WorkSpace problem

I now have CS6 and it has the same problem all the earlier versions of premiere had no mater what I do every time I open a project it opens in the color corrector workspace. I change it to my custom editing WS or any other default, save the project, close the project close premiere re open and I am back to the color corrector.
Anyone have a fix?

Have you by any chance, assigned a different target for MY DOCUMENTS? I previously had a problem in that my workspaces were not being saved after I quit a session with Premiero Pro. What I finally realized that Premiere Pro was saving the preferences to the standard target for MY DOCUMENTS rather than the target I had established. (I wanted all my created files to go to a NAS that backed up the files via RAID.) The behavior suggested that Premiere Pro had been hardcoded to C:\users\documents etc, etc.
Restoring the default target restored proper Premiere operation. I created a separate NAS folder MYDOCS and manually use that folder in lieu of MY DOCUMENTS

SharePoint Foundation 2010 Workspace problem

I've installed sharepoint foundation 2010 in a Windows server 2008 R2 standard environment. I've added some site collections and added some libraries to the site pages. Ive put in various permissions and groups and tested no problem using
Sharepoint workspace 2010 on a Windows 7 32 bit client.
But when I do a remote desktop connection to another server with 2008 R2 standard installed I can't get Sharepoint workspace 2010 to work properly. It opens an account and connects to my sharepont site but in the pane to the right where I would normally
see library documents listed all that comes up is an error stating - Error: Cannot Display Tool.
Also if I try to sync I get the following error:-
The parameter is incorrect
HResult: 0x80070057 (0x386d7565)
Process: Groove.exe (ID:17936(0x00004610))
No amount of googling has found a solution, no similar postings had any resolutions.
Any help would be much appreciated

My apologies. I'd focused on the error and hadn't adequately read the information you provided on the environment. The issue is probably with using SharePoint Workspace on the remote computer, not with SharePoint Foundation.
Here is what I understand you to be doing:
You use Remote Desktop to connect to the Windows Server 2008 R2 computer, where you log in with your domain account, which is a member of the local Users group.
On the remote computer, you start SharePoint Workspace.
On the Launchbar, you click New, click SharePoint Workspace, select your site, and then click
OK.
The workspace is created and appears (from the progress bar) to download content.
When you click Open Workspace, no content is displayed. Instead, you see the "Cannot Display Tool" error.
Is that correct?
There are three areas where SharePoint Workspace is complicated to run remotely:
Where SharePoint Workspace will be run by a user other than the one installing it, it must not be lauched during the installation. This seems the most likely to be the issue, as we have seen the same failure and error at a customer site where several
users had been given a computer image created on a computer where SharePoint Workspace had been launched before image creation.
Only one user should run SharePoint Workspace (Groove.exe) at a time. (Sometimes multiple instances work, but it's not reliable.)
You need to have a local profile on the computer which is running SharePoint Workspace. SharePoint Workspace is not supported with Roaming or Temporary profiles. Usually, this problem would prevent you from starting SharePoint Workspace, but some
environments with custom permissions can lead to other errors.
SharePoint Workspace uses the current user's permissions for SharePoint server access, In the case of Forms-Based authentication, it prompts for credentials at workspace creation, but then uses the credentials in the active browser session when opening
the workspace. I think this could only be related to your problem if you are logged in as another user in your browser, and that user has access to some, but not all, of the site your workspace connects to.

Photoshop CS5 64 bits Workspaces problem (Win 7 64 bits)

Hello.
Top bottom menu window at right of the screen starts minimized everytime I launch Photoshop, although workspaces (default and personalized) have all the windows maximized.
Is any other user experiencing the same problem?
Although I deleted, bring back the default ones, and created new workspaces, the problem persists.

Try this:
1. Restore the Photoshop window (i.e., click on the middle caption button, so that Photoshop is a window that is NOT maximized).
2. Get the panels looking the way you want them.
3. While the app is still Restored (NOT Maximized), close and reopen Photoshop. Are the panels still the way you want them?
5. If so, maximize Photoshop.
6. Close and Reopen Photoshop. Are the panels still proper?
I've noticed that something is saved when Photoshop is in Restored view that is not saved when Maximized.

