Workspace is blank

Hello,
I just download the latest sqldeveloper 1.5.5 with no jre because I already have jdk 1.5.0_19.Im using ubuntu jaunty. when launch sql developer it shows the "tip of the day" but when i close it, it is completely blank. Any ideas?

I downloaded the .tar.gz file and unzip it then the .sh file. when the sqldeveloper starts up it loads the splash screen and tip for the day. when i close it whole window is blank. how could that be/

Process Workspace is blank after login

Am using 11.1.1.6, when i login to the Process workspace I am getting a blank page, It used to work well before. The error I get in the console is as follows:

One thing you might want to look at is the engine's BPM_CUBE_PROCESS table. I've had null pointer exceptions when logging into the Workspace that was caused by a problem with this table's STATUS column.
To see if this might be your issue, log into the database as DEV_SOAINFRA and run this query:
select processId,processName,status from bpm_cube_process;This will return a list of the BPM Projects that the Workspace is looking for that are active. If the table thinks it is active, the status is 1. If it is not then the status is -1.
If this is a development environment, get on Enterprise Manager and undeploy all your BPM projects. Run the above SQL query again. Every row returned should have a -1 status. If you see a row that has a status set to "1" then you have an issue that can be fixed. Run an UPDATE SQL query against the row and change the status from "1" to "-1".
This is obviously something you would not want to do in a production environment, but if this is your development environment it is something you should look into.

My speedgrade workspace is blank and nothing is shown expect the buttons.

I got the following computer:
Supermicro 5036T-TB: Core i7, Xeon 3500/5500
ati radeon hd5770
with 16 gigabytes of RAM
I run a windows 8.1
When I open Speedgrade I see a blank workspace and nothing is shown expect the buttons. What can I do to fix this problem?

SpeedGrade has a very "minimalist" UI, very different from the other Adobe apps. It started and ran for several years as Iridas, which is why "native" Sg files are "ircp" ... for "irridas color projects" I think it was. I'd need to know exactly which Sg you're working with, but ...
This is what mine looks like when I open a "new" project ... it's the CC2014.1 "Caravan" version ...
Give a bit more info ... which version, opened by either direct on the Sg icon or Direct Link from PrPro, and ... please post a screen-grab. Windows in the "Accesory" folder ("Start" menu, "All Programs") has a little tool called the "Snipping Tool" which is very handy ... drag diagonally over the area you want to capture, save-as to your desktop then use the camera icon on here to post it.

Bridge workspace is blank - with files on the side. how can I find my thumbnail/normal view again?

My bridge workscreen view went from the usual view with thumbnails to a view showing all of the folders (under "content"). I'm having trouble retrieving the normal workspace view. Can anyone help?

My WorkSpace Displaying Blank on Launch of Existing Files

I have a 100+ iteration of a dashboard build that is now displaying blank everytime I launch the current version, prior version, one before that. Have rebooted computer, have navigating between Quick Views, nothing is getting it to show. When I choose Preview the layouts are visible but returning to the application does not bring up the display.
Could someone please provide guidance this is maddening...

Here is how to reset the user defined settings (window sizes, which windows are open) in the registry.
You should make a backup of your windows registry before making any changes...
1). Close Xcelsius down.
2). Run regedit. (Start > Run > regedit)
3). Navigate to and delete this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Business Objects\Xcelsius\Settings
4). Then start Xcelsius and you should be good to go again.
If in doubt, or your PC is locked down from making registry edits, ask the local IT support to do this.

Blank opening workspace

Anytime software I depend on exhibits a glitch on a regular basis, I get a little antsy that something may be wrong that'll develop into something worse. That's why I'm asking for help on this one.
When Premiere Elements 10 now opens, the workspace is blank -- no timeline, edit tools, playback viewer, etc. Nothing. The toolbar at the very top of the page is there but nothing else. Starting a new project doesn't bring everything into view. Only loading in a project will load all the tools, timeline, etc. as they should.
If I start a new project while an existing project is loaded, the new one has just the blank workspace. My workaround is to create a new project by taking an existing one, deleting what I don't want and then adding new project files and saving it under a new name. With the exception of the rendering of movie themes/Instantmovies failing to display all their content, the program seems to be working fine otherwise! (I have a separate thread about the missing themes content.)
Any idea on what's going wrong? Is this minor or a cause for alarm?
Would it make any difference that I'm using a portable hard drive to load and save projects?

