Workspace URL error
Hi All,
Please can any one help me to resolve the below workspace error.
Iam unable to connect to HFM using Workspace URL.
The error message is
Message from the ISAPI plugin:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds or idempotent set to OFF.
We restarted the services in order and checked the IIS services are up and running, but still we are getting the same above error.

What do you get when you attempt to open the URL for :
http://<** INSERT SERVER NAME FOR HFM WEB (Not workspace)**>/hfm/
you should get a reply of just 'hfm'.
If you do not get anything, you'll want to figure this out first. Consider the following :
- If you get sometype of error, etc, then HFM Web isn't configured properly. Follow instructions to set that up.
- If you actually get into the HFM apps from this URL, then when HFM Web was setup, you didn't indicate it was being used with Workspace. When you install/use Workspace, HFM Web behaves differently than it would if you do not use Workspace.
After this is working, check your Workspace settings to make sure that is the URL for HFM app? When you connect to workspace, you really just get proxied over to the HFM Web server when you open an app, etc.

Zul manager add on error on workspace URL
Hello, we are using the Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.5.210. I am using Firefox Mozilla to go to workspace, however, when I type in the workspace URL I get an error message that the Remote XUL Manager add on for Mozilla Firefox in not configured.
Please help.
ThanksThe version you have given is for Smart View I believe and not planning, have you installed the XUL Manager and added the url because depending on version it will be required.

SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working in EPM System 11.1.2.2
I have installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 in single server environment (MS 2008 Server R2) with following components:
* Foundation Services
* HFM
* FDM
Have used embedded Weblogic server as application web server and Oracle HTTP server as web server. The installation was successful.
While configuration,
1) I selected the option to deploy web applications SharedServices and Workspace to a single managed server. The applications got successfully deployed to EPMServer0.
2) Also, I selected to configure Oracle HTTP server as web server.
Both these steps were successful.
But SharedServices and Workspace URL's are not working. Getting 404 error.
SharedServices : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/interop/index.jsp
Workspace : http://inmum01hyp05.internal.vodafone.com:19000/workspace/
When I checked Weblogic admin console, EPMServer0 is in SHUTDOWN state, tried to start it but it goes in ADMIN state instead of RUNNING.
Checked EPMServer0 log at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given at the end of this message.
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this.

today's update:
* Uninstalled EPM system V11.1.2.2 completely and after rebooting the server installed EPM system V11.1.2.2 again.
* During configuration, deployed SharedServices and Workspace to single managed server EPMServer0 on Weblogic server and configured to Oracle HTTP server as web server. Configuration seems successful.
* Started EPM system.
* checked Weblogic admin console - EPMServer0 goes into ADMIN state from STARTING.
* Checked EPMServer0 logs at "D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\EPMServer0\logs" and found the error given below:

2. In that case, go to IIS manager and try to right click on 'workspace' folder -> browse.
3. Is it by any chance on 64 bit env?

Youtube Facebook Google etc, Invalid URL error
For many years now I've been putting up with a CONSTANT lingering problem with my Mac OS. These (on a very regular basis) irritating, "Invalid URL" errors.
The picture that you see below is an example of my problem. This example of a Youtube video giving me an error is from a recent article on www.macrumors.com.
Where the youtube video is supposed to be is just an Error. And as I scrolled down the page, all of the subsequent youtube videos had this same error.
So I went to youtube. After typing in the web address, I get the same error except that it fills the entire screen.
After about 20 minutes (of constant screen refreshes and data dumps within safari) the youtube videos finally loaded as if nothing was wrong (as you can see in the second photo).
Sometimes this problems lasts for 10 seconds. But normally it can take between 10 minutes to an hour to begin working again.
The other two websites that give me this same trouble is Google.com and Facebook.com. But Facebook being the most notorious. Not just because my actual facebook page won't load, but because of all of the news sites that load facebook garbage and coding searching for facebook. When the facebook ip address cannot be resolved, these annoying error pop-ups begin bombarding my screen. One minute facebook will work, and I'm reading down the newfeed, then all of the sudden nothing new will load. When I try to refresh the page, I get an error stating that it cannot load the page. Then I just have to wait.
As you can see from the picture below, Sometimes facebook just gives me an error that states, "Safari cannot open the page Facebook.com because Safari cannot establish a secure connection to the facebook server."
This happens EVERY single day. It's really just a crap-shoot whether or not I will be able to get onto Facebook.
Youtube is a little less often (usually happening about 3 or 4 times per week).
Google got so bad that I finally had to change my search provider to Bing, because Google almost never worked.
Has anyone else experienced these problems on their MAC?
I ask because I have 3 MAC computers. 2 Laptops and a MacPro tower.
And EVERY single one has this same problem.
This wasn't such a big deal; ie something I learned to live with... Up until I bought my wife (and Windows Vista convert) her new Macbook Air. And within an hour of booting that thing up for the first time, her Facebook errored out. And has done it pretty consistantly every day, at least twice, since then.
If anyone else has this problem, how did you fix it????????Here are the results:

