  • Workflow - notification to outlook

    Hi friends
I want to send a notification in html format to outlook.
Can i send? What is the configuration involved in doing so?
    Thanks,
    Renu

    Hello,
You can integrate your MS Outlook with SAP Office through SAP MAPI standards. but not in HTML format.
No need of coding. Just create one more email account in your outlook using the srever SAP MAPI Server option. It is done. It will take hardly 15 minutes to configure. The only requirement is you should have SAP GUI Longon pad indtalled in your system.
In this way you can integrate SAP Office with Outlook.

  • Personas and extended workflow notifications

    Hi Personas users.
We have gone live with our first Personas business process which is effectively a service desk ticketing system based on PM notifications and equipment records. My users are very happy with the solution but as expected they want more!
I have been asked to setup workflows for the notifications, this is no problem as I can simply use the OOTB notification workflows, however the requirement I have is to employ extended workflow notifications, i.e. send the workflow notifications to Outlook.
After setting this up and messing about with the host URL settings in the extended workflow setup (SWNADMIN) we have managed to get URL link in the email to launch the Personas app within NWBC... however it doesn't find the flavour for the transaction it finds the basic view.
Does anyone else have this setup and managed to get it to work ... if so how?
    Many thanks,
    Neil

    Hi Steve,
I have shortlinks setup for these transactions, they are necessary for deploying Personas flavours via NWBC. Thing is the URLs that end up on the email are generated by SAPs extended notifications function, so the shortlinks aren't really useful here. unless there is a way to get the extedned notifications feature to somehow query the shortlinks table... I suspect this would be custom code.
Something tells me that what I'm after isn't a standard feature, hopefully Sushant or one of the other SAP folks will clarify.
    thanks

  • How to get response of Workflow Notification Email from MS Outlook Express.

    Hi All,
    I have two questions:
    1. Our business users had a requirement to approve or reject the Workflow Notification Emails form their Email account on MS Outlook Express. When they perform action from MS Outlook Express it sends email to wfmailer but no action perform in aplication. The notification inbox in application shows this notification as OPEN notification and the requested function also shows 'Waiting for Approval'.
    2. I need to hide Request Information button/link from the email notification send through Workflow mailer to user. There are three actions button available in email notification Apprve, Reject and Request Information. I need to have only two button Approve and Reject. How to hide Request Information button.
If any one have idea regarding my questions please hlep.
    Regards,
    Saquib

You can follow the Workflow developer guide to create message attribute as shown in below link
    http://www-apps.us.oracle.com/wf/doc/wfr1213/wfdg/html/T361836T361983.htm#2806969
    1. For the notification message for which you want the more info link to be hidden, define the message attribute with name '#HIDE_MOREINFO', type as 'text' and set value as 'Y'

  • Workflow Notification truncated in outlook

    Dear Team,
We have designed a Smartform for workflow Notification. The Notification in SAP inbox appears fine.but when it comes to outlook inbox ,its truncated.
Apperciate,if anyone can help me in sorting out this.
Your valuable inputs are highly Apperciated.
    regards
    Ali

    Hi Dezso,
    thx for your quck reply.
do have experience with this point (within the note):
Work items based, which are not based on the SAP GUI for Windows user interface can be executed from the e-mail (E.g. WebFlow services, Web Dynpro). Single e-mails can be generated for generic decisions so that the decision can be made directly from the e-mail.
    I didn't found any documentation.

  • Sending Workflow notification from SAP to Outlook

    Hi All,
I want to send my workflow notification mail from my SAP inbox to Outlook.
I have done the same for the work items successfully using Extended Notifications.
However, the same configuration is not working for "Notifications".
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deb

    Rob,
Thanks for your response. It was a simple sent mail step. So I send it directly to the e-mail id of the same user. Simple thing clicked to my mind little late.

  • Program to send Workflow Approval Notifications to Outlook (RSWUWFMLEC)

    Hi,
We recently upgraded from SRM 4.0 to 7.0. We used RSWUWFMLEC to extract approval work items and send email notifications to Outlook. Can we use same RSWUWFMLEC or is there a different program/process for this in SRM 7.0. For some reason RSWUWFMLEC is not working for SRM 7.0 approval work items.
    Thank You

  • Multiple attachments in Workflow Notification

    Hi All,
We are trying to attach multiple(Two) files to the workflow notification. We are able to get the two attachments. But the problem is in the notification from front end both the attachments are opening the same file, where as the attachments in the outlook are showing different contents and the file name is same for both the attachments.
Please can anyone help us in this. This is very urgent requirment.
    Thanks,
    Varun

