Would apple replace a logic board for iPhone 5 if still under warranty?
There has been a logic board failure within the iPhone 5, no water damage to it just switched off and never came back on. Once happened to my iPod Touch and i just got a new one (happened within a month of me buying it and i bought it in HMV)
The warranty ends in December, so will Apple fix it/replace it for free?

Apple will have to examine the iPhone to determine the cause of failure...as long as it is not due to user inflicted damage, then it should be covered.

Sounds crazy I know. But I read a bunch of different threads on many sites saying they replace it for free and some say they don't. Let me explain why I believe I shouldn't pay to get this repaired. Since I bought my MBP I've had problems from it. When I got it I kept getting the message saying...you need to restart your computer...otherwise known as a Kernal Panic. I took it to apple , they couldn't find the problem so they replaced the hard drive for free. This didn't fix the problem but I did not feel like having to continue to take my computer to apple because I do all of my work on my computer so I really didn't the time and I just worked around it. Just recently my computer has began to shut off randomly while using certain programs such as Chrome and Apple Motion. After putting a thread on here I've learned that this is a kernel panic once again but being caused by the logic board. Now I don't know if I received a faulty computer but day one I've been having these problems. Which is the reason I'm asking will Apple repair what wasn't caused by the user?
I need to add that I love Apple and their products, I've had and have many computers and other devices from them that function flawlessly. This MacBook Pro is the only thing I'm having a problem with.

Why in the world does it cost sooo much to replace the logic board for your macbook pro.
As if apple hasn't made enough money to allow some people to save some money..Do you think Apple should reward your clumsiness or lack of caution by giving you a logic board for free, or at cost? Come to think of it, shouldn't they just give you a free new computer, and be grateful to you for taking it off their hands?

Defective iPhone 5/ How do I know if my iphone is still under warranty?
Basically, just a few days ago I started experiencing a problem with my Sleep/Wake button and I noticed that it only works when pressed on the far left side. If I were to go to the Apple Store to try and it replaced, how can I tell if my iPhone is still under warranty and if they will replace it before driving all the way over to the Apple Store? (which is about 2 hours away from me.)

My iPhone 4 ( still under warranty ) has a dead gyroscope. Will Apple replace my iPhone for free?
I recently upgraded to IOS 7. Once I upgrade I noticed that the gyroscope in my phone was acting strange. Just recently it went completely dead. If I take my phone to the Apple store and they verify it as a hardware issue will they replace my iPhone? It is still under warranty. Also since Apple stopped making the iphone 4 will they give me a newer version? Thanks
If your warranty is still valid and there is no evidence of abuse (water damage, dropping, etc.) your phone will be replaced for free with the same model refurbished iPhone 4.

IPhone Charger still under warranty?
I have an iPhone still under warranty and while pulling the cable out of the wall charger a piece of the charger (inside the charger) broke off. I do not believe that I pulled the charger too hard but removing the cable from the charger was always difficult from the moment I got my phone. I know that all accesseries that come with the phone are under warranty, but would my charger still be considered under warranty if a piece actually broke off from the inside of the charger while removing the cable?
Your best option would be to visit and Apple store genius bar and have the iPhone and charger checked by the techs and replaced if faulty. You could also contact Apple customer support for service, http://www.apple.com/contact or click the Support button at the upper left part of this page and follow the links to iPhone service.
The best approach, though would be a visit to the Apple store if you can do that. -
It hasn't been a year since she bought it, so both Sprint and Apple have her phone under warranty, if I'm correct. Yes, she did jailbreak it. But she has restored since then. No. Jailbreaking voids the warranty and any AppleCare agreement entirely.
It is not always possible to return a jailbroken phone to a pristine state.
The phone is now unsupportable by Apple or on these forums. -

Black screen after they replaced my logic board twice
I have been getting black screens on my mac book about a month or so after i bought it i take it in all the time they say we ran tests nothing is wrong with it then i get it home and i get another black screen finally after a couple months the first time they replaced my logic board / graphics card. It continued to happen so i took it back in they ran tests said they could find nothing wrong i showed them a video of my macbook pro black screening they said they would check the memory they did and said it was loose so they replaced my logic board AGAIN now on the second day of getting my macbook pro back it has black screened AGAIN this was in windows boot camp but when it happens on that side it always happens on the mac side can anyone give me any advice / suggestions on what to do about this please?

