Working Offline with RoboSource

Hello,
I've been working with RoboHelp at my office and I am going
to become a remote employee in the coming weeks. I am wondering a
few things about RoboHelp and RoboSource. I am relatively new to
the RoboHelp software.
Firstly, can I work on a RoboHelp project in 'offline' mode
(at home) and then log into the server where RoboSource is located
and sync up my files? I know that in the past I log into this
database and 'check out' the latest versions, then work on the
files... Can this process be done offline, then later log on and
check in the changes???
I will most likely be using VPN to connect to a SQL server
to access RoboSource, if that helps at all...
Any response would be appreciated!

Hello all,
I have an Access 2010 web database that I have published to a SharePoint site. Users currently work with the data via one of several Access 2010 front end applications that simply have linked tables and client queires, forms and reports. On a couple
of occasions, we have had issues with our SharePoint site that have left users unable to access the data. A couple of times it was due to our site collection suddenly and inexplicably becoming read only and the last time (while I was on vacation, of course)
due to some license changes my folks were unable to access the site.
I'm getting ready to go on vacation again. What i would like to do is have a sort of emergency back up plan should things go awry again while I'm gone.
What I envision is a back up database that has actual data tables, rather than simply linked lists, that I can sync with my SharePoint lists on a regular basis. That way, should the SharePoint lists become inaccessible, users could continue to work with
the data offline and any changes can be synced once a connection is restored.
I have read through
this article, but in each scenario I was unable to actually open tables to work with the data once offline. Is this a situation where I should simply have folks work offline with a local copy containing all of the data and then republish? Or, is there
a way to simply sync? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I'm really hoping to leave my laptop at home on this next trip.

Make this simple thing, import the class in your jsp, for example, in your case this should be:
<%@ page import="UserData" %>
The jasper compiler assumes that any unqualified class is part of the package jsps. I think this is to allow class definitions in the jsps. So if you indicate that the class is not packaged in jsps it will be found.

None of these statements are true and I ignore the prompts (although my husband did re-sign on to our router once). I find that if I unplug the phone line and then plug it in again, it works. Work offline with Photoshop files

At our company, we work a lot with Photoshop (Webdesign Firm). We have a Windows-Server environment, and several iMacs. For backup-purposes, we save all work-files on our server. Our Mac-users connect to the server through SMB, and open the PSD-files from there.
Most of the time, this works great. However, the bigger the Photoshop-files, the slower the Macs get. Also, quite often, saving the files to the server fails, resulting in a corrupt file.
To prevent this, I'm looking for a way to work 'offline' on a PSD file. I would like to select a PSD file from the server, mark it as Offline, so it is saved on my local computer. From there I can edit it. And when it has changed, I would like the file being saved on the server automatically.
Are there any programs that can do this?

Working offline with Designer

I have got a requirement that a Business Analyst want to carry his laptop for business requirements meetings and simultaneously work over there on his Designer repository. Is it possible that he can make some changes offline. Any alternative methods or suggestions are also welcomed.
I also forsee that if I grant this facility to one BA then the other three in the team may ask as well. Can I satisfy them all.

It is possible for your analyst to work on his own repository. He is not really working offline, as you will need to set up a repository for him on his laptop. You do need to plan this, because any changes or updates he makes in his own repostory need to be exported and then merged and checked back into the main repository.

What I cant get it to do is work offline, it always wants a connection to the internet.

Is there a way to prevent Firefox from checking "work offline"?

If I open Firefox before I am connected to the internet or if I try to do something when I have been dropped from the internet "work offline" is automatically checked. It is easy to fix but annoying. Is there a way to turn off this function?

Create a new Boolean pref with the name network.manage-offline-status and set the value to false.
Right-click on the about:config page to open the right-click context menu and use "New > Boolean" to create a new Boolean pref.
Name: network.manage-offline-status 
Value: false

With 10.2 I can only use system speaker output for audio, NOT my RME FF400 I used previously. The FF400 works fine with other apps. How can I set this device in FCP 10.2? (it is set in both system preferences and midi)

With 10.2 I can only use a system (e.g. speaker) output for audio, NOT my RME FF400 I used without any problems previously. The FF400 works fine with other apps (some like TwistedWave) setup in the program, and others (like Spotify) using system preferences & audio midi setup. How can I set the FF400 to be the sound output device in FCP 10.2? N.B. The FF400 is set as sound output device in both system preferences and audio midi setup.

I have the solution! Well it at least worked for me. This is the response I got from Apple, Can you please try the following steps towards fixing your audio issue, and report back with your results?
1. Open the application Audio Midi Setup (located in Applications : Utilities)
2. Select the Output Tab for the current output device
3. Select the Configure Speakers option
4. Select the Multichannel tab
5. Change the setting to Stereo Now mine was set to stereo but the left channel wasn't showing left. re-clicking on stereo reloaded the settings and after clicking apply it worked.

When I click on Firefox, the page comes up as "work offline" and I have to uncheck this option under "File" before I can get on line. How can I disable this automatic start option "work offline"?

Firefox starts up "Work offline" and I am notified "Having trouble loading page." I am then advised to "uncheck" the "work offline" option and "retry" getting connected to the internet. I would like Firefox 4 to automatically come up as a Browser on line, just as 3.6 did. How can I achieve this goal? Is there a way to disable the automatic "offline" start-up?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Can I stop Firefox from always opening in Work Offline mode because it's preventing my Macbook from accessing Internet on our wireless home network?

Sorry, I should have said iMac, not Macbook, if it makes a difference. The problem is Firefox 3.6.10 always starts in Work Offline mode, and Internet won't activate unless we restart, sometimes up to five times.
The iMac is on our home wireless network which we had no problems with before using Safari on the Macbook we upgraded from.
Note: I'm posting this query from another computer.

Did you check the network setting?

Get error message "firefox is in offline mode, uncheck the work offline menu and try again " when trying to open firefox after downloading latest version of firefox

after downloading the latest version of firefox, when trying to open it I recieved the message, "Firefox is in offline mode. cannot browse web. Uncheck the work offline menu and try again". Have tried several times to open with same results. Have even uninstalled firefox and reinstalled latest version and still get meassage after trying to open.

thank you - that does make sense except i have another computer that connects to the internet in the same way but it doesnt happen on that one. i didnt change anything - it just started a couple of weeks ago after i updated firefox to 11.0. cant find any settings in firefox to alter either - thanks for the help
