Workflow task  - Function 'SWL_WI_SELECT'

Hi Experts,
When pass a workitem id from a workflow task to the function 'SWL_WI_SELECT' with parameter DO_COMMIT = 'X', I always get the error message 'No administrator found for the task'. Do you know if I am missing anything and how to fix it? Please help!
Thanks and Best regards,
Chuong Le

Hi Chuong
Check out [this thread|"No administrator found for the task" in the front end; to start with and then try refreshing the organisational environment within SO01  (menu Settings->Workflow Settings ->Refresh Organsiational Environment).
If neither is the case then let us kn0ow and we'll try another tack.
Regards
Gareth

  • Workflow task list is missing or damaged. SharePoint 2010

    SharePOint 2010 Enterprise
Customer created workflows for the annual review of our QPC Emergency Plan.
The document library  shows that there is a EP_Review workflow “In Progress” for each section.   However if you click into the “In Progress” link to see the actual progress of the workflow it shows no Visio diagram, it’s just a blank white
space (not even an error message) and under the Tasks section it gives the message:
"The workflow task list is missing or damaged.  Please contact your administrator for more information"
I looked in the Task List and there are no tasks showing, which normally does show when we kick off a workflow.
I ran a report on the EP_Review workflow for Cancellations and Error messages and the system comes back with the following error message:  "Report contains no Data"

    Thanks for any input

    Hi mikeatquestar,
it seems you may need to check if should the task able to create at your environement,
you may try this at your development environment first:
Saved a task list as a template from a working site collection and moved the template to the problem site collection. Used this template to create a new list, and associated this list to the Workflows task list.

  • Workflow Tasks NOT expiring!

    Hi guys,
I've bumped lately with an issue building a workflow on SP2010, as you mostly already have figured out from the title, workflow tasks are NOT expiring.
    I've tried to take this on my own, but no more as I have to move on. Here's the details;
-a custom workflow (attached to a custom list) that has start custom task as its first action.
-due date for custom task is set in "select task process participants", Due Date for Task Process. and is set to run parallel (I have one participant for the task).
-the custom task have only the "behavior of a single task" configured, all task workflow steps are there.
When a Task is Pending fires well, and it ends with Pause for 2 minutes > then send email. then task due date reaches but
When a Task Expires never kicks! tasks simply stays at status "Not Started"
when I check the workflow history, it shows the last log "pausing completed", but I suspect the main issue is with the task processor, task isn't expiring and im not sure where to look.
timer job service is working, I've checked timer jobs (workflow auto cleanup, workflow failover and bulk workflow task processing) and they're all running in timely fashion now.
    any thoughts?
    thanks

  • Workflow task in "In Process"

    Hi all,
I have a workflow task that stayed in the "In Process" state.  The task's method calls a function.  I don't know if the function had an error or what actually happened.  The function makes a call to a third party software(PRISM).  I have the task set to synchronous to wait for a return code. Does anyone know of a way to trouble shoot this.

Yes, if you can reproduce it by calling the same method with the same inputs from transaction SWO1 (testing the BOR object type - or SE24 if it is a class). Then the debugging should reveal most of the information you need.
I assume you are making an RFC call. In your function call you should, if it has not been done already, set up the special exceptions for RFC calls which will enable you to receive a returned error message in case of e.g. communications failure.

  • IDOC related to workflow task

Is there any table or report which gives IDOC nos related to workflow task?

Sreedevi, it depends what you want (where you start from), so please be more specific in your question next time (or if this doesn't answer your question).
If you have a work item number and want to know the IDoc number you can use function module SAP_WAPI_OBJECTS_IN_WORKITEM to get a list of all object references. Then you have to process it from there. You can make a flexible solution which is compatible with future added IDoc types by checking the object type of each object returned and traversing the inheritance hierarchy until you get to object type IDOC. Then you know it is an IDoc, and you can find the IDoc number as the key of the object. Or you can hardcode supported object types using a CASE or IF statement. The flexible solution would be much more fun to program in my opinion.
If you have an IDoc number and want to find work items you have to go the other way. That means starting with object type IDOC, finding all the inherited object types and for each of these using function module SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT. Again, another possibility is to hardcode the list of object types you want to check.
The table Rose told you about, HRS1201, contains no IDoc numbers, but it contains all the tasks with the methods they use. So actually you can use that to find all the object types you need to check (whether they are inherited from IDOC), since all work items will refer to a task definition.

