Working with PHP
Flash Builder 4.6 Premium comes with Adobe CS6 Master Suite.
Does this offer any way to work with PHP as well, or is that only if you get Flash Builder 4.6 for PHP?
If there's no direct link between the Master Suite version of Flash Builder and Zend Studio, can this be integrated with the free Eclipse Studio which has a PHP version?
Any info (or links) on how to set this up or other suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm working on both Flash / Gaia sites and on Drupal 7 sites (which are PHP based)
Thanks

Is it possible to work with PHP pages in Oracle ERP R12 and how to set up ?
Hi,
Is it possible to work with PHP pages in Oracle ERP R12 and how to set up ?
Regards
Nandhakumar PHi Nandhakumar,
To be able to access any Oracle database using PHP you require the following:
A server with Apache 2+ (Unix, windows etc)
PHP enabled using OCI8
tnsnames.ora
Oracle instant client and associated libraries
This gives you direct access into oracle database. As for E-Business, you will compromise the security and safty of of R12 by going in through php. Oracle is not likely to support it either.
I have got a apache/php/Oracle XE working on a test environment and Ithe performance is not a big issue. If you must I would hughly recommend Oracle Linux for quality and security. -
Problem when displaying images when working with PHP, mysql and dreamweaver in a brower
Hey Guys
I am new to dynamic development but I already did some
research and tutorials about how to get a dynamic web site working
with PHP and Mysql in Dreamweaver. I set up a test page to view
some content on it directly from the mysql database and it worked
just fine in dreamweaver only when I pressed the
live data view.
When I tried to view the same page using the browser preview
with firefox and internet explorer, plain text from the database
was correctly displayed on the brower but the images were absent.
In the mysql database I used the varchar as my picture data
type field so that I will refer in dreamweaver in the data binding
panel in the img.src to the picture column of my database.
I anyone can tell me what am I doing wrong so that my
pictures are not displayed in the browser when i click the browser
preview facility in dreamweaver I would be very very and very
pleased ! :)The odds are that it is the way that you have referenced the
images rather
than an issue with the database. If you have the images root
relative like
this "/images" then they will work in preview, and on the
webserver, but
will not view when looking at the file via localhost.
If possible make the links page relative and then they should
work fine.

