Workspace is not open in EPM 11.1.1.3

i'm using EPM 11.1.1.3 on windows 2003 server
i'm able to open EAS and shared service console , Planning (using url)
but i'm not able to open Workspace .

Login to Shared services
Click Administration-->Recover Native Directory
Restart the Shared services and workspace service.
Now login to Workspace Console.

1. Did you use IIS to deploy .
2. In that case, go to IIS manager and try to right click on 'workspace' folder -> browse.
3. Is it by any chance on 64 bit env?

Application library/dimension library not opening in EPM 11.1.2.1

Hi,
Ive installed essbase and planning 11.1.2.1 64 bit on windows xp 64 bit machine. Installed all the components as specified in the instalation documentation. But EPMA server doesnt start.
I was able to log in to workspace and create an application, but application library failed to open. Also dimension library. Is it got something to do with EPMA server.
How to start this server, any additional components to be installed? apart from the regural components to be installed for planning.

I would stick with a supported OS. Windows Server 2003/2008 are generally your best bet for avoiding headaches.
You might check the Windows Event Viewer for additional information on your error if you choose to continue down the unsupported path.

The problem is in the configuration of Internet Explorer on the server.
The settings to configure IE8 is on the article Internet Explorer (IE7, IE8 and IE9) Recommended Settings for Oracle Hyperion Products (Doc ID 820892.1).

I have just installed PSE 8, but the Editor workspace will not open.

I unistalled the software and reinstalled but the problem still exists. Any ideas on what I c
an do?

Nothing seems to work!! PSE 8 is supposed to be plug and play without having to mess with anything, get tech support or waste my time. Why then have I spent 3 evenings trying to make it work? I called Wal Mart who have a no refund policy on software. I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS NONSENSE!!!

Workspace webapp does not open up after upgrade to EPM11.1.2.2

Hi All, After upgrading EPM11.1.2.1 to 11.1.2.2 the Workspace does not open up on IE8/9. Note that HSS works fine.

Before the upgrade it, HSS+Workspace+EAS+APS used to run on OHS. I have now configured all the managed servers to run on Embedded WebLogic server, so we are no longer using the 19000 OHS (web server) port.
I try to access Workspace from port 28080 as follows: http://foundation-server.company.com:28080/workspace/index.jsp
I have successfully used the same EPM11.1.2.2 upgrade configuration in DEV and QA and workspace opens up on 28080 (though there are issues with it running on IE9.. but that seems to be an isolated issue). So I will look for duplicate Workspace entries in the registry report ..

EPM Modules not opening in Hyperion 9 planning workspace

Our problem is relating EPM, we did Hyperion 9.3 installation on a test server and made replicas of 2 live applications but the deploy aborted at 0%. Assuming it was some configuration problem we reinstalled Hyperion but this time we could not open EPM application library, dimension library, job console etc. We got the following error:

We raised an SR and searched the forum and the issue was pointed to the IIS, but we checked it and cannot find anything out of the ordinary there. If anyone has any ideas, help would be appreciated, we're in a pickle =(

I am not sure of exactly which settings were changed because a number of changes were made by Oracle Support themselves, but the documented steps are as follows.
In our IIS Manager under servername the websites expanded to 'Hyperion' which was our hyperion virtual directory. As per System 9 Installation and Configuration Guide, we need to have EPMA connection pools and Virtual Directories as "hyperion-bpma-server" so they first stopped EPMA services then:
1. Reconfigured EPMA using Configuration utility.
2. Altered the connection pool and Virtual Directories as hyperion-bpma-server
- Our application pool only had DefaultAppPool, so a new pool was created as 'bpma' > 'hyperion-bpma-server'
- The 'Hyperion' virtual directory was deleted, new website was create as 'Default Web Site' with C:\Inetpub\wwwroot as local path. Under 'Default Web Site' a new virtual directory was made as 'hyperion-bpma-server' with local path C:\Hyperion\BPMA\AppServer\DimensionServer\WebService and selected 'bpma' as its application pool.
3. Configured virtual directory settings.
4. Copied bin & temp folders from our Production EPMA server path C:\Hyperion\BPMA\AppServer\DimensionServer\WebService, since these folders did not exist in our test server.
5. Restarted IIS
6. Restarted Web Server(Apache)
7. Started the EPMA Services.
Logged into Workspace and Application Library and Dimension Library were accessible, and we successfully created and deployed our applications.

