Workspace Search Option Issue....

Hi All,
The Search option in the Workspaces is not returning proper results. It always gives the same result output.
Even if i use the proper File Name / Discussion Name / Meeting Name also..
What might be the Issue here..?
Best Regards

Here are some details of how searching various content works:
Files: file name, file content for text files (10.1.2.3: does not search content)
Discussions: message subject, message body
Meetings: meeting subject, meeting location, meeting description
You can use * as a wildcard character.
Can you give a specific example of a search that is failing for each content type? For example: what is the filename, what is the search string? What is the meeting subject, what is the search string? And what results are you seeing?
Finally, what version of workspaces are you using?
regards,
-Neil.

I'm having an issue with DVDSP and I can't see the 'search' option on this site. Is Apple cutting down on bandwidth for this so they can sell their phones?!
Anyone else having the same issue?

What the **** does this mean? The performance was just fine! Now, I am unable to efficiently search for information and the performance therefore is awful. How long will this go on?

  • DVR Search Option No Longer Works - After The Crap Upgrade

The new software upgrade is crap. DVR search option no longer works. I can't use the search option to find my favorite programs and set the DVR to record them. It only lets me put the first letter in the search field and then nothing. I can't enter any more letters aftet that.
Verizon sent me another DVR but it has same issues. They sent a technician to my house and he basically told me, the upgrade is crap and lots of people are having technical issues.
He gave me another box and said it is working. Now I have three DVRs sitting in my house and I have to return two. After he left I tried to search and I have the same exact issue so basically he just lied and didn't fix anything.
I called tech support over and over, and they just told me that they can't do anything. They basicaly admitted that the upgrade is crap and the are clueless on how to fix it. So I'm stock with 3 DVRs that don't work. Billing department told me they can't give me any discounts either.
Anyone else is having these issues?

Same issue here.  Sent me another box, same model as the old one.  Same exact issues.  Called Tech support back, they admitted it was a known issue, and nothing he could do about it.  Was told I had to talk to someone in SALES to get them to send me a newer box.
New box is here, and now i have no option to record.  Oh, and last time I called tech support... I got 'disconnected' (after being on hold for 30+ minutes).  They are really dropping the ball, and I will not be renewing.

  • Why is there no "SEARCH OPTION" in the Windows Store? Apps missing be nice if I could find them !

Since on this journey from Win 8 consumer preview to Win 8 retail preview   ..And no currently trying out Win 8 Pro...It verified if it was gonna give me back ( allowed to re-download ) the apps I was used/had in previous editions. The Store gives you
a selection of YOU APPS from previous versions of the OS preview of apps you installed and currently would want to reinstall. Various versions of the Consumer preview I installed 2 out the 4 times i installed the OS seen I had installed the app Comixology.
When the first time I installed Retail preview it didn't have it in my list nor was it listed in the store!  Same goes with Iheart Radio and Slacker Radio though numerous installments of the OS. Now trying out the Win 8 Pro 9200 version It showed I at
one point no matter what PC I used ( I own a few and bought a new one recently ) It showed at one point I installed Comixology. Yet it didn't show Iheart Radio or Slacker in my install list of old to reinstall nor was it even in the Store!!!!   \\\So
what the hell gives ?????   I mean If there was a SEARCH Option it would make it easier to track these Metro ( whatever they are calling it now -personally I think they should call it FRAMES as in Window Frames  :P  When you go on these
programs sites they only offer up Apple or Android app downloads and nothing mentioning of Metro or Win 8 -which is understandable due to not being released yet but still if the Store can't comply with your history of app install base ( paid or free ) and
you can't have the ability to retrieves said apps you once installed how can that be trusted if and when paid apps are bought if you are only to reinstall the entire OS and find that your app is not obtainable via offered through the main store or even in
your downloads app install history. I hope they fix this issue as it's been pissing me off since this whole testing thing!!