How to configure OCI of Oracle9i to work with PHP or ASP on IIS5
I've been trying to make OCI of Oracle9i to work with PHP for all week. I went thourgh millions of documents and forums. And I still can't make them work. Anyone, please help me.
I used to have Oracle8i on my machine and it worked fine with both PHP and ASP on IIS5. Then I decided to change to Oracle9i. So I install Oracle9i in seperate home. And they worked fine. But one day I couldn't access some of my websites via "localhost/mywebsite". And I thought there is something wrong with IIS coz I ran very huge queries. So I reinstall IIS5. Then everything crash. PHP and ASP can't work with OCI. So I uninstalled every Oracle component (database and services) and PHP out of my machine. Then I installed Oracle9i database, redownload "php-4.3.1-installer.exe" , and install PHP.
Since I can't seem to find "php_oci8.dll" in "c:\php\" after I installed, I assume that oracle9i must provide OCI and I found the file "oci.dll" in "c:\OraHome9\Bin" directory. So I changed the extension directory in php.ini to
extension_dir = "c:\OraHome9\Bin"
And it still doesn't work. I'm kinna new to ASP so I don't know how to fix this problem.
Anyone, would you please give me any suggestion how to solve this problem or where to find the solution for this problem? [SOLVED] SQLite not working with PHP
For reasons unknown, I cannot get PHP to work properly with SQLite. I have uncommented the "extension=sqlite.so" in /etc/php/php.ini, ensured that PHP's configuration was being loaded from said file, and made sure PHP was working fine with my server of choice (lighttpd). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work, as evidenced by
Fatal error: Call to undefined function sqlite_open() in test.php on line x
Which is what PHP spits at me. I've checked lighty's logs and nothing's wrong. PHP's set to send to syslog, so I'm not sure where I could check on that. Here is a quick look at PHP's setup.
My /etc/php/php.ini:
[PHP]
; About php.ini ;
; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior. In order for PHP to
; read it, it must be named 'php.ini'. PHP looks for it in the current
; working directory, in the path designated by the environment variable
; PHPRC, and in the path that was defined in compile time (in that order).
; The path in which the php.ini file is looked for can be overridden using
; the -c argument in command line mode.
; The syntax of the file is extremely simple. Whitespace and Lines
; beginning with a semicolon are silently ignored (as you probably guessed).
; Section headers (e.g. [Foo]) are also silently ignored, even though
; they might mean something in the future.
; Directives are specified using the following syntax:
; directive = value
; Directive names are *case sensitive* - foo=bar is different from FOO=bar.
; The value can be a string, a number, a PHP constant (e.g. E_ALL or M_PI), one
; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
; | bitwise OR
; & bitwise AND
; ~ bitwise NOT
; ! boolean NOT
; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
; sign, or by using the None keyword:
; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
; About this file ;
; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
; and encourage cleaner coding.
; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
; file is warmly recommended for production sites. As all of the changes from
; the standard settings are thoroughly documented, you can go over each one,
; and decide whether you want to use it or not.
; For general information about the php.ini file, please consult the php.ini-dist
; file, included in your PHP distribution.
; This file is different from the php.ini-dist file in the fact that it features
; different values for several directives, in order to improve performance, while
; possibly breaking compatibility with the standard out-of-the-box behavior of
; PHP. Please make sure you read what's different, and modify your scripts
; accordingly, if you decide to use this file instead.
; - register_long_arrays = Off [Performance]
; Disables registration of the older (and deprecated) long predefined array
; variables ($HTTP_*_VARS). Instead, use the superglobals that were
; introduced in PHP 4.1.0
; - display_errors = Off [Security]
; With this directive set to off, errors that occur during the execution of
; scripts will no longer be displayed as a part of the script output, and thus,
; will no longer be exposed to remote users. With some errors, the error message
; content may expose information about your script, web server, or database
; server that may be exploitable for hacking. Production sites should have this
; directive set to off.
; - log_errors = On [Security]
; This directive complements the above one. Any errors that occur during the
; execution of your script will be logged (typically, to your server's error log,
; but can be configured in several ways). Along with setting display_errors to off,
; this setup gives you the ability to fully understand what may have gone wrong,
; without exposing any sensitive information to remote users.
; - output_buffering = 4096 [Performance]
; Set a 4KB output buffer. Enabling output buffering typically results in less
; writes, and sometimes less packets sent on the wire, which can often lead to
; better performance. The gain this directive actually yields greatly depends
; on which Web server you're working with, and what kind of scripts you're using.
; - register_argc_argv = Off [Performance]
; Disables registration of the somewhat redundant $argv and $argc global
; variables.
; - magic_quotes_gpc = Off [Performance]
; Input data is no longer escaped with slashes so that it can be sent into
; SQL databases without further manipulation. Instead, you should use the
; database vendor specific escape string function on each input element you
; wish to send to a database.
; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
; By default, PHP suppresses errors of type E_NOTICE. These error messages
; are emitted for non-critical errors, but that could be a symptom of a bigger
; problem. Most notably, this will cause error messages about the use
; of uninitialized variables to be displayed.
; - allow_call_time_pass_reference = Off [Code cleanliness]
; It's not possible to decide to force a variable to be passed by reference
; when calling a function. The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
; function require the relevant argument by reference.
; - short_open_tag = Off [Portability]
; Using short tags is discouraged when developing code meant for redistribution
; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.
; Language Options ;
; Enable the PHP scripting language engine under Apache.
engine = On
; Enable compatibility mode with Zend Engine 1 (PHP 4.x)
zend.ze1_compatibility_mode = Off
; Allow the <? tag. Otherwise, only <?php and <script> tags are recognized.
; NOTE: Using short tags should be avoided when developing applications or
; libraries that are meant for redistribution, or deployment on PHP
; servers which are not under your control, because short tags may not
; be supported on the target server. For portable, redistributable code,
; be sure not to use short tags.

; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).
output_buffering = 4096
; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character
; encoding will be transparently converted to the specified encoding.
; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
; is doing.
; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!
; Instead you must use zlib.output_handler.
;output_handler =
; Transparent output compression using the zlib library
; Valid values for this option are 'off', 'on', or a specific buffer size
; to be used for compression (default is 4KB)
; Note: Resulting chunk size may vary due to nature of compression. PHP
; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.
; Note: You need to use zlib.output_handler instead of the standard
; output_handler, or otherwise the output will be corrupted.
zlib.output_compression = Off
;zlib.output_compression_level = -1
; You cannot specify additional output handlers if zlib.output_compression
; is activated here. This setting does the same as output_handler but in
; a different order.
;zlib.output_handler =
; Implicit flush tells PHP to tell the output layer to flush itself
; automatically after every output block. This is equivalent to calling the

; implications and is generally recommended for debugging purposes only.

I've attempted enabling pdo.so and pdo_sqlite.so as well, with no results, making sure to stop lighty and flush all of its processes before checking again.
`php-cgi -m | grep sqlite` does not return anything, either.
The extensions directory (/usr/lib/php/20060613) exists on my system and contains sqlite.so, as expected.
I have no clue what's going on here and would greatly appreciate any help offered.
Last edited by xelados (2009-09-23 04:02:22)After the last update which installed PHP 5.3.0, I'm having a similar problem. PHP fails to recognize any extensions which I've defined in php.ini. PHP itself works just fine, so I'm sure this problem is related to the update of PHP.
Here's my php.ini:
[PHP]
; About php.ini ;
; This file controls many aspects of PHP's behavior.
E_ALL or M_PI), one
; of the INI constants (On, Off, True, False, Yes, No and None) or an expression
; (e.g. E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE), or a quoted string ("foo").
; Expressions in the INI file are limited to bitwise operators and parentheses:
; | bitwise OR
; & bitwise AND
; ~ bitwise NOT
; ! boolean NOT
; Boolean flags can be turned on using the values 1, On, True or Yes.
; They can be turned off using the values 0, Off, False or No.
; An empty string can be denoted by simply not writing anything after the equal
; sign, or by using the None keyword:
; foo = ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = none ; sets foo to an empty string
; foo = "none" ; sets foo to the string 'none'
; If you use constants in your value, and these constants belong to a
; dynamically loaded extension (either a PHP extension or a Zend extension),
; you may only use these constants *after* the line that loads the extension.
; About this file ;
; This is the recommended, PHP 5-style version of the php.ini-dist file. It
; sets some non standard settings, that make PHP more efficient, more secure,
; and encourage cleaner coding.
; The price is that with these settings, PHP may be incompatible with some
; applications, and sometimes, more difficult to develop with. Using this
; file is warmly recommended for production sites.
Instead, you should use the
; function addslashes() on each input element you wish to send to a database.
; - variables_order = "GPCS" [Performance]
; The environment variables are not hashed into the $_ENV. To access
; environment variables, you can use getenv() instead.
; - error_reporting = E_ALL [Code Cleanliness, Security(?)]
; By default, PHP suppresses errors of type E_NOTICE.
The PHP 4 style to do this is by making the
; function require the relevant argument by reference.
; - short_open_tag = Off [Portability]

; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.

; Output buffering allows you to send header lines (including cookies) even
; after you send body content, at the price of slowing PHP's output layer a
; bit. You can enable output buffering during runtime by calling the output
; buffering functions. You can also enable output buffering for all files by
; setting this directive to On. If you wish to limit the size of the buffer
; to a certain size - you can use a maximum number of bytes instead of 'On', as
; a value for this directive (e.g., output_buffering=4096).

; You can redirect all of the output of your scripts to a function. For
; example, if you set output_handler to "mb_output_handler", character
; encoding will be transparently converted to the specified encoding.
; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
; Note: People who wrote portable scripts should not depend on this ini
; directive. Instead, explicitly set the output handler using ob_start().
; Using this ini directive may cause problems unless you know what script
; is doing.
; Note: You cannot use both "mb_output_handler" with "ob_iconv_handler"
; and you cannot use both "ob_gzhandler" and "zlib.output_compression".
; Note: output_handler must be empty if this is set 'On' !!!!

