Working with WSRP Tookit From BEA

Hi Friends,
I am working on implementing WSRP in one of my applications.I had the
WSRP Toolkit from BEA downloaded over
my Weblogic 8.1 SP2 installation in my place.I want a facility of
customizing the Remote Portlet from my consumer application.I had decided to
set Portlet Preferences for my Remote Portlet in the Producer
application. But,i seem to get some errors when i tried to access the
Producer Portal from the Producer Machine itself. Is it any limitation that
its not possible to set preferences to the Portlet because of the
WSRP Toolkit installation overwrited the original SP2 installation.Or is
there any way by which i can set preferences to my portlet
and run it just as a ordinay portal application would.Later ,i want that to
be accessed from one of my consumer portals too,so that
they can customize it.Anyone who has worked on WSRP can provide me with an
insight into what could have gone wrong at the Producer Level,
is it because of WSRP Toolkit or is it something i have missed out.Any help
regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Joanny,
Can you give an example of how the form is displayed in the browser?
I suspect that form parameter names are not rewritten, and hence are
ignored by the producer side bridge API for struts.

We have a WLP (8.1) as a consumer and a WLS (8.1) as a WSRP-portlet producer. The portlets are Struts-Portlets (but without using struts tag-libraries because we are using Velocity instead of JSP).
We have a problem with the Forms :
When we fill a form in the WSRP Portlet after submitting we see in the SOAP message the form parameters (like "<urn:formParameters name= ...") but impossible to get those parameters (from the request or the session) in our WSRP-Portlet-Producer (WLS 8.1).
This problem is blocking us. And I???m really hopping that anyone may find a solution.

Perhaps, you could load the scanned document in photoshop, photoshop elements or even in Corel's Paintshop Pro.  All of these programs can be downloaded for trial use for 30 days and you never know you could be tempted to buy them because they are so good that you would want them to do wonderful things with them.
    Good luck.

  • Have discovered how to split visual and audio tracks. However the cut away only seems to work with still images from iPhoto!

trying to cut away from one video clip to a second one, while keeping the original sound track, works with still images imported from iPhoto, but cant get the video to drag/drop. please help thanks

    simonjacobson wrote:
Drag clip over target, green plus sign appears.........clip appears at front of video, no menu option appears,
OK that sounds correct. Just to clarify, when the sign appears, as you release the mouse button (or whatever you are using), no menu pops up but the clip immediately positions itself:
at the front of the target clip, OR
at the very beginning of your project
Not sure where I'm heading here, just trying to get the complete picture.
I di it once, but not again, do i need to double click/right click or something?
No, there is no double-click or right-click involved at all. Just drag and drop, then select from the pop-up menu. You should be able to repeat this with no issues. I've also tested dropping video onto a still picture - the cutaway works on that as well.
Something is definitely not working correctly - strange! Quit iMovie, then try deleting the preference file as I described in my last post. Quitting and relaunching iMovie might even fix it. Also, try restarting your Mac - that sometimes helps.

  • Working with backend (Oracle) from WD Java DC - help to choose an approach

    Hello All!
I'm developing a WDJ application used Oracle DB as backend. It will be medium application working with few tables.
I've read some of blogs, tutorials and forum threads but still can't choose the best way for implementation the access to DB. All I know that I want to use JavaBean model in WDJ and that I should to use EJB.
There are some Java patterns like DTO, DAO, Command... For example, in this blog /people/balaramnaidu.bankuru/blog/2006/04/23/importing-complex-javabean-model-into-webdynpro-by-creating-relationships-for-the-model-classes author told only about Command pattern, in Re: Getting Data from EJB to WebDynpro I've read about DAO, DTO and others... I've confused with them. Which patterns will be enough to use for my task?

I upgraded to the new firefox. I have a lap top with vista windows.
Norton Login does not work with this version. Can you please explain to me how to fix this problem. Much preferred the last version of firefox.

You need an update from Norton, which Norton says will be ready in May.

  • Working with Raw files from newer camera in CS or CS2

I have a Canon 40d camera. I'm still using CS at home and CS2 at work.
In order to work with these files in these earlier versions of PS, I have to first convert them to DNG files. Though not a complete drag, it is a bit time-consuming. Am I sort of stuck with this unless I upgrade to CS3?
Also, (and I realize it may not be off topic), is there any particular reason Canon can't use the same type of RAW file for all the cameras, instead of a new RAW file type, or why have they not embraced DNG support?
    Best, David

    freedda,
I know you have probably read this many times before. But ACR in Photoshop CS3 is vastly improved. There are numerous new controls that provide you with much greater flexibility with your raw images. Unless there are other factors preventing you from upgrading, it is my opinion that you would find the upgrade well worth the investment.

  • DNG Profile Editor not working with new Profiles from LR 3.6?

I'm noticing that DNG Profile Editor is not really able to work with profiles from newly supported cameras, like the X10. Apparently the profile spec has been updated. Has DNG Profile Editor been abandoned or will it be updated to work with the new spec? I really hope it is!