  • Workflow Agent Function Module

I am trying to develop a workflow for the approval of CATS time entries. Users will enter their time data and specify a receiving maintenance work order (CATSD-RAUFNR). The approver of the CATS time entry should be the user ID identified in the Partner tab of the maintenance work order identified in the CATS record.
I am trying to determine the agent in a workflow task based on a default rule for agent assignment. My idea was to capture the work order number (stored in table AUFK) from the CATS entry, then reference plant maintenance partners table (IHPA) to get the user id to use as the agent in the workflow.
I have developed a function module that works when testing it in the function builder, but when I try to test it in the "Maintain Rule" transaction (PFAC_CHG), it does not work. Can anyone let me know how to make this code work in the Maintain Rule simulation?
Here is my code for the function module:
    FUNCTION Z_GET_WO_PARTNER.
    ""Local Interface:
    *"  IMPORTING
    *"     VALUE(ORDER_NUMBER) TYPE  AUFNR OPTIONAL
    *"  TABLES

            END OF PLANT_MAINT.
    TYPES:  BEGIN OF ORDER_MASTER,

SELECT SINGLE AUFNR OBJNR FROM AUFK INTO WA_ORDER
         WHERE AUFNR = ORDER_NUMBER.
    IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
        RAISE nobody_found.
    ENDIF.
    OBJN = WA_ORDER-OBJECTN.
*get Partner field (system user id) from Plant Maintenance: Partners table
SELECT SINGLE OBJNR PARVW PARNR FROM IHPA INTO WA_MAINT
WHERE OBJNR = OBJN AND PARVW = '§G'.
    IF SY-SUBRC NE 0.
        RAISE nobody_found.
        ELSE.
            ACTOR_TAB-OTYPE  =  'US'.
            ACTOR_TAB-OBJID  =  WA_MAINT-PARTNER.
            APPEND ACTOR_TAB.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFUNCTION.
(sorry about the poor ABAP code...)

To my guess, the function module interface is incorrect. The function module should contain only the following interface:
    ""Local Interface:
    *"  TABLES
    *"      ACTOR_TAB STRUCTURE  SWHACTOR
    *"      AC_CONTAINER STRUCTURE  SWCONT
    *"  EXCEPTIONS
    *"      NOAGENT_FOUND
You seem to be passing an order number. you need pass container elements using the table AC_Container and cannot send it directly. For further information, look at the following tutorial:
    http://www.****************/Tutorials/Workflow/Rules/Create.htm
    Hope this helps

  • 10.1.2. to 10.1.3 Human workflow task migration issue

    Hi all,
I am currently looking at the possibility to migrate our 10.1.2 bpel processes, containing human workflow task, to 10.1.3.1.0 Everything seems to migrate smoothly except the human workflow functionality.
The initateTask invoke action returns the following error in the 10.1.3.1 console when I ran an 10.1.2. bpel process containing a human workflow task:
    [2006/12/04 03:01:00]
    "{http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension}remoteFault" has been thrown.

Make sure wsdl is valid. You may need to start the OraBPEL server, or make sure the related bpel process is deployed correctly.
    </summary>
    </part>
    </remoteFault>
I know that in 10.1.3 the human workflow mechanism is heavily changed and now is invoked by using other services (TaskService) than the services used (TaskActionHandler process)in 10.1.2. In 10.1.2 the TaskActionHandler was a separate build-in bpel process used for interaction between a bpel process and the human workflow. This process is not present in the 10.1.3.1 installation, so that is causing my error. Moreover, in 10.1.3 the interaction between a bpel process is and the human workflow is not done by invoking a separate bpel process (TaskActionHandler) but by invoking a java wsif service TaskService..(Correct me when I'm wrong or not complete)
My question now is how can I migrate my 10.1.2 human workflow task to 10.1.3.1 without manually rewrite the task scopes to 10.1.3...According to the fragment below copied from the JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 help files it should be possible. Maybe, there's is a way to deploy the needed processes manually?
Oracle BPEL Process Manager Workflow Services 10.1.2 and 10.1.3.1.0 Compatibility
For release 10.1.3.1.0, the workflow wizard has been replaced by a Human Task editor. This editor enables you to specify task settings such as task outcome, payload structure, task participants, assignment and routing policy, expiration and escalation policy, notification settings, and so on. You cannot use the Human Task editor to edit 10.1.2-based workflows. To use any new 10.1.3.1.0 functionality, the task scope of the workflow must be manually migrated to use the new workflow metadata. Note also that this is the last release in which you can deploy workflows designed with 10.1.2.
    Kind regards,
    Tom Hofte

