Workspace swither crashes in Gnome2
Solaris 10, 8/07 on Ultra 10
When starting pager, which is called "Workspace switcher", I get this:
"The Workspace Switcher applet appears to have died unexpectedly"
Reload this applet?
(If you choose not to reload it at this time you can always add it by right clicking on the panel and clicking onthe "Add to Panel" submenu)

Check ~/.xsession-errors for clues (or post it here).
Did it start failing after an update?

Workspace Switcher crashes. Bad setup or GNOME bug?
I've been having an interesting problem with GNOME's workspace switcher.
Under normal circumstances, moving the scroll wheel while the mouse is hovered over the workspace switcher moves you between workspaces. Half of the time I try to do this, nothing happens. If I then right click the workspace switcher and click "preferences", the workspace switcher (along with the "Show Desktop" button) quits unexpectedly. An error dialog pops up, and I hit "Reload". From that point forward (until I log out) everything works normally.
Has anybody else encountered this problem? Does it seem like a GNOME bug, or a result of me setting something up incorrectly?Welcome to the forums magnus, seems it took you quite some time to write your first post.

Illustrator CC crashing upon attempting to start a new document or even save a new workspace.
Didn't realise I was a beta tester, in fact didnt know I had the time to be either.
Creative Cloud is a great idea, pity it has been used to release under cooked software. The upgrade to CC has cost my department hours and hours of chargeable/billable time.
This is the error message i get when I try and save a workspace for example.

Mylenium, I too am having problems creating/saving a new Workspace with Illustrator CC.
I am migrating from CS5 to Cloud.
When you say, “Make sure to be on your primary desktop when using AI.”
Does that mean ALL my panels must be on ONE monitor???
I work with two monitors. I have open panels on set both on monitors.
This was never a problem with CS5 and below.
When I try to modify or create a new Workspace, Illustrator crashes.
In the past, I just have copied my workspaces from one version to the next in Preferences>Adobe Illustrator.
Never been a problem until now.
Please advise.
I have spent countless hours on this.

Photoshop CS5 crashes every time I select the "Design" Workspace
Hi, just installed CS5 on my MacPro, and updated. Every time I try and select the "Design" workspace, CS5 crashes. All of the other workspaces work just fine. Can someone have a look at this error log and let me know if there's a solution to my problem:

RonThanks very much Chris for pointing me in the right direction. I downloaded FontDoctor, and it found one questionable font which I deleted. However CS5 continues to crash when selecting the Design Workspace. So I followed the steps outlined in the Adobe document you linked. When I got to the point of downloading the FontTest.jsx file and ran it, CS5 crashed right away without writing any log file. I turned on app.displayDialogs = DialogModes.YES, and CS5 is crashing with a TypeError: undefined is not an object. So I don't know if this is related to my original problem, or not. Any thoughts on how to proceed to get the FontTest script to run properly? I took all of the normal defaults when I installed CS5 (e.g., didn't select any alternate paths, don't have any add-ons installed, etc.).

Flash CS3 crashes when saving custom workspace
I have Flash CS3 on a Windows XP sp2 machine. Everytime I try
to save a custom workspace, Flash crashes. There is no error
messages, Flash freezes and becomes non-responsive. I have noticed
in the Task Manger that there seems to be 2 Flash windows open at
the time, but I never see the second instance.
I have seen other people who have issue with Flash crashing
with dual monitors - which I also have.
Does anyone know of a solution?

*exactly* what happens to me (even down to the 2 instances of Flash
in the Task Manager). What video card are you using? I'm using an
NVIDIA Quadro PCI-E series card. -
Flash CS6 crashing at "loading workspaces"
I am using the Creative Cloud desktop application for all of my applications. I am able to open and use all my other apps except Adobe CS6. It keeps crashing at "building workspace".
I have uninstalled and reinstalled but still is not working. Even if I try to open a flash file it still does the same, loads up until "building workspace" then crashes. Any one have any ideas?reset your preferences, FAQ: How do I reset Flash professional to default configurations and preferences?

after I updated via pacman -Syu last weekend and rebooted my system I got a plasma workspace crash at the login which happens ever since.

However I've downgraded all of them back but the crash remains. I also removed qtmod and installed qt from the arch repositories but still no effect on the bug. Also tried to rename the .kde4/ folder to make KDE generating a new plain folder but doesn't help with the problem. Even complete removal of KDEmod and new installation didn't make a change.
I hope someone can help cause I'm runnig out of ideas what to try next.

That repo has saved my life a number of times. Especially with BLUETOOTH GRRRR.
As for getting all your old settings back, I didn't investigate this enough because i only have opensuse for curiosity as I think they do some really great stuff.
Basically I hadn't yet isolated what was causing the problems before I gave up because every time I tried to merge my old settings in to the new user account, I recreated the problem. No logical (subjective term obviously) separation of what to merge and what not to merge worked. So I gave up and just did everything manually. Sorry that I couldn't be more helpful.

My InDesign Library Crashes InDesign
I have two screens and keep all of my palettes on the right screen. When I cross over to select the InDesign Library to grab something, it crashes my InDesign. It is the ONLY palette that causes an issue. If I remember to save the file I am working on before crossing over to the second screen, for the most part it will not crash. But there has been a couple times in which it does. Has anyone else had this issue and/or have a fix for it?

