World clock wrong times

Hello
Has anyone noticed on the new update on iso on the iPhones the world clock is showing the wrong times around the world.
Is anyone else getting this too.
Thanks
Ramo

Hmmm....
The good news - Mine just got 1.0.2 installed [I presume it failed the initial attempt because I'd run "ifuntastic" to get custom ringtones.....]
Anyway, I attacked the World clock (now back in its default "Cupertino" time zone - Which happens to be me, so I added New York, London and Madrid - All show up correctly, and for me very "elegantly":
Cupertino: 5:20pm today
New York: 8:20pm today
London: 1:20am tomorrow
Madrid: 2:20am tomorrow
Looks good to me.....Sorry, I thought I had it!,
Cheers,
Ian

  • IPhone clock - wrong time

iPhone clock does not have correct time for Argentina.
On a recent visit, setting the clock to Buenos Aires, it gave the same time as Sao Paolo, Brazil. In fact there is a one hour time difference.
Any clues on how to get this glitch corrected?

Are you referring to thew World Clock feature, or manually setting the iPhone's date and time?

  • Computer clock wrong time

I checked the time on my computer and it was slow by about 4:25.
So I clicked on the time in the menubar and it changed to the correct time.
Curious to find out what happened and why.
    Any thoughts?

  • My iphone 3gs has started showing the wrong time  and date. All was fine until this afternoon when it changed.  My apps have the right time and date. However the world clock is wrong. I have to turn off the automatic time setting to get the right time.

My iphone is showing the wrong time and date. All was well until sometime this afternoon when it changed...  to Nov 5 (2 days prior to today), and about 9 hours and some minutes before the actual time.  The world clock for my time zone shows the same wrong date and time. My calender shows the same wrong date and time.  The phone can not find my time zone any more.   The only fix I found was to turn off the automatic setting for time.  What is  happening? Ideas?

    just sorted mine went to
    settings-mail,contacts,calender-timezone support
then turned it off then on tapped time zone and typed london
    this did sort mine

  • Nano World time displaying wrong time!!

I just got hold of my ipod nano this morning. Was so looking forward to it till i found out later on that it wouldn't work with my 3rd party USB2 pci card. That was fine, i just used USB1.1 which took really really really long.
Finally, when it was done, i got to fiddling with it. I toggled to the World Clock and thought it'd be cool to fiddle with it. What i found was that the world clock is displaying all the WRONG times. I'm currently in Perth, Australia which is +8GMT. The ipod's main clock and date are all set correctly, and timezone set to Beijing, which is +8GMT equivalent.
But, when i get the world clock feature to display with my time, it displays 7AM (the real time is 3PM). It's the same with the other regions/times as well. Anybody else have this problem?
Hope somebody comes up with a fix
    Thanks!

First, u pop the CD that came with the nano into your computer. Then, you locate the ipod software updater. Just launch that program, click and restore and follow the on scree instructions.
You should be good to go after that

  • Widget world clock shows incorrect time

widget world clock shows incorrect time.. how can i fix this?

There are two possibilities: (1) your computer's time is wrong. Open System Preferences, select the Date & Time tab, and either set the time manually or select a time server. If you choose the time server click on the Time Zone tab and choose your correct time zone. (2) click on the i on the World Clock widget and select a city near you (that's in the same time zone as yours.)

  • World clocks have wrong hour

The world clocks are showing the wrong hour.
    This is my situation:
    * I live in Belgium, which is GMT+1
    * I have selected GMT+1 at Settings > Date & time > Time Zone
    * I have entered the correct hour
    * Because of Daylight savings time, the hour changed recently: 2AM became 1AM
    * I changed the hour accordingly, and noticed that the "world clocks" (Extras > Clocks) aren't showing the correct hour. Right now it should be 19:17 and it's displaying 20:17 for Brussels, Belgium.
I'm not sure if it was displaying correctly before the Daylight savings time.
    Anyone else having this problem?

I have the same issue with my Classic, especially in cities that are not affected by DST.
Unfortunately the ipod does not feature editing the time yourself. Edit for the developers just mean picking up another city, nothing else.

  • IPhone World Clock doesn't show the correct times

How do I get the iPhone to show the correct World Clock times. I have the time zone set to San Diego and the clock time is correct. When I set San Diego as one of the World Clock times it shows a time 7 hours behind. New York is 4 hours behind instead of 3 hours ahead, the same 7 hour bust.

    emr1100 ,
Have you tried resetting the phone.? Hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button until it restarts. If that doesn't work, try a restore....please back up your data with a sync before you restore the phone. If that doesn't work take it back to the Apple stor and let them take a look at it. They will fix it or give you another phone. Another idea...call AT&T to see if sometining can be "reset" on their end. You never know ...that might work also.

  • XFCE's Clock shows the wrong time...

XFCE's clock shows the wrong time constantly (it always shows the GMT time), but whenever I run hwclock -r, it tells me the correct time. Can anyone help fix it?

Well, I think I found what was wrong at last. It seems that the timezone wasn't set in the rc.conf, even though the TZ variable was set. I changed it, but will have to restart in a bit to see if it works.

  • World Clock doesn't reflect new time in Santiago

World clock on my iPad and also iPhone don't reflect to new time in Santiago, who went one hour forward on Saturday night.
    Any ideas?

The iPad, iPod, iPhone doesn't recognize the change. Officially (to the world) the "summer time hour" change last days of October in Chile, not early September. You need to change the hour manually and choose Buenos Aires time hour.
Three years ago, the Chilean government forward the summer time hour.
    I hope this help.

  • Help with time issue needed.  World Clock times 1hr ahead of correct time

although the time on the iPhone home screen is right (top of screen). That is, since I'm in central time, the iPhone shows, say 5:14 (time now) but a city in World Clock in central zone shoes 6:14. Other cities in other zones are off by the +1hour amount. Many calls to Apple and AT&T, now the finger pointing has started.
Multiple phones in my location have the same problem. All three in our family, two owned by a colleague and 2 on display at the AT&T store.
The problem clears up when I'm well out of the area, say Nashville or Bowling Green but reappears when I'm back home in West Kentucky. AT&T says their network is fine, must be the phone or app; Apple says since multiple phones with several versions of the operating system are showing the issue, must be AT&T.
    Ideas?

I am having the same issue (clocks not matching) with my iPod Classic. Definitely not an AT&T issue!

  • Getting GMT time to make a world clock

I'm currently living in Greenland with most of my family in Denmark. There's a time difference of 4 hours, and I want to make a world clock on my web-page, showing the time in Greenland and the current time on the computer logged on. I use a script from Kurt Grigg from the JavaScript Kit-web page, but I can?t use the time.gethour() command, 'cause with this I only get the local time on the computer, not how it?s placed according to GMT. Do anyone know a work-around to this problem?

  • World Clock Time Zone Errors

Does anyone have the answer to this please. My 9500 communicator world clock facility has an error I can't seem to correct. I have it set to Home city - London and distant city Madrid (I use Madrid for Alicante) as I travel between London and Alicante frequently. There is only ever 1 hour difference in the time at either end BUT the Nokia software dictates a continual persistant TWO hours difference. Help appreciated - thanks. Dave

Had tried this before and noticed for some reason I could have one or the other turned on - never both.
Have today downloaded the latest clock release and now CAN have both turned on.
    Thanks for the tip mobile_maniac.
