Workflow process locked by admin

Hi
I was using WLI BPM and suddenly the worklist application got hung. I killed the
server and brought it up and the studio again. Now when I try to open the workflow
in the studio, I get the message that 'The workflow is locked by admin'. I want
to unlock the workflow. Are there any tables that I can access and update? How
can I do this? I deleted all the running instances. Still it gives the same message.
Any help would be truly appreciated.

We have not restarted the planning services, but checked in few tables namely "HSP_PLANNING_UNIT_LOGS"
which shows the current owners ids set to 50001 which I believe is admin for all the possible combinations for the scenario and versions...
It is a production application, we can get the schema backup which will have the original states and the owner Ids but how can we populate the
existing tables to get the states back in the current application, rather than restoring all in a separate application...

    Hi, We are working in Hyperion 9.3.3. Today morning we saw that the current owners for all the entities are changed to admin for few commbinations of scenario and version members.
    We sneaked into the audit tables and we can see the changes in those table for all the planning units but inside the application, it is all admin.
    All the process workflow history is wiped off and all the names are replaced with admin. This has happened for all the entities for monthly cycles for all the previous and current year.
    Can anybody help me to resolve or help me with some pointers to look into the tables to get that resolved.

  • Cannot execute workflow process definition

    Hi,
    I am new to Siebel. We are researching on Siebel Public Sector Case screens.
    I have installed Siebel Client & Tools and defined the Debug configurations in the Tools. When I hit F5 in Tools, the Client loads. However, when I click on the Eligibility button on the Case screen I am rendered the error: *"cannot execute workflow process definition 'PUB Eligibility Determination Workflow'. (SBL-BPR-00158)"*.
    Browsing through the Administration - Business Process -> Workflow Monitor, I noticed that none of the Workflows (available in the Tools) are getting displayed. Please let me know if there is any configuration that I might have missed out.

    Hi,
    In case this is a new installation of Siebel, by default Workflow processes are not activated on the Server. As a result you will face the mentioned error.
    In this case just go to the Administration - Business Process -> Workflow Deployment -> Repository Workflow Processes and in the top applet query for the Workflow causing the error. Also query for the same in the lower applet as well. If there is no record in the lower applet or if the Repository Version in the lower applet is not matching to that on the upper applet, you need to click on the Activate button on the Top applet to enable the latest version on the server.
    By Check In process it means that you check-out i.e. lock a particular object for exclusive modification and then checking it in i.e. publishing the changes onto the server for all the other developers.

  • DIM Workflow - How can I return task status for workflow process

    Hi all,
    I'd like to build a DIM workflow process to run a unix shell script. Under the workflow, I've created a task object and assign the unix shell script into it.
    Although the DIM workflow works fine to run the unix shell script in the normal case, however, it cannot return the error status in the task when my shell script is failed (such as exit 2 at the end of script).
    May I know if there any setting in the workflow/task, in order to change the status on DIM workflow.

    Hi,
    Yes, you can create a startmenu item and configure it to use your workflow. That way, when you create a new asset using that startmenu item, the asset will be assigned to your workflow.
    You can also simply select an asset that's not in workflow yet, and assign it to workflow. You do that by going to the Status screen, then in the workflow drop-down menu select the option to assign the asset to workflow.
    Use Finish My Assignment to move the asset to the next workflow step.

  • Not Receiving Email Notifications via Hyperion Workflow Process

    Hi All,
    Configuring SMTP for workflow process in Hyperion planning.
    I did the following steps for the above process.
    1--> I checked whether SMTP server is running or not using Telnet command in the machine where the application is running-->*[Its working fine]*
    2-->Then I logged in to planning application with admin credentials and set the Email server details as follows
    2.a) *[Planning-->Administration-->Application-->Settings-->I entered the Email server details]*
    2.b) *[Planning-->File-->Preferences-->Planning-->I mentioned the Email address for administrator]*
    3--> I created several users using shared services console and I set the security Access type as Descendents Inclusive for each and every dimensions.
    4--> I set the Email address for every users which are created in the above step *[Planning-->File-->Preferences-->Planning]*
    5--> I created a Planning unit Hierarchy.
    6-->I logged as a Planner and I entered the budget in the Data form .
    7-->I promoted this budget to the Higher official for verification process.
    8-->But I didn't get the status mail for the above process.
    Kindly guide me whether I am following the right procedure to config SMTP in my application.
    How to get the status of the notification mail through relational tables.
    Kindly mention the location of log files regarding this issue.
    Please guide me to overcome this issue.

    Anonymous in the sense that you mean like Unauthenticated connection. Yes my mail server is unauthenticated server, hence it doesn't require any username and password.

