Workitem execution flag by user

Hello,
Here is a scenario. We are sending workitems to multiple users for dual/parallel approval  ECR/ECO process through a mixture of workflow config, change types and signature strategies.  The problem is whenever an user has approved a workitem, the SAP Inbox doesn't show that particular workitem has been executed by that particular approver/user.
Example, User A gets a ECR/ECO approval work item in his inbox. He signs it and saves ok. Since there could be multiple approvers and not all have signed by then, the work item remains in his inbox. The next day/next week, there is another ECR/ECO approval work item  that comes to the inbox and the user (mostly engineers and not too SAP-savvy) is confused which one he has signed already since there is NO FLAG that accompanies the work item he has approved laready last day/week.
So, the question is there any way to differentiate executed work items (flags in Inbox etc.) that still remains in the inbox due to incomplete status but has already been executed/approved by that particular user ??
Thanks

Hi Arghadip,
Thank you for the reply but the truth is, we are at a time crunch in our project and the basic solution is already in place . So,  given the scenario we are in, when the WIs are executed/approved but nevertheless stayed in the inbox  due to dual approval process when other approvers are still waiting to sign it, how can an individual user know ( just by looking at the inbox) whether or not a particular WI has been signed by him/her? This is only for the ease of individual user, so that he/she doesn't have to click through the WIs to know if he has already signed it or not..
Please let me know if you find anything

  • Workitem execution from outlook - via citrix

    Hallo,
we access SAP via Citrix and we want to execute workitems from outlook (by a decision task).
I use the report RSWUWFML2, the user receives e-mail with corresponding attachments to execute the workitem, but I don't know, how to open them.
Do I have to set up anything special?
    Thank you.
    Petra

    Hi PB,
Are you not able to open/execute the workitem ?
Does it give you error ?
I have built scenarios of executing the workitem from Outlook,
in order to do that, you need to run the report RSWUWFML2 in background, hence create a variant for the report with following checkboxes ticked,
    X  New workitems only.
    X  One message per workitem.
    X  Workitem Execution.
After you run this report in background, you need to create a shortcut of your transaction to which your workitem should lead you.
I mean, say on execution of workitem, you want the user to reach transaction ME54N, then create a shortcut for this transaction, by opening your client thru SAP, going to ME54N and clicking the shortcut button on the menu.
Now, add this shortcut to your SAP GUI LogOnPad.
Note* : you should have all the valid parameters in the shortcut.
    Thats all I did.
    Hope it helps.
    Reward if helpful.
Citrix system wouldnt create an issue I suppose.

  • Rule returns no agent and workitem sent to all users

    Hi,
In my workflow I have defined a rule fot a workitem. The task is general task. When this rule does not return a possible agent system is sending workitem to all the users in the system.
I tried to make the task general forwarding not allowed, then the workitem is not triggered saying no agent assigned though my rule results in an agent.
I can give a user of workflow administrator or dummy user in rule - function module. But what is the standard way of solving this issue. I was expecting the workflow to go into error mode when my rule - function module returns no agent instead its going to the inbox of all users in the system.
    Please advise.
    Best Regards,
    Aleem Mohiuddin.

In PFAC ubder Rule definition tab...
You have a chck box for  "Terminate if rule resolution without result"
    Please cheeck this and try.

  • Tcode for finding workitems executed by a user

    Hello All:
Could you please tell me the t-code which is used to find the workitems executed by a user.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Yes, SWI5 will do the job...
I have additional question: Does someone know any other way(s) to find the work items executed by a user? Function modules, etc.? SWI5 gets extremely slow when you have a "billions" of work items in the system...

  • BW statistics: Query Execution Time per User

I am struggling to get something meaningful out of the BW statistics. The only information I really need is:
The time from the first call of a query until the first selection screen and
The time from the execution request until the data is displayed (i.e. after filling selection screen)
With the possibility to see this information by user.
So with other words:  KF Duration of query call + KF Duration of query execution, with Characteristics: user, period, query
This could sound like a very simple universal query, but indeed absolutely not straightforward when looking at statistics contents. Any hints on the KF calculations are most welcome.
The BW version in 7.0, with Bex as well as WAD reporting.

I was looking for the same KFs, but did not find anything meaningful in ST03N as well.
But I would recommend to execute the Web Report (from WAD or from Portal, if you are using Enterprise Portal) and then look at table view RSDDSTAT_OLAP. In this table view, BW Statistic data for each step is saved on event level. So if you execute the Web Report, you will find entries for the step corresponding to displaying the selection screen and for the step of generating the Web Report after the selection screen. The column RUNTIME displays the runtime of each step, which is a good indicator for the average runtime KFs you want to have.
Maybe there are more meaningful KFs in technical BI Content, but I did not find them yet.

  • Forwarding workitem to a Service user.

    Hello All,

  • Same Workitem to two diffrent user ID's

    HI Team,
1.How to send same workitem to two different user ID's.Give some document for this requ .its urgent..
2.How to auto forwarding the workitem to another user id,if the person is on leave.I had tried SWIA ,but workitem is not listing there. Give me some valuable inputs.
Give me some idea ,its urgent ..
    Thanks,
    Ram.

    Hi Raja Ram,
If u need to send a work item two more than one person u can also use this option.
    1) Create a ztable and assign the two users in it.
    2) Now create a method in that use SWC_GET_ELEMENT
and write a select statement to retrive the ztable.
    3) Now the two values will be stored in a container.
    4) now in Work item specify the name of the expression.
    That's hit.

