Worst luck . . . Shattered iPhone 4s Screen

I recieved my iPhone 4s in January 2012. In may the speaker started acting funny, so I recieved a refurbished phone, free of charge because I was still under warranty. When this occured I was notified that this means my one-year warranty was restarted, so the one year began with the new refurbished phone.
Today has been one of those days you just want to curl up and go to bed. So off to a rough start in the morning, I was running a little late to my Physics Lecture because I was preparing for an interview immediately afterwards. By the time I got there, all the middle section front seats were taken, which is where I usually sit. Therefore, since I didn't bring my glasses, my next best option was to sit as close as possible, which led me to the left most area that unfortunately has a drop infront of the first row.
A few minutes before class was to begin a girl wanted to sit in the row I was in, which is a very small space. So she wouldn't have to squeeze through, I got up and let her in. Then her friend came and I did the same thing. Then they decided they would rather sit in the top row of the middle sections. Once again, I got up and as they were trying to get out, smash, and my iphone is laying face down a few feet below where I'm standing. All I got was a "that *****".
So yes, I do typically have the worst luck possible.
I am a college student, I have practically no money. Any suggestions on what I can do?

You can take it to an Apple store and they will exchange for an out of warranty
replacement factory refurbished for $199 Free was a long time ago now Apple offer
Applecare+
Apple do not repair and if any other organisation opens it you waive the remainng warranty
and Apple can tell

Replace shattered iPhone 5 screen

My screen shattered. I was told by AppleCare that some stores can replace just the screen, but they don't have a list of those stores. I've called several of the Los Angeles stores and each of them has told me I have to buy a new phone, and that AppleCare doesn't know what it's talking about. Does anyone know the true story?

I cannot vouch for what you were told, but I can tell you that's false information. However, as Peter posted, Apple will do an iPhone 5 out-of-warranty exchange for $229 + tax + shipping.

Shattered iPhone 5 screen with insurance.

I purchased the 1 time 100 dollar fee insurance when I bought the phone. The lock button started to act up and a few days later I shattered the screen and the lock button rarely works. How does it work when I go to get this fixed? Is it just a new screen or the whole phone? ( I will be purchasing an otter box afterward)

Shattered iphone 5 screen

hi all, i recently dropped my iphone 5 and shattered the front glass screen, the touch screen is still working normally but i am concerned as the glass is so badly damaged that it is starting to lose small pieces of the glass. Unfortunatly i do not have the phone insured as it was quite expensive when i aquired it and planned to get it insured later.
Can i get the screen fixed for a reasonable price as everywhere i have looked seem to be charging around £200. This price is way too expensive for me to manage but i am worried if it is not fixed soon the phone will break completely as the screen is losing glass.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

At Apple Store perfect replacement iPhone 5 exactly like yours, same color, same GB is £ 186. Not cheap, but it is fairly quick, few minutes if you make Genius reservation, and keeps your original Warranty in place. If you purchased AppleCare + Plus then it would be much cheaper.

Then the bottom of the support document states that if you do not have access to the device (which unfortunately because of the screen issue you do not) to contact Apple Care. That is what you need to do.

No. There is a $49 deductible. You get 2 $49 replacements in the 2 year period.

