WorkFlows stuck in error NR 889 - No Free Interval Found

Hi Experts,
Approx 800 odd Workflows tries to send IDOCs (data flows) at the same time and approx 50 of these workflows get stuck on that step with error message NR 889 - No Free intervals found.
We restart these workflows later through transaction SWI2_DIAG so that all the IDOCs are sent in time, however a permanent solution is required for this issue so that workflow do not stuck in this error.

Hi,
Is the number range problem with the IDocs themselves, or with the documents they are creating?
If it is with the documents, you need to configure more number ranges - how many depends on the number of parallel processes that are posting these documents.
For example, if you have 3 documents posting concurrently, then you need to have 3 number ranges for these types of documents.

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
Can you find any errors in the Workflow log file?

Hi
SWPR can be used to re-start works in error. You will need of course to identify route cause of the issue and resolve it, otherwise the workflow will restart momentarily and go back into error.
SWPC can be used for workflows that are stuck, perhaps if there has been a system crash or one of the WF Batch jobs (i.e. deadline monitoring) fails or is terminated mid execution.

Workflow log in error

Hi,
I have one workflow log for ivoice.
It is in error stste in one step. I have restaterd the main workflow using swpr .
Still the workflow is in error.
User wants to complete the workflow in any case. But if I use SWIA then it says that error workflow can not be completed manually.
Please suggest how can i complete the workflow.

Modified Workflow Stuck on In-Progress

I have a modified Approval Workflow where I send emails out to notify the end user when the due date is approaching etc. nothing really fancy about it. I also email when a document has been approved and is rejected. For the Task form I modified it so a
user has to enter comments in for their task before rejecting it. Now, on occasion I have found that all the tasks will complete however, the workflow status is still In-Progress. This has happened very sporadically and very infrequent but it still bothers
me. Any one have any ideas? Could be getting mixed up when I push out a new version of the workflow or Infopath form? Alot of times if I have to make a change to the workflow It will require that the Infopath task forms needs updating. Thanks in advance for

According to your post, my understanding is that SharePoint 2010 OOTB approval workflow status remains In Progress even after approving the task.
Sometimes in SharePoint Workflow, tasks will get locked and you will not be able to proceed further.
I recommend to update WorkflowVersion of the task to "1".
It seems the task list was somehow messed up, you can create a new task list.
In addition, please make sure the "Assigned to" column property which allows multiple user selections set to "NO".

Automator "Send Outgoing Messages" Workflow Failed - 1 error

Hello,
In my hunt to be able to send a personalised templated e-mail to multiple recipents using Mac Mail, I came accross the automator feature. I've tinkered around with it but can't seem to generate the final action of sending.
1) New Mail Message (all fields have data as I read in another thread that this might generate errors.)
2) Get Specified Address Book Items
3) Group Mailer
4) Send Outgoing Messages (this is where I get a Workflow failed - 1 error)
Steps 1-3 have green tick marks, Step 4 has the error.
Can anyone point out where I might be going wrong?
I'm using 10.7.2

Prevent automatic workflow restart after error on an interface

Hi, i've got an IDOC-XI-SOAP interface that sends large xml's.
It causes me constants time-outs because, the reciever interface, doesn't send the response until finish processing (more than 3 minutes per IDOC).
I need 2 things to solve this issue.
1- Change the time-out for this particular interface
2- Cancel the automatic workflow restart after error on this particular interface

RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES program when schedueld in BG restarts failed messages. Hence you can cancel this process. But it will affect other interfaces also.

I have 1 more Question for you. Are you usigna BPM for IDOC --> XI -- >SOAP?? B'cos IDOCS are aysnc in nature & you are talking about waiting for SOAP response from your receiver.

Workflow Ends in Error " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP"

I have created an RFC user with limited Authoprizations including WE* tciodes and a few ME* transactons for an ALE Set up. I want to make sure i would not be giving more authorizations (extensive) to this RFC user and assign Just required authorizations. So i started testing testing and the inbound IDOC ended in error with a message " No auth to send IDocs with message type ORDRSP" Message no. SR053. Is there any way to find out what is the missing authorization object for the User. Any inputs would be really apprecaited.

