Workitem processing at Modelled branch not working.

Hello,
i have created a step ( activity ), in which the latest end is given as 'Workitem item creation' and time is 1 Minute and its modelled to a outcome 'DEADLINE' and the step is activated for processing obselete in Outcomes tab.
In modelled outcome branch (DEADLINE), i have given a step Process control, where i set the main step as 'Set work item to Obselete' .
In the Processing obselete branch, I have created a new step( activity) . It is going through this new activity step and i am getting the workitem in my inbox. When i approve the workitem through my bussiness work place the workflow is going to the COMPLETED stage.
But at the same tme when i try to approve the work item through SWIA , it is going to the next step in the workflow. Kindly let me know why this is happening. i want the system to continue the flow not to set the status to COMPLETED when i approve from bussineess wokrplace.

It is the same workitem id at SBWP and SWIA.
You need to put they same approval step in deadline branch. This step should be similar to the subsequent step that occurs after approving maind workitem.
Is this mean i need to add ALL the steps in the deadline branch similar to the subsequent steps that occurs after the main workitem?.

- The creation of the media will be successful
- The application installation itself will be successful
Yet after the application is installed, it shows the correct process it needs to complete based on the return code in AppEnforce log, but does not process that information back to the the TS Manager so it appears to attempt to download a policy which fails
causing the task sequence to error out..

It is using the application model, since it is not attached to the domain it is on a workgroup. But it is on standalone media and not during a build and capture sequence, it is during an OSD. But alot of the same puzzle pieces fit. Basically pointing to
the new applications model not working during standalone OSD when the MP is not available. i would say that not enough information is getting encapsulated into the Application when exported onto the StandAlone media.

Confirmation process in SRM does not work whenever there is a discrepancy

we are on SRM 5.0 version with classic scenario(follow on documents in backed system - ECC 5.0). to procure maintainence service user cretes a shopping cart by selecting describe requirements method and UOM at times in incorrectly asssigned as EA so upon shopping cart approval a follow on ducument (purchase requistion) is created in ECC as per config set up(in SRM). Buyer while coverting this purchase requisition to PO rectifies this erroe and chages the UOM of meausre to Hr and send a PO to vendor.
we are not bale to use confirmation feature in SRM to perform receipt of this service. is this how system works? any configration or a BADI needs to be usd to allow to perform confirmation in SRM even tough there is discrepancy in shopping cart UOM and Purcahse requsition UOM.
when thre is change in UOM in ECC that Purchase

Branch not working

I have a button, a process and a branch.
The button is assigned to the process and the branch and it runs the process but not the branch.
does anyone have any idea why that might be?

what do you mean it was stopping at that message? Is the success message showing after the process?
The checkbox just determines if the success message is displayed after branching - and since its appearing, seems like the branch is working, right?

Deadline Branch not working

Hi All,
I configured a simple BPM scenario with a Block step with 3 braches namely
1. Normal Branch(one receive step with in infinite loop step).
2. dead line branch with 1 min timeout. within this a control step to throw exception
3. Exception branch with no Action(no steps inside this branch)
And Obviously there is a send step outside the block (For File system).
I am not using any mapping case or even a container operation for collecting message.
My intention is only to understand deadline branch.
I am sending data from HTTPClient. The message comes to BPM. Ideally after 1 min.deadline should get executed (the infine loop should break) and I should see a response in the File System.
But this is not happening. So I followed some previous threads in Forum and I found a solution(not automatic) to make this scenario working.

when I execute the above program in SE38 I am seeing a status message "'1' entries have been edited".
And Deadline monitor gets executed and I am getting response to my file system.
But this is not the solution I am looking for.

The BPM is not at all in error state. As I mentioned earlier when I am execting the report (>> Ran the program RSWWDHEX in foreground) I am able to get the ouput. I also followed SAP notes mentioned but they are not useful in my case.

As I said I am following standard pattern expect container operation (for appending messages as it is in infinite loop.).
So every time the message will be over written and when the loop breaks I will get last over written message which container variable hold.(Abstract interface for receive step).
So there is no container operation.

Process Data Creator ID not working

Hi All (and Paul)
I want to send an email to the process creator when a request has been approved. The best way to do this, it seems, is to use the "EmailService - Send with Document" activity. In the to field, I do not have the option of process creator, so I need to find that value and insert. I did the following:
1) used SetValue activity to assign /process_data/creator_id to a variable called strID
2) used UserManagerLookupService to query for user with strID in Universal ID filter box and assign result-User to a variable called creatorUser.
3) used SetValue activity to assign /process_data/creatorUser/object/@email to a variable called creatorEmail
4) used EmailService activity to send email to creatorEmail.
I recorded and played back my process after attempting and it successfully retrieves a universal ID from the creator_id variable, but the UserManagerLookupService returns null users. I have tried with a couple different end users submitting the form and it always comes up null. Is there something wrong wit creator_id?

