Workstation for my docking stations

I had (it was stoled yesterday) a HP Elitebook 8540w and 2 docking stations for it.
The one I have here at home, have product code VB041AA.
I'm searching now a new workstation compatible with my docking stations.
Are the Zbook 15 series compatible? It seems that the new docking station for it has an equal socket.
Is'nt it?
Wich mobile workstation are compatible with my workstations?
Best regards and TNX in advance!
Ilic
P.S.: sorry for my bad english

Hi,
Based on the following specs, the existing docking station uses 90W adapter:
    https://h10057.www1.hp.com/ecomcat/hpcatalog/specs/provisioner/99/VB041AA.htm
The following docking stations are compatible with the Zbook machines:
HP 230W Docking Station
HP 120W Advanced Docking Station
HP 230W Advanced Docking station
Source: http://h71016.www7.hp.com/dstore/html/pdfs/HP_ZBook_15_WW_Datasheet.8-30-13.pdf
Given they use same connectors, you need more power otherwise the system will display error messages all the times.
Regards.

  • AC Adapter for HP2400 docking station

I have purchased a HP2400 Ultra Light docking station (used) which was sold without an AC adapter.  I want to use it with my HP Elitebook 2530p.
According to HP website, both the 2400 docker and 2530 notebook use the External 65W Smart AC Adapter.  So, for the docking station, can I use the power adapter which belongs to my notebook (it fits)?
If I can't, what is the part number for the AC adapter I need to power the 2400 docking station?
    Thanks.

    Do I need a 12oW or 230W adapter?

  • Looking for an docking station for DV9205us that has power pass-thru

I have an HP DV9205us and am looking for a docking station that has a power pass-thru.  The power plug on my latop doen't always power up the laptop and this has gotten on my nerves.  Is the ES631AA#ABA the only docking station that works with the DV9205us

    Thanks for the link.
Hadn't seen that review, but it matches what I conclude about that particular model - there's still lots of connecting & disconnecting to do. It has only one USB port docked, and another one sitting up top.  I have many items I'll be attaching via USB, such as Wacom, backup drive, external drive for photos, mouse.  And would prefer a Powered version so I don't have to connect the power cord each time either.  And if you notice that video, he shpws his desktop consisting on nothing but a keyboard & a monitor.  So with the lid closed on the MBA, how's he move the cursor around?  Missing a mouse there. (Yes - he could have a wirelesss mouse, but personally, I find a wired mouse much better - but he has NONE.
Hoping to find someone who has actually used one.
From my research, it seems the Landing Zone MAY do what I want, but I can't get answers from them to questions.  They have units for 2012 - 2013 MBA's, but I don't see anything on their site about the 2014 model I have.
And there's a few other brands out there - but seeking real life experiences.

You can purchase a key from ITXchange. The link includes information about how to determine the key number for your dock.

For liscensing of iOS related hardware? You'd need to contact the Made For iPod Program.

  • Looking for competent docking station for iPhone 3GS

I'm having a terrible time finding a good docking station for my new iPhone 3GS. Before I bought it I used a 5th generation iPod 60GB. I have a belkin usb hub/dock for it that works great. When my computer is off it charges the iPod, and it's a powered usb hub as well. Occasionally I would plug in an AV cable to watch content I purchased from iTunes on my TV.
I'm now trying to find a dock with equivalent or better abilities for the iPhone 3GS, and I'm coming up empty. Here's what I need in order of importance:
    1. *Plug into AC and charge iPhone when Mac is off, while still being connected via USB so that it will sync automatically when Mac is on.*
    2. Pass through dock connector to another dock connector on back so that I can connect Apple composite cables to TV, via the dock.
    3. Powered USB hub with 2 or more usb ports.
    4. A media card reader would be a really nice plus and make it perfect.
The closest I've found is the Griffin Simplifi, however the FAQ for it on their website states this:
"Will the Simplifi charge my iPod or iPhone while my computer's powered off or asleep?
Even though the Simplifi has its own power supply, your iPod or iPhone requires an active USB connection to charge. This means that the Simplifi will not charge your device if your computer is powered off or asleep."
I'm pretty sure their explanation is technically inaccurate, and simply a way of trying to shift the blame for their stupidity on to Apple. Nevertheless it makes this dock utterly useless (see item 1 above).
Is there any way to accomplish what I need, or is it hopeless?