Sorry if I offended you by using an anecdote - the actions of kids are simply an easy way to explore the actions of adults.  Growing up doesn't change base instincts.  Most people (myself included) tend to have an immediate distrust of change when
it is not change that they are instigating, when it is forced upon them.  What better example is there than a child, where many big decisions are made for them?
As for the new interface, I didn't catch on until it was revealed to me (or I hit my head against the wall, can't remember), so I'm not saying it is easy.  Better education is needed, but going back to the old way doesn't help.  The five or six
questions I have answered today are questions that I myself had, and wished someone had answered for me.  This is a
drastic change from old versions of Windows.  I even told my boss yesterday that I can't see his company (I'm a contractor) switching any time soon - too much new stuff to learn.  That being said, once there are some good training tools available,
I do believe that this OS will be a good choice - it does feel more intuitive after only a few days of use.  A training course is likely necessary for new users, however my guess is that this will wind up being a beneficial change (long-run)
for IT departments, because the system does feel more aimed towards the casual user.  No matter what program you use, the search and settings are in one easy place.
I admittedly do not have a lot of files in my Skydrive, however the file that is there is purple, while the folders are blue.  Not sure if all files are like that, and I really do not have the time to explore those differences.  That being said,
the number in the bottom-right seems pretty self-explanatory, the number of child elements in the container.  I barely remember the old Skydrive interface, however I do remember it felt clunky.  Whether or not the changes are a true
improvement, it does feel more streamlined.
Metro (or whatever it is called now) is confusing.  It is scary.  (My word, not yours, nor am I trying to imply it.)  It is definitely
different from the past.  But it makes sense.  Same interface on every MS product: Xbox, Windows, and Phone.  Microsoft didn't exactly
pioneer this idea, either.  Apple has been creeping in that direction for a while now.  As I said previously, I can move around faster in the new Start menu than I could in the old, and I can actually do
more without ever putting a hand on the mouse - for anyone that is waist-deep in computers, regardless of their specific job, that tends to be a
    good thing.
There are a lot of growing pains here, for both Microsoft and the consumer.  Has MS gotten it right?  Not yet, not entirely, but the goal is clear.
If your complaint is on broken
functionality, then I wouldn't disagree with you.  There is plenty of that, and I think it was a bit foolish of Microsoft not to have a Connect site up for such things.  (If I'm wrong on that, and there is one, please point me that way.  I'm
still stuck with Explorer.exe crashing from click-scrolling.)
As for disliking the big changes, well, I can't agree with you on that at all.  Again, it wasn't an easy transition, but now that I'm here, I don't want to go back.  I want the true
bugs fixed, but not having a search bar seems more like being stuck on old ways of doing things than a real problem.  That kind of thing can even lead to puking.

  • Mailbox search Option in IE11

    Hi,
We are using Exchange 2003 and OWA to work with mails. If we open OWA 2003 in IE11 for viewing mails it is not showing mailbox search option. Can any one tell us how to enable the search option in IE11?

    Hi sathv,
Is OWA running in light mode?
If yes, you may check to see if you have the following updates installed:

    Hi there,
I just read this thread, and maybe someone here can answer my current trex question:
I have created an ordinary CM repository, and created an index with this repository as source. Now the problem: I would like to exclude files in the repository with specific mimetypes from the TREX indexing process.
I have verified that the TrexValidMimetypes.ini does not contain any reference to the Mimetypes I'm creating, but never the less, the document titles are searchable and are returned when searching.
How do I get around this issue?
Is it possible in NW04 or EP6.0 SP3 PXXX??

  • Restrict Equipment Search Options to only "Equipments by equipment list"

    Hello Experts,
Is there a way to restrict Equipment Search Options to only "Equipments by equipment list" in all PM related transactions like maintenance plan, order, notification, measuring point, etc.,
We would like to put a hard stop on that option and restrict users from accessing (preferably not to even display other options) other options like "Equipment by Cost center", etc.,
Appreciate immediate response to this issue.
    Thanks in Advance!!

    Hi PM_User_2009,
The Equipment Search Options can be restricted by two ways.
    1) If the restricted search option required in all transactions where you are using equipment field,
Edit the search help collecting search help 'EQUI' in SE11, Flag the checkbox  for all the search helps in the 'Included Search helps' tab except the 'Equipment by Equipment list' search help (EQUIL).
    2) If you want for particular transaction or program,
Use the search help exit 'PM_HLP_PREVENT_RECURSION'.
ABAPer can help you for both the options.

  • SP20 search results issues

    Hi All,
We have EP 6.4 - recently we have upgraded from SP17 to SP20.
While a few bugs related to the search iview were fixed, i have seen some changes that i don't like too much, and i was wondering if those changes can be removed by configuration.
    <b>Change number 1</b>
In SP17, the search results iview show exactly how many results were found, and enabled you to page between results pages. In SP20, it shows " 1-10 more", and once you click on the 'more', another results page links is shoing like this: "1-10 11-20 more" and so on. Can i configure the iview so it would show the results as before or do i have to write my own search component?
    <b>Change number 2</b>
After upgradin to SP20, sometimes when i conduct a search, i get results but with the following message: "The original search has been extended due to the lack of initial results" and then it shows me results with words similar to the ones i searched for. For example, if i search for 'sales', i get results with the words 'safe', 'state' etc. This brings of course a lot of irrelevant results i want to diable this. Is this possible?
The search iview uses the default search component and search option sets.
I am not using custom components, and i rather not create ones if possible.
Since SAP no longer answers questions via OSS (only product errors) , i will be glad if SAP employees will respond to this post.
    Thanks,
    Moti.