I do in fact do assign it to a variable (stringUserID) and then assign it to the "Find User" service operation Universal ID in the filter. It fails there too.
Paul, I have not checked the AWS_Assigned_ID in the data stream. I do see a valid GUID assigned to stringUserID from the creator_ID. So, I guess I need to amend the title of this topic to "UserManagerLookupService.Find User not working".
In fact, I use this same activity in another process, a custom render process, that works just fine. I looked at the GUID for both processes during playback and they are identical. It works fine in the custom render. In this other process, I see an error "Variable: null not found". When I expand the details, I see "com.adobe.workflow.template.document.VariabeNotFoundException: Variable: null not found".
Am I missing something?

Process order settlement Ko88 not working.

i am getting a message:"There are no accrued amounts; settlement is not possible."
Following are the steps i cariried.
1.) created a Process order CR01
2.) did goods issue to the process order using MIGO_GI
3.) when i run KKAX I am able to the costs in WIP.
4.) but when i execute the ko88 for the particular process order systme is not settling any but instead giving me a message: "There are no accrued amounts; settlement is not possible."
5.) Could you please advise if I am missing any thing.

Please, check if you have run the settlement already for period that you wants to do the settle by path KO88 -> goto -> previous settlement or by extras -> activate flow trace at Ko88 to analysis the problem.
Please, also verify the SAP note 179533. This note has some informations regarding the problem.

By Oracle documentation when you set the "process ws-security header" in security section of a proxy service, the proxy service act as an active intermediary and consume the ws-security header received in inbound messages. This feature works fine when you call the proxy service using WS-Security Username Token Profile PasswordText, but when you send Username Token with PasswordDigest I got the following error: +"weblogic.xml.crypto.wss.WSSecurityException: Unable to validate identity assertions"+
I am using SoapUi to call the proxy with passwordDigest, WSS-Password Type option set to PasswordDigest.

Yes, but the flag "Process WS-Security header" needs to be set to 'No' and I included a delete node to remove the wsse:Security element from header. Attaching Auth.xml predefined policy to my request operation, causes OSB to include the policy directive in my WSDL, but the PasswordText(see below).
In Oracle security guide we have steps to configure PasswordDigest in the Oracle Service Bus Security Configuration using the WLS Console http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/security/model.html#wp1062542
My doubt is: Is this a bug? "Process WS-Security header" flag is supposed to work with PasswordDigest?

XPath processing with namespaces does not work. Please review my code..

Dear all,
I am working on with the IMS Group's Enterprise XML standard (http://www.imsproject.org/enterprise/) and need to retrieve member information using XPath.
After significant fault finding, I have narrowed down the problem to the XML file containing multiple namespaces in the root element. I have checked out some forum postings here and on Google (programmer's best friend) for possible solutions... namely the implementation of the my own NamespaceContext object. I have implemented and yet I am still not able to retrieve the data I want.
Could someone advise where I am going wrong?
When I remove the namespaces from the root element I can find out the number of member elements in the XML (just for testing atm). I could write a regular expression to remove the namespaces from my XML, but that's just dodgy..
Here's a sample XML:

Thank you for your quick reply. Much appreciated. I have implemented a NamespaceContext object that is able to set more than one prefix for a URI as you suggested.
It works when I remove the first namespace that is generated in the IMSProject Enterprise XML:
xmlns="http://www.imsproject.org/xsd/imsep_rootv1p01"
When I hack the XML and set a prefix for this ('default') namespace it works... For example:
xmlns:ims="http://www.imsproject.org/xsd/imsep_rootv1p01"
Is the NamespaceContext class supposed to handle for so called "default" namespaces (without needing to touch the XML)?
My method is performing the XPath query is below:

Webcam model PD0080 not working in WinXP

I have Video Blaster Webcam Go Model PD0080 part #30PD008000000 camera which I am trying to get to work on a new computer using WinXP. Unfortunately I don't have any installation CD's or user guides. I was able to find and download the documentation and the driver to work with WinXP. The computer recognizes the camera but I can not get images downloaded into the computer.
Looks like I might need the Webcam Go Control software which I don't have and don't see where to download it from.
What do I need to do to get this camera to work under WinXP?

Model Spy not working

I'm following the directions on http://www.vogella.com/tutorials/Eclipse4LiveModelEditor/article.html,
but when I press Shift+Alt+F9 nothing happens. I tried it on a very simple E4 application and on our 'real application', but nothing gives. Two questions: (1) are there any screen shots availabe of what I should see (2) are there any alternative ways of showing the model if the key combination above doesn't work ?

One month later I am was reading a different article (http://eclipsesource.com/blogs/2012/05/10/eclipse-4-final-sprint-part-1-the-e4-application-model/) by Jonas Helming but this issue is still the same. The Shift+Alt+F9 does nothing. I checked the hot key mappings and found the Shift+Alt+F9 combo listed as follows.
Name: Open a spy ()
Description: Open a spy in the E4 spy window
Binding: Open a spy in the E4 spy window
When: In Dialogs and Windows
Conflicts: (none listed)
Question 1) Being new to the Spy project, is this the correct forum? My search on the forums with the strings "e4ap, Eclipse4, Model Spy" only got this thread as a hit.
Question 2) Is there a bug report on this?
Question 3) Is the statementQuote: "You should not include the model spy in your exported application as it is only a test and debug tool. It is not intended to be used by end users." correct?
