Workflow Triggering unlimited times

Hi All,
I am having a very WEIRD problem. A workflow starts correctly then it errors, but then the workflow restarts every 30 seconds and keeps going and going and there are 100's of the same instance in SWI1. I have tried deleting all workflows but still it keeps happening.
I have tried everything that I know to no avail.
Any ideas?

Mentioning the following points assuming you are in DEV system.
1. Till the time you find why the WF is going into error, what you can do to stop the WF is change the setting of event linkage receiver ( txn SWETYPV ) Behavior Upon Error Feedback as Deactivation of linkage or Mark linkage as having errors.
2. After analysis, and correcting the error so that WF triggeres correctly , restore the settings for evt linkage also.

PRs workflow triggered only the first time

Hi all,
do you know a way to trigger a workflow for Purchase Reqs only when the first agent (requisitioner) releases it and not at every step? I'm managing all the release strategy inside a custom workflow and the cancel release as well.
I'm using BUS2105.eventstepcreated as start event but it is triggered in each step (as the name suggests ) and also for a cancel release.

Hi Angelo.
Sorry if I have different perspective.
You can enhance the standard workflow for PR (single release and collective release). This workflow triggers for each PR created.
And instead of you manage release strategy inside your workflow, you can maintain release strategy (release group and release code) inside the MM configuration by assign to specific object type. This approach will capture agent assignment from the configuration and calculate the release strategy (include the classification) as well

Workflow triggering problems

Hi all,
I have a puchase order release workflow ,and have activated the triggering in tcode pftc,but the problem is ,every time I create a purchase order the workflow triggering gets deactivated and have to manually activate it after each Purchase Order creation or change.
Does anyone have a clue as to what may cause this problem?

I tried changing the method but it still throws the same error. i dont think this error is related to the Task method , since it can also be a dummy method (as is the case with the leave approval workflow 12300111) .
Any other helpful suggestions ??

Mail send issue - Workflow Triggered from Error Message

i am learning workflow and doing some practical sessions using tutorials found on the internet. I have successfully enabled a workflow triggering options from the error message. The workflow will simply send an email and there is nothing else in that workflow definition. When i get the error message i open up the error message window and trigger the workflow option which is enabled. I get a message that the workflow has been started but i dont get the email immediately. I see the emails only after a long time. Infact the emails sent yesterday is only visible today.
i checked in SOST and i dont see the messages at all. If its available in SOST then the system would have picked up and send to the inbox. But i dont see the mails queued in SOST. But if i wait for a day i can see the emails in my inbox. Any idea what is wrong.

Coming to your problem,

RSCONN01 is the program that sends email out of SAP, make sure this scheduled to run frequently otherwise you can manually run this from SE/SA38.

When you run SOST make sure you tick all the checkboxes - Waiting, Errors, Sent and Transmitted. If you are on ECC, then these are available on the Send Status tab...

Workflow triggered twice !

Hi Guys,
My Workflow has been triggered 2 times.
It has two starting events.
BUS2081 - BLOCKEDPRICE
BUS2081 - BOLCKEDQUANT
When the Invoice has been saved, sometimes both the events are triggered so the workflow.
Is there any way I can limit this to one time, eventhough when 2 events triggered.

I believe the problem is that there are events A and B and he wants the wf triggered when A or B, but not twice.
You could build a check into the workflow to see if there is aother workflow running with the same key, but maybe someone can think of a more elegant solution.

Sharepoint Designer workflow takes long time for execution of action

Hi All ,
I have created declarative workflow using SharePoint designer 2010.which is getting executed successfully,But taking lot of time for execution.
Below are details of it
workflow contains only one activity "assign Task to User" and workflow will start automatically after uploading document.
workflow takes 10 minutes to create task for user , 10 minutes to claim task and 10 minutes to execute if any action(Approve or Reject) is taken on task.
no error in log file or event log related to workflow.
options tried:
1.I have tried options suggested in article(http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/251828/How-to-Improve-Workflow-Performance-in-SharePoint#_rating ),but no luck
2. Reduced the interval of worflow timer job to 1 from 5 .still no luck
Any thoughts regarding this would be appreciated.

Approval workflow triggers when not expected for SRM PO & without Agent ??

We are using SRM 5.0 integrated with SAP MM backends.
We are frequently facing this problem, when a buyer creates a PO (in SRM) within his/ her Spending (Output) Limit, the PO approval workflow triggers and is not able to find an agent.
Although the workflow should not trigger as the PO value is below spend limit of the buyer......we are not able to understand this behaviour.
In such cases, the buyer is not able to issue the POs, since the POs show 'Awaiting Approval' status.
I can find such POs with SRM transaction SWI2_ADM1, but I can not do anything beyond that. I am not able to Forward or 'Complete Manually' such work-items.
Any idea how this problem can be fixed or if there is any SAP note available for same.......anything??
Has anyone faced this kind of problem before?? Please help.

please check from the workflow log , the workflow which the system is starting.
might be the system is able to start another workflow than the one which you are mentioning
use the transaction swi6 for workflow log , use the purchase order guid

Hi Ruchika,
This seems to be a problem with the start condition of the PO approval workflow. Check for the same and see if there is any issue.

