I registered my new Lumia 521 as part of the world of apps promotion about a week ago but I have never received an email from Nokia with the code to redeem. I used the email associated with this account. The website says 72 hours. What's going on?

World of Apps Redemtion Issue (No luck trying to m...

November 22, I ordered two new Lumia's. A 1520 and a 2520. Both should qualify for the Nokia world of apps promotion but currenlty I am not able to successfully redeem...
I registered and tried submitting my product IMEI for my two new Lumia's and while one was declined (the 1520 IEMI) the other succeeded after a few tries (the 2520).
Once I recieved my voucher though via email i was unable to redeem it, it was rejected as already claimed.
So trying to find contact infomation to inquire about how to properly redeem my newly registered devices so I can get my world of apps access. I should get two 20$ vouchers... one for each device.
There is no customer support email other then these discussions.
Is this futile or can someone help me out with my current issue?

App World & Facebook App disappeared

After updating App World & Facebook App, both apps are disappeared from the device, showing in the application management but both applications icon are disappeared from the main list and if I am dowloading them again message appearing that the application already exist. Is anyone can help me to fix this issue?

Version: v6.0.0.284, (Bundle 862, Platform 6.4.0.120)

Then you will need to make a backup of your device using the Desktop Software. Once you make the backup you will need to wipe the device. After you wipe the device see if those applications show up. If they do then something in your device settings is affecting the display of those icons. You can then use the Desktop Software to selectively restore just the important databases like messages, calendar, contacts, etc. Don't do a full restore as you may end up with the same problem.

Is there an official Rugby World Cup App for iPhone coming any time soon?

Its good to know that I am not the only one left wondering about this!
I expected the RWC 2011 website to post some information regarding this, though it appears they have something set up with Blackberry already.
I'm holding out, hoping that an official app will come along, but some of the non-official ones seem quite decent.
There seems to be a real lack of iDevice and Andriod official services/support for this RWC, which is a real shame because this would be the first RWC where you could combine the sport with great technology and communications.
To me it appears the organizers missed a great oppertuinity or suck at planning/promoting.
An iPhone/iPad official app would be fantastic!

Nokia 'Social Apps' & 'World Clock' apps are not working, it says that "invalid application, delete item? If i click yes it says system file not delete. How to fix this problem? Thanks

Is there a world clock app like the one on the ipod touch?

On my ipod touch there is a world clock app to see times from selected countries. Is there an Ipad app for world clock?

None that come with the iPad. You can try to look on the App Store.

App world/twitter app

Can anyone offer a solution as to why for tuesday and today 7/24 and 7/26, my app world and twitter app will not open?? I do not have the latest versions because I heard they are not better and it is really getting annoying now?

Actually, this KB has been provided many times in relation to the AW portion of your issue:
KB29422 BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World 4.0.0.63 to 4.0.0.65
As for the twitter icon, please be sure that you look everywhere for it (homescreen, downloads, applications, etc.) as well as ensure that "Show All" is active, in case the icon is hidden. Also be certain that the app is actually installed:

If it is not installed, then there would be no icon...

Number of downloads on BB world's App Page?

Why BlackBerry World does not show the number of downloads on an app page? Or does BB World team have such plan of showing it in future?

karthikpalanivelu, if you really want this, I can really recommend Distimo (http://www.distimo.com/). You can very easily see how many of your apps have been downloaded or bought. You can see historic data about your apps. And that all on one page. I have some applciations in different mobile app stores, so a website that brings everything together is very welcome.
The first time you will have to wait about 24-48 hours until your results are loaded from the stores. But I can tell you now, that is worth the wait

Since updating AppWorld has nothing to do with the Facebook app there is no way to know why your Facebook app won't work. Did you update anything else after updating Appworld? Do you have a BB data plan on your account? This isn't always necessary any more but either wifi or some type of data plan is required for the apps to work..

My World uninstalled Apps

Under Blackberry App World/My World, my 9300 shows a list of my uninstalled apps. Is there a way to delete the uninstalled list off My World?

Those are on the App World Server and not your phone. Really nothing to fix. As stated just a list in case you want one back.

App world new app icon

I have the Torch 9850 and this morning I got an icon in the tray on top of the screen saying I had 1 new app upgrade but when I go into App world I have no upgrades. I did a battery pull and the icon still shows up. I deleted app world and reinstalled and it still is showing 1 app upgrade. I checked each app I had for upgrades and none have one. Then when I deleted App World and reinstalled it now I have no apps listed in App world as installed. How do I fix this?

Blackberry world saying apps have updates

Anyone else find that Blackberry World has the asterisk saying you have apps to update, but actually you don't?

When you go into BlackBerry World then click on All in the lower left corner, does the asterisk appear on My World?

BlackBerry World Total App Count?

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone new what was the total app count for BlackBerry World, this includes all versions of the OSs (BlackBerry OS [4.5.0+], BlackBerry Tablet OS, and BlackBerry 10 OS). A reply would be awesome, thanks.

Look in downloaded panel. If not then look in folders it has to be somewhere. You can also search on the phone itself. Top bar usually has a white strip to type in. Type in app world and click search in menu.

BBC World News App

I have searched in the App Catalog to find out if there is an app for BBC World News. No luck. I am basically looking for something like the New York Times app. Is there one for BBC?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried that app but when I click on a news item, it takes me to the browser thereby opening another app. This is why I was looking for a dedicated app for BBC. My current fix to is use BBC mobile website and have a shotcut for this in the launcher. A seperate app like NYT woudl be great though.

MY BBM , BLACKBERRY WORLD, FACEBOOK APPS AND OTHER IM APPS STOPPED WORKING ON MY HOME WiFi CONNECTION

Please I am wondering if anyone will have solution to my BBM problem , I am presently using my blackberry on home wiFi connection as I have ended my contract with my network provider(virgin). The BBM, IM applications ( yahoomessenger, window live, AIM, talk) ,my facebook apps and blackberry world were all working fine even with different wifi connection. But recently I am unable to use all these above mentioned applications more importantly my BBM as I needed it badly to communicate. Initially , I thought it was the internet connection at home but I found out the browser and two other applications I have are working perfectly. I don't know if anyone will have an idea of any solution to this problem.
I would appreciate any effort towards solving this problem.

BBM requires an active BlackBerry data plan. As for others, try downloading the latest version of App World from www.blackberry.com/appworld and then update your Facebook and Twitter apps, most should work via WiFi only.
