Workspace Issue.....

Question

Ultra-Dev, DW5, DWMX were all great, and very efficient, in
the sense that Workspace could be reverted to the Classic Workspace
View, i.e., Program Opens >> 2 Windows Open (Local View &
Remote View) >> Page could be selected and, it opened in a
full window.
As various functions were needed (Properties, Create
Recordset, Server Behaviour, etc.), these windows could be opened
and they floated or got hidden as needed in the development
process.
Simple, uncluttered and, very efficient.....
Dreamweaver 8 and its array of endless convoluted options,
despite having tried many working layout views, all seem to become
eventually locked to one or another sooner or later. Navigating in
this mess is totally counter-productive and the time spent trying
to get a simple open, full-screen view of the page I'm working on,
and having just the options I want NOT-LOCKED or ANCHORED to
something, is next to impossible.
Althought I've asked before, isn't there a simple way to get
back to the Classic Workspace that was prevelant in the models
mentioned above? DW8 in its present layout and management, as I
perceive the methods to use various options, is totally useless.

I'm not sure why you would want all those panels all over
your page . to me,
that was a mess! But you can pull any of the side panels and
they will
undock .. you can save your own workspace also though I have
never tried to
save an undocked one! :)
btw .. you can undock and close panels you wouldn't use ..
group what you
want with others and keep only those open that you need. You
can also click
on the arrow thing in the middle of the panel set to close
the whole set for
page viewing .. did you know that?