Please ignore this post - the issues i described have nothing to do with SP20.
Simple configuration of the search option set solved it.

  • Search option in BI 4 launch pad is not working

    Hi everyone
we are working in BI 4 Launch Pad, and we are facing an issur when we try to use vthe search option, the error message is
"An error occurred while searching: Index is not ready. Please try again later(PAA 01004)"
i have found one note in SAP Notes saying that the SAP will solve this issue in BI 4.1, but we need this to be solved in BI 4, many users are asking to use search option,so any one can help if there is any workaround.
    many thanks

    Hi Friends,
    We faced the similar issue. Found SAP Note 1634413  http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1634413  which resolved the issue for us. I have pasted the resolution below;
    Resolution
Go to CMC->Application-> Right Click 'Platform Search Application'->Properties
Scroll Down and select the option "Rebuild Index", save and close.
Let the index rebuild for few hours (depends on the amount of content).
Please see if this is helpful to any of you.

  • Search option set

Folks, I am able to restrict my search to a folder or index by adding SearchPluginName=caeSearchAll to "KM Search Parameters" property of the tool area iview. But I cannot get the same to work with KM Search iview.
I create a new ivew by selecting the SAP KM Search Iview. I see that there is no "KM Advanced Search" property. I see a property called query. I added to this url with no affect. I added the "caeSearchAll" to the "Search Option set" property to no avail.
    We are on EP6 SP2 P5.
Do any of you out there have similar issues?

    Hi Madhavi
I have tried to achieve some kind of similar functionality, and I couldn't make it work either. In the end my conclusion was that the Search Parameters could not be entered into the KM Search Iview, but perhaps should be entered into the com.sap.km.cm.basicsearch application. But I wasn't able to detect this application in the PCD or anywhere else.
At the same time my experiences with the KM Search Parameters property of the tool area was not so good. When I changed or added Search Parameters, it sometimes worked and sometimes yielded very strange and significant errors. The behavior was so irregular, I had to find another way to use my own SearchResultLayoutSet.
You should bear this in mind and test it thoroughly before you put it into production. I ran SPS11.
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Search Option in Fields in Record Working Time Table

    Hi,
In ESS, in Record Working Time table, there is search option provided in certain fields like for Rec. Order we have search option and when we click, screen pops up with advance search by Order Type,CO Area,Order,Description. In R/3 we have search option provided in all fields but not in ESS. How can we bring search option/functionality in fields like Receiver fund, Receiver Grant etc. in ESS for which this serch option/functionality is not provided. Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

  • No search option in music player Nokia N8

there is no search option in music player of nokia N8 like other nokia phone (N82 N72)
if we are in all song list and we want to play a song  how to search that song?
i have 14 GB songs in my N8  so it is very difficult to search a single song in vast list
plzz fix this issu in next firmware update

no offense, dude, but that was a stupid comment. obviously you are the one who has no clue and  doesn't know how to use the phone. everybody knows there's search widget that can do that, but it's just plain ridiculous.  it is as if you're suggesting that whevenever we want to text  a sms, we need to open "message" app, then go to main menu and open another "keyboard" app so that we could finally type something.
the feature of being able to find the song by typing the alphabet was there since N73. and it's so so so convenient.  it was fast and efficient.  another feature is the abilily to edit the songs details. it' makes selecting song and creating playlist like a breeze. i love nokia musica player because of this. these useful and practical features is something that other phone manufacturers still fail to offer. that's why nokia stood out. now in N8, all these were taken away. it's a major loss.
stop acting like a smart **bleep**, and make a fool out of yourself.
to Nokia, please solve this issue.  if this is the price that i have to pay to have the cover flow feature, i'd rather not have it. the cover flow is uselss to me, beside being eye candy

  • Spotify Search Option Is Gone

On my Samsung phone, I went to go search for some songs to add to my playlist when I realized that the actual 'search' option wasn't there. I made a new account to see if that was the problem but it still isn't there. I don't know what happened, any help?
    (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/sDldgyQ.png)

Huh, it dun broke! The way to solve most issues like this is through a clean re-installation. I've listed the steps below.
From the home screen, tap Settings > Apps.
Find Spotify in your list of apps.
If you're able to, tap Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Tap Uninstall to remove the app.
Turn your device off and then back on.
Open Google Play then search for and install the Spotify Music app.
If you're still having issues after the re-install please do not hesitate to let me know, and I'll see what else I can do to help.