Becaus alle this happens in beckgound, things are a bit difficult but solvable....
What you should do is a "Authority trace" ... as follows....:
- Go to the ST01
- Mark "Authorisation Check"
- Swich the trace on for your Workflow user
- Execute the Workflow until the error uccurs
- Go back to the ST01
- Press the "Analyze" button and see what error occurs
Dont forget to swicht the trace off... otherwise the tracefiles become realle BIG !

Workflows have been running fine for awhile. All workflows are currently stuck in a "Starting" state. Was finally able to capture this in ULS

Please check whether you have installed any CUs for SharePoint 2010.
Please install June 2013 CU or higher for SharePoint 2010, compare the result.

Just FYI : we had issue while installing Oracle , we have followed work arround 3 in the SAP Note 980426

According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when you assigned a task.
Did you install any CU for SharePoint?
If yes, after an update has been performed, several Windows PowerShell cmdlets must be run in order to maintain the connection between the SharePoint Server 2013 farm and the Workflow Manager farm.

Workflow Stuck

Hi my workflow is currently stuck on in-progress however, my tasks have been completed. I wrote some custom logging into the workflow and noticed that the Current Active Tasks are set to 1. Why would this be? Seems like because the final user is clicking
approve it is not making the adjustment to the workflow variable. Any help would be appreciated. It only happens once in a while.

As this issue occurs occasionally, I would suggest you look into the ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred when you complete the workflow.
For SharePoint 2010, by default, ULS log locates in
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS"

Exit code: 6 Silent workflow completed with errors

I'm trying to create a silent install package for Dreamweaver
CS3. I followed the steps listed in previous listings and created a
application.xml.override file and run the setup.exe with the
--mode=silent and the --deploymentFile=deployment.xml. After the
install is ran, I get Exit code: 6 Silent workflow completed with
errors and notice that the Adobe add ons are installed but no the
actual Dreamweaver application. Anyone have ideas on resolving this
and getting the install to work properly?

Looks like the first two warnings are security level warnings meaning that your silent install will not grant the correct security level for what ever reason. I suspect it needs admin level maybe?

Stuck in Error -200279

My program involves several DAQ tasks that run in lockstep, after the fashion of the "Multi-Function-Synch AI-AO" example. Works very well in general, but if anything ever interrupts the flow of the program, I get permanently stuck with error -200279. Here is the precise report:
Error -200279 occurred at DAQmx Read (Analog 1D Wfm NChan NSamp).vi:1
Possible reason(s):
Attempted to read samples that are no longer available. The requested sample was previously available, but has since been overwritten.
Increasing the buffer size, reading the data more frequently, or specifying a fixed number of samples to read instead of reading all available samples might correct the problem.

And once I am in this state, the only way I can find to get out of it is to kill and restart all my tasks. Surely there is a better way? How do I resynchronize so that the computer quits asking for old samples and gladly accepts the ones that are there NOW?
Here are a couple of reliable ways to bring on this problem: 1. Hit a breakpoint while debugging. This is very exasperating, when you can't use a breakpoint without destroying the very operation you're trying to debug. 2. The user presses a button that opens a file dialog. Even though my main program consists of several parallel loops, and the file dialog is called from a DIFFERENT LOOP from the one that is doing the data acquisition. That's a problem anyway. How can I bring up a file dialog without stopping my DAQ flow in midstream?
Help eagerly appreciated. This problem is stopping my program from being the industrial-strength job that my scientist users need.

Agree with you in general. In our specific case, we need to recognize the error but then immediately move on and get the next available data. What I think I understand from earlier in the thread is you need to manually move the RelativeTo and Offset to the most recent data and then continue. Here's what I have tried, and it seems to work. This is placed in the error handing code (essentialy in the DAQmxErrChk, so you have to worry about recursion because of calls to DAQmxErrChk).
     Case -200279
         ' Force DAQmx to read the most recent sample in the buffer
         DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetReadOffset(ByVal AITaskHandle, -1&))
         DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetReadRelativeTo(ByVal AITaskHandle, DAQmx_Val_MostRecentSamp))
         ' now read just one value to resynch everything
         DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxReadAnalogF64(AITaskHandle, -1, 1#, DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel, AIData(0), 1&, sampsperchanread, ByVal 0&))
         ' now reset DAQmx to read from the current position from now on
         DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxSetReadOffset(ByVal AITaskHandle, 0&))

The only problem is I don't really know if this is working as expected! Not sure how to really tell.
