Workspace issue in EPM 11.1.2.1

Hello Experts,
I have an issue in EPM 11.1.2.1 workspace.I have epm 11.1.2.1 windows 2003 server 32 bit,sql server 2005.I have installed HFM,FDQM,ESSBASE AND Planning
While I am registering the HFM application it is throwing error like
Invalid or could not find module configuration
Required application module hfm.appcontainer is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
When accessing Workspace > Navigate > Application > Consolidation, 'Consolidation' is shown with a $ symbol ( $Consolidation). It is possible to acces the HFM application using HFM Desktop Client.
In EPM Diagnostic validation report the following error message appears:
WARNING WSVR: HFM WebServer FINANCIAL_MANAGEMENT_WEB_APP was found in registry under different host.
HFMWebServer startup... failed..
It is urgent please give me a perfect navigation solution.

I didn't install performance management architecture, but I installed workspace, however, when I want to open the default workspace URL(http://localhost:80/workspace), a screen pop up and let me save the unrecognized file instead of popping up a login screen?What could be the reson I get this error. 1. No, workspace works without EPM too.
2. Any more information in logs or so would be helpful to resolve your issue. But, you can defintely install workspace without installing performance management architect.

EPM 11.1.2 Workspace issue

I have Reporting and Analysis admin privileges in EPM 11.1.2, but I still cannot see a "Physical Resources" menu item in Workspace. I am looking under Navigate->Administer->Reporting_and_Analysis. I am looking for Physical Resources in order to create an output directory for sending FR PDF documents to.. I have already posted this in Hyperion Query and Reporting forum, but no response yet there.

Hyperion Workspace issue - Scrollbar Missing on Workspace 11.1.2.0.00

Hi EPM Experts,
I am having problems with the Workspaces scrollbars. They are vanishing without no reason.
Only temporary resolution is to restart the services, but it is recurring issue.
Any hints to FIX this issue will be highly appreciated.

Can you see the calculation manager service in services.msc, have you checked the logs under Oracle\Middleware\User_Projects\epmSystem1\dignostics\logs and\services?
I should have tried redeploying CalcManager and checked the configuration logs.

BPF Workspace context overrides EPM report Context

Hi Experts,
I am encountering a strange issue, where I am unable to refresh the report for a different context member. For example I have access to two entities A and B and the workspace context in BPF shows A.
Scenario1
1) Open the BPF Activity(with workspace context set to entity A).
2) Report opens with the entity selection as A.
3) When I try to change the entity A to B (in Epmselectmember) and refresh, the report rollsback to entity selection A and refreshes for Entity A.
Scenario 2
1) Open the BPF Activity(with workspace context set to entity A).
2) Change the context to B in workspace context. (refer to screenshot1)
3) Open the report, refresh the report refreshes the data for entity B. (means i have access to the member B as well)
4) Again if I try to change from B to A in the report , it is defaulted again to entity B.
So what ever the context is in the workspace context that is overriden on the report context and doesn't allow to change. Context defined in hyperlinks

This is how it should work. If there is a need to change the value of a dimension then context should not be set in BPF.
It looks like your design is wrong here.
While designing BPF, you need to identify the context dimensions and driving dimensions. These are the dimensions, which will be set from the BPF & Activity. Rest of the dimensions can be changed by user through EPM Context.

If it has never worked then :-
Run the configurator again, select foundation > workspace > configure web server
Restart the workspace / financial reporting services.

CS3 DW Workspace Issues

I just upgraded from Dreamweaver Studio 8 to CS3. I'm not a
happy camper. I really don't see the advantages to this upgrade and
in fact I've been running into many stability issues.
Was wondering if anyone else is experiencing workspace screen
refresh issues. For example: moving cursor will reveal the
background color, changing a link style sheet does not update the
screen in the workspace, etc. Even doing a screen refresh does not
solve the issues.
I went back to using Dreamweaver 8 and these issues are not
in that version.

Issues in EPM Add-in after installing MS Updates

Hi,
We have acknowledged of BPC EPM add-in problems after some MS Office updates. What we know so far is that this error occurs on BPC 10 NW version and it was delivered an SAP Note (2107965) with resolution/workarounds. On our system we have BPC 10 MS version.
What we would like to know is if this issue also occurs on Microsoft version or is exclusive to Netweaver version.
Do you have any information on this?

As Arnold has confirmed, this issue impacts BPC NW, BPC MS and SAP Financial Consolidation as all three of these products use the same EPM Add-in front end.

Weblogic 9.2 MP3 Issue with EPM System 11.1.1.3

Hi,
I am currently running into issues when trying to configure Shared Services via the EPM System Configurator 11.1.1.3. I've installed Weblogic 9.3 MP3 with all of the default options (including establishing Node Manager as a service). I've also created a seperate userId in Weblogic called hyperion (with the password of hyperion) so that EPM can access the instance against the default web server.
When I run the configurator to try and deploy to application server, the status sits there on the "Starting WebLogic 9 Admin Servers" and does nothing.
Sometimes is does get past that but then the deployment fails because it is unable to deply the interop.war.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm 100% stuck!

