Workitem should delete

Hi,
My requirement is like if one quotation has to approve from 2 level manager.if workitem is with 1st level manager and he is not responding for 24 hrs than the workitem should vanish from inbox, it should be forwarded to his next level within next 24 hrs.
Any idea how to achieve this.

Just search this forum with Processing Obsolete keyword and you will get your answer. You have to use modelled deadline to accomplish this task.

WorkItem getting deleted

Hi, I have created a workflow for PR release. Approver will get the PR in his SAP inbox, when he click on workitem, it will take him to ME54N, from where he can release the PR.
The problem I am facing is that, if approver dont perform any action in ME54N, simply come back by pressing the back button, without releasing it, the workItem is getting deleted from his inbox and workflow going to next step. My BO method that is associated with task responsible for that workitem is Dialog and Synchronous method.
I have also given one terminating event for this task, and raising this event at SAVE button of ME54N, so that pressing BACK button should not delete the Workitem.
Please suggest the possible cause of this problem. I want workitem only to get delete on SAVE button, not on Back Button.
If Approver is not releasing it and simply coming back the workitem should remain in his inbox, and workflow should not go to next step.

Hi,
You have to use Asynchronous method for requirements like these where you have standard SAP transactions doing the same job as your work item.
Change your method to synchronous. Also you can refer to WS000000038 workflow for reference as it does the same thing.
( Also do compare your terminating events ).

Any outdated Mac Programs on MacBook Pro '09 that I can or should delete to save space?

There are some Mac Programs that came with my late 2009 MacBook Pro that I **think** are outdated / unsupported and I am wondering if I can or should delete them to free up critical space. (I use my MacBook Pro for genealogy files and kids' photos and videos so I often get a critically low on space issue -
like down to 25GB or less out of 250GB).
Some programs I have never really used, but I hate to delete anything that came with the Mac that I might one day have a use for or want if I was to sell it or
trade it, but I think some programs are no longer supported.
Among these that I have questions on are iWork '09, iWeb that I think may no longer be supported. (Never used them anyway really - I have pages and Numbers that may be part of iWork, but I also have the Mac version of Office installed). I have 2 different versions of Pages. I think the old version
(which I had created some documents in) was the old purplish ink jar icon and the newer one looks like a piece of paper with a pencil or pen icon.
I have created files in the old version, but not the new version. Can I safely delete the old icon / app without affecting those old files?
I never used the old version of Numbers or Keynote, so I already deleted the old icons for those.
Others that I am not sure if I need or what came originally with the Mac vs. downloaded later (like from the app store) include:
Apple Script, ArcSoft Connect Suite, Automator, Dashboard, Dictionary, DVD Player, iDVD, iMovie, PanoramaMaker, PhotoBooth, Tech Tool Deluxe,
the Unarchiver, VirusBarrier Express.
GarageBand came with, but I have never used it. Hate to delete it unless I really can't afford it.
To my knowledge, I have never used any of those except perhaps DVD Player or iDVD, whichever one can or does play a movie unless it will play a movie
without either of those.
If any of the above are critical or recommended to keep either for proper functioning in general or to do certain recommended things (like play a DVD and I must have one of the DVD / movie ones in particular), then I need to know that as well as what I can safely delete without either significant issue or
shooting myself in the foot.
I mean, a Dictionary would be nice to have in theory, but probably not at the sacrifice of space because I usually just Google a word for the definition anyway.
Unarchiver is apparently an unzipper, but not sure I have ever used it unless it was seamless and not obvious. Does Mac have some internal unzipper utility
that could be unzipping my files behind the scenes without my being aware of it.
By the same token, if there are any others that I would / should have on my computer that are known to be useless (GameCenter?), please advise as well.
These are the kinds of things I need to know as well as what some of these are / do.

Workitem got deleted

Hi all,
We have a standard workflow implemented for Appropraition Request.
Issue is - there are 5 levels of approvers. first level approved and second level also got approved, but here the workitem got deleted (I dont know how it is got deleted). and the workflow is got stuck, i mean the workitem does not proceed further. So pls let me know how to proceed further, is there any solution.

Hi,
I did have problem before where the workflow got stuck due to server down, and it cause workflow does not proceed to next step. The solution is to run SWPC. You can give it a try.
If your work item is in error and you have fixed it, you can restart it using SWPR.

Workitem should not be deleted

Hi experts,
In my workflow scenario, I have to send mail to multiple agents, that working fine. My problem is, if any of the agents executes the workitem from his sap inbox, the mail get deleted from the inbox of all the agents, which should not happen. Only the agent who execute the workitem, mail should be deleted from his inbox only.
Can any one help me on this please??

Hi,
That is the standard behaviour of SAP Workitem. IF you want to keep teh workitem in his inbox then you should make use of Dynamic Parallel processing with a multiline container element which is availabel in the MIscellaneous tab,
All teh agents for whom you are sending the mail populate all teh user in a multiline container element and then assign this element in this field , once you do this a internal <CONATINER ELEMENT NAME>_LINE element will be created by the system, you assign this element in the Agents using EXPRESSION under control tab.
THis will dynamycally create parallel branches based on the number of agents populated in the mulitline container element. In this way you can make sure that the agents are having the workitem for each.

