Workflow not updated in offline approval

Hi All-
I have an issue in offline approval in SRM 7.0 . Program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND has been scheduled to send email for offline approval and approver receives the mail. When the approver clicks on Approve By Email button, a new email opens with some Guid informations and approver clicks on send button to send the mail.
I am seeing the inbound mail recived by SAP in SOIN -tcode or via In Utilities-Inbox Overview in SCOT. The problem is, the workitem is still in ready status and not changed to complete status.
I havent scheduled the inbound program- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET as per SAP library and other SDN posts. I have maintained the following in SCOT (Under Settings-> Inbound processing)
Internet mail     xxxx@ xxx.com ( Mail id)    ICS    /SAPSRM/CL_OFFLINEAPP_INBOUND   3.
My doubt is, do we need to schedule the inbound program or any other program, so SAP will decode the data and update the workflow? or is it enough to maintain the above SCOT settings?
Please clarify above things and help me on how to update the workflow

Thank you Ricardo and Saravanan. I am working on this and waiting for roles to assign. In the mean time, i have scheduled the prog- /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALGET and if i approve from outlook, it is updating the status to WF.
Is there any issue, if i use this inbound program in SRM 7.0?
Also, when i approve from outlook, the mail contents (GUID and other technical informations) is in editable mode. As per my client, it should be in disable mode, so the approver will not change the mail contents. I am not able to find the solution for this. Please provide your inputs.
PS: I am using Application Controlled WF

    It is recommended to select "Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item" when you want to use the workflow to manage content approval for
    a library.
    According to the Notes for “Enable Content Approval” option in
    this reference:
    If you are using this Approval workflow to manage content approval (moderation) for a library, and you selected the Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version
    of an item check box on the Add a Workflow page..
    If you did not select the Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item check box on the Add a Workflow page because you do not want this workflow to
    be the default content approval workflow for a library, you can select the Update the approval status (use this workflow to control content approval) check box to make this workflow a secondary content approval workflow that specific users can
    start manually.
    That means having an approval workflow start automatically when a document is changed or created is not a good practice when you want to use the workflow to manage
    content approval for a library. You should either select "Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item" or give users the option to start the workflow manually at the time they want to submit for an approval.

  • Plant getting updated after offline approval of SC in SRM

    Hello Experts,
    Please guide me in finding out the reason of why the Plant Value gets updated after the Offline Approval is done by the user in SRM.
    when the user accepts the SC through mail we see that the SC gets approved status in Portal and in the backend PO we get that the Plant also gets changed.
    So please help me in identifying the issue.

    Hi Rajat,
    We have debugged and analysed this issue, In offline approval system is picking last plant maintained for the company code from the table: BBP_LOCMAP. You can add one more plant to the table and check after offline approval. It will pick new one. Still we have not reached solution point, will let you know once we will find something.

    DO you mean to tell that after the shopping cart is approved , only the first item is send to the sourcing cockpit?
    ANd the other items of the shopping cart are not send to the sourcing cockpit?
    Can you please compare the category for the two lines? is it the same?
    can you check wether the category mentioned for the second line has got category which has been configured for sourcing cockpit?

    Check the task TS12300097 check the default rule for the task using tcode PFTC
    under default rules tab for Agent assign 157 rule - Immediate Manager
    This rule picks the immediate manger (from the reporting structure) as approver

  • Rejection email not sent for offline approval to requester

    Hi all,
    We are on SRM 7.1.
    We have configured the offline approval process for shopping cart.The issue we are fcaing is that in case of complete rejection of carts,the work item goes backto the requester to accept chnages but in our system,the work item does go back to the requester so that he can aceept the chanegs or re-order the cart.Howveer the offline approva email for the work item is not sent out so that the requester can aceept chnages from the email itself.
    Has anybody come across a similar issue?
    Pls advise.

    Developing a 2013 Workflow on SharePoint 2013 using Visual Studio 2012, deploying workflow changes does not update the workflow that runs. This has already been posted on the SP 2013 dev forum, but I wanted to check here with the workflow folks. Anyone run

    This issue is reported and I'll post about it once I have an update.  For now to workaround this issue, you can try these steps
    Change the default deployment option to “No Activation”
    Retract the solution using Visual Studio
    Deploy the solution. This time feature will not be activated by default as we have changed to “No Activation”
    Open the SharePoint designer and click on the “Workflow”  section. You will see your workflow already present there. Delete the workflow which you have created.
    Activate the feature manually.
    Now you should see your updated version.

  • SPD workflow not updating a Lookup Column

    I have a 2 lists (Computers & Lending Library) that both have a look-up column (Item Status) pointing to a 3rd list (Item Status - Category).
    Both lists are properly looking up when manually edited via the web interface. When I try to use a SPD workflow to "Update or Create List Item" and I set the column in the Lending Library (Item Status) = Current Item (Items Status) the column is not populated.
    I took the same value and updated a Text column and the value is "0".
    The strange thing is when setting the (Item Status) it only gives me the options:
    As Integer
    Lookup ID (as Integer)
    Lookup Value (as Integer)
    What am I missing?

