Would be possible give in the master not in a DLT tape?

Hi,
The company where I'm going to send the DVD to make the copies told to my colleague that I should do the master in a DLT tape. I got a DLT recorder but I found two problems, the first is that this have not drivers for Mac, and the second is that is SCSI, the model is a Compaq 40/80 GB DLT, so I can't use it.
My question is that, would be possible to do the master in a DVD DL? (this project need at least 8 GB)
Thanks ..... Hugo

Excellent. I'm trying it right now. I've been submitting DLT masters for years but we recently found out that our replicator is now accepting DVD-Rs and, in the interest of keeping the budget down as low as possible, we've decided to give it a go. The DVD-5 was fine, they just accepted a regular build but I was having trouble figuring out how to do a DVD-9. Keep your fingers crossed for me

If you purchased using your AppleID, look in your purchase history.
If you purchased using a credit or debit card, ask the financial institution
that issued the credit/debit card for a copy of the receipt.
If you paid cash, you could try contacting the store; but unless you

  • Is it possible to hold the last note of a soundtrack?

I have a fourteen second music loop that I'd like to hold the last note. Obviously, it's designed to be edited into a loop or larger sequence of similar music clips. I'm hoping there is a way to extend the final note of the piece so that it 'resolves' at the end. Is there a way to do this? Maybe something like time remapping in Final Cut Pro?

Answered my own question. I used the file editor and the *audio stretching tool*. I just selected the section of the song that I wanted to 'hold' and then grab the end of the selected area with the audio selection tool and drag it to the desired length. Works great.

    I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!
...after hours of tech support ...from Bolivia
You need to reformat the iPod going through "My Computer" and using the basic Windows Reformat. Not the Quick Format. Then, open iTunes and a Restore option will be avaliable. Make sure that you have an internet conection to download the software. Should fix the problem. Good Luck!

  • Navigatiomnal attribute is not possible to delete from master data?

WHen I tried to delete the navagational attribute I am getting an erro like this.
Characteristic Z5xyz: Master data has to be activated before conversion
    Message no. R7067
    Diagnosis
The master data for characteristic Z5xyz  has to be converted, because an attribute has been deleted, or the time-dependency of an attribute has been changed. This process is possible, only if the master data for characteristic Z5xyz  is active. The  master data table /BIC/PZ5xyz contains only new or modified records, that have not yet been activated.
    System Response
    Characteristics Z5xyz  cannot be activated.
    Procedure
Activate the master data for characteristic Z5xyz , before you activate the characteristic itself.
Can any one help me to resovlet his.
    points will be definitely assigned.
    Thanks,.
    Vasu

    Hi Vasu,
You are tying to delete a table filed when the table contains data. For this you need to adjust the database table.
But instead of doing all this you may follow a simpler method.
Before  deleting that Characteristics you need to delete the Masterdata first.  Then delete the Characteristics from the attribute list and activate the Masterdata Object. Now reload the masterdata.

  • Can I repair the Master Boot Record (MBR) or Volume Boot Record (aka Windows boot partition) for Windows XP using Windows Vista/7 commands?

I have an SSD drive whose file system is corrupt and unreadable and it's OS of choice is Windows XP SP3 32-bit. I don't have a Windows XP disc.
Is it possible to repair the Master Boot Record (MBR) or Volume Boot Record (VBR) using a Windows Vista or 7 Recovery Disc? What about a Windows PE disc?
I researched around the Internet and found a command in Windows PE called bootsect (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/bios-booting/ht/bootsect-nt60.htm) that can repair both older and new Windows Volume Boot Code (NTLDR or BOOTMGR). The link states that the
bootsect command does NOT fix the MBR. Even the technet site here lists a reference to bootsect and that it can repair the MBR of both old and new versions of Windows (which doesn't appear to be correct). Can I use bootsect to restore the VBR of XP?
If bootsect cannot help me, then what is its purpose? Possible ex: Someone has a dual-boot XP and 7 system, the user uninstalls XP, and then uses bootsect to write BOOTMGR to the VBC.
I would appreciate any insight. Again, I don't have an XP disc. But I do have a WinPE disc and Win 7 Recovery disc and I was hoping I could fix my XP MBR and/or Windows VBR with one of the two.
    Thank you.

