Working with a LifeDrive and a Visor Prism
What palm desktop software, or third party, will work and hotsync with both the LifeDrive and a Visor Prism? I have and will be using both. I currently have 6.2 installed and of course it will not recognize the visor prism. I've tried to research the web but so far I'm not having much luck. Thanks.

Thank you for this. It appears to have magically resolved itself somehow....now entirely sure how, as I did absolutely nothing! However, I've saved your suggestions so that if it happens again, I can check. I have a couple of other weird issues with it and am just praying it isn't a reinstall job. I probably need to start a new thread but just in case you know the answers:
1) The C7280 happily prints documents but if I try to get it to print a jpeg - nothing happens or rather...
a) jpeg opens in windows photo gallery
b) press print
c) ensuring right printer is selected as opposed to 7280 fax
It then sits on a message 'Please wait while the printer sends information to Windows" which takes a seriously long time - 10 mins or in some cases just doesn't happen. Jpegs are approx 2mb in size.
2) Don't suppose you'd know a handy short cut way of scanning in (using the feeder) several different documents at a time (as opposed to different pages of the same document) in a way that doesn't mean you have to practically come out of the software each time ? At the moment, this is what happens:
a) select SCAN DOCUMENT
b) select file format ie PDF
c) If document loaded on feeder, printer takes however many pages and scans into one document.
d) On pressing Finish, question comes up asking whether you'd like to add another page to the document. If you press Yes - it simply adds it the exisiting document being scanned and if you press No, it saves the existing document but exits that scanning page taking you right back to the home page which then remains greyed out for a while until, the previous document has been saved. Far too time consuming - when all you want to do is scan in all the different documents and do one big save at the end?
Would be hugely grateful if you're able to unravel the C7280 mysteries!

ISync Failure working with Missing Sync and Palm Lifedrive
Since the begining of March I have failed to peform a sync between my Palm and G4 Powerbook via Missing Sync v5.2.1
What happens is that a Sync is launched from my Palm cradle which is picked up by my G4, the dialogie suggests that things are being synchronised, but at the end on viewing my Sync History, I get errors reporting that databases on my palm can't be opened. Missing Syncs own conduits for iCal and AB report that they have been 'unregistered'.
Last night I attempted a sync with just 1 conduit active at a time and all failed.
I bought BackUpBuddy, but this two has failed to sync.
Markspace have suggested that I 'reset sync histories' which I have attempted to do. For this I need to open iSync first, however iSync quits during launch.
Anybody got any ideas on how to resolve this? TIANow that the response is reposted above, this thread makes more sense…
The (0x400a) errors generally, coupled with an inability to open files on your handheld, suggests that you have insufficient memory on board to perform these tasks. There are several other issues involved, however, so you should address each one by simplifying your configuration to avoid the most obvious ones.
For the time being, turn off the following conduits which do not report errors:
• Install
• Life Balance
• Mark/Space Conduit for iTunes
• Mark/Space Conduit for iTunes
• ChronosNotes
• BackupBuddy
Do that simply by un-checking them in the main window of the Missing Sync for Palm OS. You might want to attempt once again to synchronize, just to determine if anything has changed as a result of turning off these working conduits.
Also, turn off the following failing conduits:
• Mark/Space Folder Sync
• Voice Memo
• Documents To Go*
• Media
• Trip
Some may be incompatible with your your LifeDrive, or not properly configured for use with it. See the article below, for example, with regard to the Mark/Space Folder Sync conduit with it:

To avoid some obvious problems with your LifeDrive and the conduits presently installed, you should install the LifeDrive Update 2.0 is you have not already done so. *Among other things, it contains a Documents to Go update:

You must follow the instructions provided by Palm carefully, as the procedure removes all of the data from your device. Insure that your data is backed up elsewhere before performing this update.
Before attempting to update your LifeDrive, follow these instructions to determine if you need to:
Find out if your LifeDrive device includes the latest LifeDrive Update software
• on your LifeDrive, press <Home> twice, until the Applications Launcher—not Favorites—appears
• tap <Menu>
• from the <App> menu, select <Info>
• at the bottom of the screen, select <Version>
Look for the application named WiFiLib [HINT: scroll down below the <Wi-Fi> items to <WiFi> with no hyphen.]
If the version number is…
• 1.0.6, 1.0.5 or below: you don't have the latest LifeDrive update. Install it
• 1.0.7: you already have the latest LifeDrive Update. Do not install it again.
Had you not needed to install this update and perform the resulting reset, I would have recommended that you perform a soft reset to see if that procedure resolves any of your issues. -
Quite a few of my addons don't work with firefox 6, and I would prefer to keep them, but my pc crashed and I had to reformat. I don't want to have to go on a 3rd party site, since they could easily put a virus on my pc. I couldn't find anywhere to download it on the site.