  • What is Execution Count in User Level Analysis?

    Hi,
Can anyone through a light on that what is Execution Count Column means in User Level Analysis Report ,If it is the number of counts of the users execte the action then how we can discover or from when it counts the number of count ....??
is it count from the starting of the user using that tcode or action?

    Hi Pranjal,
Yes, Prashant is correct it counts from the first job run, but as it takes data from STAD, so the counting is actually as per the STAD data store setting.
So if STAD store data for 4 days and if you run job in today it will count from 17.05.2014, make sure you have this job running regularly, if you miss this job run for more days than the retention period of STAD data, you may miss execution count for those days.
    Hope this clears your query.

  • [Solved] wine: restricting execution to specific user/group safe?

From what I understand, the way of exploiting a bug in a browser and launching malware in the background won't work with wine as the malware injector calls "some.exe", not "wine some.exe". So using wine is safe unless the person is "dumb" enough to execute a windows executable from an untrusted source, right?
I have the following situation: there are two users, one should be able to execute windows programs, the other one (who recently got mislead by a "you need to update flash player" malware link -_-) should be unable to.
What I thought I'd do was to create a group, let's say, called "wine" and change the permissions on the wine executable(s) so that only users of this group get the executable right. Then add users to this group.
Is this safe? Is changing permissions on wine/wine64 enough, or should I also modify them for wine(64)-preloader? Or is there maybe a better way to do that?
edit: also, will the permissions be reset when pacman updates wine?

Ideally, I'd want the user to be able to only execute whitelisted wine programs, but from what I know it's not possible. It's mainly to guard against accidental execution of mal/adware, which happened a few times while this computer was running windows. My parents lack the technical knowledge to try and circumvent those measures, nor do they have a reason. This means they are only using the GUI and call me if something doesn't work. Would using an alias guard against double-clicking on a windows binary?
The reason I have wine at all is that I still need some windows programs on that PC, and the reason I switched to linux was to free up resources used up by the antivirus. So theoretically I could just launch the programs I need in a VM, but that would just negate any resource gains I got by installing linux...

  • Workitem donu00B4t see in user's inbox

    Hi all,
I have any workitem that the user don´t see in your inbox workplace but when i see trought swi2_freq in the log workflow the user as responsabilite and the picture in the inbox the this user.

    Hello,
Please make sure the user does not have a filter set in SBWP. You should also check if you use the BADI WF_BWP_SELECT_FILTER via SE18. Maybe the work items are being filtered.
If the work item was forwarded please take a look at Knowledge Based Article 1560336.

  • Workitem locked by a user

    Hello gurus
I have a doubt because in the WF i'm using in a certain task sometimes when I try to complete the task an error msg appears saying "Workitem XXXX is locked by user WF_BATCH". A condition in the WF is immediately after this task, so the info went to the wrong direction every time this happens. Any ideas?
    Regards IA.
    Armando Miranda

    Hello
Nope, nothing is being executed in parallel in that WF. Usually this happens when this user receives some requests in his UWL and try to solve them. The first one gives no problems but after that every task is locked.
We are writing to the container every time the user made a decision in the screen. In this case the user have 3 choices: "X". "Y" and "Z" with the values "0", "1" and "2". when the user choose "X" then a BAPI for writing a specific value in the container is executed and writes the "0" value, then the BAPI for WI completion and then the decision step takes the info and get everything in the "right" direction. But since the WI is locked, the value in the container is null, so the error comes.

  • TS20000189 Change trip - uwl workitem execution

    Hi there!
The standard workflow task TS20000189 Change Trip is used both for changing expenses AND for changing travel requests. In the standard configuration, when clicking a UWL workitem a transaction iView is opened. I want to configure this to open up a WebDynpro interface instead since that's what the users are used to.
However, the problem is - how to I make the task TS20000189 access the two different applications (sap.com/esstratre/Expenses or sap.com/esstratre/Request in WS20000040 and WS20000050 respectively) or alternatively - the two different portal pages? I can make it access the Expenses application through the xml file, but then the Request application wont open...
    Please help!
    Brgds, Caroline

    Hi,
Have you found any solution for this?

  • Workitem execution

    Hello everybody,
i have a problem with the UWL. LeaveRequest scenario.
The Approver of a LeaveRequest got his Workitem in his Inbox of the UWL. So far so good. But when he tries to execute the WI, the screens stays empty. The WebDynpro application 'LeaveRequestApprover'doesnt show up. Now i figured its a permission problem. Because when i assign this user the super_admin role at the portal, he can successfuly execute the WI and gets his LeaveRequest Approver application.
So the question is, is there a special role for executing WIs?
    regards,
    Markus

Got it working now. Had to assign the iViews for executing a Webdynpro Application from the UWL the suitable roles.

  • Order of execution of the user form

If for Active synch configuration there is one admin assigned who has a form say AdminForm. At the same time there is one Active syncuser form attached say ActiveSynchUser form. What will be the order of execution of the two forms.
Will the ActiveSynchUserForm gets evaluated first and then the user form attached to the admin or it is other way.

keep in mind that prcidence in this case means that BOTH forms are executed.
i believe the form assigned to the active sync is first..then the form assigned to the admin user is second.
i could be wrong on this as we dont use the admin forms for Active Sync. I have found them to be very limiting in your ability to fulfill requirements. You may wish to look into executing a workflow on each account instead of using the forms. Sun will reccommend using the forms, but again, I have found them to be extremely limiting in practice.