I have installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 in single server environment (MS 2008 Server R2) with following components:
* Foundation Services
* HFM
* FDM
Have used embedded Weblogic server as application web server and Oracle HTTP server as web server. The installation was successful.
While configuration,
1) I selected the option to deploy web applications SharedServices and Workspace to a single managed server. The applications got successfully deployed to EPMServer0.
2) Also, I selected to configure Oracle HTTP server as web server.
Both these steps were successful.
But SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working. Getting 404 error.
SharedServices : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/interop/index.jsp
Workspace : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/workspace/
When I checked Weblogic admin console, EPMServer0 is in SHUTDOWN state, tried to start it but it goes in ADMIN state instead of RUNNING.
Checked EPMServer0 log at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given at the end of this message.
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this.

Hi John,
today's update:
* Uninstalled EPM system V11.1.2.2 completely and after rebooting the server installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 again.
* During configuration, deployed SharedServices and Workspace to single managed server EPMServer0 on Weblogic server and configured to Oracle HTTP server as web server. Configuration seems successful.
* Started EPM system.
* checked Weblogic admin console - EPMServer0 goes into ADMIN state from STARTING.
* Checked EPMServer0 logs at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given below:

Bridge cc will not open after trying to add patch aom package (adobe output module) to workspace

bridge cc will not open after trying to add patch aom package (adobe output module) to workspace. this patch was recommended by adobe help to allow creating pdf presentations. the help stated bridge cc was shipped without this and to download aom package win 64. I tried that, and either did something wrong or? I deleted bridge cc 64 bit, then went to cc and downloaded bridge cc (not sure if it is 32 or 64) and the program still does not open. any ideas?

Hyperion Planning Not Opening Through Workspace

Hi ,
We are facing problem in opening the EPMA planning application through workspace. After login into the workspace when we open planning application it is just getting hang and after so long time we get below message

Loading the Module 'HyperionPlanning.planning' failed.
The Operation was times out.
===================================
Restarting the Hyperion services does not resolved the issue.
We can login to the shared service , workspace and other Hyperion modules , however Hyperion Planning is not working.
Could you please advice where would be the problem and How I should go ahead to resolve this issue

Planning application not opening in workspace

HI
I have installed essbase 9.3.1(EAS,essbase, plannig, reporting and analysis)
I have created sample planning application in Planning web, but I could not open it in workspace.
I can see the application name
Navigate->application->planning application-> applicstion name
I have done all the config tasks.
I can't open classic application adminstrion through workspace,
(I can login to workspcase).
Getting the following warning
Warning: Please make sure that Application is registedred with Shared services, make sure shared services running.
Please open workspace after some time.
But I did registed reporting with shared services, given admin previleges to planing application.
Experts please help.

Hi,
I have seen this sort of issue when there is not enough resources, what sort of system are you running Hyperion on.
You should be able to access planning directly through http://<planning machine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/ and to create apps http://<planning machine>:8300/HyperionPlanning/AppWizard.jsp

EPMA workspace does not show Planning Application Wizard

Hi ,
I am beginner of EPMA,and faced a serious problem.I could not move forward as EPMA workspace does not show " *Navigate | Administrator| Application Wizard| Classic Administrator* .
And also when tries to open Application Library got the following error message.

Please help me out .

I still not sure which EPM version you are referring to but are you sure the console was installed, for 11.1.2.x it should usually be under <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>\EPMSystem11R1\products\Essbase\eas\console\bin
If EPMA has definitely been configured and the web server run as the last part then maybe the user you are logging in with does not have the correct roles assigned in Shared Services.

After clicking the stands ".... only the workspace is loaded", but nothing happens.