And please keep in mind that in the past I have completely wiped and reinstalled after reformatting and within an hour or 2 I get the same errors on the these websites.

"Unable to load URL" error when importing VS2008 created WSDL
One of my developers created a simple web service in Visual Studio 2008 that queries a database on our SQL Server 2005. I can view the web service results in a web browser with no problems. I can also pull up the WSDL in the web browser with no problems (http://<ip address>/Service.asmx?WSDL). However, when I try to load WSDL into a Web Service Connection in Xcelsius 2008, I get the "Unable to load URL" error.
I've also tried to use the web service as a data source in Crystal Reports 2008, but I get another error:
Logon failed.
Details: Schema file is invalid
error: src-resolve: element 'schema@http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' not found
I've seen a post in which it looked like Crystal acknowledged this as a bug in the XML driver used by Crystal products, but it should be fixed in a service pack update. I've got the latest service packs and fix packs installed for both Xcelsius 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008.
I scanned the information being sent/returned to Xcelsius using Fiddler and it looks like the request is getting through and the actual WSDL file is being returned to Xcelsius, so it shouldn't be an authentication issue. It seems like Xcelsius doesn't like the WSDL file for some reason. However, it is automatically generated by Visual Studio 2008.
Any ideas as to how I can get Xcelsius to use this test web service?Having the same issues here also.
I can see the wsdl file being accessed successfully in the web access log, but Xcelsius v5.3 return "unable to load URL"
Only thing I can guess is that the schema is "untyped"

Why am I getting an URL error when iCal tries to access my google apps calendar?
My previously synced and normal google calendar for work was syncing fine with OSX's native Calendar app. Then I updated to to Mavericks, now my Calendar app is showing a URL error when trying to access my work calendar.
Our company uses a google apps business account, so our domain isn't gmail.com - in fact our domain acutally uses .asia.
Any ideas on how I can solve this? I've tried to re-link the account numerours times.....same exact problem using vista

IP Phone Service SDK Yellow Pages url error
I am trying out the sample ip phone services applications in the IP phone service SDK, the standalone ones seem to work fine, but most of the ones that connect to the internet such as the Yellow Pages Application and the Weather application give errors ranging from 404 page not found to service URl Error errors once it tries to access the internet. It seems that the last url that the service tries to access over the internet is invalid/outdated, etc. Does anyone have any recomendations or a fixed copy of these apps that actually work that they can share? I downloaded the latest 4.1.1 SDK, of which the only services that access the internet that seem to work are the Cisco Stock ticker and stock quotes. The others all seem to be really buggy. Anyone have any thoughts?

This issue happens when the phone load is 9.2.3 and the directories URL doesn't contain port number.
Workaround:
Please use http://X.X.X.X:8080/ccmip/xmldirectory.jsp for the directories
URL instead of http://X.X.X.X/ccmip/xmldirectory.jsp
You can try upgrading to firmware 9.3(1)

Workspace URL inside Flex form

Does anyone know an easy way to gain access to the Workspace URL from within a Flex form? I tried using the BrowserManager, but since the Flex form is actually loaded inside another Flex application and not the browser, it didn't seem to work for me.
My goal is to use the URL to do some internal configuration in the Flex form to respond to DEV, TEST and PROD servers.You can try to following option.

Han Dao1) Change the WC_defaulthost port of the appserver instance from 9080 to 80
2) Make sure "80" is listed as a "Host alias" for the "default_host" virtual host or another virtual host you have created exclusively for LiveCycle
3) Re-start the appserver instance
4) Check the SystemOut.log and verify that all LiveCycle web modules now bind to port 80, among others (like 5060, 5061 etc).
5) Try http://localhost/workspace and it should work. -
