  • Missing workflow types in CUP

    Hi Experts,
I am missing the workflow types. That is the workflow type CUP , mitigation control etc is not visible. Even the workflow type column is missing in request type. I have already imported the inital files
    AE_init_clean_and_insert_data.xml
    AE_init_append_data.xml
    and AE_init_append_data_CC.xml
I guess it has something to do with one of these files not being uploaded correctly. how can I be sure?
    Thanks,
    Chinmaya

    Hi,
Go to configuration -> miscellaneous and see if you can see all the workflow types. If you can not then upload the files again.
If you do see the workflow types then activate them but clicking on the active checkbox in the right most column and save the settings.

  • RE workflow type is not showing up in the Request type list in AE

    Hi,
I had appended the AE_init_append_data_RE.xml file in the Configuration->Initial System Data.
Even after appending this file , the RE workflow type is not showing up in the AE Request type list.
    Please guide me.

    Hi All,
Thanks for ur inputs. It is working now. I could see all the workflow types after appending the two files
    1. AE_init_ append_data_RE.xml
    2. AE_init_ append_data_CC.xml
    I have created
    1.  Initator with workflow type RE using Request type and priority -RE_HIGH as attributes
    2. CAD by giving webservice URL.
    3. Configured workflow with one stage.
Now, if I process a request in RE  I am getting an error "ERROR IN CREATING REQUEST". What may be the problem..? I am happy to receive your suggestions.
    Thanks

  • In CUP create Initiator.... Workflow Type etc

    Hi there,
In Create Initiator Workflow, Can anyone please let me know what is the difference between different types like ERM, CUP etc etc. We are implimenting RAR, CUP,RE and SPM. Is there any defalut settings there.
What is the reason behind each, any document or sap help link will be apprecited please.
    Best Regards:
    Priya

    Priya,
every workflow type selection will lead to different attributes being available.
Have a look at this guide for examples - you can see how a risk change workflow has totally different attributes from a CUP workflow:

  • CUP - How to de-activate the workflow types - SP10

    Hi forum gurus,
I am currently customizing a brand new installation of AC 5.3, SP10.
We have activated all the workflow types under the Miscellaneous tab by mistake, which has now resulted in several
    unused request types.
I have tried to de-activate the workflow types but get the following error, Cannot deactivate since the field is in use in Request Type.  The system does not even allow you to delete the request types only to de-activate it.
Is there any way to deactivate these workflow types so that they do not appear?
    Thanks,
    Prevo.

    Hi Alpesh,
NO requests have been created thus far! Its a brand new implementation.
I don't want non-used initiators and request types to be displayed from within
the CUP configuration tab, hence my request.

  • Unable to save workflow types and create workflow stage  in CUP

    Hi Guru's,
We are currently installling GRC AC 5.3 and are stuck in configuration.
we are unable to create workflow stage in CUP. Whenever we try to open the tab for stage it gives below mentioned error.

    Hi Akshay,
It seems you have uploaded some wrong file .
I would suggest you to delete those entries from table.
please check for the  duplicate entry in u r workflow type under miscellaneous tab in CUP.
for example if you find duplicate entry for work flow type  RE that is ERM ,   And the Work flow type ERM gives you error while saving request type .then please look for the table VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE   in file AE_init_append_data_RE.xml   and follow the below  mentioned  steps:
    1. log in  to SQL with SYSDBA access delete the duplicate entry.
2.use  below command to find the
    SQL> select * from SAPSR3DB.VIRSA_AE_WFTYPE where NAME='ERM'
    3. delete this Row form the table.
    4. restart AS java
After deleting this  duplicate entry your issue should get resolved.
please let em know if your issue is resolved

  • Workflow Type "RE" Missing

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a Workflow for the role approval.
I am not finding the Workflow type "RE" in the dropdown list under create initiator section
Please help me what are the configuration settings which are required for getting this workflow type "RE".
    Regards,
    Kumar

    Kumar,
Please follow the steps below to see workflow type "RE" in CUP:
    1) Upload/import .xml file received with ERM (RE) installation into CUP (AE). This file is called AE_init_append_data_RE.xml. Make sure to upload this file into initial data of CUP.
    2) Once this file is uploaded, go to miscellaneous section of CUP and you should be able to see workflow type RE. Now, make sure to activate this workflow by checking the box on the right and saving it.
Now, you will see workflow type 'RE' in CUP.

