Working with versions

Hello
We are working with GW 7.02 + DMS for many years and happy with it.
Recentlly one of our main customers start demanding that we "work" with Documents Validation" .
we start looking into working with versions and i have some questions :
1. Can create a rule that makes me create a new version when i try to
open a document ?
2. Can i "close" the possiabilty to edit the "previous" Version ?
Is there any good help to "working with versions" ?

1 - No rule I know of, you have to use Save As and then Save As New Version.
2 - In the Version Level Security part of the Sharing tab in document
properties, turn off Edit/Delete and Share for Other Versions

This solved my problem with the printing.

When trying to install an extension for InDesign CC 2014 I get an error message saying that the extension only works with version 7.0 or greater. My version is 10.0.0.7 x64 Build I was using this extension fine with InDesign CC

Used the 64bit version before CC 2014 as well so don't think that's the issue. Here is the text in the .mxi file if I have missed something:

I am starting to affiliate market and need a donotfollow plug in or add on and the one available on your site will not work with version 4 of Firefox. OK - to answer my own question, Apple recommend 8.2.1, but you can install 9.1.1 and it will run on a G3. Very slowly. Looks like this is the only option. Get it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1036. You need OSX 10.4.11 or later though....

FYI, for future others with this problem: After a couple hours of playing around it was fixed, though I'm not sure what finally did it. Be sure that you try Google's "Sign Out of All Accounts", and not just the regular sign out option.

Will google toolbar bookmarks work with version 4 or 5

i use google toolbar bookmarks feature with firefox version 3.6.18. will this feature work with version 4 or 5.
i tried updating to version 5 and could not get this feature to work.

Firefox 4 isn't supported any longer.
Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

Can´t publich websites from Lightroom 5 (works with version 4)

Hi, I use Lightroom 5 to create websites for my sports photos. The problem is that since upgrading to version 5 (5.7) I always get a error message so I have to export my photos and then publich from Lightroom version 4. Any one know what the problem might be?

Signature Tool is not working with version 11.2.3

It appears that the signature pen does not work. It even looks like it is not lit up. This is just a test form created in Adobe Acrobat X Pro. The signature does not work in other forms that worked with the prior version of Adobe reader for iOS. All one needed to do was sign documents by pressing the signature pen or long pressing to sign.
The signature tool does work on a PDF document but the form above is a fillable/saveable form created with be Reader Extended PDF which allows data entry and saving.

After some further testing it appears that the signature function is not availible on forms with the Reader Extended version. Just using normal form seems to work.

Hi Jen. My daughter just compleated her nursing program and is now working as a full time nurse. Focus and study hard and soon you will be there too. Now to the problem at hand. I have the same problem. I gave up on it and satisfied myself with my iPod without the upgrade. Reason being I've read so many posts of people having problems after the upgrade. But I'm sure other factors are involved. Nevertheless here is the fix most say works to solve the problem: What ever virus protection you have installed on your computer, disable it. Then try to install the update. After that enable the protection. I had Kaspersky, and it does it's job well. The thinking is, the virus protection is blocking the upgrade. Hope this works. Charlie

How can I get Firefox version 5? I use an application for banking that doesn't work with version 6 yet.

I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

None of my other toolbars (yahoo, google, norton and stumbleupon) do not work with version 5. How can I uninstall 5 and reinstall 4?

When I try to reinstall any of my toolbars I am told it is not compatible with Firefox 5. I really hate to go back to IE but I may have to if I can't get this fixed.

Norton has actually tried to get a update patch out for Firefox 5.0 back on Tuesday (versus taking some six weeks) when Firefox 5.0 was released. However I think some say the toolbar may not work if patch was installed before Firefox 5.0 and not after.