SAP inbox(SBWP) workitem should remains in INBOX

Dear Experts,
I have created a workflow. I want to forward its workitem to someone else. But when I open the task, workitem comes to the outbox; and outbox don't have the forward option.
My requirement is that; workflow should remains in the inbox when it is being opened and then user forward this workitem after displaying it and send to anyone as per his requirements using forward button.

When you click/open the work item, it gets completed. That's why it is in the outbox. Completed work items cannot be forwarded (basically nothing can be done for them anymore). Most likely your step/task has been built in a wrong way. I have no idea what your step is supposed to do, but in 99% cases, when you have a dialog step in a workflow, there is e.g. some button that need to be pressed in order to complete the work item - for example "Approve" or something like that (depending on what kind of workflow process you are dealing with). And if you don't press that button, the work item will stay in your inbox. Steps shouldn't be completed just by clicking/opening the work item.
You need to tell more details about your step. What is it doing (what happens when you click the work item)? Or perhaps you can share the code of the method that gets executed in the task?

Specific Workitems should not go to substitutes

Hi
We have developed some custom workflow which has some sensitive data.
If a user has maintained substitutes for himself the sensitive workflow should not be recived by substitutes.
We have a custom clasification for the tasks. we tried creating a profile & attaching the classification to the profile
but if the substitutionn profile is ALL the substitutes recieve the work items.
We have changed the task type from general to forwarding not allowed.
Any way we can stop substitutes recieveing the specific workitems ?

it sounds to me that the fact that it is working in development but not testing could be caused by development not being
configured correctly in some way and you believe it to be working.
on our system we implemented this scenario but were still open to substitute creators using ALL due to being lazy! we therefore implemented additional checks.
eg a generic decision task in our system uses sap standard transaction SWNWIEX. we had to create an enhancement
spot for this to do further authorisation checks to see if the user was really authorised and when they click on the workitem, it blocks them at that point. so, they can see it in their worklist but not execute it

Hi gurus,
While entering in CAT2 working hours is wrongly entered and approved it and saved. later on they found out it was wrong. Actually their are 4 line items, in one item should change the working hours. Is it possible? or we have to delete it.
Now it showing gray, how can we change the figures. if anybody faced the same problem please let me know the solutions

Hi
Once you release the time sheet, you can not change it. It will be in display mode.
One way is to ask your Manager to reject it, and then it will again come back to you for doing changes. At that time you can change.

UWL workitems not deleted

Hi,
not dealt with UWL workitems before.
Client has a PR WF in the system and workitems go to UWL for Approvals.
Instead of releasing the PR from UWL, the user has released it from ME54N.
So now, though the PR is released, it still shows workitems in UWL.
My question is are there any settings (in SAP, Portal) which could handle this, so that whenever user releases a PR thru ME54N, the workitem in UWL gets deleted.
Other question, now since the workitems (for which PR was released from ME54N) are there in UWL, what happens if the user again db-clicks the workitem, will it throw an error?
Last question, what can I do to remove those workitems for which PR was released from ME54N. How can I delete them.

Hi Aditya,
As Workitem behaviour is dependent on Status, set the Workitem status to complete using any one of the following FM
   SAP_WAPI_SET_WORKITEM_COMPLETD
   SAP_WAPI_WORKITEM_COMPLETE
   SWU_COMPLETE_R3F_WORKITEM
I dont know the exact one... so kindly check the Documentation of them and choose the best.
As far as i know second one would set the status to complete

Workitem should be in IC Agent Inbox but not in SBWP

Hi,
I have a scenario in which i am creating a workitem through program. This is creating a workitem and sending a mail to the user through ERMS. Now, this workitem is present both in the agent inbox (i.e ERMS) and also in SBWP.
Once the ERMS rule is executed a mail is sent to the user. But this mail is present at both agents inbox and in SBWP. If the user clicks it in sbwp , the workitem refreshs and disappear in SBWP and it is setting the status completed in the ERMS. I need this to be seen only in agents inbox.

I think the the workitem status completed in ERMS because of some terminating event trigger after you click on SBWP.

I have a Mac Air. It said my start up disk was almost full and to delete files. I did but am not sure of what all I should delete. Then the color wheel wouldn't stop spinning so I just closed it. Now it won't open up at all. What can I do?

I deleted files from my MacBook Air after it said my start up disk was almost full. It did several xs, then the color wheel wouldn't stop spinning, so I closed it. Then after a sufficient amount of time, I tried to start it up again, only now the Apple start up wheel just spins non stop and nothing else happens. Now i'm running out of GB and my iphone hasnt been backed up in weeks. if you go to 'settings - iCloud - storage and backup' and remove an old backup, it won't do anything to the current settings/information on your phone, it will only remove the backup.