    Hi Clemens,
Thanks for your quick response. The Taskmanager and the Taskactionhandler are indeed not deployed so I will do that automatically.
    Still one question/remark left:
You noticed that you still have to complete the tasks using the old worklist app. . So if i'm correct, you have to use the deprecated 10.1.2 worklist api or build-in worklist app. The 10.1.2 worklist app is not deployed in my 10.1.3 installation. However, 10.1.3 only contains the new worklist app. Is there also a way to deploy it manually?
Writing this down it al looks a bit clumsy to me. Is it not a better option to invest some time in migrating all tasks scopes manually to 10.1.3, because as far as I can see the human tasks are causing the main issues concerning migration? After this you have a 10.1.3 compliant system. I wonder what your opinion is on this issue.
    Kind regards,
    Tom

  • Call enhancement class method from Bus. workflow task

    Hi all,
I recently enhanced a global class from SAP (add a new method). Now I would like to call it from a workflow task (ABAP Class object used in the task). So it seems that only "native" methods from the class itself can be selected for the object method of the task.
Same issue if I try to call it via secondary methods options...
Last idea I have before the repair is: retrieve the instance saved into the WF container via a custom class interfacing IF_IFS_SWF_CONTAINER_EXIT (program exit) and call the enhanced method from the method proposed in this interface.
Maybe someone had the same issue? Anyone could help or propose solution?
Many thanks in advance for your help,
    KR,
    Olivier

I think it might qualify for an OSS message.
There was simmilar note for BADIs which was corrected: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1156392
CL_SWF_UTL_DEF_SERVICES which is used in PFTC to determine callable methods doesn't include enhancements when calling  function SEO_CLASS_TYPEINFO_GET (parameter WITH_ENHANCEMENTS is default FALSE)

  • Access control in workflow tasks

I want to filter which users should have access to a certain workflow task. If looking in the help file there should be some way to filter the users which should be granted access. But this functionality seems to be switched off. Can anybody tell me why and if there is another way to filter the users?
In the "behalf of" section the filter option is still available...
    Kind regards
    Jörn Kaplan

    Hi Jörn,
please check your Identity Store configuration on the tab "Workflow" if "use simplified access control" is disabled (By default this is enabled)
Once this is disabled you should get in the access control settings of your workflow task also the option "Allow access for: " - "Filter"

    Hi there
I am asked to check one system with a “workflow” running 2+ years. It is actually an task with method which sends an e-mail when Purchase requisition is created.

There are several things you can check before starting to check the code/solution.
I would start by sending an e-mail from SAP Business Workplace - either to someone who say he/she receives e-mail only once a month, or to yourself if that is not possible. Check how long it takes from the mail is sent until it is received. Once the first mail has been received, send another mail and check the time again (to determine the sendmail process' interval). Of course you can probably just check the configuration of send processes ... but you may as well give them some hard proof.
Secondly, check the send log (transaction SOST) - and find out how often there are the type of messages you are interested in. Alternatively, test the workflow and verify that messages are sent immediately.

  • Collect Signatures workflow using Firefox not showing Workflow task "This document requires your signatures" Open this task...

    Hi!
I am assuming FireFox does not support the Collect Signatures workflow in SharePoint 2010.
We are testing things now, and if the Outlook link is opened via IE, the workflow task shows up when the Word 2010 document opens for signing...and I can sign the document.
If we open the hyperlink in Firefox, I go through the initial prompts and get to a stopping point where I cannot sign the document and the message states:
"Signatures can't be added or removed because this document was opened as read-only".
It looks as if we have to tell our users to use IE since there is ActiveX involvement in this entire collect signatures process.
    Please advise...thank you!

