Worldwide Warranty doesn't work

My Macbook 2.16, with only five months of use, burned the logicboard alone. I do shutdown, and it never turned back. Simply died.... :_(
As I am in Brazil, sought technical assistance in São Paulo, accepted by the guarantee worldwide. However now makes more than 50 days and the macbook has yet to repair.
I do not know how Apple works on other representatives around the world, but in Brazil has NOT work.

I am informed that all parts and equipment that came to Brazil, is dependent on a single company and is not Apple Computer Brasil LTDA. Apple in Brazil has a phone customer support, which accompany each application, and that they are just not finding more excuses for delay of repair.
However much time has passed, much like that Apple USA, providenciasse the support necessary to meet its customers including Brazil.
I know that I live far away, but love Apple, in the last 15 years has never had a disappointment so great that love with a brand.

    You SHOULD be disappointed, but the target of your disappointment should be at yourself, not at Apple.  The iPhone warranty has never been worldwide, ever.  YOU should have done your research, my friend.  But, of course, it's certainly easier to blame others for our own shortcomings, isn't it?

    The warranty is not and has never been International.  Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin.  The only exception is for devices sold in the EU where the EU is treated as one country for warranty and support purposes.

    Have you tried any troubleshooting steps, like resetting you iPhone, for example?  Or restoring it?
    If not by all means do so because your problem could be caused by software glitches that could be solved resetting or restoring.
    Warranty is for one year from date of purchase and two years if you bought Apple Care at the time of purchase. If your iPhone has a hardware issue within warranty, it would be replaced by Apple.  If it is already out of warranty, you might be eligible for an out of warranty replacement where you pay a much lower amount but this varies according to the country and currency, so it is better to check with Apple or with an authorized reseller.

    Sorry, but the warranty on the iPhone is country-specific (or, in the case of an EU iPhone, specific to the EU). An Australian iPhone can be serviced only in Australia. You'll have to ship it to someone you know back in Australia to take or send it to Apple or an authorized service center. Once repaired, if you're going to be living in Italy for any length of time, I'd suggest selling the iPhone to someone in Australia and purchasing on there in Italy so you have local service and support.

    I wouldn't suggest it though, since it may void your warrantee. Apple will replace it if you bring it in. The genius bar guys aren't too bright, well most of them. But they'll go through the usual diagnosis steps then issue you a replacement if they have them in stock.
    I have to admit, Apple has one of the best replacement services that I've ever experience. If you're familiar with costco, the return/exchange process is very quick and painless.

    My Mini Displayport doesn't work any more with VGA, DVi, just with the Apple Cinema Display. It started one week ago, I've tried many different monitors, but it seems to be that it only works with the Apple Cinema Display, Thunderbolt Ethernet Adapter is also accepted but nothing else. PRAM, SMC, booting from an Harddisk with Mavericks (I'm on 10.10.2), Safe Mode, nothing works. I have a Macbook Air, 11 " from Mid 2013, no warranty any more. Today I was at Bense, a german reseller (thank you guys for your effort), they did the same tests and some more, but also found nothing. Is there anyone with the same problems and a solution for it?

    Does it work on the other command key? I typically use the one to the left of the space bar, and at one point of time, it stopped working. but then i started to use the command key to the right of the keyboard which worked. but, then i started using the one that wasn't working, and just clicking slowly rather than quickly, and now it seems to work again. Don't know why . . . but that is what happened for me.

    they dont do repairs..is much easier for them to give u new handset..which u have to pay for if is out of warranty.

    i use to work as an technician engineer in a phone shop still have access to warehouse with replacement parts.
    if u live in UK and willing to pay £50 i can repair it for u.i'm still cheaper than apple store

  • IMac - Display doesn´t work after restart

    My iMac 21 Display doesn´t work after restart. If I turn it off and 1 hour later I want use it again the iMac shows the white screen with the mac logo and then the display goes off. I connected an external display to check if the iMac was ON and with the external display I can login and do everything but the iMac Display doesn´t work .
    If I turn it off and wait 3 or 4 hours  and then turn it back on the display works OK.
    This is very strange behavior I have spent hours and hours trying to fine the solution or a similar issue but nothing so I am looking help here at apple.com
    BTW When I bougth the iMac 21 there were some spots over the display so the display was replaced by the provider. The warranty has expired by now.

    To tell you the truth, I don't know if they have to repalce the LCD panel or what they do for a bad backlight. In this reality of block or assembly replacement it probably involves repalcing the panel and not the backlight component. Don't know what it would cost. You'd have to ask that of a service center.

    Besweet, I'm having the very same problem with 60GB colour which was bought new and worked for 6 months before suddenly just not being recognised by PC. I hadn't changed anything at all.
    I've followed all troubleshooting advice and reinstalled and updated iTunes and iPod updater software but all troubleshooting routes seem to hit the dead end of either the need to access the iPod via the PC (which isn't possible as it's not showing up at all) or the iPod in disc mode stuck at "ok to disconnect".
    It's still under 1yr warranty so will have to take to a dealer.
    I'm sorry that's not much help for you but at least you know it's not a unique problem.
