Workflow issue - When i execute the workitem it just disappears

Hi
i am learning workflow. i am just following some instructions on one of the tutorials and i developed a simple workflow for editing material number when a material is created. i create the material in mm01 and the event gets triggered and i get the work item in my inbox. When i execute the workitem it just disappears and comes into my outbox. I am not able to go to the edit screen of the material( mm02) what am i missing? if i only use task then it works fine without any issues, if i include the same task in a workflow and trigger it does not open mm02. plz help

Have you checked the workflow log ?
If not in your business work place, got to Outbox --> Work Items executed by me
The click on the workflow log button. Analyze the log.
There are various reasons why this can happen, so cant really say much about why this issue is occurring without more details.
Also you will probably get better answers if post this in the Workflow forum than in the ABAP forum.

Hello,
Put whatever you need to do in a method of the BO associated with the workflow,
and then create a task (TS....) that calls that method. Then the step in the
workflow calls that task.
To call a report as you describe I'd guess you'd need to do a SUBMIT with BDC data.

I am new to Portal.
we have a SAP Inbox Iview that works fine, but the problem is when the user try to execute Purchase Requicition Approval, the error "You have too many sessions open. Please close one and execute the workitem." appears. What really bothers me is that the error appears as IE error message but the detail of the error looks like SAP.
Your help will be appreciated.

Multiple approvers and one approver execute the workitem without complete

Hi all,
In case of multiple approvers, if approver-A executed the workitem but cancel it without complete. The workitem will stay only in approver-A SAP inbox and disappear from other approvers' inboxes. Is this a standard way?
For whatever reason, if approver-A cannot execute the workitem. What can be done by workflow administrator to make the workitem appear again in other approver's inboxes?

Hi Donald,
Yes this is the standard behavior of workflow.
If you send the work item's to the multiple approver's and one approver open the work item it will disappear from all other's inbox.
if the approver A open's the work item, then it will disappear from other's inbox. You can use the fm SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM to forward the work item's to the other user.

No records were selected message when I execute the KE30

Dear All,
I have created a CO-PA Profitability Report by Report Painter and when I execute the KE30 ,system is giving a message as "No records were selected ".
I have checked the actual line item report (KE24),all the values are flowing and showing under value fields tab.Even in KE30 ,I could see the report layout ,but values are not appearing.
Please help me to find where it went wrong.

1. Check your record type..Billing data has record type as F... see your form in KE35 and check it
2. Execute your report with selection parameters like Comp Code and the Period... Once the data is displayed, you can further refine the selection criteria
3. Also check in KE35 -
a. The Plan/Actual indicator.. You should select "Actual values" in it
b. the currency type - Select as applicable to you

Turn off Voice Control.
Otherwise, basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

due to the bad formatting of your posting it is hard to read. you might consider to use the code tag to enhance readability. moreover, 'executing a webservice' is a bit a vague description of what you do. are you consuming this service with any client program and this is throwing the exception or are you testing the webservice with any 3rd party tool and this is a server error returned to you?
anyway, I think you ttry to consume that service from within ABAP and the error message says a lot despite of its bad readability:
The client ist serializing a message (creating it from parameters) and is provided some argument for a parameter which doesn't conform to the WSDL. E.g. the WSDL declares some parameter to be an integer and between 0 and 100 and you try to supply it the value 234. THis would most probably result in your erromessage. or the WSDL says integer and you provided it a string (e.g. like 'foo' or '234').

Does turning off »Use Graphics Processor« in the Performance Preferences and restarting Photoshop have any bearing on the issue?

During data processing, one of the analysis processes does not guarantee the uniqueness of data records in terms of the key fields they may have. One of the DataStore objects, however, has key fields. When data is written to DataStore object ZO08_ABC there must only be one data record in the key fields for each characteristic combination.
System Response
The analysis process is terminated because it is not possible to save all the data in DataStore object ZO08_ABC
Procedure
Check the definition of the analysis process and make any necessary changes. Redefine the analysis process in such a way so that the update does not produce duplicate data records. You could ensure against duplicate data records by proceeding as follows:
Check whether all key fields are filled correctly in the field assignments on the data flow arrow that enters the DataStore object.
Insert an aggregation node in front of the DataStore object and aggregate the data to match the key fields of the DataStoreobject. In the settings for the aggregation node, use the key fields of the DataStore object as grouping fields and all other fields as aggregation fields.
Points will be definitely assigned.

Hi,
The values in query may have different combination of characteristics.. may only few of those are Key field to the ODS.
So Wen you display data , you can select the Key fields and sort.
And about aggregate...
Eg:
report values
X       y        z    K1
aaa bbb ccc    10
aaa bbb ddd     20
now ODS has X y as key field then load wil fail as u can see 2 records from report/query
So wen you put aggregate block on query ( and filter with z or not present in ODS) out put then
X            y          z (filtered)         k1
aaa      bbb        ccc                     30
if you need the Z value then i think you need to use transformation.

Delete fles-sdk-description.xml altogether as it is causing issues when syncing to the sdk. Because it gets updated every time you build it also gets marked by svn as being out of sync and that is a pain too so... I opted to just create it on the fly and then update it and not have it checked in

Either its a typo or by mistake you wrote adl in yout bat file. Change it to adt since that is the file that will package your ane. adl is just used for debugging/running on Desktop.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I'm baffled, especially since it will usually give you the Invalid user name or password entered message. I'm not getting that. Instead the password field just jiggles back and forth. Very odd.

Right, like I'm trying to say, THERE IS NO SAFARI MENU bar. Example: I have multiple applications open, I click on a Photoshop window, the correct menu or title bar or whatever changes. Every other application window I click on brings up the correct "whatever" bar. If I click on the desktop, the "Finder Bar" shows up.
Everythiing else, BUT SAFARI, works the same way since OS X came out. This is ridiculous.
I'm getting the vibe that Apple is trying to get rid of the finder.... this is the way wrong direction.
