Workflow Permissions with Custom 2013 workflows
Hello,
A user can design and publish a workflow.
However, unless they are a Site admin the workflow never kicks-off. I've tried manually triggering and triggering when a new item is added to a library. The workflow I am using for testing purposes is a simple send email when an Item is added.
I've tried this for several users, unless they are a site admin the workflow doesn't work. It will show a status of started but won't display the stage in the library or even work. Note, that there is no error message displayed everything seems to be normal.
Further, out of the box solutions work just fine.
How can this work for non site admins?

I have created an InfoPath form that submits to a Sharepoint library with custom workflow attached. The workflow is initiated when the user submits the form. An email is sent to the supervisor who clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and approved
the form via the emailed form. Then, based on certain criteria the form is either emailed to the VP or the workflow is complete. The VP is sent an email and clicks the "Encoded Absolute URL" and sumbits the form via the emailed form. This is
how I would like it to work. The reality is, the form submits and is emailed to the supervisor and the supervisor is able to approve but when the form is sumbitted I get an error. The error is "InfoPath cannot submit the form. An error occured while

is not checked out. I have read in previous posts that the file is locked. Since I am in the testing faze of the project there is no one else using the form. I don't have a 'full' fix for you, but I noticed at least in our case if you made sure you opened the Infopath form through the browser instead of the client Infopath program (use the drop-down menu

I understand as per below link that minimum three servers are required to provide high availability for Workflow Manager 1.0 in SharePoint 2013.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to configure the high availability for Workflow Manager 1.0 with SharePoint 2013.
Per my knowledge, the three servers just have the same Hardware pre-requisites:

You can use Network Load Balancing (NLB), Application Request Routing (ARR) or slightly less trivial with another load balancing solution to implement the high availability for Workflow Manager.

Create Document Set with custom Create Only permission set
Here is the situation. We have a requirement where my customer wants to create document sets, however, document set/document level permissions are required.
Setup: We created a new permission level called "Create Only". We then give the user Read and Create only permissions. This allows the user to theoretically create the item. We then run a Workflow on create that Replaces the permissions so that
you are only allowed to view the ones you created along with other security groups based on their choices in the metadata fields.
This setup works PERFECTLY when using a List or Form Library.
However, for the life of me I cannot get it to work for Document Sets. If I have the same setup, I get an Access Denied message. However, it still creates the document set.
What is weird, I've been playing around with custom permission levels and it seems as though the user has to have EDIT permissions at a minimum in order to create the document set. This will not work for me since I dynamically assign permissions to each
document set based on what they select.
As a side note, the only tool I have at my disposal is SharePoint Designer 2010.
Does anyone know if there is an actual requirement to have EDIT permissions when creating a Document Set? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Alternatively, is there a way to setup permissions on a library for all NT Authenticated users so that we can give them the necessary permissions to create the Document Set, but still prevent them from see the other items and then the Workflow would set
the permissions accordingly?
I believe the more granular the permissions it uses those permissions instead so would this work? I have not tested this theory yet.Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to know if there is an actual requirement to have EDIT permissions when creating a Document Set and is there a way to setup permissions on a library for all NT Authenticated users and prevent
them from seeing items created by others.
For the first question, per my knowledge, if a user is given the Add Items permission, he/she can create a document set in SharePoint.
However, there is an error “access denied” after the document set is created. It is due to the user has no permission to access the page which SharePoint will redirect the user to after finishing creating the document set.
If the user is also given Edit Items permission, there will be no error when he/she create a document set.
For the second question, I recommend to follow the link below to
customize item permissions for each document submitted to a document library and remember to give the
NT Authenticated users contribute permission.

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you configured Workflow Manager for SharePoint 2013.
For resolving your issue, please do as the followings:
1.Start -> Programs -> Workflow Manager 1.0 -> Workflow Manager Configuration -> Remove from Farm (not to be confused with SharePoint “farm”)
2.Drop SQL databases for Workflow Manager. (SbGatewayDatabase, SbManagementDB, SBMessageContainer01, WFInstanceManagementDB, WFManagementDB, WFResourceManagementDB)
3.Start-> Programs-> Workflow Manager 1.0 -> Workflow Manager Configuration -> Configure Workflow Manager with Default Settings (Recommended)
4.Ran the wizard just like before and it should be completed successfully this time.

