Hi,
I have developed a home page using the KM Document iview, which utilzes an html page in path to document.
Now, On this home page, I want to display the links of worksets.
Example: On Clicking the link--> Leave Management(a workset), it should open the leave management and its sub part iviews as Leave Cancel, Leave Status etc.
Is it possible to display them on the same screen when the user clicks them? If it is possible, how to go about it?
I tried using
http://<portalserver:port>/irj/index.html?NavigationTarget=ROLES://<pcd location>
in the html file, but on clicking this link, instead of the workset, the whole portal page is loaded in a sub-window.
I don't have the option of creating a custom overview page in the back end; that's why following this approach.
Any inputs on this would be helpful?

in an up-to-date version of TREX you have to change TREXIndexServer.ini:
[statistics]
trace = on
index = _trex:statistics
log_all
Restart TREX.
Within this index "_trex:statistics" all the index usage data will be stored.
You can use the text mining function for retrieving your desired information.
Launch the TREX Admin-Tool.
Goto Index: Mining.
Choose the index "_trex:statistics".
Open Query Editor by using button u201EBuild Queryu201C
In Query Editor enter query: function=search
Use button u201EOKu201C
Mark u201Eindexu201C and u201Equeryu201C from attribute list
Use button u201EShow Tableu201C
Use button u201EGet Datau201C
That's all.

Custom data service & bindings

Hi,
Let's assume I have two tables A and B.
I want to implement a custom data service method in table A on a row level (ViewRowImpl) which creates a new row in the table B. Right after the row creation I want to open up a dialog and edit the newly created row.
But, instead of editing the newly created row, my dialog opens up with the currently selected row from the jspx page.
I don't know how the inform my binding layer of a newly created row and to setup its currency to the new row.
I understand that I can not access the BindingContext from the custom data service (is this right?) but what would be the right solution?

maybe I misunderstood the ADF model concept.
Namely I try to push the data logic as much as possible into ADF Model (ViewRowImpl or AM) layer and expose it through as custom data service methods to the application. But when doing it this way, I need to access the binding layer in order to propagate the changes from the model layer. So when I create a new row in my data service methods, I want to be able to navigate the ADF binding iterator to exactly that row and not to any other row which is currently selected. The operation like first(), next(), execute() which are defined on the model layer are doing exactly the same thing.
Of course I can write my data operations in the ViewController layer with help of beans and DataControl operation; is this the preferred way how to do it?

Workset Map iview:A Workset Map is the equivalent of a site map, providing users with explicit information on the functionality that is available in a given workset. It is based on an iView, and serves as a central point of entry and guided access to the contents of a workset.

I found BAPI_CUSTOMER_CREATE and BAPI_VENDOR_CREATE but when i traying to execute , then control directly taking to XD01 and XK01 initial screen's .i need to create vendor and customer master data using BAPI(data will come from legacy system).
Other than these , is there any standard BAPI available .Pl tell me

I feel that Verizon has conducted and treated a long time customer in a predatory manner just to make a few dollars. I added a hotspot feature on my Iphone and its called a plan change. I wanted 1 gig and ended up with 4 gigs. If 1 gig was not available I was not informed. Plus the charge for the convertion to a new plan. I called today and I cancelled the plan so I 'm being charged another fee for the plan change. I have really enjoyed working with Verizon but I will have to start looking for another provider.

I am facing the below error when Manager clicks on the leave link under column 'Type Of Leave' . (please refer the below picture)

Siddharth's response and the SAP Note he mentioned were both very helpful. I received the exact same error message in a different scenario. While the fix was likely different than the one needed in this specific case, it occurs often in custom MSS and HR Admin roles and I hope this helps someone else out. In my case I needed to add the Pages shown below to my Workset and mark them as invisible.

