  • View Specific Account Roles

    Hello,
I'm wondering as an admin if there is an easy way to view the application as if I were under a different and specific account role, similar to a ghost user. I basically want to see whatever the end user would see when they log into the system, including the contacts/accounts they will have access to. I would like to test several of the territory rules, book management, and user management that are enabled to ensure that the correct account information is being forwarded onto the users. Thank you, Mitch

    Hello,
The Ghost functionality was requested at the last CAB meeting but this has not made it into R17 im sorry. I believe something similar has been put on the roadmap but currently i cannot tell you when this will be deployed.
I understand your issues here as you would have to change alot of default values to see what they see at the moment there is no quick fix.

  • Provision Unix accounts/roles/groups to Directory server using OIM

    Hi,
I have a requirement to integrated large number of Unix servers with LDAP (OID or Sun Directory Server) for Centralized Authentication and Authorization and to provision Unix accounts/roles/groups to Directory server using OIM, I have following queries.
    1. If using PAM_LDAP then what are the schema changes required in ldap to support it ?
    2. Does OIM's out of box connector for OID or Sun Directory Server supports Unix accounts/roles/groups provisioning to Directory server ? If not, can it be extend ? or do I need to write a custom connector ?
    3. If I use Oracle Authentication Services for OS for centralized unix account management then OIM provisioning is same as #2 or different ?
    Thanks
    Nitin

yes. iPlanet connector support for multivalued attribute. Go through the connector doc. It will let you know how to extend its functionality.

  • Reconciliation account role in vendor master

Please provide the detail about role of reconciliation a/c in vendor master

Reconciliation account in typical accounting terms would " Control account ".
Means the creditors account in which you want to show the outstanding .
like Creditors for Materials or Creditors for services or Creditors for other purchase etc.
So let say you are posting any invoice of expense then system would pass the entry like this :
    Expense A/c Dr. 100
    To, Creditors materials A/c 100 .
So in sundry creditors it would show as Rs 100 outstanding and in subledger that is vendor account you will see that 100 Rs. as open item .

  • Possible values of an account role are missing

Dear SAP Collegues, I'm working with CRM 7 and I have a problem updating some fields of the account.
In GUI we can change the role of the BP, now in UI at the ROLE assignment block I can't see the possible values to assign to the bp as a valid role.  The configuration in SPRO is ok and I can see the values in the GUI but no in the UI. The role field doesn't show a match code.
Thanks in advance by your help.

Thanks for your answer Christophe. I read the note but the same does not apply since I'm not using the functionality of the life cycle of the account. There are currently no set group exclusion. The problem appear when I'm trying to assign a new role. In Accounts at the assignment block named ROLE  I can see the current role but I can't  add a new one since the values are not showed  and the match code is not visible too.
In SAP GUI BP transaction the behavior is the expected.
I am working on CRM 7.0

  • Workflow for Particular Role(Only) has to qualify the lead.

    Hi all,
The lead(s) has to be qualified by only one role, and lead(s) should be converted with the other role. How this can be done.
    For example.
Here "sales & Marketing Manager" has to qualify the lead and no permission to convert.
Here "admin" has to convert the lead into account and opportunity.
I tried with using lookup function, not suceeded. need help.
    Regards,
    Ratan

You could try putting validation on the Lead Status field based on a user's role. E.g.
    IF(UserValue('<Role>') <> 'Sales Manager' AND PRE('<Status>') <>'Qualified' and [Status] = 'Qualified' THEN "ERROR", '')
The syntax above is far from correct but hopefully enough for you to have a play. The PRE condition here is used to make sure someone is actually modifying a Lead which wasn't previously Qualified otherwise any amendments to existing qualified leads would throw errors. Let me know how you get on, personally I don't like the above as it's likely to cause issues.
    Thanks

  • Account role, privileges

related to "User access to OEM" thread (but removing the OEM element )

I want to create a user account (user A) that has limited 'DBA' permission. This user must have permission to modify 1 other schema (user B). I do not want 'user A' to modify ANY other schema (i.e. user C, user D)

  • Workflow Service Account not connecting to Content Databases

I have created a Project Site called "SP Migration" and allocated a number of tasks at say,
http://domain/sites/spmigration.  I noticed in My Sites that tasks from the root site collection where there but any from my Project site were not.  Then, I've noticed in the Event Viewer the below error
(this account is the workflow management service account)
I have checked the Web Application that hosts this site collection and the sps_workflow_service has full control permissions.  I know I can probably go about add permissions directly in SQL but I don't want to have to do that for all Site Collections
and I'm sure this is not meant to be done this way in any event.  How can I apply this permissions to all SP Content Databases?

    Hi,
Could you please provide more information about your migration? Since the issue appears to occur only to new or migrated site collections, there might be something there.
If you are not sure about what permission should apply to service accounts, you could refer to the references below:

  • Workflow 2013 Breaking Role Inheritance On Workflow Task list

When breaking role inheritance on the out of the box Workflow Task List (2013), a custom workflow is suspended when assigning a task
(System.Collections.Generic.KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. ).
As soon as task list is inheriting permissions again, the workflow is able to assign tasks. (Similar issue: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/8c60da76-8299-436c-8528-802fa5a594c3/2013-workflow-with-unique-permissions-on-task-list-ends-up-suspended).

