Would I be able to remove Firefox and go back to my original browser if there are any problems with it on my RCA tablet?
I've just received a very stripped down Android tablet, which is all I need. The browser isn't exactly feature-rich but I don't want to loose it if the Firefox browser doesn't work on the tablet.
hello sl215, yeah sure - installing firefox on android will happen in addition to the default browser that is already on the device and won't affect it. if it doesn't work for you you can easily uninstall the application again through the google play store.

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.
System Preferences > General
Have a look at your settings in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

The warranty for the iPhone is not and has never been International.
Warranty and support are ONLY valid in the country of origin. The only exception is the EU where the entire EU is treated as one country.
If the device will be used in India, buy it in India.
An unlocked iPhone will work on any supported GSM carrier world wide. The LTE portion of a US purchased, unlocked iPhone is unlikely to work outside North America as it does not support the appropriate bands used in other countries. -

when i attempt to open Firefox Mail, I get a popup (yellow background) with the heading "There is a problem with this message". We are sorry, but Yahoo Mail has encountered a temporary problem, referring to Temporary Error 4. It goes on to suggest that I might solve the problem by going to Yahoo Help Page. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

If you are having permission issues, then that would be with your operating system. If you are using linux, mac or xp I can help, but I'm not familiar with Vista or Win7. (sorry)
abhinavn94: have you tried a stable (non beta) version? Are you still having the same problem?
AmberL: what operating system are you using? I've seen threads about back button problems but haven't looked at them. Give them a look over. The solution for that might be the same for the bookmark problem. (generally, if back doesn't work, its because there is no previous page to go to in that particular tab for that session, but I'm sure there are quirks that could cause it not to work) If you are running Vista or Win7 the best I could suggest is to look into Control Panel or whatever it is called now and look for Users & Groups. There you should find something to adjust security or permission levels. You can play with that and see if that helps, but I'd wait for someone who is more knowledgeable about permissions on those OSes to chime in first if you aren't comfortable mucking around with it. -
I have an I7 processor, 6 GB of RAM and a GTX 460 GPU.
As you see it is not a hardware problem.
It happens quite often on several websites.
I do not use a lot of plugins or addons. Actually, I use none. The only ones I have are the ones the browser requires to display content such as Adobe software, etc.As a temporary get around, dare I say it? I'm using Google Chrome which doesn't have this glitch in it. Been doing so for a couple of days now and no problems at all. I've gone back to Firefox a few times and the two or three second freeze every 10 or 15 seconds resumes, so I'll maybe check Firefox in a few months and see if there is any improvement. Or maybe, I'll be so used to Chrome by then I won't bother.

When I check my yahoo mail, a lot of times emails will disappear, or I will click on one to read, and it will open one that is above it. Also there are times when I am on a page, and a yahoo search page will open saying page could not be found, and it wasnt even something I was doing.

I did see the security download window and entered "run", but it only got so far and a window popped up saying "problem with download, can't proceed". What to do?
This happened to me, too. If I remember correctly, I had to set wither iTunes or my computer to download files one at a time instead of all at once. I don't remember how I set it to do this, though. I also remember that I had to delete the files and downloads and restart them all after I did this. Sorry I couldn't help more.

According to the instructions given on the Norton Community forum under "Other Norton Products/Comcast-Customers - Norton Toolbar Problem in Firefox 10", I have done everything necessary. And I do have a Norton toolbar (Safe Web and Identity Safe) when I open Firefox 10. As was mentioned in the previous posts here, you need to run manual LiveUpdate then reboot until you have version 5.2.0.13. Then reboot and run manual LiveUpdate again and reboot once more. One thing that I noticed is that Norton never told me that it had updated the patch for Firefox 10, so I didn't know. I guess if you have the toolbar when you run Firefox 10, then you have done it all.