Hi All,
We have portal ( SAP 7.01 SP3 patch level 3) as the front end for SRM 7.0 ,We have integrated SRM with portal through the system alias SAP_SRM.
When RFx Approver click on u201Cpermissionu201D button in u201CPurchasingu201D -> u201CSourcingu201D-> u201CRFx Numberu201D-> u201CDisplay RFxu201D he is able to see the permission iView where he can assign technical evaluators. But when same Approver click on u201CPermissionu201D button in u201CStrategic Purchasingu201D ->u201DWork Overviewu201D in Alert tab or Task tab( Display RFx page ) is throwing the following error:
"There is no iView available for system "SAP_SRM": object "Permission". For more information, contact your administrator."
I searched in SDN forum and got few solutions and did as they suggested but my problem not yet solved.
those are:
1.     Assign Target iView (Permission iView) in u201CNavigationu201D folder of respective Role (Strategic Purchase)
2.     Make sure system Alias name as SRM_SRM.
3.     Make sure user mapping status should be ok in System Alias Editor.
4.     Should add u201CEveryoneu201D group in permission editor of System Object and make sure select u201CEnduseru201D check box and u201Cadministratoru201D as Read or full control(I selected Full control).
5.     Add u201CEveryoneu201D group in permission editor of u201Ccoreu201D folder of SRM7.0 folder.
6.     Add u201CEveryoneu201D group in permission editor of u201CPermissionu201D business object.
7.     Check the target iViews in respective Business Object (in my case u201CPermissionu201D).
8.     I updated latest patches (patch level 9) as said in SAP note: 0001386141
Anybody knows solution for this problem please let me know. Encourage point will be given to useful postingu2026

I didnu2019t create any custom roles for RFx in Portal side and SRM side also; we are using standard roles provided by SAP. I checked all the iViews which are needed for the Role (in this case u201CStrategic Purchaseu201D role) those are existed in u201CNavigationu201D folder. Should I create custom role and have to assign required iViews to that to rectify this problem?

I would like to know what difference between Partner specific and globally available solution is? OurAdd-on will be available in all the countries including US. We are thinking of using B1 licensing mechanism instead of using ours. Which is best solution type u201CPartner Specificu201D or u201CGlobally Availableu201D to suit our needs? Which license type will protect our interests and allow us controlling that a customer may not be able to download licenses more than specified in agreement?

Without having a look in your system it is hard to say what can be the reason for that.
you have to know that the master data changes does not reflect automatically in inventory controlling.
I suggest you to set up the report RMCBNE32 as periodical (e.g. monthly) background job.
it also would be good to compare the walues in table S032 and MBEW for those materials. This also can be a reason for a difference. The values mus be the same on plant level.

But, you may check the same in to Transaction: J1ID
(Select "Customer excise Details" and Click View-icon). This will list out for all Customers.
Similarly, You may check for Vendors - "Vendor excise Details"

I have imported the business packages Common Parts 1.2 and Maintenance Technician 1.2 in our portal testsystem (nw7, sps18). after setting up a system with alias SAP_ECC_MANUFACTURING and asigning the role com.sap.pct.erp.maintech.maintenance_technician to my super admin user I can browse through the navigation of this role and all the iviews do what they are supposed to to (e.g. I can call the "Technical Structure View" and create a notification for an object out of the list)...
When assigning the role com.sap.pct.erp.maintech.maintenance_technician to a test user (with the roles and groups from a simple enduser), I get the following error when trying to create anotification (or doing anything else in the technical structure view): There is no iView available for system "SAP_ERP_Manufacturing": object "notification".
I have checked the permissions in all relevant areas of the PCD. Everywhere there are at least read permissions for everyone. Also I have copied the iView com.sap.pct.erp.common.notification_create to another place in the PCD and added it to the operation "create" of the Business Object "SAP_ERP_Manufacturing.notification" (with the highest priority). But that didn't change anything...
Well, I don't know what else I could do to find out what's wrong. I just hope anyone out there can help me out... )

sorry, but that's not the point. The system with alias "SAP_ECC_MANUFACTURING" is used to call the WD application in the R/3 backend system (which works out pretty fine). The WD application then calls back the portal using the object based navigation technology (OBN). In this case it calls the object SAP_ERP_Manufacturing.notification and tries to execute the iview linked to the action "create" of the object.
And here exactly is the problem that I'm facing. With the super admin user OBN works fine, with an enduser the OBN fails...

Portal error in SRM 7.0 -"There is no iView available for system "SAP_SRM"

We have portal ( SAP EP 7.0) as the front end for SRM 7.0 ,We have integrated SRM with portal through the system alias SAP_SRM.
With the PDP scenario the users are facing the below issue while they try to open any documents ( let it be RFx/contract).
"There is no iView available for system "SAP_SRM": object "cont". For more information, contact your administrator."
We installed the latest JRE (1.6.0.17) in the machine , but it didn't fix the problem. It appears to be a a lorcal issue with the settings in browser as some people ( very few) are able to open the documents.
Any pointers?