Low performance issue with EPM Add-in SP16 using Office Excel 2010

We are having low performance issues using the EPM Excel Add-in SP16 with Excel 2010 and Windows 7
The same reports using Excel 2007 (Windows 7 or XP) run OK

Solved. It's a known issue. The solution, as provided by SAP Support is:
Dear Customer,
This problem may relate to a known issue, which happens on EPM Add-in
with Excel 2010 when zoom is NOT 100%.
to verify this, could please please try to set the zoom to 100% for
your EPM report in question. and observe if refreshing performance is
recovered?.
Quite annoying, isn't it?

Issues using EPM Add- in for Excel

Hello everybody,
I have installed the EPM add-in for Excel 2010 in one of my client computers, but we're facing two different issues in this machine:
1. Everytime he opens Excel the EPM add-in is disabled so he has to activate it each time he wants to use BPC.
2. When he opens an activity from the BPF that is related to a Excel file it does nothing (this BPF works fine in other computers)
I don't know if both issues are related but any ideas of why this could be happenning and how to solve them are welcome.

Which version of excel are you using?
.net 3.5 or .net 4 version of epm add in?
maybe try the latest release, which is SP21 patch 1.

Painting Workspace issue

We are using Photoshop CS5 on macbookpros running snow leapard and recently we have noticed an odd issue. When we start up photoshop the Painting workspace tab (on the top where the control panel and application bar are) is momentarily corrupted, scrambled, and pixelated (a bunch of different colored scrambled pixels--looks like a corrupt image). Eventually, a clear painting workspace tab loads but it takes a while. Is this normal?
The other things we noticed is that this only happens when we switch to the painting workspace or when we start photoshop with the painting workspace loaded as the default. It does not happen when the other workspaces (design, photography, etc. are loaded).
We also tried deleting the preferences files and rebuilding them but this did not fix the problem. Just wondering if this is normal thing or if there is some kind of file corruption or something wrong with the program.

The Software Details:
OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard
Photoshop CS5
After doing research I am not sure if this issue is caused by:
1. upgrading the drivers of the graphics cards
2. upgrading photoshop to the 12.04 update
3. upgrading OSX snow Leopard to 10.6.5
I basically have to do this on multiple computers so I am trying to pinpoint the cause so that I don't cause stress or work delays for others.

CS6 Workspace Issue

I recently installed CS6 on my PC. (I had been using CS5 and it still has CS5 installed as well.) The issue is that every time I open or start a project, my customized workspace is messed up. All the panels just cluster on top of each other in the middle of the screen. I have to rearrange the entire workspace and resave it. This happens every time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Planning Login issue And EPM windows services error

Hi All,
I require help from you guys. I have couple of issues while installing Hyperion 9.3.1 on a sandbox.
(which is a win2003 SP2)
Issue1: I have Installed all the applications as mentioned in the Hyperion Documentation. In windows services
I can't able to start the following services.
-> Hyperion S9 EPM Architecht process Manager
-> Hyperion S9 EPM Architecht job Manager
-> Hyperion S9 EPM Architecht Event Manager
-> Hyperion S9 EPM Architecht Engine Manager
Though i could able to start the two other services( Web ATS5 and Data Synchonization ATS5) successfully.
Error I am getting is like ::: some services stop automatically if they dont have work to do.................
Issue2 : I could be able to login to Hyperion Appwizard page. when i completed the steps of creating the Application,
i clicked Finish button. Its displaying error like Error in processing the page please check log for details.
Please help me to resolve these issue. IF you ever had faced any of these.

Meeting workspace issues

I have created a meeting workspace from a recurring calendar event in Sharepoint 2013. Everything seems to be working; however, when I enter the workspace and try to click on a different date in the left navigation, I get a "404 not found" and
that's it.
When I navigate to each individual date directly from its event on the calendar, everything works fine, but when I try to navigate between dates the issue occurs.
I've realized that this problem stems from an incorrect URL - when I click on a different date, the word "undefined" appears in the URL, rather than "default". If you change the words, the link works correctly.
Why could I be getting this error, and how can I resolve it? Thank you very much!

Open the meeting workspace in SharePoint Designer, click on “Master Pages” and open the custom master page (MWSDefault..). Click on “Edit File” and look for the following “Meetings” tag prefix. If it’s not there, add the following line:
<%@ Register Tagprefix="Meetings" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Meetings" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %>
Also add the following line directly after the the opening <body> tag:
<Meetings:PropertyBag runat="server"/>
Save the master page and try again.