    Hi Jubish/Venkat
    1. I iterated this fucntion moudule to store the multiple attachments to the workflow
       SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD
    2. Call this FM to get the attachemnts form the workflow (pass workitem Item id which is used for storing the attchments).  SAP_WAPI_GET_ATTACHMENTS
from above you will get objkey for each attachment as output in table.
    3. Pass the  objkey to this FM to get the contents
SO_DOCUMENT_READ_API1'. this will retrun the content of the attachment either in object_content,   contents_hex.
    4. Pass the Obtained content to SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING to get the disired format.

  • How to configure workflow notification mailer for iPad

    EBS R12.1.3
    Sun Solaris 11
    DB 11g
First i apologize for users here becasue i have to repost this. May be i did not ask proper question last time
Currently my users got the internet expense or requsition approval in  an email with an attachment and when users open the attachment the Oracle HTML page open and allow click on approval or reject. This works fine from outlook email from desktop. But when users receive the email on iPad the attachment does not open. It give the blank page.
Can someone advise how can user approve the work flow notification from iPad.  This is my analysis for our requirement. Can someone advise am i on right direction. if there is any Oracle docuemnt available then please provide the doscument detail or sequence of doscument that i need to follow
Set up the IMAP4 compilance unique inbound email with INBOX, PROCESS and DISCARD folders
Configure the inbound email from OTM
Ignore the outbound email configuratiion from OTM becasue it is already working. It is set with SMTP
Check the inbound and outbound connection from ebs server
If you can not ping the IMAP server or telnet the SMTP server from ebs server. Make sure firewall/ports are open
Add inbound and outbound server entry in server host file
Apply the patch 16328729 for iPad compatibility
    Test it
What would be the over all impact of this change. will the users still able to approve the notification using the attachment or this will change.

  • Notifications to outlook ??

    Hi All,
In my assignment , approver is approving or rejecting through a cusomized screen. Now I want to send some approve or reject notifications to outlook of  all the agents involved in the process .
Can anyone please suggest how to take care of getting emails corresponding to users and sending notifications to outlook ...
All help will be highly appreciated...
    Thanks
    Priya

    Hi Priya,
To have e-mail notifications to be sent to outlook or anyother e-mail client, best possible approaches to be used are
    1. Using report RSWUWML2
    2. Using 'Extended Notification' functionality with Business Workflow - configurations using SWNCONFIG, SWNADMIN, SWN_SELSEN
You can find more information on this in link https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f01448bb-324f-2a10-fe96-cb36c26a3089
However we can also achieve the same in a different way using 'Send Mail' step in Workflow. Again we can use any of the following
    1. Identify the people ( Selected Agents ) who should receive the e-mail notification
    2. Find out the e-mail address of the agent ( you can write a new method on your BO) , you can use BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL , execute with userid as input and e-mail will come out in output table parameter ADDSMTP
3.Create a send mail step in your workflow like below
           a. create a new task with reference to BO Method SELFITEM.SENDTASKDESCRIPTION
b.in the 'mail' tab of your send mail step select 'Receipient Type' as 'E-mail Address' , select 'Expressioon' and use the variable which has the 'e-mail adddress' found in the above step.
There is another simple approach with out finding the e-mail address, its like below
    1. Create send mail step, select Recipient Type as 'Organizational Object' and you can choose any option 'User' / 'Position' based on requirement.
    2. This actually send a document to SBWP
    3. Now in user's SBWP Office Settings , go to 'Automatic Forwarding' , create an entry as 'e-mail address of the user' say ( [email protected]) and type as 'Internet Address'. You can also mention date from and to in which this option should be active. You can also set so that original document from SBWP can be removed once it is forwarded to mentioned e-mail address.
    4. If some specific user do not want have e-mail notifications to be sent we can deactivate automatic forward option to him.
    This works fine !!
However for above all, we should have SCOT configurations done correctly.
Hope this helps you to solve your problem.
    Thanks and Regards

  • E-mailing: How to sent out an email to the Managers OUTLOOK express account

    Hi Experts,
    System is ECC6.0.
I hv requirement that, the sales orders comes from EDI into SAP. If there is a error in material (like,
non-sellable, not existing etc.), I need to trap this issue/error.....................fine, I did it and working fine.
But, in next step, I need to send out an email to the manager to his/her OUTLOOOK express(NOT work flow account) email account"s inbox, with a standard specified format!!!!
I do NOT think, work flow is necessorily involved here in this scenario!!!
    So, let me know that,
    1) Is WORK FLOW involvment i there?
    2) How to get it done that, sending out email to OUTLOOK express account with a standard format
    3) Any FMs, piece of code
    replies appreciated.