This can be the result of business situations that cause multiple updates to be performed for given customer fields such as Customer Account Group field. A new program must be developed to let the user mass update the Customer Account Group field (KNA1-KTOKD). The Program should be accessed on demand using a new T.Code (YMDM_ACCTGRP_CHG).
    Business users will submit a spreadsheet in the appropriate upload format to CDM along with written approval from the Food Service data owner to execute the upload in P07. CDM will execute the upload, record all documentation for the audit change log and notify the submitter when complete

    The following are the requirements:
    u2022     This tool will enable a user to perform bulk update to the customer account group field.

  • Interrupt workflow process in process controlled workflow

    Hello experts,
    In a custom requirement, we need to interrupt the workflow process.
    For example, if we have 4 levels of approval. After the 2nd approver has approved the shopping cart, then the workflow process should be kept on hold. Based on a custom interface result, if the condition from another interface is satisfied, then the shopping cart should appear in 3rd approver's UWL.
    I tried with triggering interrupt method of class /SAPSRM/cl_wf_apv_facade in save BADI of shopping cart. But it did not work.
    Please let me know how can i interrupt the workflow process till some custom condition is satisfied.

    Quite often this kind of requirements can be fulfilled by using wait steps in the workflow. One example could be that you put a "wait for event" step in your workflow template. Then you could trigger this event from your interface (or whatever) with function module SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT.
    Maybe I should ask that how do you know that the condition has been fulfilled? Is it a field in a certain table, or? If yes, instead of the "wait for event" step, you could also wait that your condition is fulfilled (a field in your table gets value X). Just take a look into the workflow template and its step types. Wait step is the way to go.
    Of course it might be possible that in the SRM/shopping cart workflows, there is already something built-in, which can be then utilized by using some of the BADIs, but if you cannot find anything from the documentation, then choose one of the above-mentioned approaches.

  • Using Javascript to email a form in a workflow process

    I've created an Acroform which will be routed around in a workflow process.  The user will open the form, add information and hit a button which is coded in javascript usng the mailDoc function.
    It works perfectly EXCEPT that each time the document is forwarded, "Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf" gets appended to the name of the file in the email.  It doesn't actually rename the file, so the file does open properly, but the email looks pretty goofy.
    Example.  The filename is Form14.pdf. 
    When the third person signs off and clicks the email button, the email is created, with the address, subject line and body of the email completed, and the document attached has the little icon and then
    - Form 14.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf - Adobe Acrobat Pro.pdf
    Is there some way to prevent it from concatenating like this every time the document is emailed?

  • FTP error in oracle workflow process

    Hi All,
    I have written a workflow process which deletes a file on FTP. The process is deleting the file but is showing a warning message. Does anybody have a idea regarding this. One more thing even if file is not found the process completion status is successful. Its status should be error.
    The ftp site is on the same machine as owb server.
    The following values have been passed
    Command: ftp
    Parameter List: /-A/localhost/
    Success Threshold: 0
    Script: delete filename
    Output Message Received:

    I am not saying your method is not correct, but if you give a shot to go with User Defined Activity. Yep that's correct , just write line in a shell script and call that script in user defined activity.
    Property values
    command ksh
    script     pathname with that script file name (/tst/usr/script/filename.ksh)
    or
    command     mv
    parameter_list     pathname with that filename
    I feel this is very simple and easy to manage too.

    A user add a record into table A, when done MDM trigger the workflow in Visio. The workflow has to add a record in table B coping some values of table A.

    I am really doubt that MDM has the feature of adding a record to an table thru workflow process, rather workflow process can be triggered as you said while creating a record.

We are showing out the asset created within the WebCenter Sites in another application via its API.     Here is some information from the FDK Programmer's guide page 115:
    IMPORTANT: A valid text range can span multiple paragraphs, subcolumns, or text frames.
    It cant span multiple flows, footnotes, table cells, or text lines.
    It is possible for a document to have no text selection or insertion point at all. This can occur in
    the following circumstances:
    ● One or more graphic objects in the document are selected
    ● One or more entire table cells in the document are selected
    ● There is no selection of any type in the document
    So, I did select one or more entire table cells in the document in my first test. It's logical that the result was not like expected.
    But selecting one or more entire table cells is a crucial requirement for my plugin, is there anyway to get things straight?
    Simply put, I want to enable users to select one or more table cells in the document, and I want to get the object handles of the first cell and the last cell through Framemaker API calls. How?

  • Own workflow process step (java) not listed in the generic Process step component

    Based on the description Extending Workflow Funtionality I have used this sample to create a bundle with the CRXDE Development Environment. Almost just copying the code from the page (had to make some adjustments to correct program errors in this sample) an then build bundle. According to Note 2 this program should be seen in the list supplied by Process step Component when editing a workflow. But it is not there.

    Ulrich,
    CRXDE does not support the Java annotations which are listed in the documentations. When you want to leverage CRXDE (which is for development ... discouraged), you need to migrate to JavaDoc style annotations.
    For documentation how you can setup a development workflow based on a Java IDE and maven please see [0].