Duplicate workflows triggered

Hi all,
we are using Function module SWE_EVENT_CREATE to trigger workflow for MM invoice.
Business object used - BUS2081 and event used to trigger workflow is BLOCKEDQUANT.
yesterday there are 2 workflows triggered for each invoice using this FM.
Can anyone help me why 2 workflows triggered.

Get to know when the event BLOCKEDQUANT would be triggered, I guess this event would be triggered always when there is price change in Invoice with a item blocked due to quantity change, If so use check function module in event to workflow binding to avoid duplicacy in such cases.

Hi,
The 'event' which mapped to workflow triggered twice or another event may added to the workflow
1) Did you give additional event for the workflow in the Basic Data -> Start events, if yes remove that event and test it.
2) If 'No', In the SPRO configurations some settings might have changed, Check with your Function Consultant ask any changes they done in the SPRO settings related to the T.code cj21n.

Essbase clear script is triggered 32 times from FDM

Hi All,
I've created a simple clear script in the load action of the Essbase adapter in FDM.
When loading a short file the clear script runs very fast and no problems occurs.
When loading a long file (multiload 12 periods, 10.000 rows) the validation alone takes already 4 minutes. But the problem is that the clear script is triggered 32 times.
Every time exactly the same script (so it only cleares data the first time) but every time takes a few seconds..
Anybody a clue why this is happening and how i can solve this?
I'm thinking of triggering the clear script from an event script but not sure which one.

This is by design. As the FDM Essbase Adapter requires customizations to mirror/match the Essbase Application.
Importantly is the clear scripts that it executes.
Without the appropriate changes to the adapter, it will appear* to execute the same script multiple times. But when in-fact if the customizations were done correctly, you would see slight differences each time.
By default, it will clear based on the combinations of Period and Entity.
So if your file had 12 periods, and 3 unique Entities, it would do 36 clear statements.
I would suggest you review your customization for accuracy.

Workflow triggers unwantedly

we are a strange issue in EC incoming Invoice workflow in SRM, descriptiojn is as follows
we have two workflow in our system for invoice one goes through approval and other auto approval , and on the SRM portal at header level in the basic data we have added two custom fields allow NON-PO invoice and Allow RE ,and implemented the doc_check_badi , now at the line item level if we do not give any PO refernce and check/post then we get an error message saying the entrer PO and the status of the invoice to " to be corrected manually" ideally in the above case approval workflow should not trigger , it sould only trigger when we tick the allow Non-po invoice check button , and it was working fine , but suddenly after patch upgrade the approval workflow triggers even if we do not tick the chck box at header level . Can anyone suggest did any thing go wrong in patch upgrade , I have checked all the conditions and linkages all are fine, but i guess some standard setting is missing which would have gone missing .

Process Chain Triggers Multiple times

Hi All,
I have Meta process chain say ZAAA which has multiple Local Chains example ZBBB , ZCCC and ZDDD. .This Local chain ZCCC trigger multiple times of in one day . we had a issues today with deactivation of Transformations and DTP in different levels because of that Local Process chain ZCCC is failed along with other process chains . when I reach to ZCCC started by repeat or repair ,before Local Chain ZCCC finished whole process ,ZCCC triggers second time .
Now first times triggered process chain ZCCC is in yellow , and second time triggered process chain ZCCC gone through all the way to gree , and Meta chain showes red.
what I have do make Meta chain green.

one of the sub pc still yellow first time trigger and went to red and second time trigger whole process is green. all Sub PC are green
For the sub pc mentioned above, you trigger it all over again? Or you repeat/repair the step failed?
If you trigger it the second times all over again it is a new run and the first run remain fail,ed so the meta chain will never get green, if you want to make the meta chain green, you need to repeat/repair the step failed in first run.

IPhone : webViewDidFinishLoad being triggered multiple times

In my app I have a web viewer and in my code I do a 'loadRequest' to populate it. I'm trying to determine when the page finishes loading using the 'webViewDidFinishLoad' delegate. For most pages like yahoo, or google, the delegate is only called once when the load is finished. For abcnew.com, the delegate gets triggered 3 times. I do a NSLog() every time my delegate code is entered, so I'm just counting my log entries from the console window.
I'm wondering why 'webViewDidFinishLoad' is getting called 3 times for abcnews.com but only once for most other sites I try.

It probably does. I was just trying different pages to see what would happen. That is when I noticed abc.com triggers the delegate three times, yet google.com and yahoo.com only once. I guess I'll have to do some more research to better understand what webViewDidFinishLoad is really doing.

Process triggering wrong time ( Urgent ! )

We created a process and we want to trigger it when a button process.
Process Name : PROCESS_CREATE_ORDER
Button Name : P_CREATE_ORDER
In Conditional Processing part of PROCESS_CREATE_ORDER
When Button Pressed (Process After Submit When this Button is Pressed) attiribute set P_CREATE_ORDER button.
But process is triggering every time page submitted.
So it cause errors.
we are using HTMLDB 1.6 version.

Just taking a quick look at one of my pages, I have many pages that do similar things, where I have a button to perform a process, but a conditional process (depends on which button is preesed).
On the process page, I also specify under the "Conditional Computations", the "Condition Type" - "Request = Expression1", and then then under the "Expression1" field, I specify the button name (in your case it would be "P_CREATE_ORDER" (no quotes).
Right off hand, that's about all I can think of, other than trying to create another process that does nothing. It seems like your process is not conditional to be executing every time the page is submitted.