Costco was, and may still be selling, the iHome Model iD95....  I think this model is only carried by Costco.  Other retailers such as Amazon.com sell the iHome iD83 App-Enhanced 30-pin iPod/iPhone/iPad Alarm Clock Speaker Dock.  See the description of this model at Amazon.com.    Both my model and the one on Amazon.com are described as a HOME SYSTEM for your iPad.    It has a dock on the top of the AM-FM Radio which will accommodate either an iPad, iPod or iPhone (up to model 4s).  If you have an iPhone5 or newest iPad, you can get a "30 pin to lightning" adapter to accommodate.   I just got an iPhone 5, and ordered the "30 pin to Lightning" adapter, so that I can once again use my iPhone on the dock.   It has 2 alarms, and numerous other features, including a battery backup, digital display, it charges your iPad/iPod/iPhone, and it has pretty darn good stereo speakers.  It's easy to adjust the base and treble.  Price when I bought it in September, was $79.95 and there was a $20 coupon.   It is easy to program music or Pandora from an iPhone/iPod/iPad, and can even program for music or Pandora before going to sleep and shuts itself off at a specified time, and then can turn on the radio or an alarm, or music or Pandora at a specified time in the morning.   I'm happy with it.

  • Power Cord for EN489AA Docking Station

I've lost the power cord for docking station EN489AA, and need to order a new one, but can't find the part number online.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

    Hi,
I can't work out exactly what are you trying to do but you can't use the old docking station as a stand alone device. You need computer to be able to use its ports.

  • I am looking for a docking station for an external hard drive.

I puchased an external docking station from MonoPrice. I have already returned this item once because of this error message. I am getting the same error message on the 2nd one. Please advise.

    Is this what you have?:
SATA HDD Docking Station w/ Card Reader & 2 Port USB Hub (USB+E-SATA)
If not, please post a link. It sounds like the dock comes with its own power supply but you are not using it or it is not putting out power. Most people get that message with USB external hard drives that are intended for mobile use and thus lack an indepenent power source. It overwhelms the USB bus wth power demands.
The specs for the product I linked says it comes with a power supply.

  • Software for HDD docking station

    Hi!
I have Rosewill USB 3.0 hdd docking station and Macbook Pro 2012.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182269
I want to create a backup of my current HDD or create an image of the drive. Next, I want to transfer the drive image to the empty SSD.
Do I need any software to clone my HDD from Macbook Pro?
    What soft would you recommend?

You can just use Disk Utility. I, however, prefer Carbon Copy Cloner for cloning devices (and to be honest, the only reason I do prefer CCC is becasue it's fast and idiot-proof).
They have a 30-day free trial. Then you can decide whether to buy or not. I use it as one of my backup schemes so I bought it.

  • HP Docking Station EN488AA - part number for power adapter

    Hi,
I have a HP Compaq nx8220 notebook, with a HP Docking Station (EN488AA).
Unfortunately I have lost the power supply for the docking station.
I still have the power supply for the notebook itself (393955-001) but it does not plug in to the docking station. It is the correct voltage but only 90W instead of 120W, and the connector is the wrong size.
I've been looking online for the part number for the correct replacement power supply for the dock, but became very confused when I found sites advertising the same replacement part for both the nx8220 and the EN488AA when clearly they are different because the plugs don't match. None specify the plug size so I don't know which is which.
Can anyone help me identify the correct replacement part? Or better still, is there a plug adapter available so I can use my existing power supply for the dock too?
Attached are two photos - the plug from the power adapter next to the inlet of the notebook (fits) and the dock (doesn't fit).
    Thanks,
    EddieD97

The pin in picture looks liek a 5mm pin and one one on docking station is a smart pin. So you would need something like the one in picture in this link.
In the picture observe the component in left hand bottom corner.
    http://www.amazon.com/HP-power-adapter-airplane-DV574A/dp/B0006VX07I/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_11?ie=UTF8&re...
I would say, take the adaptor to store and get one.
    Wish you luck,

  • Docking Station for Sony Vaio VGN-Z899GPB also know as PCG6122L

Can anyone supply the part number for the docking station for a Viao laptop model number above? Thanks,Tony

    Hi TonyD,
    Welcome to Sony Community!
We have limited information regarding the part number of the docking station (parts or accessories) of your unit. You may visit https://sony.encompass.com/ or call them for further assistance. They will be asking for the serial number or service tag number of your unit. They will be able to help you out as well about the parts and accessories of your unit.
    Hope the link helps.

  • Need docking station for Dv5t

    Greetings,
My 2 years old dv5t 1000 display just goes south and it costs $$$ to replace it. I'm looking for a docking station that would fit this model that I can plug in. What docking station would that be? I do have all needed stuff (monitor, mouse, keyboard...). I found the quick dock one but it does not have power button on the dock.
    Your guidance is appreciated.

  • Is there a docking station for the HP Compaq 625 with serial and parallel ports?

    Hi
I am looking for a docking station with at least 4 USB ports plus serial and parallel ports for the HP Compaq 625 running Windows 7.
If not, what are the cheapest laptops for which I could find such a docking station?
    Thanks
    soVision

The TravelSound ZEN X-fi looks like is might work, but it says nothing that it will. If it works I will buy it in second.
Look carefully to Creative's documentation for this docking station. It is not compatible with the X-Fi2 or X-Fi Style.