Edit Workspace Problem

How do I get my photo in the edit work
space over to the far left?. I can't get it out of the mid
dle of the workspace. It makes it very difficult to use my rulers when cropping?

Thank you for your response. However, I tried to do what you said. I can't seem to get the part about ripping the tab (what tab?) of the image down from the top of the workspace. Please understand when it comes to this particular software I'm a little slow. I really appreciate your trying to help me with this problem. I'm sure the problem is me. Thanks again.

Workspace problems, please help

When I start Indesign, the only window pane I see is the application bar, but it only takes up half the screen. When I toggle through the workspace presets, nothing changes or appears. If I choose to show a specific window pane such as "layers", it appears in the center of the screen but is stacked with a bunch of other random window panes (but in a way unlike you would normally see when you drag a window into another, they are lieterally inside one another). I can however, drag them out and rearrange them, but when I relaunch ID, the same problem appears. I've tried trashing the prefs to no avail. Any ideas?

have you tried the Reset <workspace name> command?
if that works to rearrange the panels properly, and it doesn't stick, then you probably have a conflict with some other software. Any third party plugins? Background utilities?

Build option export to different workspace - problem

Hi All,
I have a page with two regions. Logically, the two regions are mutually exclusive, only one should ever appear. I've created a build option called "Simulated Login" and set the build option of region 1 to "{Not Simulated Login}" and the build option of region 2 to "Simulated Login". When I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1. When the build option is included, I see only region 2.
I have a problem when I export my application to another workspace. Region 2's build option is still set the same as the original application, but region 1's build option is not set after the import - it should be "{Not Simulated Login}" but instead it is blank. Now, when I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1 and when it's included, I see both regions.
In the meantime I'll create another build option as the obvious workaround - I'll just have to make sure that I keep the two build options set to the opposite of eachother!

Multiple Adobe Premiere CS6 workspace problems Win 7

Here's a screenshot of my workspace [img]http://i.imgur.com/jseNN6c.jpg[/img] to help to describe the problems I'm facing.
1. Why can't I get the top right pane to match the top left's aspect by default?
After madly mouse clicking around the top right pane image crosshairs come up and I've managed to manually adjust the image onto a black background, see this screenshot [img]http://i.imgur.com/m2CccdH.jpg[/img]
And after all this fuss I'm worried my output video quality will not be the crisp resolution of the left hand frame, but the much more blurry right hand pane.
2. I'm trying to insert keyframes with stuff like people's names.
Adobe help keeps on telling me to locate a 'wrench shaped' icon in the bottom timeline frame - I can't find one and continue following the keyframe instructions.
3. If I undock a panel, and say drag it across my extended desktop to my second screen - how do I re-dock it? Can see an undock command but not a re-dock?

After looking at the screenshot of the issue you have, I can say that you have not selected the correct sequence settings.
After Import all the clips in Premiere Pro please right click on one of the clips and choose the option "New Sequence from Clip". It will create a new sequence for you with the correct settings and you will have full image on the program monitor as well.

Workspace problem : project has no Java Nature.

I'm having this problem since I tried to deploy and run an ESS application for testing. here are the details of problem.
An internal error has occured. See error log for more details.
Plugin name: Metamodel Core
Plugin ID: com.sap.ide.metamodel.core
Class: com.sap.ide.metamodel.core.plugin.MetamodelManager
Method: getJavaProjectClassPaths
Message: project has no Java Nature. projectName = GDI_XSS11dev_Dessgbaddrsap.com
Exception: org.eclipse.core.internal.resources.ResourceException: Missing project nature class for org.eclipse.jdt.core.javanature.
Same problem is being reported for every DC in NWDS Web Dynpro perspective and perspective is not loading correctly. I changed the workspace and perspective came back fine - with no DCs of course.
I'm using NWDS 7.0.20 and j2re1.4.2_14.
Could you help me solve this problem?

