Workflow messages through Project System..

Hi All,
Can anyone suggest me how to achieve the following :
Mail message after creation of Project Definition
Mail message after creation of WBS Element
Mail message after creation and save Activities to WBS elements
I have checked the event trace for the above activities and found no event...
helpful answer will be surely rewarded..

For WBS Element :
I have associated PRN(Status OT) to BUS2054(Business OT) in transaction BSVW...it works fine...
But for other two scenarios :
I am getting a message saying 'status object and business object type keys
incompatible'
but can you be more specific..I want to create the event
after creation of Project Definition
after creation and save Activities to WBS elements

Set settlement profile for the WBS to allow to settle the costs to assets.
Define settlement rule for the WBS.
Post costs on WBS.
Execute settlement of the costs.

Sub-contracting through Project system.

Can some one please help me in understanding how Project system (PS) is supporting sub-contracting scenarios.
I am looking for activity sub-contracting and also sub-contracting with Project stock materials.
I am aware of normal sub-contracting through production order and also sub-contracting through MM. I am specifically looking for sub-contracting in PS.

Hi,
If requirements for subcontract items (or services) are generated automatically from PS just make sure that the right document category is used (subcontract) then any requisitions or planned orders etc. will have the right category.
There is no difference between PP, PS and PM effectively, they all use subcontracting in the same way it is just how the requirement is triggered that is slightly different.
If you need details on how to trigger the right type of requirement through PS then you may need to use one of teh financial forums that cover PS? (is there one?)

How to trigger a workflow message through EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001 for PP Ord Chg

Hi Friends,
Pls advise me here, heard that through Exit 'EXIT_SAPLCOBT_001' (PPCO0001) we can inform an MRP controller or a Workflow message when a production order is changed. I've tried with that but none am getting it.
Pls help me how to use this exit and is there any other way to do a notification in my SWBP -Workflow?

Error Message: No approval workflow found. Inform system administrator

Dear Gurus,
I've encounter this error message when I'm creating a shopping cart. "No approval workflow found. Inform system administrator"
I've checked the conditions at "SWB_COND" and it looks fine.
I've check Event Type Linkage "t-code SWETYPV" and its active "SAVED". It links to function module SWB_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL.
Cost Centers and HOD are maintain correctly.
Need your advice.

The message you are getting i.e. "No approval workflow found. Inform system administrator" is because no workflow has been activated properly for the business object BUS2121(for the Shopping Cart).
Please check the following:
In SWE2,check whether the event linkage is activated for any of the workflows for the object BUS2121.If atleast one of the workflows for BUS 2121 has been activated,you should not get the message.
If any of the workflows has been activated,please check whether the start conditions for that workflow has been activated or not.Even if the start conditions have not been activated,the error message should not appear as the start conditions need to be checked when 2 workflows are activated in the system for business object BUS2121 for shopping cart.
If more then 1 workflow is activated,check the start conditions for these workflows.

Cannot send or recieve text messages through Ford Sync system since latest O.S. update 10.3.1.1779

My Blackberry Classic easily connected to my Lincoln's Sync system. I was able to receive and send text messages through the Sync. Since the latest O.S. update, I can no longer connect sms services through Sync.
Should I restore to previous O.S.?

Yes my particular issue is not like yours. However, there have been many other laptop users experiencing similar problem to yours after 3.10 kernel. Mostly it seems to be bumblebee users that experience your problem with the blank screen. We do know that nvidia have yet to make their official drivers work with kernel 3.10 and up. The drivers in the Arch repository have been patched to work with 3.10. From what I have seen, this also only seem to be affecting laptops with newer nvidia gpu's. I fear there is not much to do with this problem until nvidia give official 3.10 kernel support.
My suggestion would be to stick with 3.9.9 kernel and the drivers that work with it, and don't upgrade those packages until nvidia has addressed these issues. If you have a look at the nvidia forums you will see quite a number of topics mentioning black screen when starting x on 3.10 kernel, and also a thread for the system dying. Reading some of the threads there may help you keep up to date on whether or not the issue seem to be solved.

When we do technically completed for an activity in PROJECT SYSTEM ,system should give an error message if there are any production order for which materials are yet to be received. Can any one tell me how to do it.

The error message says are still some open purchase orders exist for this project.
You have to close all these purchase orders before closing the project.
Use transaction code ME2J and give the input selection parameter : Project id and select Purchase order, selction parameter as open quantties execute the report.All the open PO will be displyed.You have to short close the all open POs.
Similarly check for other documents like open invoice etc.

Error message "Live file system repair is not supported."

System won't boot. Directed to Disk Utility to repair but get error message "Live file system repair is not supported." Appreciate all help.

I recently ran into a similar issue with my Time Machine backup disk. After about 6 days of no backups - I had swapped the disk for my photo library for a media project; I reattached the Time Machine disk and attempted a backup.
Time Machine could not backup to the disk. Running Disk Utility and attempting to Repair the disk ended up returning the "Live file system repair is not supported" message.
After much experimentaion with disk analysis softwares, I came to the realization that the issue might be that the USB disk dock wasn't connected directly to the MacBook Pro - it was daisy-chained through a USB Hub.
Connecting the USB disk dock directly to the MBP and running Disk Utility appears to have resolved the issue. DU ran for about 6 hours and succesfully repaired the disk. Consequently, I have been able to use that Time Machine disk for subsequent backups.

Workflow message modifications not getting saved into database

Hello Friends,
I am working on iProcurement module (11i) and have a requirement to remove the 'View' & 'Edit' links which appear in notification/Emails in Requisition Approval Workflow.
I found a metalink note "How to Remove Related Application Links From Approval Notifications for AME [ID 1100805.1]" for the same.
We have to delete some attributes from the workflow message to remove the links but the same is not getting saved in database.
I am uploading the wft file through Workflow Definition Loader program with the 'force' option. And to check the changes , i am again downloading the file but i could not see the changes.
Can't attributes be deleted from the message?
Any suggestions ?

Unable to work with Workflow Variable through SPML launchProcess Request ?

I am trying to work with launch process request, which worked well with no error message when I am just using the workflow call through SPML "launchProcess Request " call. But when trying to use any workflow variable then getting exceptions. I don't undertsand about the error message. Is this trying to convert the variable in SIM variable.

So you didn't even follow this walkthrough yet? If you did, how did you do it?
I failed to create such a web project system because I finally messed up my VS experimental instance. But it's possible to create a custom web project system, by following this walkthrough. Someone else has successfully made it, check this
link.
The difference is that you have to use web project type instead of the console application project type. You could copy a web project's .csproj file into the VSPackage project and rename it to xxx.myproj. There's an error in the walkthrough that the AssemblyInfo.cs
file should be put into Properties folder and set the "Build Action" property to Content, "Include in VSIX" to true.