It continued to happen so i took it back in they ran tests said they could find nothing wrong i showed them a video of my macbook pro black screening they said they would check the memory they did and said it was loose so they replaced my logic board AGAIN now on the second day of getting my macbook pro back it has black screened AGAIN this was in windows boot camp but when it happens on that side it always happens on the mac side can anyone give me any advice / suggestions on what to do about this please?

Can you replace the keyboard of a MacBook Pro without replacing the logic board?
I had a bit of water damage on my MacBook Pro. I took it to the IT department, and he got the computer to work. The logic board and hard drive were intact. Here's the issues I'm having: the keyboard is next to destroyed. The buttons barely respond, and when they do, it's random letters that type, and they type without me pressing anything. I asked him about replacing the keyboard and what that may cost me. He told me that replacing the keyboard would mean replacing the logic board because they're integrated together, so essentially, that would mean replacing the entire laptop itself. I've been looking on here, and have seen that people offered other uninformed customers to go look for replacement costs for the keyboard, leading me to believe that it is replaceable without replacing the logic board. Can anyone confirm or deny this claim? I would greatly appreciate it. I gave the laptop to the IT department for the weekend. He's going to dry and dry it out over the next few days, so hopefully that works. I don't know what generation macbook this is, but I got it brand new in early October. Look at the illustrated installation directions at same site. You may be able to do it yourself.
Overlooking details: with spillage, things can go wrong that aren't immediately apparent. Just something to keep in mind. No one can tell you if that's the case with yours or not. -

If it's not working as a result of a built-in fault, yes. If there's damage that you've caused, probably not.

Where can I purchase a Logic Board for a 24" Apple Cinema Display?
My 24" Cinema Display started to flicker and black out shortly after I purchased my most recent MacBook Pro. Apple felt that the issue was the MacBook Pro so they replaced it. The problem continued so they suggested I take the Cinema Display to the Genius Bar. The display was out of warranty and the Apple Genius felt the issue was a bad display even after I told him I smelt silicon burning just before it went out completely. He said that he could "depot" the unit and have it repaired for ~$600. Due to the high cost of repair, I chose to purchase a new Thunderbolt Display instead. Recently, I opened the old Cinema Display and found that the Logic Board is fried. I have ordered a new board from 2 different Web retailers. Both accepted the purchase as "in stock" but then stated they could not get the board from Apple. Where can I purchase the Logic Board for a 24" Apple Cinema Display?

My husband bought each of us a macbook pro. His was hooked up to the cinema display. After about a year, his MBP started to suffer intermittent failures where it would suddenly shut off and have to be hard rebooted. After 2 years, the power or logic board on his MBP completely failed. He bought a new MBP and a Thunderbolt display, and I inherited his Cinema Display for use with my original MBP.
After one month of use with the cinema display, my MBP started to have the same problems. It has to be hard rebooted almost every time I disconnect or reconnect with the cinema display. I went to the Genius bar, and they confirmed that my MBP logic board needs to be replaced; I'm just holding out until spring break to take it back in, as they say it may take a week. Fortunately, I have AppleCare for my MBP.
Our cinema display is 3-4 years old, but it looks like, even though it appears to be working, I should probably get rid of it. I can't keep frying computers!
I'm posting this because I'm wondering how many others are experiencing this problem. -
Will Apple do a Logic Board Replacement?
I have a 2.16 C2D Merom Blackbook. Because of the way Leopard hogs ram, the original 2GB capacity (I currently have 1) may not be enough soon. I am going to switch to the Blackbook from a 4 year old PC as my main machine in 6 or 8 monts.
My question is: does anyone know if Apple will replace the logic board in my Macbook with a new one with Santa Rosa and a 2.6 C2D for the regular fee as it just bit the dust (I am assuming the processor is permanently attached to the logic board, otherwise I would keep the current 2.16 C2D? I am guessing it would be >$300, but it would probably be worth it to get a Santa Rosa logic board, 4 gigs of corsair ram and a 250GB hard drive.
Also, does anyone know if the pre Santa Rosa Macbook will support 3GB of ram, as the chipset supposedly supports it, even though it would break the dual-channelness?
EDIT: Forgot to say its Parallels that is the real memory drain that could drive me to need 4 gigs of ram. MacOSX, Windows XP and Ubuntu at the same time would be sweeeeet!

Also, does anyone know if the pre Santa Rosa Macbook will support 3GB of ram, as the chipset supposedly supports it, even though it would break the dual-channelness?
They support 4 GB the regular c2d could use 3gb and the original cd 2 gb.
