Workflow notification, where I can control which should send by email

Hi,
In a old version SRM3.5 (but is a general question for most of versions) customer wants some workflow notifications by email, I have activated SO16 option and is working but now customer wants to deliver only some of the notifications by email and SO16 doesn't allow to discriminate.
The SPRO notification option must be activated but only some of them should be delivered by email.
Do you know any BADI or any other form to discriminate that notifications go by email
thanks

Hello Jorge,
Are you talking about recipient notification or approval workflow mail ?
If it is for approval workflow, see my previous response.
On the contrary, if it is about recipient notication, Muthuramam gave you the good way: by customizing, you can define for which document type you allow or not recipient notification.
Regards.
Laurent.

  • Errors appeared in alert log file should send an email

    Hi,
    I have one requirement to do, as i am new dba, i dont know how to do this,
    sendmail is configured on my unix machine, but dont know how to send the errors appeared in alert logfile should send an email to administrator.
    daily, it has to check the errors in alert log file, if any errors occurs(ORA- errors or WARNING errors) should send an email to administrator.
    please help me how to do it

    Hi,
    There are many methods for interrogating the alert log and sending e-mail. Here are my notes:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_alert_log_monitoring_errors.htm
    - PL/SQL or Java with e-mail alert: http://www.dba-village.com/village/dvp_papers.PaperDetails?PaperIdA=2383
    - Shell script - Database independent and on same level as alert log file and e-mail.
    - OEM - Too inflexible for complex alert log analysis rules
    - SQL against the alert log - You can define the alert log file as an external table and detect messages with SQL and then e-mail.
    Because the alert log is a server side flat file and because e-mail is also at the OS-level, I like to use a server side scell script. It's also far more robust then OEM, especially when combining and evaluating multiple alert log events. Jon Emmons has great notes on this:
    http://www.lifeaftercoffee.com/2007/12/04/when-to-use-shell-scripts/
    If you are on Windows, see here:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_windows_alert_log_script.htm
    For UNIX, Linux, Jon Emmons has a great alert log e-mail script.
    Hope this helps . . . .

  • I need to create a link which will send on email

    hi All
    i need to create a link which will send to email after click to that link it will directly opent that portlet so i want to know how to create
    runtime link.

    What you're referring to is a drop down menu. Those can't be created normally in iWeb. They can be added to a iWeb page but require an HTML snippet and javascript. Some possible javascript solutions have been posted in this forum. Search for drop down menu. Also do a Google search for drop down menu to get a number of sites with possible solutions.
    Or, you can create a separate Residential page and put photos of windows, shower doors, etc. on it and use them as links to the pages for the windows, shower doors. Those pages don't have to be included in the navbar. You can turn it off in the Inspector/Page/Page pane.
    Also see Section 9 of this iWeb FAQ site.

    Oracle provides standard API’s to harness the databases SMTP server capabilities in sending emails. All email services are wrapped under package: UTL_SMTP. The protocol consists of a set of commands for an email client to dispatch emails to a SMTP server. The UTL_SMTP package provides interfaces to the SMTP commands. For many of the commands, the package provides both a procedural and a functional interface. The functional form returns the reply from the server for processing by the client. The procedural form checks the reply and will raise an exception if the reply indicates a transient (400-range reply code) or permanent error (500-range reply code). Otherwise, it discards the reply.
    c := UTL_SMTP.OPEN_CONNECTION('<server>.unix.us.ups.com');
    UTL_SMTP.HELO(c, '<server>.unix.us.ups.com');
    UTL_SMTP.MAIL(c, l_recepient);
    UTL_SMTP.RCPT(c, l_recepient);
    UTL_SMTP.OPEN_DATA(c);
    send_header('From', p_from);
    send_header('To', l_recepient);
    send_header('Subject', p_subject);
    UTL_SMTP.WRITE_DATA(c, UTL_TCP.CRLF || p_message);
    UTL_SMTP.CLOSE_DATA(c);
    UTL_SMTP.QUIT(c);

    The outgoing mail server is rejecting mail from your network address. Typically that happens when your mail service provider is also your ISP, and you connect to it from another network. The SMTP server will allow connections without a password from anywhere, but it will only relay mail from within the ISP's network. It could also be that your account on the server has expired or been suspended.
    If you need to send mail from outside your ISP's network, use an independent mail service provider. I don't have a specific recommendation.

  • How select an e-mail receiver which should send back delivery notifIcation

    Often happens that I send an e-mail message to several addresses but not all of them I expect should send me a delivery/receiving notification. How can I control this? How to select the message receivers don't need to send me the notifications back?