I hope yours doesn't break anytime soon. Because I have found out that no one can repair them yet locally at least. unless you send them to Apple.
After leaving dinner 2 nights ago My iPhone 6 dropped out of my pocket as I was getting into my car. It was less than 2 feet and I had a case on my phone and still my screen shattered. I have to say I was really shocked that it even broke. My iPhone 5 was dropped dozens of times on all kinds of hard surfaces and never broke.
I figured that I would get it take care of if I called Verizon the next day, but they told me they couldn't do anything. Then I remembered the local Apple store helped me last year when my suspend button wasn't working on my 5 and those Apple guys made myself, a cautious and doubtful customer walk out very happy with my first experience with Apple. I really didn't expect to have had a resolution when I went, but I did and they exceeded my expectations and I told my friends how great the Apple store and support was.
So I called the store and was put on hold, after waiting a a couple of minutes to talk to someone, I figured I would just create an appointment and take an hour lunch, so I could get there, and see if the local Apple store could fix my iPhone 6. I figured I didn't need to call. Why wouldn't they be able to help me?
So I made it to the local Apple and met with one of the Employees and showed him my iPhone 6 which had tape and a screen protector on it to keep the glass from falling apart. The employee told me that they could replace the screen for $109, that was great news, only the store didn't have the equipment to fix it yet and probably wouldn't for a couple weeks, but If I wanted they would swap mine for a new one for $299. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to shell out for that, I just got the my iPhone 6 the other week. The guy said well if you can live with it just check back in a week or 2 and hopefully they will have the equipment. Needless to say I left there a little disappointed.
I really needed to get my phone fixed. When I got back to the office I called around and found that nobody could repair them yet. The guy at Batteries Plus even said that he hoped that they would be able to repair them soon, because he already had people calling and stopping by wanting to get the iPhone 6 screens repaired.
I figured I wasn't going to give up. I thought that maybe if I get in touch with the someone directly through Apple.com, there might be another solution. I got in touch with them through the chat support and I could send it in for repair. I told them that I only have one phone and I can't send it in and and be with out a phone for 5-7 day while my screen is fixed. I felt like this script went back and forth a little bit and then I was told once again that I could send it in and have it fixed and that I could just use another phone. I had to once again tell her I didn't have another phone and that I just traded my iPhone 5 in to get the iPhone 6 and had I know that I was going to have these kind of problem I would have just kept my iPhone 5. I thanked her for her help and told her that I was getting frustrated.
I was told the she was going to transfer me to her supervisor. I was told by Ali, "The Supervisor" that he was reviewing the chat and he would be right with me. I thought great he will see what has already transpired and hopefully I can get my phone fixed without having to send it in. Nope same script as the girl before. I was also told to try another Apple store an hour away from me and maybe they could replace my screen. I am sorry, but maybe they could replace it? These are Apple stores! How is it that Apple does not know whether one of its store can fix my screen or not. So I am a little more frustrated. I told them I work 11-12 hour a day 6 days a week. At some point I was told something like I could pay $299 then I would get reimbursed after it was fixed and only end up paying $109. Really It was some crap like that. I guess he missed were I said I didn't have $299 otherwise I would have replaced it at the store.
Really though by this time I was done, the frustration was not worth it. I figured my phone is taped up no more shards of glass to fall off or stick to my finders. I will wait until whenever they finally get the equipment that they need at my local Apple store to repair my screen. You guys probably should have had that equipment ready at stores when the iPhone 6 was released.

I've resetted it when this happens, with no luck.
I've restored it from back up, and the problem still persists.

I had that problem as well and the apple support suggested to turn off the LTE-mode to have a running system and try to exchange the micro-sim by my provider.
THAT was not an option!
BUT it seems to solve my problem in the following way after trying a lot of possibilties:
In the menue properties/help (don't know the exact english word, because I run my phone in german)
I switched on the nice feature 'flash LED' by incomming calls, msgs, and push infos.
Today the flash feature was responding to different push notes very slowly.
By switching this feature off the LTE-mode-tochscreen-not-responding-problem disappeared.
We tried this on a other iphone, not having the metioned problem, and switched the LED-flash:
the problem appeared. Switching the LED-flash off: problem disappeared!
It seems to be a bug that the LED will hint Calls and MSGs in combination with the LTE mode!
treated my phone very hard today to double check, but its still ok.

Please fix that issue in the next update.

I can't give you an exact coast but it would be around 40-60$ if your lucky sometimes it goes for over 100 dollars. You can also try going to the apple store and they'll give you different suggestions. On what you can do :)

My iphone 4 screen looks negative, when i take a screenshot its normal. I have had the screen replaced because i shattered my screen last year. I have also had the motherboard replaced in the phone a few weeks back. It is not doing this because of white on black or inverted colors. i think it might be a hardware problem. If anyone else has had the problem please share your info. I just woke up and it was messed up the night before it was perfect, i didnt drop it or get it wet either before it happened. I bought an iPhone 5 in New York last December. Now I live in Bogotá, Colombia and I can't find an authorized service center because they said that only if I bought it from a local carrier they attend the warranty.
My iPhone 5 screen is flickering randomly, the phone freezes and the screen turns black… The only way to make it work is to reboot with Home and Lock buttons pressed at the same time. But in the process most of the times it flickers again, and again, and again. I couldn't find a reason to identify what could be causing the issue. Also sometimes when it freezes, some group applications get ungrouped, causing a big mess.
I already tried to restore the phone, remove the SIM, delete all applications with no luck.
Any sugestion? Thanks!

Was this phone ever jalbroken?
If restoring as new, without using a backup, didn't help, there is certainly a hardware problem that only replacement can fix. Your warranty is void unless you return to the USA. Short of that, finding a local independent iPhone repair center would be your only option
