Working with entire albums, not individual songs

... is this possible?
I've installed iTunes 7 before deciding whether to buy an iPOD nano.
I have a couple of hundred albums, too many to put all of them on a nano.
I want to be able to select a whole album with one click, so with six clicks I can select six albums for syncronisation with the iPOD. I don't want to have to select each track (possibly 100+ clicks). Can I do this?
A work around to this might be if the coverflow "mode" displayed only the songs in the selected album, or if a playlist was created for each album automatically, neither of which I can find options for. Am I missing something?
As it stands at the moment I don't think I would get an iPOD. I want to take a different selection of albums with me every day but that doesn't seem to be what it's designed for...
I'm sure I can't be the only person that wants to use it like this? Any help gratefully received.

Well, I'm not sure that's the best way to go about adding songs to your iPod, but you can do it that way. Make a new playlist. It may help to double-click on that new playlist so that the playlist opens in a separate window.
In the main iTunes window, select the main library and then put iTunes in browser mode (View..Show Browser). Select the albums you want by control-clicking in the list. Drag the selection to a playlist (or playlist window). All the songs for those albums will be added to the playlist.
Then sync that playlist to your iPod. You can clear that playlist (or make another new playlist) and make new selections if that's what you want to do.

This has probably been asked before, however I can't find the answer. When I Shuffle in iTunes it plays one song, Shuffles to the next artist and then Shuffles between songs on that album. I can't get it to random Shuffle. My girlfriends Macbook does this, I can't find anything settings that would make mine work properly--am I missing something?

If it's iTunes purchased music then you might be able to re-download it on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app - it will download into the Music app. If you want your other music from your computer's iTunes (e,g. music copied from CDs and playlists) then you will need to sync it from your computer's iTunes to your iPad's Music app.

Airtunes works with music but not with tv show

I have an AE wired to my to my A/V receiver and I play itunes music wirelessly thru the AE and it works fine. Problem: I downloaded a TV show and the audio will not stream via the AE and will only play thru the computer. The video works fine fine in both cases as I have it hooked to my TV via my A/V receiver from my Macbook display port. I am running itunes 8.1 and my AE is on firmware version 7.4.1.
Anyone know why the songs audio works and the tv show audio does not?

Thanks for that fast and definitely a fix at this time. It also works with internet radio, not just the iTunes radio stations. Now my wife will be able to listen to KFOG from San Francisco and I can actually hear my movies, since I am using a MacBook and it is just not loud enough.

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
*Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
*Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
*Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
*Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

I recently bought new Van Morrison Duets album. When I transfer it to my ipod it transfers each individual song; not the album

Older model iPods such as the classic don't support the Album Artist field. Workarounds are to treat the entire album as a compilation, or put the guest/feat. artist infomation into the song Name field and use a common value for Artist. I prefer the latter approach.

What happens when you try to download it again? An error message? Does it try to charge you again?

ITunes not working with compilation albums

Hi, I have a question about the handleing of compilation albums in iTunes. Is there a way to be able to sort iTunes by Artist, and not have compilation albums all over the place? I am using cover flow if it makes a difference. I want to have the correct artist in the artist tag so I can use Last.fm. I have tried using the compilation option in get info (yes I checked it too in preferances) and grouping by album artist.

Have you tried using the "Sorting" tab in the track info?
Select a track. Command+i will bring up the info window; click on Sorting and you can tell iTunes how you want a track sorted.
This is a new feature in version 7 so if you aren't yet using v. 7 you won't find this tab.
Incidentally, even with compilation albums, iTunes should still list the individual artist.

Creating Playlist On Zen Micro - Adds Entire Album, Not Selected S

I'm attempting to create a playlist while in my Zen Micro. I have a song playing and go to the song and select "Save as Playlist", and I assign it a name. When I go look at the playlist it has included the entire album in the playlist, not just the selected song. Is there any way of adding single tracks rather than entire albums (other than creating them externally using Creative's software)?

You have to go to the main menu, select Now Playing, a song should show there, then use the bottom right hand option button (right click) and there should be a selection to clear all from Now Playing. I don't have my Zen Micro here with me so I can't tell you exactly what it says in the menu. Once you have done that you can create a play list and individually add songs to it as above.
