Worst After Sales Ever from Apple

Question

In May of this year my 7 month year old G5 Imac had its logic board replaced whihc took 2 months !!!!
2 weeks ago the hard drive has gone !
Amysys who are repairing the machine on behalf of Apple are still waiting for a new hard drive from Apple to be sent.
So thats 10 weeks out of my Apple Care warranty that I have lost.
All I seem to get is "we dont know why Apple havent sent the part"
This is not the first time ...absolutely unbelievable !
Anybody have any ideas on what I should do next !
I will be definately going back to Windows for my next computer

Picking up the point made by Brenda and Neil, I think that the poor response isn't confined to UK customers - in my experience, it's a problem related to Apple Europe. As far as I know (I'm open to correction!) all calls to Apple in Europe go to their call centre in Ireland - this goes for calls to Apple Stores, support, customer relations, whatever.
And I think that the quality of service can be (but not necessarily always/usually is) much much lower than US customers seem to enjoy. Like Brenda, I once had an issue (in my case, concerning the Apple Store) and called Apple. After a couple of calls I got past the Apple Store Switzerland person (very unhelpful he was, too) and managed to get through to someone in Customer Relations, who gave me her name, and a case number, acknowledged I had a bona fide request that needed follow-up, and promised to get back to me that very afternoon or at the very worst the following day. That was just over two years ago. I'm still waiting. Thank goodness she didn't ask me to hold the line.
The same thing happened when I wrote several letters politely asking for a refund for a CD that Apple charged me for but that I hadn't ordered. None of the letters were even acknowledged and I never got the refund.
(Happy end: my friendly local Apple dealer solved my problem. Moral of the story, for me at least - don't expect too much when phoning or writing to Apple Europe.)
