Workflow status web part gives error when going back to previous stage (using GO TO) transition activity in Project Server 2013 workflow.
Please guide how to create a workflow which restarts from a desired stage.

what do you mean to restart the Project Server 2013 with different project name, please elaborate....

Content Query Web Part gives error when trying to edit

Hello there,
When I put the page in edit mode and try to edit the content query web part I get an unexpeced error. When searching the correlation ID from the error message I see this message a lot:

ConsoleUtilies.GetContextualControlMode had no currentPage so the current SPWebPartManager mode cannot be retrieved.
The error message says something about Publishing and I had an Publishing issue before the CQWB issue happened.
The thing is that the CQWB is dependent on the Publishing feature. The publishing feature when turned on (as site collection feature) creates Content types. One of these content types was removed because when I tried to create a new publishing site
I got an error about a missing content type.
I deactivated the site collection publishing feature (after deactivating it on all sites where it was activated) and then activated it again so it reacreates the content types. This was working, since now I can create Publishing sites again.
The problem is that I can not edit the CQWB anymore. But it is still showing the query in correct lay-out. Also when I add a new CQWB I have the same issue. I can add it, but not edit.
I also made a new test site collection and here everything works fine. I tried to copy the .webpart from the test to the problem-sitecollection, but the webpart is just not editable on my broken site collection.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Im assuming it has something to do with the publishing issue I had....

I disabled all publishing features on all subsites
Then I disabled the site collection publishing feature
Then I enabled the site collection publishing feature again
I enabled publishing feature on the subsites where I want to use the content query web part and also on the subsites where the query is coming from
So: Yes, the publishing feature is enabled

Help needed Regarding Project Server - 2013 Workflow

Hi All,
I am new to Project server 2013 Workflow, hence please help me regarding this. Pardon me if this question is too trivial.
I have created a project type associated with a workflow and my workflow is as follows :
So I am not doing anything here, I am just testing the workflow as mentioned by technet site : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn458865(v=office.15).aspx
But it is mentioned that, after a minute or 2, the workflow state will change, also they have mentioned to press the Submit button.
But in my case, the workflow is not moving to next stage [It just says 'The workflow is still processing - which never changes after hours] or I am getting the submit button (Submit button is disabled on the ribbon). Below is the state of my workflow :
PS : I have made the user added to Portfolio managers group as well. But still I am having this same issue.
The Workflow manager is installed properly, and it is working fine in case of List workflow. I am facing the issue only wrt Site workflow for Project server 2013.
Please help me to solve this issue.

I am now facing issue while assigning a task to a person in the workflow.
I am having a person named say 'John' , who is included in Project Manager as well as Portfolio Manager.
And I am using a workflow as :
Stage : Conceptual
Assign a task to John (Task outcome to Variable: Outcome5 | Task ID to Variable: TaskID3 )
Transition to stage
Go to Approval
But this is again giving issue as :
Workflow Internal status : Cancelled
Details: System.ApplicationException: HTTP 401 {"error":{"code":"-2147024891, System.UnauthorizedAccessException","message":{"lang":"en-US","value":"Access denied. You do not have
permission to perform this action or access this resource."}}}
PS : I have used the same Sharepoint admin account for 'Account Name' in ‘User Profile Sync' , Is this causing the issue? Please let me know.

App crashing when going back to previous view

I've got my app. which has several views. in my 3rd view, i have a list of questions with yes/no answers the answers to which I'm saving to a plist. it was working all good. but then i added a first view with a table which has 4 options, clicking on either of these rows go to the same view but each of them change the value of the variable in my singleton class, which then decides which questions are added to the 3rd view. so this helps me to jus have one view but the variable controls the different questions. Now my problem is that if i change something in my 3rd view, for eg, i choose yes/no , then when i am going back to the main viw , my app crashes. I am not sure why this happens.How does it work anyway-the inherent back button on the navigation bar? im guessing it calls the viewdidload function for the first/second view when going back to them from the first view, i dont undrstand why it crashes, coz the viewdidloads of these views seem okay to me.