Do you any idea how I can I set up following stock transfer process?
Plant A of company code X delivers the goods directly into the consignment stock of end customer abroad.
This consignment stock belongs to the plant B of company code Y. We need an IC-invoice between X and Y and a delivery document (fill-up) for plant A to end customer delivery.
My first plan was a stock transfer via 643, but the problem is it is not possible to post 101 with customer consignment.
I am trying to set up one central document and all process is covered by this one.
Do you have any idea how this can be solved? Perhaps workflow? Or a new movement type?

and your Biz process is :1 create consignment SO to ship out inventory from plant B directly but within the sales are of company code X 2 customer consumption of inventory and you create order to charge your customer 3 IC billing from suppling plant B A 4 IC invoice in buying plant X
then , the conresponding process in SAP :
1 create consignment SO in company code X with plant B
2 post GI with movement tyep 631
3 create SO for consumption purpose
4 post GI with movement type 631 W-
5 billing your customer
6 IC billing from supplying plant B( you need additional setup in IDES for this step)
7 invoice account creation in companly code X

Can't get OWA to work on Essentials 2012 R2 with Exchange 2013 on second server 2012 R2 std.
I have previously with success setup a working solution with server 2012 essentials, and a second server 2012 std. with exchange 2013, I did it following this guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj200172.aspx
Unfortunately I lost the server due to a cooling error which led to an un-repairable essentials 2012, since this was a new setup and also a test setup I didn't have any working backup solution setup at the time...tsk.tsk.
Since I had to make a complete do over I chose to try out the new R2 server editions, and set it up following the same guide, when it came to this part:
Download KB2732764 for ARR 2.5, and then install the update on the server that is running Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
Copy the SSL certificate file for Exchange Server to the server that is running Windows Server 2012 Essentials. The certificate file must contain the private key, and it must be in the PFX file format.
Note
If you are using a self-issued certificate, follow the instruction in the Exchange Server article Export an Exchange Certificate to export the certificate.
Open a command window as an administrator, and then open the %ProgramFiles%\Windows Server\Bin directory.
Based on you installation scenario, follow one of these steps to configure ARR:
If you are performing a clean setup, run the following command:
ARRConfig config –cert “path to the certificate file” –hostnames “host names for Exchange Server”
I noticed that the version of "Application request routing" had changed to version 3, so obviously I didn't need to dl the 2.5 update.. When I came to the part where I wa instructed to run arrconfig config etc. I noticed
that the ARRconfig file no longer where placed where the setup guide indicated, I then went ahead and tried som manual configuration regarding certificates and such. In the end I have a working solution where Exchange and OWA is working locally but OWA isn't
working outside my local domain, the link get's placed in the RWA and is indicating the correct link for the exchange server www.remote.clinten.dk I have a certificate which include to separate domain names aforementioned and remote.clinten.dk and
I get no errors indicating certificate errors, when I try to connect to www.remote.clinten.dk/owa from outside I get a 404 error, and when I connect to www.remote.clinten.dk I get the RWA login screen for the essentials RWA. Obviously I need to set up something
in ISS probably in the url rewrite section, but I can't seem to find the right setting.. Can someone help with this?

I am aware that exchange 2013 atm. isn't officially supported on the R2 server, but the exchange works fine inside my domain, and the pop3/smtp also works from outside, since this Is a test environment, using only my own private domain and not a company

The problem has been solved by Microsoft and I have included their findings below, but basically it comes down to a typo!
I often use notepad to have all the commands I need on hand, and I must have copied the command direct from the TechNet article or other website and customised the required fields. The issue with this is one of the characters did not “convert” - for want
of a better word. I should have retyped the whole command from scratch and it would have been right!