    Hello guys,
I'm currently using SharePoint Designer 2013 and I've just activated the Workflow Manager, but we I want to create a new workflow I can choose the platform, but I can't choose the workflow type? It is highlighted in grey. Do I have activate a feature? I
also can't choose the start options. It won't open if I click on start options.
    Best regards
    Matthias

you can only choose the workflow type for NEW workflows. There is no way to migrate/convert a SPD2010 workflow into a SP2013 workflow

  • Difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow

    Hello guys,
Is there any difference between SAP Business Workflow and CRM Workflow?
Are there others workflows types in SAP?
In all SAP Workflow Courses (BIT600, BIT601, BIT603, BIT610) only was talked about SAP Business Workflow, and nothing about CRM Workflow.
    Thanks a lot!
    Kleber

    Hello Kleber,
There is not much of the differance between CRM workflows and SAP Business  workflows..
Workflows are esentially part of Basis (BC) components and hence its the same across all SAP products as all these products have components of Basis(BC) in them...
To Conclude, SAP Busines workflows and CRM workflows are the same things... However when you work on CRM, the BOR objects would be belonging to CRM and not to ECC... However conceptwise , there in no change at all.. If you learn BIT100......, you can also work on CRM workflows..

  • Workflow Start automatically for particular item of list

    Hi,
I have created workflow using visual studio for custom list. My workflow type is manually start not start on Item create and change.
I want to start workflow only when the start date of the custom list is same date of today. for this which steps I need to follow that run workflow in background and start workflow for particular item whose start date is satisfied with today's date?

    Hello,
You need to create event receiver on (i.e. ItemAdded and ItemUpdated)that list to start WF via code when condition is satisfied. I had similar requirement in past and this is what i did.
You may refer below link to see sample code:

  • How to separate notification worklist based on Item type by Responsibility

    Hi,
I have few custom workflows which puts the notification to the Universal Workflow worklist in Oracle apps R12.
This worklist includes the custom workflow as well as the standard workflows.
Is there anyway we could separate the notifications worklists based on the responsibility and the workflow type?
So for example if the user selects the custom responsibility, and clicks on the notification search option, he will see only the custom workflow notifications.
    Gurus Please advise.
    Regards.

That functionality is not provided so far. I am not sure if we can achieve that using customization also.

  • ERM - Workflow Approval Configuration in ERM and CUP

    Hi Experts,
I'm in the midst of configuring the workflow approval for ERM and have some queries.
I followed the post-installation guide part 1 for ERM on the workflow configuration and have sucessfully done the following:
    1. Verified that the "AE_init_append_data_RE.xml" has been uploaded in CUP with Append option
    2. Verified that request type "RE_ROLE_APPROVAL" with workflow type "RE" exists
    3. Verified that priority "RE_HIGH" with workflow type "RE" exists
    4. Created a workflow initiator for ERM called "ROLE_APPROVAL" in CUP -> Configuration -> Workflow -> Initiator (with the said details as per the post-installation guide)
    5. Created a CAD called "ERM_ROLE_APPROVER" for ERM in CUP -> Configuration -> Workflow -> Custom Approver Determinator (with the said details as per the post installation guide, filling in the necessary URI, uname/pw for admin with UME roles)
    6. Created TWO stages , one stage for the role owner called "ERM_ROLE_APPROV", and one stage for the internal control owner called "ERM_ROLE_APPRO2", both with workflow type "RE" and Approver Determinator "ERM_ROLE_APPROVER" which was created in step 5 earlier.
    7. Created a path for ERM Role Approval Workflow in CUP -> Configuration -> Workflow -> Path, with workflow type "RE", Number of Stages "2", Initiator "ROLE_APPROVER", Active "checked" and I put Stage 1 as "ERM_ROLE_APPROV" and stage 2 as "ERM_ROLE_APPRO2".
    8. Configured the Exit Web Service (followed the details as per the post-installation guide for ERM)
As my role approval is pretty straight forward (i.e. based on business process attribute defined, with each role owner being responsible for their business process), I did the following:
    1. Create approval criteria "Role Approver for Business Process FI"
    2. For that criteria, I based it on attribute "Business Process"
    3. I clicked on "Assign Approvers" to define who is the approver (i.e. the respective role owner responsible for Process FI)
    4. I defined the condition for this criteria, Condition = AND, Attribute = Business Process, Value = FI
    My queries:
    1. Is the approval criteria which I created in ERM, referring to 1st stage or 2nd stage of the path in CUP?
    2. I'm assuming that for query 1, the approval criteria which I created is for 1st stage (i.e. ERM_ROLE_APPROV), where can I configure the 2nd level approval for the internal control owner (i.e. ERM_ROLE_APPRO2, in the path which I defined in CUP)?
    Thanks!