As i was in progress to making workflows in sharepoint designer this is my first project of implementing project server 2013 and executing the workflows,in the continuation of this i followed below mentioned link to go through the process of WORKFLOWS but
got some issue

ISSUE: Is that the SUBMIT Button is grayed out after saving initial proposal plan. Snapshot is attached.
I have checked in/out process along with this gone through re-executed the whole process same result occurred.

Hi Danish,
Its a common thing which users are experiencing.
When you create project from workflow click on Submit it take time for transition before transition it check all the condition which you have set for workflow stage. As per your screenshot it is waiting for details in PDP (Provide details of the proposed project)
when you click on submit it push data into the database,sometimes it send e mails to stakeholder then it use exchange and take times to send e-mails and for transition too.
When you/user face this issue ask them to wait for some time or close the file then reopen.
In the screen workflow is waiting for Project detail information in PDP that is why it is still in process and not going to next stage.

Error using Line Classifications in Project Server 2013 Timesheets

Background:
I'm working on a Project Server 2013 environment that is using Timesheet Line Classifications. In our environment we are not utilizing the Standard Classification but, we are instead using Billable Onsite, Billable Offsite and Nonbillable.
Issue:
If I have created a timesheet, then I am assigned an additional task and try to add the task to my timesheet using a Line Classification other than standard, I get an error pop-up. As long as I add the Standard line classification first, everything
works fine. If I delete and recreate the timesheet it prepopulates the standard tasks which also resolves the issue.
Questions:
1.) Has anyone else ran across this issue and have a fix?
2.) Is anyone aware of a product fix in a CU or Hotfix to resolve this issue?

Dustin - as I understand it Timesheet Line Classifications allow you to
"Duplicate" Timesheet lines for business purposes or accounting reasons. When I first saw this explanation I was at a loss as to the benefit or purpose of this feature, fortunately I work with some smart customers and they soon opened my eyes to the
potential of this feature.
The operative word in the description is "Duplicate". Additional Timesheet line classifications are available but
not in lieu of the Standard Line Classification. As you have experienced if the "Standard" line is added to a Timesheet then an associated Duplicate Line Classification for the same task can be
added to the Timesheet.
To realise your requirement you might just decide what type of work is it you do that is most prevalent and regard that as being "Standard" and then use other line classifications to identify other Billable time - Non Billable Time reporting in a Timesheet
is available by default if it is enabled in Timesheet Settings and Defaults.
As an alternative do your Timesheet compilers decide the classification of the work they are booking time to?
You could consider Task Custom Fields using a lookup table to denote whether work is on-site or off-site with the Calculation for Assignment Rows option set to "Rolldown unless manually specified" - this will associate the task field value with the associated
Assignment. Using Task level fields set by whoever creates the project plan would remove the responsibility for differentiating the work "type" for your Timesheet users.
The querying and reporting of the different classifications of work as recorded in Timesheets would then be possible by virtue of the task field.

Project Server 2013 Workflow Task Permissions Breaking Inheritance and Causing Workflow to Cancel

I have an on-premise instance of Project Server 2013 with a workflow that includes an
Assigned Task to assign users to Approve or Reject a WF phase. The workflow successfully assigns the task and notifies the user of the task. However, after (or possibly just prior) the user Approves the task, the workflow is automatically
cancelled.
By default, the WF Task List is set to inherit permissions. After Approving an item, it appears that the list permissions automatically breaks inheritance, causing the workflow to cancel. This occurs somewhat regularly after resetting permissions to inherit
from the parent site. Although there are stretches where the issue doesn't occur. I'm not sure what's causing the list permissions to change.
This issue occurs in both our Dev and Prod environments. Has anyone experienced this issue with permissions breaking inheritance automatically?

