Working with inline images: How to get them to the edge of the page.

I'm making an epub and unfortunatly that means inline images. The thing is i want the images to go right to the very edge of the pages and nto have like a 2cm gap from all the edges. I have tried moving the margins however thhe image still remains firmly in the center of the page. Can I change this as it is really annoying me? Thanks .

I tried and found that you have to in Page Setup choose a paper size that is borderless. in view menu click on Show Layout. You will get a grey border on the"paper". That is the part you printer can write on. I thin this could be the problem. If you have a borderless version choose it. I don't do ePub so I can't check if this the solution for you.

Drag Zones with multiple pictures - How to get them to play?

I have struggled with this program for hours. In previous posting from 2005 people say there was a "bug" in the program so multiple pictures in drag zones would not play? Anyone know if this was fixed? Sure won't play for me and instruction manuals say up to 99 pictures can be dragged into them. If the theme has six drag zones, it plays those six pictures, but no more than that. It's driving me nuts!!!!!

Hey observe... I am not sure, but are you trying to get the "DROP" zones in your themes to play more than one photo on your menu? (Not sure if Ive misread your question and subsequent replies, but in case I havent):
If you want the drop zones to play "mini-slideshows" in your menu, you can do this in a couple of different ways. Firstly once youve added your slideshow to your iDVD theme you can then go to menu and press auto fill. This will put your slideshow into each of the drop zones. If you want them to play from different points of the slideshow just press on them and adjust the slider above them to the point where you want them to start. The other way you can do this is to create a mini-slideshow in iPhoto or FotoMagico or iMovie (without audio) for each drop zone and drop them in.

How to get values from the page excpet pagecontext.getparameter

i have a requirement wherein i am passing paramteres from the "submit" button.but the problem being that,i have multiple rows in my page.what is happening is that my "submit" button is passing the values of the previous row,instead of the current row.this is i think because "commit" gets called later and params are passed before it.
how do i solve this problem
or if i can get to get paramteres in a advance table layout,i l be able to achieve my requirement.beacuse in advance table layout,i am not able to do pagecontext.getparameter("---" of the item

i did try working with row refrence but it returns a null only.
my requirement was that i had update functionality as well as "add new rows" on the same advtbl bean.an whenevr i click on "add new row" and submit,i was always gettin the parameters for the previous row.
now,i have got a workaround to that,by having a radio button to select rows to update and whenever i click on "add new rows" ,i disable the radio button,and get the handle based on the value from radio group.
but still row refrence dint work for me.i will appreciate if sum1 can send me the code

Working with grey images

Hey guys, got a new question for you. I'm working with grey images from an old newspaper in the 40's in photoshop, originally the format was working gray - dot gain 20%. My question is since this is a gray image with no cmyk to be found, what would you suggest would be the ideal format so that when these images are sent to the printer they will come out looking good? Thanks in advance guys.

What I'm doing for JPEGs:
72 ppi at current size
144 ppi at half size
215 ppi at 1/3 size
288 ppi at 1/4 size
and even lower if I can get the images that small, but these are intended for a small brochure so I figure they will be okay at around 1 inch wide per placed image in indesign.

Working in the Adobe RGB color space requires that all components in the chain (camera, software, monitor, printer) be able to handle aRGB. When printing from Photoshop Elements, what changes (if any) need to be made at printing time?

I knew about the "more options" dialog box and use it regularly to set
ICC profiles for my Canon Pro9500 Mark II printer, ensuring also that
"Photoshop Elements manages colors". I could have asked the question
better perhaps: "When working with aRGB images, how can I set both an
ICC printer profile for a specific paper and ensure that printer uses
the aRGB color space?". As far as I can tell, you can set an aRGB
profile (either in Photoshop or at the level of the printer), but you
can't use both the aRGB profile and an ICC paper profile at the same
time. I am assuming that you can't set an ICC profile for the paper in
Photoshop Elements and at the same time use the printer's aRGB driver.
Is that right?

I don't think that is wise since Siri or I may try to make a phone contact may actually be a factime call, butI don't know how to get them into the app ( tried via the "add account in settings, and with a cheap Google synch app) .

They could be on another page on your iPhone, try doing a search for the apps. If you still don't see them restart your iPhone by holding down the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. If you are still having problems try to reset your home screen.

I have received the text in a Word document. It contains mixed characters, something like this:

I have tried to paste it in the two following ways:
1) to create a text box and paste the text. The result is that some of the characters are not showed correctly.
2) Paste it directly without any preparation. This result into a single "image" or group of images. I can cancel modify each character one at a time, or I can dissolve the group, but the result is the same.

Suddenly the apps I downloaded won't work. The screen "blinks" for a second as if the app is loading, and then returns to the home screen. All the apps that came with the iPod seem to be working fine. How to get them all working again?

First try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck, try downloading another free app from the App Store.

Your previous purchases are saved on iCloud even if you bought them on another computer. If you can't find them on your current computer, you might need to unhide them. Go to iTunes preferences, and click on Store Preferences. Then click the box for "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Then click on OK, and everything you've ever bought from iTunes on that Apple ID will show up in your library. You will need to download them from iCloud first before you can synch them to your iPod Classic. To do this, click on the little cloud with the arrow in it next to your song, and it will download to your computer. When you have the music that you want downloaded, plug in your iPod and synch away. Hope this helps!

We do need more information to help. Are the images gone from your iPhoto library, or is the iPhoto Library missing? How and when did this happen?
If images are missing from the library: Did you check for hidden photos? Did you check the iPhoto Trash?
If the pictures are still in the iPhoto Trash, open the Trash, select the images and and press the liitle arrow in the lower right corner - select "Put back".
If the pictures are still in an "iPhoto" folder in the system Trash (with sub folders named by date), import these folders to your iPhoto library.
Have you checked, if you have opened the correct iPhoto Library? Launch iPhoto with the options key held down, to select another Library.
If the entire Library is missing, have you searched for ".photolibrary" with spotlight?
Do have a backup?
If none of these easy measures helps, report back with more details - your iPhoto version, and anything else that might be helpful to find out, what the problem is. Don't do anything that changes the contents of your hard drive for now.

Ok, so I was able to find one but the one i'm most diappointed is the "free music" app i purchased and it had hundreds of songs that i didn't put on my desk top to save. So just so we're clear, I cannot get that app back again with all my songs if it wasn't in the "purchased" place?
Also,
my husband has a iphone 4 and i've been trying to connect it to our Garmin GPS through bluetooth. Now both devices recognize it but once a call is made or received, nothing goes through the GPS. I've had it working before but it was before a couple of upgrades. It is currently on ios7.2 upgrade. Is that why it won't work?

Have discovered how to split visual and audio tracks. However the cut away only seems to work with still images from iPhoto!

trying to cut away from one video clip to a second one, while keeping the original sound track, works with still images imported from iPhoto, but cant get the video to drag/drop. please help thanks

OK that sounds correct. Just to clarify, when the sign appears, as you release the mouse button (or whatever you are using), no menu pops up but the clip immediately positions itself:

No, there is no double-click or right-click involved at all. Just drag and drop, then select from the pop-up menu. You should be able to repeat this with no issues. I've also tested dropping video onto a still picture - the cutaway works on that as well.
Something is definitely not working correctly - strange! Quit iMovie, then try deleting the preference file as I described in my last post. Quitting and relaunching iMovie might even fix it. Also, try restarting your Mac - that sometimes helps.
