Workshop SP2 crashes repeatadly (suspect CSS)!!!

Running SP2 on Windows XP and Workshop keeps crashing (when oppening a JSP for viewing i.e. design page). Suspect the problem either has to due with directives in the CSS or with the use of templates. Has anybody else had problems with CSS transformations or foreign text (i.e. swedish characters) flipping out Workshop?

  • Workshop 8.1 SP2 crashes when build webapp

    Hi,
    Help!
It keeps crashing when I try to build a webapp!
Anyone knows is there an error log that tells what happened?
    Thanks!
    Hai

    Raj,
I have since rolled back to SP1.
I will try SP2 now, and see if the problem still exists.
One possible reason it might be because of ClearCase view
    I used(local dynamic view).
Somehow generating a lot of files in .workshop directory
as view private files make the view corrupted.
    Thanks!

    Hello Hai,
Did you have any of the temporary files generated by Workshop open ?
    Can you
try a clean application and then build. Also can you verify that the
    both
the IDE and the server are on SP2 ?

  • CR XI R2 SP2 crashes on every paste or field addition

Yesterday I upgraded from CR XI to CR XI R2 SP2. Since then, it crashes ever time I:
    a. Paste anything
    b. Drag a field/formula, etc from the explorer onto the report.
This happens 100% of the time. That makes it impossible to do real productive work.
Using the wizards to create reports does work, but am unable to use new formulas, additional fields, or copy/paste anything.
If anyone has help for this, I would be ever grateful.

    Hi,
How you upgraded the CR - by just installing the CR XI R2 installation or you have followed the recommended steps (view this [thread|Integrating crystal report into the visual studio standard edition IDE; for upgrading process.
Also have you noticed any changes while installing CR XI R2 or the installation is interrupted any where?
    Its seems that it is the issue with CR designer? If so, please post to the Report Design [forum|SAP Crystal Reports;
    Thanks for your understanding.

  • Windows Vista SP2 crashes Creative Console Launcher.

I've erased my harddisc and reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium SP x64 and then upgrade it to the new SP2. After I've installed the updated driver to my Soundblaster X-fi Extrememusic and the updated softwares it crashes the Creative Console Launcher. This is what happens: I open the Creative Console Launcher and then I go to the Graphic Equalizer to change the EQ. After I have done that, I got a message like this: "Creative Console Launcher has stopped working and Windows must close it down". Is there any solutions for my problem
    hockey

I had a similar problem when installing Vista sp 2. What I did was remove all creative drivers and programs and reinstalled Daniel K.'s X-FI 2.0 package. My console launcher did the exact same thing, but I was using Creative's newest Console Launcher. When I reinstalled everything (which is included in the package) everything worked really well.
I sometimes switch between drivers included in Dan K.'s pack and the package with a final overlay of the newest Creative Labs driver.
    here is a link: Dan K 2.0 X-FI inclusi've driver pack/update

  • Workshop SP2 compiler bug?

ERROR: TransactionContext.java:170: This method attempts to override <error>
getTransactionContext() from ApplicationContext with a different return
    type.
I'm getting the above compiler error when trying to compile the following
two classes in Workshop running 8.1 SP2. The compiler error happens 99% of
the time with SP2. With SP1 it was only happening ocassionally. Please
notice in the error message the part that says "<error>". It seems as if
the IDE/Compiler cannot determine the return type - possibly because it
hasn't yet been compiled. (?) I believe this results in the IDE/Compiler
thinking that the return types are different.
This is existing code that has worked fine for years - I'm just trying to
    bring it into Workshop.
Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on?
    much thanks!

  • Installation of DS 4.2 SP2 crashed half way. Unable to start setup again.

    Hi all,
While installing the DS 4.2 SP2, it crashed half way during the installation (right before the web deployment).
Meaning now I can start the designer and logon to the cms but the web is not deployed yet so I am not able to go into the admin console.
So I have tried to go to Program and Features there to try for a repair but it fail. It shows error: " The installer detected there is a problem in the install manifest. You cannot proceed with the current installation. The problem may be caused by a previous installation operation that did not complete. Please run the installer again from the original media to resolve this problem."
OK fine, so I run the setup from the original media but it just wouldn't show up. I see in the task manager both "setup.exe" and "setupengine.exe" is there but nothing comes up.
Anyone know the solution please advise?
    Thanks you.

Add the management console URL to your browsers list of trusted sites.
Im running into an issue where the report export fails:
    14040
    10372
    RUN-248005
    6/10/2014 8:18:51 AM
There is no response for the web service <Export_DQReport>. Ensure that the network, web server, and service are running
    14040
    10372
    RUN-248005
    6/10/2014 8:18:51 AM
properly. Also ensure that the service client call time out is set properly.
Since the exports happen AFTER the job is complete, you cannot catch the error and it returns a good return code to the scheduler.

  • Slipstreamed XP SP2 crashes on install

I slipstreamed XP SP2 onto a CD and upon install I get this message...
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
    UNMOUNTABLEBOOTVOLUME
    Any suggestions?

