Workflow to color Subversion checkouts - encountering a few problems!

I've been trying to write a simple workflow that will find all my local Subversion checkout folders (easy - each one has the directory ".svn" in it) and "label" them with a particular color. However, I've encountered two problems:
1. The regular Finder workflow items can't find files or directories prefixed with a "." (i.e. hidden files).
2. If I use the Shell Script workflow, it outputs any results as text and therefore Finder doesn't recognise them as "Finder Items".
Is there another way I can achieve this?

That's because lists are suppose to be enclosed by { curly, braces } . That's also compatible with AppleScript's way of doing lists, but it's usually referred to as records, I think.
If you check the results of an action itself (button at bottom of action) that returns lists, e.g. *Get Specified Finder Items*, you'll see what a list looks like, as well as other outputs. There's also some buttons in the result part of the action itself that'll switch the view to icon, list, and text so you can see how the results are being interpreted (e.g. are files being found so an icon is shown?).