With a Toshiba, I have a very bad feeling about the video display. Do you know the mfgr. of the graphics chip used, say nVidia? In Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager, you should be able to find out the chip mfgr., the model of the chip, and then the driver installed. That could be useful info.
If it is an ATI/AMD, or nVidia chip, then a 2009 driver is probably almost 30 versions out of date.
Now, my "bad feeling" comes from having owned a Toshiba Satellite w/ an nVidia chip (forget the model now), and Toshiba re-wrote the driver, so that the nVidia updated drivers would not install. In the five years that I used that laptop, Toshiba never issued an update, while nVidia had dozens of updates for that chip. I ended up having to "roll my own," and used this Web Site. About a year ago, just for grins, I checked with Toshiba, and four years after that computer was replaced, they had still never updated the driver. Lucky that I could download the nVidia drivers, and then tweak and re-wrap them, so that they would install on the Toshiba. I was horribly disappointed with Toshiba Support. I think that I still have three service questions open, and it's been over 8 years, with no response.

Workspace Installed but Blank

Help!!!!
I recently installed Hyperion version 11.1.2.1 and configured my products. My Shared Services is up and running, and so is my Essbase. But my Workspace is blank. When i go to the url, all i see is a blank blue screen with the file,menu,tools,the admin name and the logout options and an error message stating, "Required application module biee.dashboards is not configured. Description: Invalid or could not find module configuration 'biee.dashboards'."
I have re-installed and reconfigured twice already and i don't want to configure the rest of my products while i'm encountering a problem so i'm in a bit of a rut. Someone suggested there is an issue with the file " \Foundation\Workspace\data\root\CoporateWorkspacePages". This file is present but its still not being picked up by Workspace.
Please help, i have a deadline for solving this issue before moving on with the configuration of the rest of my products.

windows 2005? have you checked the logs to make sure the services have started up without any problems.
did you configure the foundation web server as the last piece in all the configuration.
also IE9 is not supported unless you get the latest patches for 11.1.2.1

PDF Preview kicks out to Acrobat 7 and Body Pages goes blank

Two problems, and I suspect they are related...
I just purchased and installed Acrobat 7 Professional with Adobe Designer.
FIRST--The PDF Preview in Designer automatically kicks the preview out to Acrobat 7 and does not preview in Designer. Why???
SECOND--When I click back to Body Pages, for no reason after a little while the workspace goes blank (back to sheer white). It takes about 5 seconds for that to happen--and it happens inconsistently. It seems strange.
Can anyone help???

It's a rare thing indeed when you can answer your own posts.
I did a "detect and repair" in Acrobat 7.0 Professional, which seemed to fix the problem.
I had loaded Acrobat Reader 7 after the initial install of Acrobat 7.0 Professional, and am wondering if that didn't cause the problem somehow.
Anyway, if anyone else has this problem, you might want to try the "detect and repair."
Let's hope the problem is fixed for good. :-)

Unable to download SmartView from Workspace.

Hi ,
I am not able to download the SmartView from the Workspace. If I select Tools => Download => SmartView from Workspace , getting blank internet explorer. I am using IE 7 browser and have verified the security settings as follows.
1. Workspace and blank page is part of trusted site in Browser.
2. Automatic prompting for file downloads and File download options are set to Enable.
Hyperion EPM 11.1.1.3 workspace and HSS are installed on Windows 2003R2 (32 bit).
Please help to resolve the isssue.

Are you receiving any error messages? Are you using Apache (port 19000) or IIS (port 80) as your web server?
If you try to use Firefox any different results?

Output panel blank in Bridge 4.0.5.11 (Mac 10.8.3) after installing ContactSheetII

I wanted to export a PDF with image sizes as well as file names and this hasn't been available for a while so, I installed 'ContactSheetII' and now the 'Output' workspace is blank. No PDF options at all.