Basically the command fails due to invalid parameter, the invalid one is the ‘-‘. I think the one customer used is copied from the online document sample which translate to the unicode is 0x8211 means “en dash”, it
can’t be input by normal keyboard, so I pretty sure it is from web (mostly HTML document).
The one we check (compare) is ‘-‘ which has the code 0x45.
So it always failed to compare the parameter and ARRconfig.exe thought it is invalid parameter.
The solution is quite simple, just using keyboard to retype the command, using normal ‘-‘ and I have tried the password prompt shows

I am trying to manage a shared inbox access rights and send as permissions with a security group. My server is a 2013 CU7. What I did is create a mailbox called HR. Then I created a security group called HR Group. I then assigned
the HR Group to the HR Shared mailbox with the EAC and cmd-lets to allow HR Group fullaccess and send-as rights. The permissions do not seem to be applied even though the group shows in the EAC mailbox delegation window. When I go to access/send
as I get permission denied. Is there a way to use groups for this? When I explicitly give myself permission to the HR shared mailbox it works fine. Any thoughts?Hi,
Please check the permissions that the HR group has on HR mailbox by the following command:
Get-MailboxPermission -Identity “HR” –User “HR group”
Please try to grant HR mailbox full access and send as permission to HR Group with the following command again to check this issue:
Add-MailboxPermission -Identity “HR” –User “HR group” -AccessRights “FullAccess” -InheritanceType All
Add-ADPermission -Identity "HR" -User “HR group” -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights "Send As"
And what do you mean Inbox Permission? We usually use the
Add-MailboxFolderPermission cmdlet to manage folder-level permissions within a user’s mailbox.

Running under WIN7-64 bit with Office 2013. Requests reinstall every time it is run. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No change. Office 2013 does not recognize that Visio 2007 is installed. Copy paste operations between Visio and Word 2013 don't

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to see the calendar view begin and end time for the time interval.
We can use the SharePoint Manager to view the internal name for the begin and end time for the time interval.
Open SharePoint Manager 2013->click your site->click
Lists->select your list name->click Views->select your calendar view name->click the
Schema Xml to check the internal name for the time interval begin and end.

Hi, I have read numerous posts that go back and forth on the question "is SSRS Native Mode supported to work with SharePoint 2013?" and it seems like the answer is no, it is not. Even with SP1 like some people suggested it seems like it is impossible
to integrate the two.
In this case is the next step simply to somehow (IIS?) route the Report Server Web Service URL to a SharePoint page?
What should I do with the fact that everyone in my domain can access the above mentioned URL?

As per my understanding, you want to allow everyone in your domain to access Report Server Web Service URL, but you don’t know how to grant permissions, then you think we can control permission using sharepoint, right?
In native mode, we can grant permissions to access Report Server Web Service URL by following steps:
From the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Computer Management.
Click to expand the Local Users and Groups node.
Right-click Groups, then click New Group, type the name and description, then add domain users to the group.
Start Report Manager.
Click Site Settings.
Click Security.
Click New Role Assignment.
In Group or user name, enter the group you created above.
Select a system role, and then click OK.
In this way, domain users can access report manager. If they want to view, add, and manage report server content, subscriptions, report processing, and report history, we need to assign Item-level role on specific folders or items to them. Besides, in earlier
version of SQL Server 2012, we can configure Reporting Services to native or sharepoint integrated mode, from SQL Server 2012, we can configure Reporting Services to native and sharepoint integrated mode.

In Excel 2003 I used the following lines (see BELOW) to populate my color palate (in an orderly manner) with custom colors.
It appears that these commands did not make the migration to Excel 2013.
Could someone please help me with the fix.

I should probably mention that the ColorPalate code resides (along side) with other code... in a macro subroutine that configures Excel for the way I work.

it is the same way we create in VS 2010.
Add a new empty SP project in VS2012 and then add, site, list and fields as per your requirement.

and I normally create a blank site with all required configuration and then create, import the template to hand craft the list and fields. this would minimize errors.

Is this now included by default in 6.0 OSP Plugin? I downloaded the 6.0 plug-in and opened up all the jars, and I don't see any evidence of FLAR support in 6.0. If this is so, where can I download JetFLAR.pkg? Pete.