  • Is it possible to change a master data key ?

    Hi Experts,
i'd like to know if it is possible in any way to change/update the key of a master data table.
Reason: All of our projects have a certain nomenclature. Now I realized one project that does not follow that nomenclature and would like to change it accordingly (0PROJECT -> /BI0/PPROJECT).
The connection to the cubes is through SIDs, therefore I cannot remove the current record in the master data table and create a new (the correct) one.
I also cannot reload the cube after I possibly had changed the master data table.
For me, the simpliest would be to just update the key portion in /Bi0/PPROJECT and I think modern database systems would allow this (we are running BI on top of DB2), but may be I'm wrong.
I tried the update in the maintenance dialog in RSA1. Stupid enough it allows me to change the key and even the subsequent Save would work. However, by opening the table afterwards again, the old (worng) values are displayed again.
Would someone know how this could work ?

    Hi,
Are you trying to change the value  of a master data key for a particular record in the P table?
if this is your requirement, then the answer is NO. i don't think so..changing it manually doesn't help you.
I suggest you to load the same record from your source system with new master data key value and all other attributes with the same data as the old record.
Now you will have two records in your P table( one with the old value and another with the new one)
There is no harm in having the old record in your P table...deleting of any master data is risky and not appreciable ( but possible)
You need to use this new master key value in your transaction loads which will intrun connect to the master data using SIDs
By using the new value in your transaction loads, the old one will not visible in any of your reports...but will just sit in the P table with no use, which is still fine for you.
However, to laod this new value (in both master and transaction data) you need to get in touch with the functional team.
Modifying the data manually in BI/BW ( Unless there is an invalid data from source to PSA) will lead to inconsistencies and reconciliation issues. - NOT Advisable

  • Possibility of having a master page beginning at page2?

Could it be possible to set the master page begin at page 2? Please note that I am working from a layout that was originally imported from a PDF file. So after I import the pdf file, I already have objects on page 1, page 2, page 3. I only have to do the layout for the master page that should begin in page 2.

    Hi,
Its not possible to display a page not having a master page. So you have to use a master page for every page.
But to fulfill your requirement you can specify two master pages. One blank and another having the data you want to show on the master page on second page.
For you body page you can give the blank master page as the default one and if it extends till second page you can give the master page 2.
For that you have to go to the Body page properties in the designer.

  • Adding a stored procedure to the master database?

I have a SQL server instance being used as our data warehousing environment. The instance consists of several databases that I am snapshotting as part of our high availability strategy for data. I've created a stored procedure that takes the source database
as an argument and that will create a new snapshot when a new one needs to be created and will also automatically remove the old snapshot. It also updates some synonym tables that point to the new snapshot but that might not be an important detail.
I would like to have the stored procedure stored some place global to all of the databases that I am routinely snapshotting, but that would mean putting it in the master database. Although having it there makes things significantly better in terms of usability,
it seems like there's something wrong with putting any stored procedures in the master database. Am I wrong? Is it OK to put stored procedures there in situations like this?

Yes Database snapshot. We're using it to make our data more available so that when we're refreshing the underlying database we can still access the previous version of the data. Otherwise our reports and applications won't have access to the data or will
get partial data sets. We don't intend to use it for DR or as a backup.
ok. if it is for temporary purpose, it will work..
you can create one master procedure and do that - master database. but you need to make sure you point your applications/reports to the snapshot database and not actual database
    Hope it Helps!!

  • Remove the 'Master Password'

I've searched to see if this topic has been raised in the forums, but I am unable to locate a similar question - which I find amazing.
Once the Master Password has been set, the only option via the 'File Vault' area is to change the password. I am keen to find out if it is possible to 'Remove the Master Password' once it has been set. And by remove I mean to have it set to 'No Password'
File Vault is not active/set, but Master Password is.
    Can anyone help?

to remove the master password go to /Library/Keychains (that's the Library at the top level of the drive) and delete the files FileVaultMaster.cer and
FileVaultMaster.keychain. that's it. note that this change will not effect any existing filevault accounts. meaning that if you create a new master password after that it will not work on already existing filevault accounts.
