to understand the process of why they keep appearing, and whether this is a system error or a symptom of a user/batch process during or after the refresh. The workflows do NOT appear for these users in the PR system.
95% of the notifications are flagged "Error when generating IDoc from MC Document."
I have been reviewing the Workflow wiki but have yet to find anything pertinent yet.

Hi,
As the error message, those workitems are generated when system trying to generate IDocs.
And the reasons why all workitems are sent to all users is, the task is marked as general task.
What i would suggest is, select any of those workitem, go to its workflow log & analyze which workflow generates these workitems in what case and proceed accordingly.

Error While Opening PDF File in SAP Inbox

Hello Experts,
I am facing a weird error in SAP Inbox while opening a PDF files (both created by custom ABAP programs as well as the one attached to a new SAP Inbox message from my desktop & sent to my Inbox as a test).
The error states that "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.".
I checked TCode DC30 also & found an appropriate program is already maintained for PDF.
I couldn't make out more out of this error message. Any inputs in this regard will be highly appreciable.

Error when reading a pdf attachment file in sap inbox

I have created a RFC which sends mail from an external user to my sap inbox with attachment.
the problem is with the PDF attachment where when i received the mail in my sap inbox in sbwp, it says that there is an error that it wasnt correctly decode.

and used the method add_attachment...

Issue in sending mail to SAP Inbox from Workflow

Hi All,
I need to send the mail to the creator of the document about the user decision. If i am executing the workflow through the event ( ouput type) , the workflow processing in SWIA is complete but the mail is not sent in the SAP Inbox. But If i try to manually execute the workflow, mail is sent to the SAP Inbox.
I've used WF_INITIAITOR in the Expression. I need to send the mail not to the approver but to the creator of the workflow.

the event is also triggered from my Id but in that case I do not recieve any e-mail. None of the users recieve the e-mail in the SAP Inbox for the mail step after the decision.
In workflow Log the last step shows the details as
name of the manager and the workflow background for mail sent step as shown below

Email sent from workflow is sent to the SAP inbox instead of OUTLOOK.

Hi All,
We have an email send step added in the workflow. In this step the address is a USERID.
Also in SU01 the email and communication method (Remote mail) is maintained properly.
So whenever the email is sent via workflow, email is supposed to be sent to OUTLOOK and at least a entry should be present in SOST transaction but this is not happening. Instaed the email is going into SAP Inbox documents.
All settings in SCOT is maintained.
This is happening for a perticualar agents only.
Is there any other setting needed to be done inorder to sent emails to OUTLOOK.
And once the setting is done how much time it need to reflect the changes.
Please help.

You need to create a background method for this, use FM SWW_SRV_MAIL_SEND to send an email to the outlook instead of sap. This is one way.
Otherwise,
You can use a step type notification email, in that you need to choose the recipient type as email address and specify the email address.

Send Workflow email to User SAP Inbox with a Popup and cproject link

Hi,
I am working SAP portfolio and project management workflow.
Requirement: Trigger workflow when Portfolio Execution Decision Point status changes,
We have to send two email notifications as part of the requirement;
First notification should go to user’s (Only one user) SAP Inbox, Containing two links
Popup link (It will contain list of question which the user has to confirm) if he
confirms we have to send second email notification. (Pop-up layout is attached)
Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject to upload the documents. (NWBC)
The second notification should go to Outlook of the users (via group email) with Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject.
We can trigger the workflow using event DECISION_POINT_STATUS_CHG in Class CL_RPM_DECISION. My question is how should design the pop-up and incorporate the Pop-up and cproject link in first notification email sent to user SAP Inbox.
Please let me know if you need more details.

We use transaction NWBC to login to netweaver business client. Then from there we navigate to Project management view and double click to select the project. It opens project element --> Collaborations tab. There we select the folder link. (screenshot attached)
Regarding addition of multiline container element (Table) let's say 'A'; I create multiline container element A in Workflow element list, Populated element A using a utility class/method assigned to a background task.
Then, I created a user decision task, inside the task container another multiline container element 'B' with same type and I did binding b/w workflow container element 'A' and task container element 'B'.
Now, I am passing &B& in the decision task description. If I execute the workflow, The user decision task description is blank.
Secondly, I did not get any pop-up asking how to display it (all lines with line break).
PS: My internal table also has only one field.
Am I doing something wrong here?

SAP Inbox - IDOC Error

1. I am getting mail alert when ever any IDOC failed in ECC system. Is there any solution available to stop this type of messages coming to SAP Inbox? These notification messages are passing to SAP most of users.
2. Due to that their Inbox is getting full. And not able to delete all messages at a time. Is there any solution available to delete all messages once?
Lots of lots of error messags are coming in SAP Inbox for IDOC errror like: Partner profile not defined, IDOC not processed until Final stage, etc.,

Check the appropriate "Partner Profile" in WE20 and see if any agent is maintained for the
Post Processing - Permitted Agent.
Check the inbound and outbound parameters message types as well and seee if any agents are assigned or not...
try assigning a userid in test system and ensure the message goes to only the user mentioned..

Navigating to MM03 sap transaction from workflow userdecision step inbox

I have a requirement to navigate to MM03 from a link in used decision step in SAP-Inbox.
If user finds data displayed in MM03 in afetr clking on link in User decision for particular material then only user will approve material.
Can anybody guide me how to fulfill this requirement.

You can also, call your method in 'Method' Tab at the Task.
Already you have a method and inside the method you are calling the Transaction MM03.
Enter this method in the Method tab --> Secondary method of the Task. SO at run time what will happen is, User click the workitem, then it will show the user decision screen and MM03 screen.
But for this you have to copy the standard user decision task into the customized one.
