Workflow to pull down bwf audio?

Hi. Film student in Austin here. I'll be cutting a 23.98HD project--originally shot on 16mm--but telecined to 23.98HD for eventual 23.98 HD output. The audio was recorded as 48k bwf files.
So, the 24p film, having been transferred to 23.98HD, has been slowed down by the 0.001 even though there's still a one-to-one frame correspondence, right? (As opposed to the slowdown plus all those extra fields if the 24p film had been transferred to 29.97 video, but either way the video has changed speeds now and the audio has not, so I need to make them match again before syncing and editing.)
What is the workflow for pulling down bwf files by that 0.001? It's probably something simple, but we're so used to DAT workflows round here that I can't seem to find anyone who knows. Is everyone just doing it by changing the clip speed in FCP? That seems imprecise and likely to introduce artifacts. I've also thought I could bring the bwf into audio editing software such as Logic or ProTools, pull it down, then bounce it out and import the newly-created aiff into FCP to sync and cut, but that's not only tedious, but would also cause me to lose the metadata. There may be a hardware solution out there, but again, I'll lose metadata if i can't keep those original bwfs. What is the established workflow for this?
Also, if I'm able to get to the sound recordist next time before the shoot, I can ask him/her to oversample to 48.048, but then what? Will it come into FCP's 48K timeline and adjust itself automatically? Or will I still need to pull that down somehow too?

Back to the first question... can you output/export a pulled down mix in SP? It works fine playing the mix in the timeline, but it reverts backs to its original speed when exported! 'tis driving me crazy!!!

Pull down audio???

I have a sound clip that needs to be conformed to video, the sound is to short and if i pull down 4.1% it is fine but how do I output the file so it keeps this pulldown?

I am a new user of i-tunes. Installed the software, upon opening I have no background, just text is written to my desktop. Pull down menus do not disappear.

hmmm. the last time i saw something like that reported here, it turned out that the copy of DirectX on the PC was out of date. there's a link through to the DirectX download page on this document (although it's about sound issues rather than video issues):

[Solved] When I open multiple Firefox windows an orange pull down tab appears and I cannot exit from any single window. I have to exit all of the Firefox windows to close one.

I like to open several Firefox windows when I am browsing the internet. Since mi reinstall of windows XP with sp3 I installed Firefox 5.0.1. Now when I open multiple windows they kind of window in a window and I get this orange pull down menu. I can no longer close any one single window. I click the lower of the two top right X's to close the window and all the tabs in that window, but nothing happens. I also don't like the look and feel of the orange pull down menu

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

How can I display only the Data Logging pull down menu on my LV front panel?

Is it possible to hide all unused pull down menu on my front panel vi like File, Edit, View etc.. and only

You can build your own runtime menu (Edit>runtime menu) and then e.g. only display the application items you want to.

Firefox 3.6 had a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks Pull down menu. How can I "Bookmark All Tabs" using Firefox 4.0.1

I recently updated to Firefox 4.0.1 from Firefox 3.6. Firefox 3.6 had a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Bookmarks pull down menu. There isn't a "Bookmark All Tabs" in the Firefox 4.0.1 Bookmarks pull down menu. Has this feature been eliminated from Firefox 4.0.1? If I want to save 24 tabs in one window of Firefox and 14 tabs in another window of Firefox, do I have to save all the tabs individually? How can I set the options, preferences, etc. so that I can "Bookmark All Tabs" at once in a window of Firefox 4.0.1. I am running Firefox 4.0.1 on a desktop computer with Windows7 Professional OS with Firefox as my default browser.

Right click a tab and you will get the option to bookmark all tabs. Or use keyboard '''Alt + B''' which opens the old style menu. You can make changes to Firefox, as explained in this post: [/questions/799856#answer-155765]

Is there a way to remove the notification center pull down?

My autistic son is obsessed with the notification center pull down, and can't focus on any apps. This has rendered the iPad useless for him!This has basically rendered the iPad useless for his educational purposes, and even his ability to concentrate on his favorite games. I realize this is a pretty unique issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a problem for at least a couple of other autistic kiddos out there? But even if my son is tho only kid wit this problem, I'm sure there must be other users out there who hate the fact that this pull down does not appear to be optional...
If anyone out there has found a way to turn this "feature" off, PLEASE pass some instructions my way! Thank you!