    Hello
    I can offer two proposals:
    1) Standard report RSEIDOCA is used to actively monitor IDoc processing.
This report can be scheduled in background and reports failed IDocs. Unfortunately SAP did not offer e-mail notification together with this report which is really a shortcoming. However, I have written a modified version of this report which allows to send e-mails (see below).
    2) Another scenario we are using is to replace wrong partners/materials with dummy partners or materials ensuring that the IDoc will be processed under all circumstances. In this case we set the Purchase order number supplement (sales order -> header -> tabstrip Order Data: field VBAK-BSTZD) = 'ERR'.
Using a condition (transaction VOFM ) we trigger an ORDRSP IDoc if a new sales order has BSTZD = 'ERR'. This IDoc is forwared to SAP-XI and translated into an e-mail to the customer service.
The crucial parts of my report ZRSEIDOCA are shown below (adjust selection screen and notification routine):
    ...*    perform show_act_moni.

  • Importing mail from Outlook Express to Mail

I firewired my old Outlook Express program over from my iBook, which runs on OS 9.1, to my new Powerbook, but when I run the program in the classic environment it doesn't access the Messages cache. Instead, it shows no messages in the inbox, which means I have no way of importing all the old messages and the old address book from Express to Mail. Does anyone know how I might do this? Thanks.

I spent about 10 hours on this forum trying to find out how to export mail from MS Outlook on OS 9 and import the mail into Apple Mail OS X. I found a few threads with no specifics and I found a few knowledge base articles and finally succeeded. So here is the step by step workflow for anyone who needs to do the same:
1] On your old OS 9 Mac, locate the folder called Microsoft User Data -> Identities
2] Copy the Identities folder to your new OS X Mac (put in on the desktop temporarily)
3] Install OS 9 from your system disk on the new OS X Mac if it's not already installed
4] On your OS X Mac, go to OS 9 Applications, find MS Outlook and run the program. After it launches, quit the program (this is to create some needed files in your home directory)
5] On your OS X computer, go to your Home -> Documents -> Microsoft User Data, and trash the Identities folder
6] Drag the Identites folder that you put on the desktop (the one from the OS 9 Mac) and put drop it Home -> Documents -> Microsoft User Data (replacing the identities you just trashed)
7] Go back into OS 9 Applications (on your OS X Mac) and once again launch MS Outlook - you should now see all your mail in your inbox and sent items
    8] Quit MS Outlook
9] Launch Apple Mail and use the FILE -> IMPORT MAILBOX function to begin the import process - follow the prompts
    Good luck

  • Unable to send out emails via outlook express since 06/29/2010

Task '[email protected]" - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'        This is a copy/paste of error message from Office Outlook  2003
Our household has been unable to "send" outgoing emails since 06/29/2010.  This includes a wireless laptop and a PC. We both lost the ability to send emails same day.  We changed NOTHING and did not share emails with each other that would have corrupted our system. During this time I have had 2 Verizon techs dance around in the PC doing all the same things I did as well as what  the automated assistant did.  The last tech said the Outlook Express 6.0 was corrupted, and to unistall it and then reinstall;  this time 2 hours later, I think he just gave up).  That did not work either.  I tried using the Outlook Office and still got an error message for outging. Everything is set up as it was when it was working until 06/29/2010.  I was told that there was a new server being installed and that things wold be working by 07/02/2010... I have tried taking down the firewall, turning off virus protection (McAfee), changing from outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net to just outgoing.verizon.net, checking boxes, unchecked boxes. SMPT is set to 587.  We get incoming fine.  I hate using the "Verizon email site" as too much monkey motion to get to mail, but that's what we have been doing.  I even tried setting up a GMail account, again got mail still could not send.  Any ideas?

Thank you for your response!  I even tried sending an email via dos prompt  with Telnet, got past "HELO", but when trying to get a  "RCPT TO"  (using outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net)  I got an "authorization required" response and then was dropped.  I have been passed around without a solution. I am about ready to change ISP, but really hate to as most of the time (years now) this has been a decent ISP. If Verizon is having a problem just say so, I can handle it, honesty would be nice, refreshing and not wasting so much of my time as well as the techs!