Thanks.  I am looking forward to editing the v4 profiles for the D700 - I just want to change a few colors in the existing profiles.  I think the existing v4 profiles do an excellent job of matching the Nikon colors, but I don't like a few of the Nikon colors.  Some colors have too much Red, but Red is too Orange.
I have selected a number of images that have colors I want to change.  I selected the Camera Neutral (v0) and Camera Portrait (v0) and using the latest DNG Profile Editor I select the 18 colors from the Color Checker Chart.  I then use the images that have the colors I want to change and determine which of the 18 points I selected from the Color Checker are close.  I then edit those points - only 6 points.  I only need to change the Hue by 5 units or less.  I don't change any of the other selected points of the Color Checker, but feel that by selecting them I locked in the exisiting colors.  Hope this is a good aproach.
I wish Nikon would do something equivalent to the DNG Profile Editor for their Picture Control profiles so they could be edited and loaded into the camera.

  • Does photoshop elements work with air display from avatron?

I want to use photoshop elements with air display from avatron.  Its necessary use pressure sensitive.

Photoshop Elements only specifically works with touchscreens when it comes to gestures (moving your finger(s) in a specific motion to get a special behavior). Otherwise, the touch screen should act exactly like a mouse. My guess here is that this is simply a question of precision. If you try to "click" and drag a corner of the crop interface, does the crop rectangle move or rotate instead of change size?

  • How can I work with FCPX away from base?

I have to go away and would like to at least do some keywording on a large amount of clips I have imported on to an external 1TB forewired drive  (which I would prefer not to take with meif possible)
All my FCPX so far is on my iMac  so -  is it possibe to transfer anything to my MacBook Pro to take with me and work on that?
If so what do I ned to trasnfer from my iMac?  Do I then need to take the external drive with me - even to do keywording>
I cannot find this in the manual - but, I am sure I saw a refernce to this somewhere
    thanks

The events library and project library are on whatever drive they're on.
When you first launch FCP an events folder is created in your Movis folder. If you make a new project it might be created in a projects folder in Movies as well.
If the entire content, media and project, are on the external drive, then there is nothing from the iMac that you need. Connect the FW drive to the MBP, launch the application, and it will read the events and projects folders on that drive and never create an events folder on the MBP. If you launch FCP without the drive, it will create an empty event, in an Events folder, in Movies, on the MBP as the application always has to have one event at least to work with.
You can work with events in the organizational stage without ever even making or opening a project or making a projects folder on any drive.

  • Does Premiere Elements support DVCPRO-HD? How do I ingest and work with HD-footage from HVX-200?

    Hi there,
I work with Premiere Elements 11 on a windows PC, and I try to ingest HD-footage from Panasonic HVX-200 Camcorder. Premiere Elements only recognizes thumbnails, but not the footage itself? What do I have to do? Or does Elements only support SD-footage? Do I have to install DVCPRO-HD Codec? Where do I get it then?
Thanks for your help!, yours Mike

    Welcome to the forum.
PrE does support HD material, just not all of it.
With DVCPRO HD on P2 media, I am not sure that you will be able to work directly with the media files from your Panasonic in PrE. This is the list of supported formats: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premiereelements/using/WSeffff8bffc802084-1665492e133c9c19956- 8000.html#WS300DE01D-F057-4639-96D1-F99EEE163C24
PrPro can Import and edit DVCPRO HD on P2 media. The Panasonic P2, along with its metadata is supported: http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/extend.html

  • How to work with BarTender software from LV ?

    Hi,
I'd like to activate Seagull's BarTender Label printing software (version 7.71) from Labview.
Basically I need to create a new label, add text and pictures/icons to it and then send it to the printer.
I noticed an Active-X option exist but I'm not sure how to work with it. I started building something like the attached file but I don't know how to continue.
Does anyone have some examples ?
(Otherwise, is it possible to use command lines ?)
    Thanks in advance,
    Mentos.

What type of printer are you trying to communicate with? Depending on the printer it may be possible to communicate directly with the printer itself. You would need to define the label or labels you would like to print and insert the data on the fly in your application and then send it to the printer.
I am not familiar with the BarTender application itself so I can't give you advice on interfacing with it. However if it does have an ActiveX interface you should be able to communicate with it directly.

  • Recently upgraded to Mavericks... was working with Pages documents from previous OS ... Pages is now frozen and I don't dare force quit and loose my old documents.

Recently upgraded to Mavericks... was working with Pages documents created with previous OS ... Pages is now frozen and I don't dare force quit and loose my old documents.  How can I "thaw".... unfreeze Pages?  Have several pages windows open that I was working on.

I also had this problem after I installed Mavericks: Pages files freezing at close, need to force quit.
Workaround: when saving any document created with an earlier version of Pages, be sure to untick the "include preview in document".
For some reason, this resolves the problem.
BTW "loose" is not a verb. You probably mean "lose".

notice that this doesn't bother me because if i use the glibc from the repositories everything works fine, this is just for curiosity of why it doesn't work
    thanks in advance