; outputs chunks that are few hundreds bytes each as a result of
; compression. If you prefer a larger chunk size for better
; performance, enable output_buffering in addition.

FileReference doesn't work with PHP Globals
<help>,
Ok so this is my problem. I have a flash movie that allows
users to uploads two images to a server. What I'm trying to do is
have the uploaded images go directly to their user's directory. I
need the upload.php file to figure out which person is uploading an
image. The php page that handles the file uploads will not read in
any global variables (i.e. POST, GET, SESSION, COOKIE). Also
FileReference.upload() doesn't allow you to send any GET / POST
vars along with it (as far as I have tested and read about). I've
been working on this for four days now and have concluded it's
something to do with the Flash FileReference calling the php page.
I believe for some reason when FileReference calls the php page the
web server doesn't like/allow/understand how the page is called so
it denies any global var requests. I know its flash because it
works if I use an html front end with the same php uploader page.
So the goal for you 'out of the box' thinkers is to get one
single darn global variable pulled into the php upload page. The
ONLY way I can think of doing this is when every time a user
creates an account and their folder is created, it copies the php
upload file their directory. Then in flash when a user needs to
upload its calls the upload file in each persons upload directory.
Needless to say I do not want to do it this way but I'm running out
of ideas.
P.S. someone has suggested uploading the images to a temp
file name and then immediatly move the image to the users folder
but I I'm tentive to do it that way since you could get two people
uploading at the same time and one person would get the second
person's image and the second person would get an error.

</help>This may help. You can pass some URL encoded data with the
FileReference
upload method.
file_fr.upload("upload.php?testvar=Hello World " +Date());
Then this is a demo on how you can see that data, which you
would need to
rework to use to set the path.
<?php
if ($_FILES['Filedata']['name']) {
$uploadDir = "images/";
$uploadFile = $uploadDir .
basename($_FILES['Filedata']['name']);
move_uploaded_file($_FILES['Filedata']['tmp_name'],
$uploadFile);
$filename = "output.txt";
$fp = fopen( $filename,"w+");
fwrite ( $fp, "Test" );
fwrite ( $fp, $_REQUEST['testvar'] );
fclose( $fp );