I found this workaround on Chris Calabreese's blog. First the setup:
Go to the Settings app. Select General, then Accessibility.
Scroll down to the very bottom and tap the Accessibility Shortcut option.
Tap the AssistiveTouch option so there is a check mark next to it. This should be the only option with a check mark; if not, un-check the other options.
Once that’s done, here’s how to disable the Notification and Command Centers. This can be done from the home screen or within any app:
Click the Home button three times in quick succession. A black square with a white dot will appear on the screen. Tap it once.
A menu with several options will open. Tap the Home option three times in quick succession. The menu will disappear.
Your Notification and Command Centers should now be disabled. Try swiping down from the top of the screen and swiping up from the bottom to verify.
NOTE: I’ve discovered this method has one undesirable side effect. When Notification Center has been successfully disabled, your device will no longer sleep automatically. Your device’s battery will drain quickly if you’re not aware of this. If you want to disable Notification Center on a long-term basis, you will need to remember to manually put your device to sleep when you’re not using it by hitting the Sleep/Wake button. This effect is only temporary; if you re-enable the Notification Center (as outlined below), the device will sleep automatically once again. Because of this, I would recommend disabling Notification Center only when you really need to (when playing a game, for example), then re-enable it when you’re finished.
If you wish to enable them again, here’s how:
Click the Home button three times in quick succession. The black square with a white dot will appear; this time ignore it.
Click the Home button again three times in quick succession. The black square with a white dot will disappear and your Notification and Command Centers should be working again.

I can't use my account pull-downs in E-trade with Firefox 4. Need a fix at Firefox??

After loading newest Firefox 4.0, I logged into my E-trade brokerage account and tried to use a pull down menu to look at a portfolio, but the menu doesn't respond. I opened an Internet Explorer browser and opened E-trade and everything worked.
Seems like the new version of Firefox either has glitch or my PC needs to be modified for cookies?? or cache issues.
Could some one look at this and get back to me. Very annoying not to be able to use 4.0 for my investments!

What your looking for is written out step by step for drop downs and all other special types of user input starting around page 96 in the '09 manual.

I can no longer see my pointer and pull down windows pop up on everything!!! HELP

I can no longer see my pointer and when I go to say "applications" a pop up or pull down menu open up...a tiny noe with words. Before a window with icons would open up and I liked that. Its also happening with the internet. instead of having apointer I see nothing and a pull down menu appears. I can't shoose anything because there is no pointer. What setting is this and how do I change it back? I want a normal pointer where I click on link and they open new links then I can type where I click too.

dunno....could be a gamble...you might have Simple Finder turned on, or accessibilty (for those with vision problems, etc). I think pressing Command+Shift+F8 (that's fn+f8 key) ought to turn it off. If you're really stuck
command+Shift+3 or command+Shift+4 will let you take a screenshot of your desktop which you might be able to post here. Also, check your views setting (Command+J key) which will let you display icons and stuff)

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

No pull down for notification center since updating to iOS 5.0.1

I recently (Nov 11, 2011) updated my iPhone 4 (model MC605B) to iOS 5.0.1 and no longer have a pull-down for the notification center. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix? I updated my iPad (original model) without any problems. The pull-down works perfectly on my iPad.

I would like to restrict the items shown in the pull-down list of Actions in Quote Overview Screen in Oracle Quoting (HTML)
The list is defined as part of Quick Codes (Lookup_type = ASO_QUOTE_ACTION). Per my understanding, it should show up all the lookup values enabled in ASO_QUOTE_ACTION. But I see only a few of those enabled in the action drop-down list in Overview Screen.
I appreciate if any one can provide any clue where they are restricted.
To access ASO_QUOTE_ACTION Loookup code, here is the navigation path.
® Quoting Sales Manager → (N) Setup → Quick Codes and query for ASO_QUOTE_ACTION.