Hi Vic,
According to your description, my understanding is that the workflow was cancled when you created a workflow with Impersonation Step to break inheritance permissions.
After breaking inheritance permissions, make sure the workflow initiator (the creator) still has least edit permission on the list.
In addition, please check the workflow history list to find more information about this issue.

If you get the error when you try to start the execution, I would suggest re-typing the command and make sure all parameters are valid.

I have taken three stages. First stage i have submitted fields it goes to second stage. Now on basis of condition if it fails the condition it should go to stage1.

What you are looking for is a State-Machine Workflow. In SharePoint 2013 Designer, the "Stages" model will allow you to do this. See my example below. However, if you workflow logic is overly complex, Visual Studio might be a better tool to build the
workflow.

Submit button grayed out in Project server 2013 WorkFlow

We published the Workflow in project server'13 through SharePoint desginer 2013 and we used the Microsoft sample workflow. after saving the project information Submit button is in disable mode. So can any body clarify this issue ?
we tried the re provisioned the PWA through the above article but still submit button is in grayed out mode.
Please clarify me where i am wrong?

Open your site in SharePoint Designer
Expand the "Workflows" folder, and the folder containing the workflow you want to fix
Right-click on the file that ends in "xoml.wfconfig.xml"
Choose Open With -> SharePoint Designer (Open as XML)”
Look for the “RulesVersion” attribute
Change its value to “V1.0”
Save the xml file
If you modify the workflow again, you’ll have to change the “RulesVersion” attribute again before saving as an STP as changing the workflow increments this
attribute value which has to be reset to "V1.0".

ADF Web applications give error when parent is set to "orabpel"

Hi all,
i use the application server 10.1.3.1 of the SOA 10.1.3,
i try to deploy an ADF web application that uses the BPEL APIs,
in the server.xml, i set the application parent to 'orabpel',
when i start the application by launching the first jspx page i got the following error
that i found in the 'global-application.log':
07/01/04 08:34:30.750 defaultWebApp: JspServlet: unable to dispatch to
requested page: Exception:java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\product\10.1.3.1
\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\default-web-app\TAFFirstPage-ViewController-context-

i tried to set the application parent to 'default' again and added the bpel apis libs (bpm-services.jar, bpm-infra.jar and orabpel.jar) to the applib folder in j2ee/home and now all the adf web applications deployed to the server give the same error.
i have a normal web application with jsps pages (not jspx) with parent set to orabpel and it's working great.
please i am stuck on this it's been 2 days does anybody have any clue?

Firstly, let’s verify the followings:
Please create a new library at the site, then add three managed columns into it, test again, compare the result.
Whether this issue occurred in other sites with the same site collection.
Please test in another site collection, check if this issue occurs.
In addition, please make sure Managed Metadata web service is started in Mange services on server.
And also make sure the managed metadata service is connected to the web application that you used as CA->Application management->manage web application->your web application->Service Connections.

I already followed the second link given by you and My jdbc driver installed properly first time but the jdbc adapter was not showing in communication channel. Only RFC and SOAP are showing there. In second link com.sap.aii.adapter.lib showing under SAP-XI3RDParty under software Component column but in my system it's not showing there .Software Component column coming blank in my case. So I add additional property Software Component in provider.xml whose value was sa.com/SAP-XI3RDPARTY and deployed it again using JSPM. Now jar deployed in folder sap.com~SAP-XI3RDPARTY~com.dap.adapter.lib/lib rather than com.dap.adapter.lib/lib. So I removed property Software Component and tried to deploy again but now showing the problem

If you use the Include<TSource> Method in the Load method, we will retrieve only the ids of items in this query, so
the listItems.ListItemCollectionPosition will not be initialized.
You can use the <ViewFields> tag in CAML Query to specify the field values to return with each item instead.

Also, after you provisioned PWA, are you able to get to the server settings? Did you do any configurations with PWA or using the defaults?
Are you trying to add the project using the FarmAdmin account or did you add yourself as a resource with project manager role?