.click on row works with php table - does not work with javascript table.
Howdy,
I've run into a very interesting problem today, and I hope you'll be able to help me.
I have a page in which the top is php to read a table from the server, and post the table as the html page is being built.
The data come up as a table, and each row is clickable, that click moving the user to a different page, based on the row clicked.
Here are the relevant parts of the php code:
<?php
echo "<table id='patienttable' cellpadding=5px border=0 font-size=16px>";
echo "<tr><th width='30'>"."ID#"."</th><th width='100'>"."Last Name"."</th><th width='100'>"."First Name"."</th><th width='100'>".
"Middle Name"."</th><th width='80'>"."DOB"."</th><th width='50'>"."Zip"."</th><th width='50'>"."Gender"."</th><th width='100'>".
"Phone"."</th></tr>";
while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result))
blah blah blah
echo "<tr><td id='localid'>".$localid. "</td><td>".$lastname. "</td><td>".$firstname. "</td><td>".$middlename."</td><td>".$dob."</td><td>".$physzip. "</td><td>".$gender."</td><td>".$phone1. "</td></tr>";
echo "</table>";
?>
And here is the code to click on a row:
$("#patienttable tr").click(function() {
var passthis = $(this).find("#localid").html();
$.post("php/setsessionvariable.php",
{sessionval: passthis},
function(e) {window.location.href = "root.php"}
EVERYTHING works great - no problems - working now for about 2 months.
Today I started to build something similar, BUT! I cannot read from the database at the top of the page, I must do an ajax query, call the db, and post the data in a table;
Here is the boring, fairly straight-forward javascript code:
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "findpatientbackend.php",
data: {letterslastname: lastname},
dataType : 'json',
success: function(result) {
$("#div1").html("");
if(result.length >= 1)
{var output = "";
$("div1").html("<table id='findtable'>");
$.each(result, function(index, value) {
output += "<tr><td width='100px'></td><td id='localid' width='100px'>"
+ value.localid + "</td><td width='100px'>"
+ value.lastname + "</td><td width='100px'>"
+ value.firstname + "</td><td width='100px'>"
+ value.middlename + "</td><td width='100px'>"
+ value.dob + "</td></tr>";
$("#div1").html(output);
$("div1").html("</table>");
error : function() { alert("error on return"); }
And here is the click row code, almost EXACTLY like the one above:
$("#findtable tr").click(function() {
var passthis = $(this).find("#localid").html();
$.post("php/setsessionvariable.php",
{sessionval: passthis},
function(e) {window.location.href = '../root.php'}
All the "stuff" loaded onto the page just fine, BUT, absolutely nothing happens when I click a row.
Playing around this afternoon, I did a "View Source" on both pages, and saw something VERY interesting;
1 - The table written by PHP is present, can be seen, and therefore is "clickable" to the jquery .click function.
2 - The table written by javascript is INVISIBLE! I cannot see it in the source view (but I can see it on the screen) and therefore the .click function can't see it either.
Questions:
1. How can I make the table written in javascript "clickable" - how can I make the javascript table "visible"?
2. Could it be the use of ".html" to post the table to the div? Is there another way?
And again, I thank you in advance for any help.I found the solution to my problem, and perhaps my comments here will help others.
Thinking a bit more, I wrote a separate javascript routine that created a table, allowed it to be styled, and allowed it to be clickable.
Here is the code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html>
<head>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.1/jquery-ui.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<style>
#findtable {
width:200px;
background-color:#CFD3FE;
margin:10px auto;
text-align:center;}
</style>
<body>
<div id="puttablehere"></div>
<script>
$(document).ready(function () {
var output = "<table id='findtable'>";
for (var i = 0; i<15; i++) {output += "<tr><td width='100px'>X</td><td id='localid' width='100px'>X</td></tr>";}
output += "</table>";
$("#puttablehere").html(output);
$("#findtable tr").click(function(e) { alert("it works!"); });
</script>
</body>
</html>
The initial code I posted was creating the table the wrong way.
You have to create the WHOLE table at the same time, and post it all at once.
The code above does that.
My learning points are:
1. To create a table in javascript, and post it with a $("#puttablehere").html(output); call, you must put the ENTIRE table into that single string variable called "output" (or whatever you want to call it).
2. Everytime you call a jqeury .html function like this: ---("#puttablehere").html(output); -- It COMPLETELY over-writes the whole div/tr/td block that it is pointed at.
3. If you create a table in javascript (client side) you cannot see it with "View Source" - because what is posted in the table is AFTER the DOM is loaded.
Creating a table with php server side - you CAN see, because it is posted with the DOM.
So I thank you for your ideas, and I hope this may help another noob, such as myself, in the future.
Adios! -
Creating a flash website to work with php & MYSQL for MMORPG
Hi i have a website which is a gangster MMORPG, it using PHP,
CSS, HTML and some javascript but however with the amount of game
similar to mine i want to make it unique so i bought "building
flash websites for dummies" i have read must of it and understand
most of it. but however don't really have a clue i it could
actually work with my website.
what i want to know is can it work with my current PHP &
MYSQL, so for example i want to create a logging page with flash to
replace my old PHP/HTML one this will be my first crack at it. but
will flash be able to check the MYSQL database and send error
messages back to the view etc.Yeah, this can work... My recommendations would be to read a
couple articles in the dev center on this topic, that should get
you started...