    Make sure the user name contains a valid ''@'' symbol and a domain like gmail.com
    For example ''[email protected]'' or
    ''[email protected]''

  • How can I disable the Send to Email button?

    Hi all,
    While creating a basic user ID in BOBJ 4.1 we found that even though we disable their Send Email rights in the BI Launchpad, they are still able to send emails from within the Analysis for OLAP tool.
    The reason why this is a problem is it asks users for a "From" email address, where they can put any email address from within the corporate network, which can result in the following scenario, where anyone can impersonate anyone else in the company.
    Does anyone know how we can restrict the Send Button, or at least remove the "From" field so users can only send emails from their own email address? In Webi, there is a specific right for this called "Desktop Interface - Send By Mail" but there is nothing like this as far as I can tell in any of the Analysis-related security items.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    John Cintolo

    What would be the point? Any user can download the file from the web: right click then save as. If you want users not to be able to open a pdf file after they view it one time, then Adobe has a DRM solution that can do this. It does cost a bit of change though.

  • I am using the mail aplication on my destocktop and even though i can receive i cant send any email from my hotmail account using BT

    i can send emails if i log in throw my internet browser and i can send emails from another network despide BT.i tried everything, i had check the all the settings
    every time i try to send an email that what apper
    my ports as well are set as they should be
    i did visited the apple store and my email worked perfectly there.... can anyone say whats wrong??

    Hi Pitas123
    I am in the UK and had a similar problem. Ii eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router.  Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.
    I found this fix below on https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4604180?start=15&tstart=0
    It worked for me.  If you can't link to the URL, here is the body of the text
    There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
    Here's how you can fix it.
    Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
    - Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
    - Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
    You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
    Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
    Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
    And then click on "apply"
    - restart your computer.
    That should fix the issue.
    Credit goes to vincentfromcork for providing me with the solution.
    Hope it works for you.  If it does, spread the word ;-)

  • HT5312 I can not  choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions. My answer lose

    You can edit or delete your rescue email address using the Apple ID website. To edit your rescue email address:
    Navigate to appleid.apple.com using your web browser.
    Click "Manage your account"
    When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
    Click Password & Security
    You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.  (
    Note: The option to send an email to reset your security questions and answers will not be available if a rescue email address is not provided. You will need to contact iTunes Store support in order to do so.
    My answer lose. I want reset security  questions answer

    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
    Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
    When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

  • Can SQL Server Express Send an Email When an SProc Finishes?

    I looked online for an answer to this; I didn't find anything definitive.  I'm wondering if I can get my SQL Server Express to send an email as soon as an SProc runs.  I know a more robust version of SQL Server can do it, but I don't know if the
    express version can do it.  If it can be done, can you please show me how to set it up, step by step.
    Thanks everyone!!
    Knowledge is the only thing that I can give you, and still retain, and we are both better off for it.

    if I can get my SQL Server Express to send an email as soon as an SProc runs.  I
    The SQL Server Express Edition don't support Database E-Mail feature; see
    Features Supported by the Editions of SQL Server 2012; so you can't send an e-mail.

  • Can't receive or send any emails on 8300

    Hi - my handheld stopped being able to send or receive any emails from (seemingly) one moment to the next a couple of days ago. I don't believe I changed any settings, and the connection is strong. The device was bought in the UK and I'm in the USA, but it's worked here every time before now. Can anyone suggest how I can send/receive emails again? Thanks.
    Solved!

  • Can't select and send several emails from outlook to onenote

    I have been successfully using the Send to Onenote button from Outlook when choosing either one email or numerous emails.  However, starting last week, I can no longer choose more than one email and send it to Onenote.  I can choose several emails
    and use the Print To Onenote option, but then all emails are put into a single page in Onenote.
    I can choose a single email at a time and send that to OneNote with no problem.
    I am running Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, 64 Bit
    Outlook and Onenote are Office Professional Plus 2010 32-bit
    Has anyone else experienced this?
    Thanks

    The latest fix is in thread "http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/cant-send-multiple-emails-to-onenote/52f276db-5826-49f3-93b5-45f9b5a9e4f7?page=2&rtAction=1386601168018"
    When I removed both KB2794707 and KB2837597 the problem with multiple email send to onenote went away again.  I wish they listed the authors on those fixes.  There may be a code fragment causing this that they keep inserting into newer fixes and
    it would be nice if that would stop.

    I can't receive or send email....so frustrating.

    You don't provide enough information for a response.
    What OS are you using?
    Is your mail problem new (OK previously)?
    Are you using Apple's mail app, your ISP's internet mail, or another service like gmail?