    Hi Baldwin,
All workflow paths in CUP are triggered by an Initiator.  Once the request from ERM meets "Initiator" ("ROLE_APPROVAL") requirements in CUP, the request will go to the first stage defined in the respective path. Approvers defined in each stage of the path can approve request. Once the request is approved in CUP, approval information will be sent to ERM and then the role in ERM will be moved to the next stage.

    Sirish Gullapalli.

  • Configuring ERM workflow in CUP issue (GRC AC 5.3)

Hi once again fellow SAP Security Folk,
Using GRC AC CUP 5.3 SP 13 I am trying to configure ERM workflow for the following scenario :
Every role change made via ERM requires approval from relevant Business Process (BP) area.  If the role change contains an SOD conflict of Medium or higher then approval is required from a 2nd central approver (basically regardless of the business process area).
I have not been able to configure ERM workflow within CUP to be able to do this u2013 I have only been able to configure it for dual approval, i.e. every change must have approval from both BP approver and Central approver before request can progress.  I did this by assigning the Central approver to all Business Processes as an additional approver. This means that the conditions for the scenario above are met but the drawback is that all other requests also require approval from Central approver even though they donu2019t need to, generating additional workload.
Can anyone advise if this is possible and how to do it ?
    Further info:-
I have setup in CUP an ERM Initiator, an ERM Custom Approver Determinator (CAD), an ERM Stage.
I have setup in ERM I have defined Business Process Approval Criteria for each Business Process approver.
I tried creating a 2nd ERM stage using a separate 2nd ERM CAD but this meant all changes required 2nd approval before request can continue.
I tried modifying the 1st Stage to Approval type All Approvers but this meant all changes required approval from all possible BP Approvers (instead of any one) before request can continue.
I tried creating a Detour/Fork but could only see within the Workflow Type selection criteria non ERM workflow types.
    Thanks
    Steve

You can either type in the configuration, like the what option you selected for approver (CAD or role or...etc), or other way is to capture the change log which shows what was the configuration for that stage....
(Configuration -< Change Log -> Search Change log)
    Cheers !!

  • Error message when deactivating Mitigation object workflow in CUP

    Hi All,
I had activated the mitigation object field in the workflow types in Miscelleaneous in CUP. Now when I try to deactivate it I get an error message Cannot deactivate since the field is in use in Custom Fields I had created a custom field for password, Now when I go to delete that field I also end up getting a message Cannot delete since referred in request data header I am not sure if it is referring to this custome field. If I try to change the custom field password, I get an error message Update custom field to non-workflow field failed since it has been used as workflow field.
I am not sure if it is referring to this custom field, but this field definately seems to have its own share of problems!!
    Thanks,
    CP

    Hi Chinmaya,
You can not delete a custom field if it is associated with any request or have been used in the workflow.
If custom field is used in the request, you can archieve the request, than you would be able to delete the custom field.
If the custom field is used in initiator than you have to delete the initiator. After that you can delete the custom field.
After deletion of Custom field only you can deactive the mitigation object field in the Misc.
    Kind Regards,
    Srinivasan

  • Workflow migration issue

When we migrate the Workflow Component we are still missing the fix we did.
First we had LOV for accept or Reject in the notification message.
We wanted to avoid LOV in the notification message..So we removed it and remigrated the wft file.
But we are seeing the LOV again..We verified the version of the object. But still issue persists.
So I ran the wfrmitt.sql to remove the Workflow Type completely and reinstall the WF.Now we are able to see the fix.
But i would like to know if there is any other way of doing this.?
Deleting and reinstalling involves time consuming method..
Are we missing something during the WF development?
    please advice

Pl contact the vendor of the tool. I assume the tool is using WFLOAD under the covers. You will need to determine the exact syntax used for WFLOAD.
