Working with Linear EXRs in AE - How?

I've recently been playing around with Linear EXRs (exported from Red footage using RedCineX), but I have some questions about how to work with them in After Effects.
1) As I import the files into AE they look dark, even when I have the interpret as linear light on. If I have it off they look really dark. Which is all correct I guess. But, even with linear light on, how do I go ahead and work with the files. They're too dark for green screen keying for example. My project is set up to 32bpc, Linear, sRGB in CS5. I could use viewing LUTs, but that wouldn't really help with the actual keying for example.
2) How would I go ahead to work with a file that isn't linear to begin with, say for example that my foreground is linear EXR and my background is gamma corrected DPX. They look very different, and I wouldn't want to darken my bg to match my fg. I would guess you'd have to use the color profile converter. Ideas?
3) I tried exporting a LOG file out of RedCineX and converted that to Linear Light using the technique posted on Prolost.com (http://prolost.com/blog/2008/3/15/red-log.html). So if both images are in linear light, they should look the same, right? They don't. The redlog file is still brighter. But log to lin technique tells me to gamma of 1,7 to do the linear light conversion. Should I apply a gamma of 1,7 to the EXRs as well? Feels strange.
A lot of questions I know, but I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. I've read everything I could find about Linear Workflow in AE and couldn't find an answer.

T-Mobile is a GSM network whereas Sprint is a CDMA network. They are incompatible. Sprint is not obliged to unlock a phone that is still under contract. Their phones may not be capable of being unlocked.

there were two different 23-inch Apple Cinema HD displays made. The first one was made between 2002 and 2004, and has an ADC connector. The second one was made between 2004 and 2008, and has a DVI-D connector.
If you have the display with an ADC connector, then according to this Apple page, your display will work with your MacBook Pro if it’s a 13-inch or 15-inch model. If you have a first-generation MacBook Pro, you’d need an Apple DVI to ADC Adapter (or equivalent) to connect them. If you have a Unibody or Retina MacBook Pro, then you’d also need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter (or equivalent) to complete the connection. A Retina model would also have the option of using a third-party HDMI to DVI-D adapter to complete the connection with the DVI to ADC adapter.
If you have the display with a DVI-D connector, then if you have a first-generation MacBook Pro, you should be able to plug it in directly. If you have a Unibody or Retina MacBook Pro, then the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter would let you make the connection. Again, Retina models also would have the option of using a third-party HDMI to DVI-D adapter.

I called Apple Support after trying many fixes suggested online. They directed me to the procedure on the following page:

I did the erase and restore option they suggested since I had tried a pile of ther things suggested on posts and blogs and they did not work. I even waited the obligatory 24 hours, thus the restore from backup option was what they suggested. I have a 64gig iPhone 4S and it took about 1.5 hours to complete the entire operation seeing that I am using about 54 gigs of that capacity.
Warning: I lost all of my emails and all of the data files from one of my map programs so be sure you have everything that you really need from your phone store elsewhere before wiping your phone. I thought that the backup on my computer would restore everything but obviously NOT.

Numbers 3.2 has changed too much, it doesn't work with my project anymore. 1) The sheet panels used to be on the left hand side and easily reviewable and searchable, but now they are on the top and it's harder to find a specific folder without scrolling (too time consuming), 2) I used to be able to duplicate a folder within my sheet panel window by simply clicking on a folder and hitting Command D, but that doesn't work now so it looks like I'll have to spend even more time to recreate the same tables that used to be easily duplicated, and 3) I can't choose fill colors that matched my project anymore because there are only limited choices available now. And these are only the changes that I'm aware of. I am very disappointed and frustrated. Whatever the motivation was to limit Numbers 3.2, I want the previous version back. How do I revert back to the previous version I was using?

You can scroll more quickly between sheets if you don't use the left-right triangles, but instead move the cursor up into the bands with the "tabs" and drag right or left.
Also, if you have a lot if sheets for which you want a quick vertical list, then you can try the following have something like this pop up (showing your sheet names automatically) whenever you hit a keyboard shortcut (in my case shift-command-j):

I am trying to access to Oracle object types from Java.
My problem is, I have relational tables, Object Types and Object Views.
All the examples I found from Oracle manuals are working with Object Tables(Table column is created as Object Type).
You run a query and get this object type (oraconn.GetObject(1)) and the query is (SELECT * FROM Object_Table) so its get first column(which is an object type) and cast it to Java Class(with SQLDATA or ORADATA).
The problem is that my data is in Relational Tables and I don't want to export them to Object tables.
I want to get it from Object View.
Is this possible? Or better is anybody has an example???

I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. how do I create and work with Nullable objects in PowerScript.
None of the tips I found worked:

Well, nullable: yes, but Nullable: no.
this is what I get in .NET if I call GetType() on a variable of type Nullable[Int32]:

That's quite a difference to PowerShell's:
([System.Nullable[System.Int32]]$null).GetType()
You can't call a method on an expression with value NULL.
See my point? PowerShell apparently doesn't have a notion about Nullable types. That's what I need to find out for myself: "Why?"

Does BC email work with MDaemon and if so how as BC doesn't have a global Hostname and password?

Hi. Stuggling a bit on this one. The BC support guys are great but this one has got everyone stumped.
The operating system is as follows. The user interface is Outlook that collects user e-mail from MDaemon.
MDaemon collates e-mail from DomainPop mail collection engine.
MDaemon requires Host name or IP address, Account name and password to set up new engine.
Any one done this before?

My name is Ian and I'm with Alt-N MDaemon Application Support.
Unfortunately, I'm not to familiar with this Business Catalyst, but from what you're describing seems that the server will send messages through MDaemon.
In order for the server to connect with MDaemon, it'll need to be configured to connect to the fully qualified domain name or the public IP address of the MDaemon server. If MDaemon is configured to require authentication, then the sending client would need to provide authentication if the message is from a local MDaemon account.
If the BC server cannot be configured to authenticate, you could add the BC server's IP address to the Trusted Host section within MDaemon to bypass authentication. This can be defined within MDaemon under Security | Security Settings | Trusted Hosts | Trusted IP section.
If this information doesn't help, please provide me with some more details on how you're trying to get BC and MDaemon to work together and I'll be happy to help further.

Re using AE as an extender: do I need to choose the 2.4 ghz band to have it work with iPhone? If so, how do I do that?

I have AT&T Uverse service, so I use my Airport Extreme as an extender. However, it doesn't seem to have an effect on my iPhone: I can stand right next to the AE and not get a good signal. I read somewhere that the iPhone only uses the 2.4 ghz band. If my AE is set to use the 5 ghz band, how would I instruct it to use the 2.4 ghz band?

I have AT&T Uverse service, so I use my Airport Extreme as an extender.
Unfortunately, the AirPort Extreme is not compatible with the Uverse router if you are tying to "extend" using wireless only.
However, it doesn't seem to have an effect on my iPhone: I can stand right next to the AE and not get a good signal.
The Extreme can only "join" a Uverse wireless network...normally for use with an AirPort Express with AirTunes. The Extreme does not provide any additional wireless coverage when it "joins" a network. That is why you notice no improvement in the wireless signal.
Apple's "extend" setting is a proprietary feature that will only work with other Apple routers. In other words, to have an Apple device "extend a wireless network", you need to have another Apple device providing the wireless network.
If you want the Extreme to provide more wireless coverage, you will need to connect it to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Uverse rotuer with a wired Ethernet connection from the WAN port on the Extreme.