[SOLVED] Roundcube doesn't appear to work with PHP 5.6
Edit: I got some help from someone on the Roundcube list. It turns out my problem involved some Roundcube configuration options that don't seem to be documented. See the last comment in this thread for the solution. I will update the Roundcube wiki page to prevent others from having to go through this.
My setup is postfix for SMTP and cyrus for IMAP. The cyrus IMAP server is set up for plain text authentication over STARTTLS (using a self-signed SSL certificate)
I'm pretty sure I've configured Roundcube correctly, however, I can't get it to authenticate. Looking in the roundcube error log, I see
[31-Jan-2015 10:27:14 America/Chicago] PHP Warning: stream_socket_enable_crypto(): SSL operation failed with code 1. OpenSSL Error messages:
error:14090086:SSL routines:ssl3_get_server_certificate:certificate verify failed in /usr/share/webapps/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap_generic.php on line 915
[31-Jan-2015 10:27:14 -0600]: IMAP Error: Login failed for [email protected] from 67.198.113.124. Unable to negotiate TLS in /usr/share/webapps/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap.php on line 184 (POST /?_task=login?_task=login&_action=login)
Googling for a solution, I found this stackoverflow thread suggesting that this is a problem with PHP 5.6 not being able to find self-signed SSL certificates:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2682 … ify-failed
The roundcube wiki page tells me nothing (in fact, is quite incomplete; I've already made several changes to bring it up to speed a bit).
Is anyone else successfully using Roundcube with PHP 5.6.5 and an IMAP server that only allows STARTTLS connections using a self-signed certificate?
Last edited by pgoetz (2015-02-03 16:30:58)So, in order to get Roundcube to use TLS authentication with a self-signed certificate, you must configure $config['imap_conn_options'] in /etc/webapps/roundcubemail/config/config.inc.php. You must also make sure to set $config['default_host'] using a tls:// prefix, as illustrated below.
$config['default_host'] = 'tls://mail.my_domain.org';
$config['imap_conn_options'] = array(
'ssl' => array(
'verify_peer' => true,
'allow_self_signed' => true,
'peer_name' => 'mail.my_domain.org',
'ciphers' => 'TLSv1+HIGH:!aNull:@STRENGTH',
'cafile' => '/etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-cyrus.my_domain.org.pem',
I'm not sure that the ciphers entry is necessary (I have the same ciphers set in /etc/cyrus/imapd.conf), but this configuration works and I've already spent too much time fiddling with this configuration.
The complete list of PHP SSL options can be found here: http://php.net/manual/en/context.ssl.php

Hi folks -
I've installed 'gd' which installed its dependencies of libpng, libjpeg and freetype2 with no problems. I've also enabled the module in the php.ini. However, I can't get gd to work (trying to get a photo gallery plugin working in Wordpress) ... according to the phpinfo, PHP was built with the gd option. Also I enabled error logging in the php.ini and I don't see anything in any logs about errors with the gd module.
Any suggestions?
thanks for any help!

the libjpeg.so.7 doesnt exist. i only have /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 . could this be the problem?
how would it be possible to fix it?
seems to be related tho.
rklingsten: how did you re-install php. so i can try the same. im a debian kind of guy so i end up doing stuff wrong
Well, yours looks different than mine did ... you said the file libjpeg.so.7 doesn't exist, but it seems that ldd is finding it somehow. Mine originally said "libjpeg.so.7 => not found"
After messing with it for awhile, I simply did a pacman -S php and that fixed it which gave me a new PHP gd.so module linked to the updated libjpeg library. -
How to make "MXKollection + ADDT" work with php 5.3+
Hello Everyone,
I am back again to this forum after i suffered a lot while trying to use my old website created with "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools, i have faced a lot of deprecated functions along with the "Registration" + "Login" + "Send Email". Even there is a lot of fixes for other plugins that terminated by Adobe such as: "MX Dynamic Charts" + "MX Site Search" and even more.
** Now for the "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools please use the following patch:
- Download the patch from here.
** The source of the patch and other useful patches for "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools can be found here:
- Friends of InterAKTJacob,
it worked for QA. They where mentioning the problem with mod_osso configuration in forms90.conf file. This is from their answer on how to change the configuration (guess you know that, but maybe other reading this thread don't)
1. Open %IAS_HOME%\forms90\server\forms90.conf
At then end of file, there is one line for mod_sso
#Forms mod_osso authentication directive #<IfModule mod_osso.c> #<Location
/forms90/f90servlet> # require valid-user # AuthType Basic #</Location>
#</IfModule>
2. User must change the format like this
#Forms mod_osso authentication directive
<IfModule mod_osso.c>
<Location /forms90/f90servlet>
require valid-user
AuthType Basic
</Location>
</IfModule>
3. Restart opmn
4. Run a test form
If you cannot connect even when specifying the userid in the URL in non-SSO mode, the my assumption would be that the tnsnames entry is not working okay. Are you sure that the SQLPlus program you use uses the same tnsnames.ora file of the same home (Forms_BI Home) ? What happens if you specify the connect information in the formsweb.cfg file under the application definitions
[myApp]
userid=username/passw@db
If this still displays the logon screen then obviously there is a configuration problem that needs to be chased down. Let me know if you can establish teh connection from Forms when defining username/passw in the formsweb.cfg file.