Try booting again from the CD, then select the R option in the first menu and you will end up in the Recovery Console. A black screen where you will select your Windows installation and be asked for the administrator password.
    Then run:
    chkdsk
    or
    chkdsk /r
if you suspect you have bad sectors in your hard drive.
Then, reboot and let Windows Setup start again

  • Windows XP SP2 Crash at end of CD Burn

I have a home built PC running Windows XP SP2 with the following components:
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe Motherboard (latest bios)
    Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz Processor
    2 gig of DDR ram
Two Raid 0 arrays (1 for operating system, 1 for my files)
    Plextor PX-716-A CD/DVD drive
My problem occurs after downloading an album and burning it to CD. At the very end of the completion of the burn my PC just shuts off and reboots as if someone had pressed the "reset" button. No other programs cause this. The CD drive has the latest firmware. If I run itunes "run CD diagnostics" the same thing happens. I am using itunes 6.0.1. The send error report in windows takes me to a site that says either a program or a driver caused the problem but it does not know which one. I have run out of options to try. This seems to me to be an itunes software issue. At the very least it is certainly putting a damper on my wishes to use itunes to get my music. Anyone with real info input on this would be appreciated.

Thanks for help and suggestions. I simply wiped the slate clean so to speak and reloaded iTunes and QuickTime. Changed a few default settings and reloaded all the music back into iTunes. Had to reaffirm my id and password for the music I bought through iTunes music store but everything appears to be working properly. I am now able to burn CDs without the system rebooting. My system was already set for mini-dump so if the Apple engineers would like those files I can upload them for you.
However I'm still having a problem that I've had from day one. When I import a CD to iTunes the first song on each CD has a 2 second or so blank sound gap in it. All the songs after that are okay though, no blank sound gap. I import everything from my internal drives not my external burner.
    Once again appreciate the suggestions.

  • InDesign CS3 (XP SP2) crashes when placing files

    Hi,
every time I try to place an image file etc. into InDesign CS3 (Windows XP, service pack 2) the "place" dialogue pops up for a split second. Then, InDesign freezes. Version Cue is not activated (when I was activated Photoshop CS3 would do the same).
I'd be more than happy if someone has a hint since naturally InDesign is pretty useless when you cannot place anything. On a sidenote though you can drag files from the explorer into CS3 without it crashing.
    Any help's greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear the trick didn't work. Another oft mentioned idea is to open a dialog in Photoshop and resize it. A third is to hit Alt + Spacebar, then M, and then an arrow key, and finally to move the mouse around and see if the dialog appears at the edge of the screen.
The 3-key keyboard shortcut only works when you are opening InDesign from the start menu or a desktop shortcut, and you have to be REALLY fast. Renaming the prefs files (while ID is closed) is more reliable, but won't give you any indication that the files are being replaced, other than you'll see the welcome screen and everything will be reset to defaults.

I have tried on another server (not sure about SP) and also have crash.
How and where I should report it?

Your best bet is to open a support case with Microsoft. They will analyze the dump files and will provide you with resolution.

YOu can also check for known issues search for "c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" adn your sql server version.

  • Wls 6.1 sp2 crashes

Our server is crashing without a trace. There is no error in weblogic.log. No error in application log. Is there any suggestion as to how to capture some more information at run time? Would I be able to force a thread dump is the server is crashing? Thanks.

What platform is it on? How repeatable/reproducible is the problem? What
version of the JVM are you running on.
Without knowing the above, I would turn on verbosegc - at least, you will
see if heap was a problem (outOfMemory exceptions etc).
Did the outage create a core file (check ulimit -c) to see if you can create
    a core file.
If you are on a really old JVM, you might want to consider moving up.

  • WLS 6.1 sp2 crash - exception outside JVM

In the directory wlserver6.1 we get files named hs_err_pidNNN.log for each server
crash. Those files looks like this presented below. Any suggestion why we get
those crashes ? Maybe to low memory (512MB), or to high load. Is this bug can
be in our application or it is weblogic or jvm fault?
An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
    Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION occurred at PC=0x77fca927

Sounds like JVM bug, what is the JDK?
    cheers

  • My Safari 2.0 crashes - problems with css?

    Hi,
I have problem with a webpage I built (www.elpskatt.se) using css. When I try to go there with Safari it craches (unsuspectable fault..). I have tried everything, and thinks it has something to do with the way the webpage is built. Can someone help me?
It works perfect with Firefox, and even Explorer works quite fine. Where can I find info regarding Safari and problems with reading webpages?

  • My MacBook Pro crashes randomly - suspect HW failure

My MacBook Pro crashes randomly and the crash log always shows something wrong with CPUs 6 and 7. I have tried to run benchmarks to stress the CPUs but that doesn't do the trick. Compiling with Xcode seems to crash "cc1plus" task, sometimes it's the kernel_task, but the rest of the log is always pretty much the same. I have run the Apple hardware test and another memory test - no failure there.

I heard that there were some problems with a few of the 15 inch macbook pros that were made Mid-2010 and that you could get a new motherboard installed FOR FREE if it was bought around that time. is this true?
It's true. Mid 2010 15-inch MacBooks Pro came with a defective NVIDIA GPU that causes unexpected restarts, kernel panics, black screens... See > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088
From what you say, it's probable that the GPU has failed, so make a backup of your files with Time Machine and take your MacBook Pro to an Apple Store or reseller
