Worldwide apple 1 year warranty is true ?

I bought an Iphone 5 model A1428 on a store located in the USA a couple of days ago. The seller told me I would have 1 year warranty in my country (Brazil).
When I arrived in Brazil and configured my iphone, I noticed the rear camera is not working. Hardware issue since it persists after reinstalling and upgrading ios. I contacted Apple support in Brazil and they said they would not exchange the product or provide any support to my phone even know it is in warranty period due to technology divergency. Well, if I have to repair my new iphone 5 that came in with manufacturing defects by myself, the apple 1 year worldwide warranty is not true? Do anyone know how to contact worldwide apple customer care to get my rights? Thanks!

Those two lines of warranty means everything. And your ranting will not change the fact that the warranty is not worldwide. I suggest you take it up with Apple. If you want to complain you can do it here:

And the Brazilians that you saw buying the phone were buying it , not because of the "worldwide warranty" but because the iPhone is "supposedly" cheaper in the US due to the draconian Brazilian import/manufacturing regulations. Since most iPhones sold in Brazil are made in Brazil, APple Brazil will not take or service a phone purchased elsewhere.

The iPhone comes with a 1 year warranty.
This covers defects but not accidental damage.

As Peter says above, only an Apple Store genius can advise you.
But to further clarify, you seem to postulate that if Apple helps you, the cure would be a replacement. That is not necessarily true. Let them look at it and advise you what the remedy is. They may offer you nothing (saying it's your fault), or they may offer you a solution (keeping your current iPhone), or possibly a replacement.

IF it is a manufacturing defect and you bought the device from Apple or an authorized Apple retailer, then take it into Apple.

My iPhone 4 lock button broke, will Apple fix/replace it for free under the one year warranty?

I've had my iPhone 4 for just under a year now and a couple weeks ago the lock button broke. At first, it was just difficult to press down and now it's just completely stuck. I've been using the assistive touch but it's kind of a hassle. Also, I was having issues with my speakers previously so I went to get it fixed and they said my phone has water damage and I would need to pay to fix it. If there is water damage then they will likely conclude that your issues are a result of that and you will have to pay.
But don't ask us, ask them. We're users and this have no idea what Apple will say in your case.

To replace your phone's screen costs $109US and I don't see why having Apple replace the screen would void your warranty.

If I am thinking of purchasing a 2nd hand ipod Touch but the seller has lost the sales receipt - does that mean I am not going to be covered by the Apple 1 year warranty on this product?

You should not need the receipt.

to check the warranty date.
If it is not correct, the receipt will have to be faxed to Apple to update it to the correct date.

If it's due to a manufacturing defect, the warranty will cover it. If it's due to accidental damage, it'll cost to get it fixed unless it happened during an authorized repair.