  • Workflows and account permissions

    Hi all,
I have a scenario, which I will describe below, and which to me doesn't sound normally, if someone knows something about this it would be much appreciated.
    The scenario is this:
I have a criteria workflow with one step. I have set the security group, the criteria definition and added a user to the step. The step is a review/edit revision step. This user has access to some account, let's call it acc1(RW). The authentication type of the user is external.
The user is able to check-in a document in the CS, upon check-in the document enters the workflow(as expected). The document has set as account the account acc1. So far all is good.
I now change the account so that acc1(RW) becomes acc1(R), so that the user has Read permission to the account and not Read-Write permission.
The document is in the workflow and the user tries to do an update, this action is forbidden(which i would have expected). because of the Read permission and not Read-Write permission.
Now comes what I don't understand: if the user tries to check-out and check-in the document, these actions are allowed, despite the Read permission on the account acc1! I was expecting that the actions won't be allowed, but they were. This comes against the fact that before I was prevented from updating the metadatas of the document...
    Is this the normal behavior?
    Thanks,
    Vlad

    > Are you referring to check-out / -in within a workflow?
    Yes
    > have you tried to approve the document...?
No, I just tried to update the metas and checkout/in actions
    > do the same outside the workflow?
Outside of a wf all behaves as expected: not possible to update the metas or checkout/in document
    > Can't this be caused by the fact that the user is also an author, or something?
Tried with another user other than the author and it behaved in the same way
    Thanks,
    V.

  • CUP Workflow - Approval on role level

    Hi Community,
I have a question regarding the design/capabilities of CUP.
    Scenario:
Stage 1 - based on Functional Area --> approval on request level
Stage 2 - based on organisational area of role --> approval on role level
    ===========================================
In stage 2, the person A receives the request with all the roles (let's say 10). Out of these 10 roles, there are 3 within his area. I understand that 7 are greyed out and therefore only approval for "his" 3 roles is required.
    Here come the questions:
    - If I set the stage to "mitigation enforced", a risk analysis needs to be performed. That Risk Analysis will deliver risks that derive from all 10 roles or only the 3?
    - Since approval needs to be given for the other 7 roles as well by person B, the request is forwarded to person B once the person A approves. What is the order that CUP applies here? Who gets the request first? I know that the request is not split and parallel processing does not take place since I do not use different initiators... so it must be some kind of order that is applied.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
    Mo

    Mo,
The risk analysis is always performed on full CUP request. It does not care @ who is the approver at that point.
Also, role owner level approval always happens parallely. You should try this and you will see it. There is no order. Both person A and person B can approve the request at same time.

  • Credit Clarification workflow Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable

    Dear Experts,
I am having the requirement of workflow in credit clarification process. I am not able to activate the workflow for this process.
Could anyone suggest me how to activate the workflow in credit clarification.
    Thanks
    Aswin

    Hi ,
The event 4255 is specifically provided for authorization in credit calrification .
Here you would have to define your custom flow of document , check the same with your Abaper regarding creation of a workflow for the same and using this event you would be able to trigger the same .

  • Workflow tasks in derived roles

    Hello,
I am involved in a EHS Product Compliance project that uses workflow.
In PFCG I assign a standard workflow task to a role under the workflow tab.  If I go to tcode PFTC, type in the workflow task number then navigate to: Additional Data->Agent assignment->Display, the user account assigned to the role is listed and clicking the Overall View button I see the role assignment.
The problem is when I derive the role.  In this case the tasks show up under the workflow tab, but the derived role is not listed under PFCT and this role does not allow my end user to process workflows.
Are there any known limitations using workflows in derived roles?

    Hello Savitha,
What you proposed will work, but that defeats the who purpose of deriving roles.  I want to add the workflow tasks to the base role and then have my 30 derived roles updated automatically.

  • Set default role for Account in SAP CRM 7.0

We are using SAP CRM 7.0
When an end user creates a new account there is a section called
"Role" sub assignment block with entries like "Competitor", "Account", Contact Person, etc.
I want by default when you create an account that the role Account is specified in there.
I want it done automatically and do not want to rely on the end user to seelct this.
I was able to do this with contacts by using an SAP note to set this for cotnact person.
But does anyone know how to do it for an Account ?
All I want to do is that when an account is created the system automatically sets the role as "Account".
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Hi Jon,
For any code changes in bsp components we need it's z-instance and that we get after enhancing the respective entity for eg views, context nodes etc..
In case you are not familiar with the enhancement, please refer to some thread which explain about the component enhancement concept.
    Coming to this requirement..
You need to enhance bp_roles component, then enhance rolelist view and roles context node.. redefine the GET_V_PARTNERROLE method.. copy the parent class code and do the necessary changes to manipulate the entries in gt_ddlb_add
Check the statement at line no 107..
    gr_ddlb_roles->set_selection_table( it_selection_table = gt_ddlb_add ).
Just before above statment call, manipulate gt_ddlb_add to keep the required role value at index 1..
Another thing in my test system i can't see any role as "Account" under SPRO customizing "Business Partner Roles" instead "Business Partner (Gen.)" is available, don't know if you are able to see Account Role in the Roles DDLB..
i would suggest debug the get_v_partnerrole method once at line no 107 see the entries in gt table you will get an idea what you need to change.
    Hope this helps..
    Cheers,
    Sumit Mittal