    Its been a long time since I looked at this but yes we did figure it out.
    Here is my Comment to myself on the lookup: "Must extract the [Item type] as a string and then lookup the corresponding List Item [ID] in the "Item Type - Category" list, use that value to update the "LendLib"[Item
    Type]."
    As suggested you need to reference the ID of the lookup, and I am caching that. Then when setting the [Item Type] column, by referencing the [ID] column in the Lookup list, then set your value to the Title of that lookup.
    If I recall the issue was the lookup, if you don't use the [ID] then you don't actually retrieve the value from the [Title] column correctly.
    My screenshots below are a bit confusing at first because my Lookup List is called "Item Type - Category" and the column in the 2nd list that is the
    Lookup Column,  is called "Item Type".

  • Project Online Workflow not moving forward after approval

    I'm building a custom workflow for a Project Online tenant using SD2013 but something is not working with approvals.
    In SD I create the workflow with very simple actions:
    1. Wait for submit
    2. Create approval task
    3. In stage transition, if task ended with "Approved", move to the next stage, if not, go to "Cancelled" step
    Everything works fine until the approval. I see the task, approve it but then nothing happens. The task appears as "Completed" and "Approved" but the workflow just stays there.
    I had this very same behavior on a couple of deployments in the past with Project Server 2010 in Spanish.
    The tenant created the Project Web App in Spanish as well. Could this be the cause? How can I correct it?

    I am also having the same issue.
    The task appears in the list, I approve it, then nothing happens. No error, no feedback, no history list log (I put in a log statement right after the approval task, it never runs), the workflow status page still remains as "Started".
    Any ideas?
    If online is as slow as processing approval actions overnight, then it is simply unusable.

  • ECM EHP4 - status of IT759 not updated when manager approves

    Hi, we are implementating ECM on EHP4 and are having issues in the planning overview iview.  when a planning manager approves an org unit, the status of IT759 for the employees it not being updated from submitted to approved.  I have checked the user interface config and we have the tick box checked for allow approval process. 
    Also, once the org unit is in approved status, we cannot reapprove.  I have tried using PECM_ADJUST_0759 - Adjust Compensation Process Records , to reopen the approved org unit and reinitialise but this does not work.
    does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi Tanya,
    Use PECM_CHANGE_STATUS to reset the 0759 records from Approved or Submitted back to In Process.  Or the other way around.  Very useful transaction. 
    As to your first question, from your description you are having the planning manager Approve the proposed pay changes.  Normalthe planning manager will Submit and then a higher level manager will Approve or Reject.  We used a separate area for the Planning vs. the Approval/Reject step.  Only proposals in Submitted status are available for Approval/Rejection.
    We are removing that process this year as we had the same problem of always resetting.  So we just allow the adjustments to remain In Process throughout the review period.  Then use PECM_CHANGE_STATUS to move to Submitted, Approved and Activated.

    Hi all,
    My BPM Workflow seem to be stuck. All changes I make to my BPM (adding steps etc..) are not reflected in the Workflow.
    I've refreshed the Cache several times (Deltas and Full)...
    Activated Cache Notifications that were not started yet...
    Manually Activated the BPM with SXI_CACHE
    Re-activated BPM itself offcourse after each change///
    ..all to no avail..
    Anyone any ideas ??

  • Offline approval + Substitution

    Hi Experts.
    We have implemented the offline approval process in SRM server 5.5. But when there is substitution(both active & passive), the both users get the approval email. I am not sure whether it is correct or wrong.
    Could you please calrify me the Offline aproval + substitution with respective approval mail in detail?

And on another hand, there is also an offline approval mail that is being sent via an email to the approver. In that offline approval mail, there is a description of the shopping cart content and also a link included. Via that link the approver can branch out into the shopping cart itself, out of the offline approval mail.
    So, the above described behaviour i see also, when the first of the substitution rules is used. The delegate receives both, the work item via the workflow into the work list. And also the offline approval e-mail.
    But when the second substitution rule is in use, than there is only the distribution of the workitem to the work list of the delegate there. But the delegate does not receive the offline approval e-mail.

  • Fill in for Me Substitution Rule - Why no offline approval mail to Deputy?

    Dear Experts,
    in SRM 7.0 CS, i am facing the following question w.r.t. the substitution rule:
    When a user (approver) creates the Receive my tasks substitution rule for a deputy, than, when ever there are new SC get ordered that need to receive an approval from the "original" approver, not only this original approver but also the deputy receives a the offline approval mail.
    But in case the "original" approver maintaines the second substitution rule - the Fill in for Me rule, than no offline approval mail is sent out to the deputy.
    Can you maybe help me out with a pointer regarding a possible root cause?

  • Offline approval workflow not working - SRM 5.0

    Hi Team,
    Suddenly we have an issue in SRM production server with Offline approval workflow, inbound mails are not getting processed in SOIN and workitems are not getting cleared. So document status is not getting changed.
    There is no problem in receiving the mail, we have all configurations setup as per below link,
         Offline approval - general configuration - Supplier Relationship Management - SCN Wiki
    Incoming mails are received to system user and then auto-forwarded to dialog user. Dialog user is used to schedule the batch job - RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL.