Most camcorders call this folder "PRIVATE" or "AVCHD" and it should be located at the very top level of the camcorder when mounted. I have recently installed Mavericks on my desk top and since then I have been unable to switch off my computer without crashing it. I work with two screen and now I seem to have the menu bar on the second screen as well which I did not have before. Can you please help me?
Dr Bettina, I had similar problems with Mavericks. I installed it on a Mini and a 13" MacBook Pro. I can't speak to your disdplay issues, but I can confirm the inability to logout, shut down, or restarft without a forced, power button shut down. I can also report frequent System Prefs freezes and finder issues, like folder contents taking half a minuite or more to render, or not appearing at all. And while a few Adobe CC apps actually ran faster, InDesign ran like molasses uphill in Decemner.
I tried uninstalling or disabling numerous 3rd party apps and pref panes. I unplugged everything but the keyboard, ran DiskWarrier, repaired permissions, did fsck -f, trashed various preference files, reinstalled the OS... You name it, and I tried it — short of a potion using eye of newt.
After two days of totally hosed productivity, I restored OS 10.8.5 on the Mini so I could actually get some work done. However, I've decided to leave Mavericks on the MBP as a sort of crash dummy, and will install and thoroughly test all updates until stability has been achieved. Then — and only then — will I upgrade the Mini to Mavericks, even if it means waiting 'til a .2 or even .3 update.

I have both of these touches. I updated both 3g and 4g to ios 4.2.1 and poof...no docking station support other than charging, no audio and no remote function. My av/cable works with the tv, and the headphone jack still outputs audio, just no auido through the Apple dock and hte remote is dead. I purchased the dock from the apple store last year and it was working with both ipod 3g and 4g grrrrr...
Is Apple now in the bug trade business?, trade one for another....
Anyone else have this problem?My iPod Touch 3G running 4.2.1 works fine with the Apple docking station.

I agree what u replied for the above question, but because of the UAE request, you cannot deactivate the facetime completely from this iphone, they should stop working through SIM network. The iphone is a universal mobile which can travel all over the world, many tourist people will suffer due to that, pls re-consider in taking back and try to make it upgrading this software.

I am working with Acrobat XI and when I try to add text to a geopdf file I get a popup screen that says this is a secured document and editing is not permitted. How do I fix this?
I figured it out...needed to use comment tool set, not the editing tool set.

Existing Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message on the iPhone after iOS 6
After the IOS 6 update on my iPhone the Apple ID is not longer working with Face Time and Message. Each time I try to log in I receive the message that the password or the user is not right. But they are, because on all other devices and all other parts of the iPhone (iCloud, AppStore, iTunes) they are working. Other Apple IDs are working fine.
What's wrong? Any idea?

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

How do you copy, for example I work with blue prints and I want to copy a section and copy into another new page?
Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible? -

Although the HP Scanjet shows up in the system profile for the computer it is generic and is not configured (as in screen shot). It also does not show up in the ;ist of pritnters, scanner when I open Image Capture. I can't load the software that came with the printer because it is out of date so that would make it impossible to configure the scanner on the new iMac. see below: Too bad there isn't some generic profile I could load that would cover the 5550c. I have a new all in one printer-fax-scanner but the old one can scann in slides and negatives which I have.

sign-in and several documents had been finished. However, when continued
creating another document the computer took a long time to pprocess and
finally a mesage appeared: "An error occurred while signing in" and stopped
there. I clicked the OK button and start creating again and the same
message appeared once more. I tried to log off and log in again in no
avail. So I went to the help site and called for help.
Later, I decided to reboot the computer and tried once more. This time it
worked and I continued creating. Thanks.

i got the new version and my toolbar is all cluttered up with corporate logos... and all my bookmarks no longer fit. i really resent this! it took me time to get that toolbar the way i wanted it and you have RUINED IT. GET RID OF THE LOGOS PLEASE!!!!
