Would like to record what's on my 24" iMac screen. How?

I would like to record video of exactly what's appearing on my 2008, 24" iMac screen. I would like to have the video saved directly onto my hard drive. I also have usb and firewire external drives available. Any suggestions on how to do this? And instructions please?

Open your quicktime application. Under the file menu there are 3 choices pick new screen recording and have fun capturing screen recordings that you can make into training videos or just for your collection.
If you want to capture a picture of the screen hold the shift+command keys together and then hit number 3 to capture the whole screen and the same thing but hit number 4 to make a selection and capture just the selection.

In itunes...preferences you can change the setting to import songs instead of mp4 to mp3. Afer changing this setting, right click to the songs and than you are able to convert to mp3. ths's it

I've never used Airport network for surfing to the internet on iMac.
I don't want to use Airport network, Ethernet is enough.

Do you have any clue? Have several issues on a new MacBookPro but it's propably "PEBKAC" made..

It is Command+r or for the online internet system it is Command+option/Alt+r keys. Then you use Disk Utility to erase the macintosh partition, from the built in recovery hd, or you can repartition the drive as one partition from the online system.
To actually get to the online internet system you have to hold that key combo down until you see a globe on the screen. Otherwise it will just boot from the built in recovery hd on the internal drive.

Yeah, and it didn't work.
I had problems when I updated to iOS 5 (lost all my apps - a few of my friends had the same problem) and when there was an update to iOS 4 (camera wouldn't work). The iOS 5 issue was sorted by backup (but I lost the app data) but for the iOS 4 issue I had to return my iPod to get a new one.

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you are not talking to iTunes Support here. I've asked the hosts to remove your email address from your post.
You shoudl be able to individually deauthorise your computers directly on them via the Store > Deauthorise This Computer menu option, or as you have multiple computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.
If you've already deauthorised all within the past 12 months then you can try contacting iTunes Support and ask if they can do it for you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Try Safari > Preferences > Advanced and down the botton tick Show Develop Menu In Menu Bar. Now you will see Develop in the top menu in Safari, click on it to open the drop down window, go to User Agent and select Internet Explorer and see if this allows you to open the page. Otherwise, as Deggie said, it's up to a Windows Install on your Mac through Bootcamp or Paralells or the like to run IE within Windows.

Well not to get off topic but your company needs a new IT guy. You can slipstream all the updates into an install image and for that matter you can take one PC, updates it, create an image from it and use a universal install feature to image any PC with that updated image.

I wouldn't use Photoshop to make posters, though of course I'd use it with the photos that are part of the poster. For text work I'd use Illustrator or InDesign as appropriate.