So I remembered, I was having trouble yesterday in ID with Kuler (which will load in my customized workspace). So after trashing the prefs again and restarting Indesign I went to Windows > Color > Adobe Color Themes and... crash!
So the solution for me for now is working in ID without Adobe Color Themes (used to be Kuler?) which is too bad because I use to work with it frequently.
But I am glad it works again! I will also save your other solutions. You never know...

Any ideas?That's some sort of graphics acceleration issue that usualyl would be fixed by updating the graphics driver and configuring it properly. Depending on what fancies you use things like not using multiple monitors/ desktops might also be relevant...

My InDesign CC crashes at launch
Since today my InDesign crashes on launch. I am working on a retina imac with OSX 10.10.2. Yesterday it worked fine. Tried to start after restart, login and out at Adobe CC, de-installed fonts, disconnected al usb devices. Indesign still crashes at launch. It crashes after the dispay of new features shows up. Does someone have a solution or tips?

AMD Radeon HD 6750M Premiere Pro CC2014.2 crashes and no hardware accleration 2011 MBP
I have a fresh install of 10.9.5 and Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 Everytime I move a video into my workspace it crashes. Log shows [CL_INVALID_OPERATION] : OpenCL Error : Failed to retrieve device information! Invalid enumerated value! For video and rendering playback options, the software option is the only choice. 512GB VRAM on AMD and Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB. This is a late 2011 15" Macbook Pro.

Right. You need 768 MB VRAM for hardware acceleration for the Mercury Playback Engine. In speaking with engineering and researching past posts, your GPU is underpowered and you will probably continue to experience performance issues and unexpected behavior with current versions of Premiere Pro.
It is recommended to roll back to Premiere Pro CC.1 (7.1) and to avoid certain effects listed in this post: Performance crippled by 7.2 update - GPU Acceleration. See the recommendations from QE engineer, Peter Garaway.
It might be time to begin looking at updating your hardware in order to take full advantage of your Creative Cloud subscription. We have an outstanding hardware forum should you need advice on upgrading your computer.

Problem with Premiere Pro new actualization - Black screen on all playbacks - HACKINTOSH user

I installed the new version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC version (8.1) and now the software open the older projects, but the playback does not work, its all black, both of them (source and monitor). After effects works fine.
I already try to re-installed CC, cleaned cash, but same happens. When i move the dimension line to customize my workspace, a crash occurs, looks like an error.

Yosemite Upgrade CS4 doesn't work anymore
I have recently upgraded to Mac Yosemite and I have done the update javaForOS2014-001. Since then I have received a popup license does not function any more. Fault 150:30. Can anybody help?

Did a pacman -Syu. After the updates, I rebooted.
I don't use KDM - just type startx at the command line.
KDE appears to start with appearing icons showing progress but
then ends with the KDE Crash Handler.
A Fatal Error Occurred.

I then end up with a blank screen with mouse cursor. The screen is not frozen - can move mouse.
I do CTRL+ALT+Backspace to get back to the CLI.

Trouble after loading the Adobe Design Suite CS5.
I just loaded CS5 onto my MacBook Pro.
Running OS 10.5.8.
I have been having trouble with getting my custom workspaces to save.
I get all the palletes and panels set up where I want and Save Workspace with a name.
That all goes well until I shut down. When I restart, the recently saved Workspace is nowhere to be found.
It is not in the Window-Workspace, or Manage Workspace areas.
Can I use my previous version CS4 custom Workspace file? If so, where do I find that? And then where do I drag a copy of it to make it work for CS5?
And with Photoshop CS5 I get the palletes all in their custom places and when I go to Save Workspace Photoshop crashes.
I have uninstalled the entire package and run the CS5 Clean Tool and then re-loaded the entire Design Premium CS5 and still the trouble.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!The reason Illustrator crashes on quit is that as a last step in quitting it tries to write the preferences files to keep any changes made during the session. If it does not have permission to write these files it crashes and any changes made to the preferences are not saved. Try doing a "Get Info" on the following folder Users/<yourname>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS5. What are the permissions for that folder? Also you can try to make a new user account and try from there. If it works then you have a problem with you old user account.

KDE 4.1: after a normal upgrade, kde doesn't work anymore
I been using KDE 4.1 for some couple weeks and everything was fine since yesterday when as I usual do, I upgraded the system. That seems the main reason because now kdm still working, I selected KDE session to start kde but then nothing else happens! My screen is full of some squares black & white lines pixels. No taskbar, no icons... no desktop at all.
My first reaction was ok, let's just delete all the old config .kde and .kde4 and start a fresh KDE but no luck . Then I decided to reinstall pacman -S kde and delete again all the config, reboot... nothing. Here is the list of packets since this problem appears:

Did a pacman -Syu. After the updates, I rebooted.
I don't use KDM - just type startx at the command line.
KDE appears to start with appearing icons showing progress but
then ends with the KDE Crash Handler.
A Fatal Error Occurred.
" The application Plasma Workspace (plasma) crashed and caused the signal 11
(SIGSEVG)
I then end up with a blank screen with mouse cursor. The screen is not frozen - can move mouse.
I do CTRL+ALT+Backspace to get back to the CLI.

Can't view all pics at sametime when attaching to email
Whenever I browse my finder to upload a pic it's a nightmare because I have to sit there clicking on each one to see what it is. Can I not see all pics at once like thumbnails on a PC or just like you can if you open iphoto? If I set my view to thumb