No re-installation needed actually. Since the corrupted files are basically the meta files of the workspaces at .dtc (best to back that up though). If you're using NWDI, the track should appear there alongside LocalDevelopment and 0. If its a critical project, I would recommend perhaps raising an OSS note on how to fix this NWDS bug.
I can think of ways to perhaps 'refresh' the local file DCs -- but I'm not totally sure if its safe or it could have consistency issues with the activities logged on your DTR.

I didn't update my IE or change in anyway, but a solve the problem with a older snapshot(I'm using a vmware).

Workspace problem in DW MX 2004

I inadvertently moved the Property Inspector (usually at the bottom of window) around so that it is no longer docked to the document window.
I tried \Window\Arrange Panels to recover the workspace but Arrange Panels was grayed out. I cannot Group the P.I. with the Appication, as all the Group Properties With choices are grayed out.
Currently the top of my P.I. has a small space between it and the bottom of the document window. As a result, the very bottom of the screen just barely shows the line in the P.I. with the link box, which I use all the time.
How can I recover my old workspace or dock the P.I. with the document window so that more of the P.I. is on screen?

Are the changes made in the local sites after you cange the
Library items?
Look at the page locally and see. If the local files are
changed and if you
have uploaded them, then you will see the changes on the
remote site

Dreamweaver Workspace problems

I am missing workspace tools and panels in my DW like they are in the show Learn DW - Worspace Overview (http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs6/workspace-overview/)
Could you please advise me how to get back to my Dreamweaver panels and Workspace switcher? If I click on "manage workspaces" there are none.
What I have already tried:
clearing Dreamweaver preferences (via tutorial Restore preferences - http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs4-cs5.html)
stopping syncronizing of workspaces with the 2nd computer ( manage sync settings - sync settings all unchecked, conflict resolutions: Ask my preference)

The Workspace Overview video is for Dreamweaver CS6. You're using Dreamweaver CC, which has only two built-in workspaces: Compact and Expanded. However, the principle remains exactly the same. You can rearrange the panels however you like, and then save your own workspace.
To convert the Insert panel into the Insert bar (as in the Classic workspace), drag the tab of the Insert panel to detach it from the panel group, and move it up towards the top of the screen. When it fades and a blue bar appears at the top of the screen, release the mouse button, and it snaps to the top as the Insert bar.

I am able to see the layer folders, but no timeline. I tried

BPM Workspace 11.1.1.4 fails after login

I am getting an issue when logging into BPM Workspace (11.1.1.4) where the browser displays nothing and the SOA Server log shows the following issue compiling bpmHome.jsf.

Hi,
I managed to fix this on my own as I started looking at the BPEL side of things and started getting errors deploying services to the SOA Server due to too many files being open.
To fix this I bumped up my open files max from 1024 to 4096.
I also added some extra Java properties to my setDomainEnv.sh to get rid of the following start up message...
<BEA-000402> <There are: 5 active sockets, but the maximum
number of socket reader threads allowed by the configuration is: 4. You
may want to alter your configuration.>
EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES="${EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES} -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolPercentSocketReaders=50 -Dweblogic.ThreadPoolSize=100 -Dweblogic.SelfTuningThreadPoolSizeMin=100"
export EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES
This definitely improved performance drastically but I don't know which of the above steps fixed my BPM Workspaces problem (maybe its both) but they both helped me with each problem I had.

NWDS Start up problems

My NWDS 7.0.13 is not starting up it says check the log file of .metadata folder.I have treid the option of deleting the metadata folder also reinstalling NWDS but the problem still persist.please help me out.

Workspace problem while NWDS startup is due to...
1. Admin rights for your terminal are taken away and the workspace folder is deleted prior to that.
2. NWDS is installed using different user ID and so a workspace config dialog appears for your invocation.
Make sure that you have admin rights temporarily atleast during the workspace creation dialog step.

Bpm workspace xhtml/jsf customisation

Can anyone help me with customising component.xhtml/layout.xhtml??
I would like to know how workspace differentiates default layout and customised layout. I need to include my own custom page in the new layout created using iframe but am unable to include only in the new layout.. It appears in the default layout as well.
I tried using

I tried using this in layout.xhtml. I tried finding the unique page Id to differentiate default page and custom page.