    Hi!
Yes, I did see this under the ActiveX Controls area (3/4 down the page) from the same link you mention above:
Connect to Outlook, Connect to Office, and Sync to SharePoint Workspace >> Works with an ActiveX control and the stssync:// protocol. Therefore, functionality may be limited without
an ActiveX control, such as the one that is included in Microsoft Office 2010. The feature also requires an application that is compatible with the stssync:// protocol, such as Microsoft Outlook.
...which I'm assuming is the whole ActiveX control issue...and hence the Firefox problem.
    Thank you!

  • Calling workflow tasks in program

    Hi,
I want to know how to call a workflow task in a ABAP program. This task is linked to a customised method.
    Thanks
    Ananth

    Hi Ananth
You have two options to trigger a workflow task
1> Attach a Business object and a particualr event in the
       triggering event of your task.
Then in your ABAP pgm use FM SWE_EVENT_CREATE to raise
the event for the Business object and the event which
you attach in the task as trigerring event
2> Else , you can make use of SWW_WI_START function module and pass pass parameter ( it will be the name of your workflow task , The workitem Type , creator etc .)
    Thanks

  • Univeral Worklis - XML Content Configuration for workflow tasks

I work in an HR and SAP Portal project in Stockholm, Sweden. We have now activated the course booking functionality in the "Training and Event" module. The basic functionality is that course bookings etc. should be approved by managers using workflows. Therefore must be the Universal worklist be configured. I have also read the guide "How To…Configure the Univeral Worklist" but I still need some guidance on how to do that.
These workflows are used in the process:
    ·     WS01200147 (Employee Attendance Cancellation)
    ·     WS01200151 (Approve Employee's Attendance Booking)
    ·     WS01200160 (Approve Employee's Rebooking)
I should appreciate if you could help me to create a correct XML-file to include above workflows/tasks in the universal worklist.
    Best regards,
    Jan Wodlin

The have used the following documentation to configure my UWL.

  • How to delete ad hoc workflow tasks in UWL centrally?

    Hi,
While we were testing UWL function of Enterprise Portal in Netweaver 7.0, number of users created ad hoc workflow tasks in UWL.  We have recently decided to use Universal Worklist for Inbox-based workflow only (WebFlowConnector) and not to use it for ad hoc workflow (AdHocWorkflowConnector).
Instead of asking all users to go in to UWL and delete all their ad hoc workflow tasks, I (as a System Administrator) like to delete all ad hoc workflow tasks myself, centrally.  Is this possible?  Does anyone know how to delete all ad hoc workflow tasks centrally?
    Thank you.
    Joon,

    Hi Joon,
I think it will be really difficult to achieve what you want as each task is related to a particular user.
I am not sure @ a Sysadmin can accessing other users' tasks.
You can try looking for some way by using UWL apis.
I think you can get all your user's adhoc tasks in an ItemCollection object by using append method of Itemcollection Interface and then see that deleting this object may achieve give u desired reults.
Also try having a look at the IUWLItemManager interface.
You will find these interfaces in com.sap.netweaver.bc.uwl
    See [here|https://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/current/uw/index.html]
    I hope it helps.

  • Filtering Workflow tasks

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in I have to filter the line items displayed in the 'Workflow Tasks' section of the Worklist workcenter. I tried doing that from the UI in the component GS_WFI/WFIResultList-> Do_Prepare_Output. But I get a wierd kind of error that comes intermittently. Now I am trying to do that using a BAdI. Can anyone please provide pointers on which BAdI/method can be used to get this done. One which i could find was 'CRM_IC_INBOX_BADI', but only 2 methods of the interface are triggered and they do not have any any relevant data. Please provide pointers on how to achieve this functionality.
    Regards,
    Radhika

    Hi Radhika,
If you see the report program that is executing behind that transaction is "RSWWWIDE", you can open that report progam and debug it, you will find the code to delete the work items. You can use that code to delete workitems after checking condition in your code. I hope i am able to explain.