Hi. After an afternoon of getting super pissed, i finally figured it out. I'm on a mac, Yosemite, cc 2014. I downloaded the zipfile and unzipped and copied the one folder into the correct library ( I checked, twice.) and put a copy of the .workspace file intot he workspace folder. however, I was copying the WRONG FOLDER. I was putting the first folder called: AOM_Mac into the Macintosh HD ▸ Library ▸ Application Support ▸ Adobe ▸ Bridge CC Extensions, and the correct folder is INSIDE that. the one that they do indeed say to move, called Adobe Output Module.
That's what I get for skimming and trying to get it done fast.. pfft.. deadlines...
Anyway, I got stuck on thinking i had the wrong folder locations, etc.. but here i had the wrong folder.
Hope this helps at least one other person. Good luck!

CS6 Photoshop Update blacking out my workspace!!!

Someone help me--I am VERY busy as this is wedding season--I have THOUSANDS OF IMAGES and now Photoshop is blacking out whenever I make a selection. The navigation screen still shows the image but the workspace goes blank till I click on it--which undo's the selection!!! Everthing was fine till this morning when I was told there was an update--I want to back in time : (

Flash cs4 nothing visible in library or stage but can see it in swf

I'm not sure what I've done - symbols, graphics, text are visible in swf but not on stage in workspace or in library. I wonder if I've accidentally reset something. I was trying to import an .ai graphic into a flash cs4 file when this first happened - the graphic was not visible in the workspace but could be seen in swf. Now I can't see anything in any flash file I open even ones that have been fine previously. Just blank workspace and blank library window when select symbols in library. If I try to draw something, or insert text, it disappears as soon as I switch to selection tool but is visible if I look at the swf (control enter). Please help - much appreciated!
The project window is just a white blank square in the developer workspace too.

Thanks for the advice. But what I didn't make clear was that I can't use Flash at all now because nothing is visible in ANY file I open. The symbol names can be seen in the library but there is no image in the library window and no image visible if I open a symbol from the library. This is true in every single flash file I have. This has all happened since I tried to open the .ai file which had CMYK elements so I thought this was why that graphic was not visible. The problem is that now nothing is visible in ANY .fla file, even ones that worked fine a few days ago. Also projects are not visible in the project window which is just a white blank. If I open a new file and type text in, it is only visible as long as the text tool is selected. If I deselect the text tool, the text disappears. If I draw a rectangle, it is only visible while the rectangle tool is selected. If I deselect the rectangle tool the rectangle I have drawn disappears. However, both text and rectangle are visible in the swf. I thought maybe I had accidentally changed some setting. I have tried pressing Ctrl Alt Shift while opening flash to reset defaults but this didn't make a difference.

Multiple Pop-ups while saving composite data form with rules attached

When we open Hyperion Planning from Workspace, and click “Save” on the composite Web Form , the business rules attached to the Web Forms execute as they are set to “Run on Save”. As the rules execute, in Workspace a blank “pop-up” window comes up. The issue we have is that if we have 3 rules attached we get 3 pop-ups and if we have a composite Web Form created using tabs functionality, and if we click Save on one tab, we get a large number of pop-ups as if the rules of ALL tabs ran even though we clicked save on one tab. For example on a composite Web Form with 4 tabs we may get 12 pop-ups. This issue only occurs when opening planning from Workspace.

LR5 (Mac OS X 10.7.5): Fails when opening catalogs.

Upon opening any catalog or creating a new catalog, LR5 fails with the the message: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules." The workspace is blank. Clicking on any of the module buttons causes another of the same error message to be displayed.

Thanks for pointing me to that KB article, although, it only helped me find out what the problem was, not actually give me a solution. I had to go all the way to Solution 6 to get LR running again, albeit, without any of my presets. It did make me realize that the ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom folder was the problem. Somehow the folder had become corrupted. Where sub-folders had been aliases were found. Somehow the folder had been corrupted sometime early yesterday morning while LR was still running. It wasn't until today when I restarted LR that the problem showed up. I restored the folder and sub-folders with Time Machine and all is well.

CS3 and CS2 Project import

I've read a number of references to problems with former projects importing into CS4. I too thought I had a big problem when I imported a project to CS4 and the workspace was blank. Once I discovered the new feature in the Workspace: "Import Workspace from Project", UNCHECKED it, and selected an existing CS4 workspace - there was no problem.
So far, all of my projects have imported just fine.