Getting php + apc to work with the arch-package
Hi,
I am trying to get APC to work with PHP. And I am wondering if it is really working.
I have installed the archlinux APC and PHP.
Then I uncommented /etc/php/conf.d/apc.ini in so:
extension=apc.so
When i run php_info():
there is actually a new section for APC:
APC Support enabled
Version 3.0.19
MMAP Support Enabled
MMAP File Mask no value
Locking type pthread mutex Locks
Revision $Revision: 3.154.2.5 $
Build Date May 15 2008 19:49:30
but,
when i do: php-cgi -v
PHP 5.2.9 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.7 (cgi-fcgi) (built: Mar 25 2009 14:59:15)
Copyright (c) 1997-2009 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2009 Zend Technologies
shouldn't it print something at the bottom saying something like "with APC ...."
my other consern is if php actually needs to be compiled with support for APC and that is not the case with the php that comes with the
archlinux package? If I do: php-config
I can not see anything about APC.
If I try to benchmark with and without extension=apc.so I don't see any improvements, actually it is some percent slower with apc commented in.
Last edited by jb234 (2009-06-22 11:27:25)Ok, I think it is working.
The problem was testing with a too small a php-script. The bigger a php-script the more potential for speedup from apc.
Sorry for the confusion. -
DW 8.0.2 hot fix ref 207225 broke with php 5.2.6
DW hotfix 8.0.2 which fixed the following issue (in php
5.1.4),
After upgrading to php 5.2.6 I am receiving the same mm xsl
transform error
I have had to downgrade my php to 5.2.5
Please can this be investigated.
XSL Transformation server behavior doesn't work with PHP
5.1.4An XSLT fragment embedded in a PHP page using the XSL
Transformation server behavior triggers the following
MM_XSLTransform error when processed by a PHP 5.1.4 server:
MM_XSLTransform error.
http://newsrss.mysite.com/rss/rss.xml
is not a valid XML document.
Non-static method DOMDocument::loadXML() should not be called
statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in file
http://newsrss.mysite.com/rss/rss.xml.
The error message incorrectly reports that the XML data
source is not a valid XML document. The same page displays
successfully when processed by a PHP 5.1.2 server. This problem
occurs in Dreamweaver 8.0, 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 and is due to the use of
a static function call that was newly deprecated in PHP 5.1.4.

> Are you able to confirm this problem in php 5.2.6?
No. I have installed PHP 5.2.6 on a different machine, and
tested the
XSL Transformation server behavior. It works exactly the same
as in 5.2.5.
> If confirmed, what is the process for raising a bug and
will Adobe fix it?
I cannot confirm the problem, so there's nothing I can see
for Adobe to
fix. However, the correct channel for reporting bugs is
through the form
at the following address:
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
Even if a problem can be identified, it's highly unlikely
that Adobe
would issue an updated version of the 8.0.2 hotfix. The
hotfix worked
perfectly with the version of PHP that was current at the
time. Since
then, CS3 has been released, and CS4 is being officially
announced next
Tuesday. If a fix is required (and I don't believe one is),
the normal
policy is to supply it for the current version of
Dreamweaver, not one
that is no longer on sale.
