Would like to convert songs!

Hi,I am using iTunes on a Windows computer and have NEVER been able to use the CD burning program that is a part of iTunes. (I recently updated my version of iTunes and the computer was finally kind enough to explain that this was because my computer had some component that was incompatable.)
I would like to back up my music to CD, which I can do using my computer's regular CD burning program, but I have no way of converting the songs from AAC format to a format that would actually be usable in a regular stereo (like WAV or MP3). My brother suggested that I download a free music converter, but the one I tried doesn't seem to recognize the original iTunes AAC format, even though it claims to convert from AAC.
Any suggestions on which converter to try or what to do? I'm dying to download some new iTunes music but would like to get this resolved first. Thx!

This might work.
1. In iTunes go to: edit--->Preferences ---> Advanced tab ---> Burning tab ---> change the disc format to MP3 CD --- then go to your import tab and change the importing format option to MP3 Encoder
Then covert all your music to the mp3 format.
You can do this by selecting the songs and right clicking them and selecting to convert the song to a MP3 format
After you do this:
Create playlists with the songs you want to burn and click on the burn button.

I don't know the diffs between the QT versions on different platforms and the export option may be a pro feature. I've use QT Pro for all kinds of things. After one upgrades you can't tell which features are Pro so I can't help you there. If you want to just make a smaller video iTunes will let you generate an iPhone or iPod copy of a video which is slightly smaller. Check the right-click menu on a song in the library.
I haven't checked, but I wonder if GarageBand or iMovie would do this as well. Hmm, something for me to do today.

My itunes library is stored on an external harddrive which i dont have on me at the moment, i would like to add songs from my computer to my ipod touch, can i do this without losing the songs already on there?

I store all y music on an external harddrive and update my ipod from that normally. However at the moment I dont have it but would like to put songs that i have added to my itunes and are stored on my computer onto my ipod touch. Is there a way to just add songs to the ipod touch without losing all the rest of the songs on there?

You should be able to to it by using manual syncing method. See that method here:

The new Mac's do not have analog audio in so you will have to go with a USB audio in device or else if you do not yet own a turntable (or are looking to upgrade) you could get a turntable that has USB out.
The Griffin Technology iMic USB Audio Device is a low cost consumer grade solution if you already have a turntable.
For recording I use Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder which does a good job and has the ability to run the audio signal through various filters.

It is possible that you are not following instructions correctly in the DNG converter. The DNG converter interface asks for the FOLDER that contains your raw images. Choose the folder, but don't open it. After you have chosen the folder, click on the Convert button. The DNG conversion process should start. Does that help you?

Best bet might be to try opening them using LibreOffice [free] and save them to .doc.
Do you really want to save them as .pages files? You are jumping from the frypan into the fire. Yet another proprietary format that Apple has again deadended with no working translation.

I'll give you my recipe to attain your goal. Then, please, tell me if it worked.
First of all, you need some MB of disc space on the web, and almost all of the e-mail providers (such hotmail.com, msn.com aol.com andso.on) can give you this chance.
Second step, you have to download, install on your computer and set with your web space information, an ftp browser such as SoftX FTP Client ( http://www.softx.org/ftp-download.html ) or Terrapin FTP Browser ( http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/downloads/index.cfm?categoryID=1470&itemID=6574 ).
Third step, you have to reduce the mp3 bitrate of your song whether it's more than 128 kbps, to make sure it won't be too heavy to load when someone visit your blog. To do this, you must open the Preference panel of iTunes (in Windows version of it usually in tools menu), click on advanced, click on import and then choose import using mp3 encoding and set the bitrate to 128 kbps (less is better) and confirm. Now select your song, right click on it and click on convert selection to mp3. When the operation will end, you'll have two files of the same song. Right click on the new one and click on "show file". An Explorer window will open with the right file already selected. Just drag and drop it on the FTP browser (is better if you correct the name of the song and put out spaces between the words before the uploading - i.e.: "Storm in a tea cup.mp3" will become storminateacup.mp3 or storm.mp3, far better) and it will be uploaded to your web space. Obviously, if your file is already at a low bitrate (lower than 128), you must jump the "Preference panel setting" step and the "convert to mp3" step.
Final step: your blog
this is the standard html syntax, accepted by almost all of the blog providers:

Be careful: you have to write correctly your web address and the name of the song, because the html language is case sensitive.
put autostart=true if you'd like to hear the song as you open the blog and loop=true if you like to hear your song again and again. You can also set the volume as you like (0-100 is the range) and put to 0 both width and height if you like to make the song bar invisible.
You can put the code either in a post or in the blog page, as it will be the soundtrack for the blog or just for a single post.

Frankly though I think if it can't play mp3 then it cannot play AIFF. Do not confuse a file in AIFF format with the format that is used on an audio format CD which all players can play. I suspect that what you really need to do is burn audio format CDs. You can do this using your mp3 files.

I would like to convert a float to integer..........

First of all, avoid my previous question.
Secondly, i would like to have an output in my program float numbers but until one decimal . for example 23.5 56.8 23.8
How can I do that.I know there is a rounding method but a number like 23.546935609 it will be 24. I do not want that.
For understanding my program ,it is read a number as a command argument ,so string, i converted as a float for taking : 23,7 but i do not want to take from the command line 23,98765544........it is too big for my job.
Any suggestions?Can i use try catch commands for this?

Also, if you'd just like to format the output, you can use the printf() method.

Part of the validation for credit cards is that they need to be registered to exactly the same name and address that you have on your iTunes account, which prepaid cards tend not to be. Do you have a proper credit card that you could use ? Or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you could try using them as your payment method ?
Until you have a valid payment method on your account and what you owe iTunes has been paid off then you won't be able to download any item from the store, including free apps (and updates to apps).

I have got more than 400 scanned documents of A4 size. But they are not of uniform size. Luckily they are all of 300 dpi.They were created on a scanner. When opened in photoshop they contain random patches that are transparencies, although there seems to be no difficulty viewing themon adobe reader.
My laptop had "Gb RAM and does not accept CS4 I have Photoshop CS3. My javascript and photoshop are both limited to basic skills.
I would like to mount each document on a white A4 sized photoshop background of300dpi, as a layer, flatten it out and save as the desired page.
As this is rather time-consuming, I would like to have a script that will perform this task, on a single file.
I would like to manually run this script on each file.
If possible I would additionally like to put the individual pages in a folder and run the script repetetively on all files in the folder.
Any suggestions or held will be gratefully appreciated

I would like to convert a continuous waveform (created in Labview with the waveform generator vi) into digital form...am I on the right track (see below)
