Would like to see on line the options (cost) for local service only

I saw a page the other day, and there was a local plan for $18.17
Now I can't find it back, no matter how much searching I do. I an area code 812-prefix 794.
Now the cheapest I can find is the Verizon Unlimited Local Service....at this link.

I ended up calling them, and found out there is an even cheaper local land line service than what I had seen and then discussed with a rep days ago. It is just $14.17 and an additional $3.50 for call waiting, and then the usual taxes and additional charges. I have unlimited calling to 3 local towns, and have signed up for a Long Distance plan with another company that is 4.5 cents a minute, and even breaks the minute down into increments.
I'm a Verizon/Gte retiree, and will now be able to get the retiree concession rate since I no longer have one of the packages. They are practically 'giving' me my service.

Wireless is "always on" with the AirPort Extreme. There are no settings to "time out" wireless on the AirPort Extreme. Those settings would be adjusted on each individual computer.

I would like to update Garageband to the newest version for my macbook pro (OS X 10.6.8)

I currently have Garageband V3.0.5 and I would like to update but when I try to get V4 or higher I get an error. Is this as high as I can go with my operating system?

Version 4 is from iLife '08, version 5 is from iLife '09 and version 6 is from iLife '11. Version 10 is only found in Mavericks.
You can't "update" from version 3 to any other version. They are all paid upgrades.
You can't purchase version 4, 5 or 6 at the App Store. The only way to get them is from a reseller of the iLife DVD suite of apps.

What I would like to see to in the next firmware update

1. Smooth transfer between hot spots.
2. Option to choose which network interface to use, now it doesn't let you to choose between WiFi network and EDGE, its just switch to WiFi if it is available, so you have to turn off WiFi, not really convenient.
3. Gmail works strange with mail client, he puts all messages in inbox that were send from computer. Really strange.
4. iPhone without IM it is stupid idea, I can't imagine this to work out, of course I use 3rd party application Apollo that brings IM functionality to iPhone. Apple should do something about it in the near future or open OS X to 3rd party developers legally.
5. Bring clipboard to iPhone, it is something that everyone need and will say thank you.
6. SIP client would be good, but I guess I'm asking too much already.
7. Forgot to say about 3rd party application Sketches, really cool application that everyone need, Apple really need to think about to bring this guys to Apple iPhone software developers group.

Say you have 3 different shoots you're importing at once, and they are all shot on different days. As it stands now you can put them in different folders or in the same one if you like, and even rename the folders.
What if you can rename the not only the folders but the photo names as well as you import them based on the folder that they are in.
Like a check mark that says name files the same as the folder.

This is not the iPhone forum. If you'd looked there, you have learned already that we are all just fellow users here and have no idea when the iPhone 5 will be released in any country where Apple has not yet announced a date. Keep in touch with the cell carriers in the UAE; they'll know the release date as soon as anyone will. Or keep checking the online Apple Store for the UAE, where Apple will, I'm sure, post the release date as soon as it's set and announced.

After registration, You can Go to

2.Itunes&App Store
3.Click on your apple id .
4.Select View Apple ID
5.Slecet Payment Info
And You can find NONE here.
Please select NONE to delete your credit card numbe r from the list
But While registering you cant find NONE, you have to enter the cc number.

how many other people would like to see a "GarageBand-esque" skin/gui for logic express/pro???
i use all three apps a lot, and the main thing i really enjoy about GarageBand is the simple single window interface.
i would like to see apple make the option of having a single window skin for logic.

The good thing about the Logic GUI, how grey and dull it may look, is that you don´t focus on it. It is pleasant to your eyes--and mind.
Garageband is for fun. If Logic should have a lift, I think inspiration should come from Final Cut. An app that initially was developed maybe 10 years later than Logic.
Problem with Logic is that it has been on the run for such a long time.
Quite a few menus haven´t changed in almost 15 years, well 10, then.
(Look at the much loved/hated environment)
Can´t help compare to SX, that had a completely new GUI, with the switch from Vst to SX. At a glance it is much more elegant than Logic.-And many features are superior to Logic--But, as your arrangement in SX grows, your screen will be cluttered--In a mess...all the bells and whistles.
And Logic remains cleaner in it´s dullness.
But, I´m very much annoyed with the GUI of a few Logic instruments.
The worst is Sculpture. Well, the GUI may be fancy enough, but do you have to use a magnifying glass to watch? It is just as bad as Reason!
I remember doing a post about upgrading graphic cards (I have 64 mb) and was adviced: No use, you will not benefit from upgrading, if you primarly use Logic....So Logic has a poor resolution or what? I don´t know, Tell me.

I would like to do this at the router level for FaceTime? Only site I find in init.ess.apple.com - is this the startup site for Facetime? Does anyone know a site I can block, hostname or IP address that the FaceTime application uses? Or which port it connects to?

I would presume so, but it might be worth your while to experiment and play around with different combinations to see if you can block FaceTime while keeping Game Center open. Good luck!

It also has a s-video as well on the side (I have never used s-video.) My Mac Book Pro came with a DVI to VGA little cable adapter but how do I use this to get to my TV inputs? Do I have to buy from Apple, (or somewhere else), that cable called DVI to Video Adapter? but then that is only for the video? How do I get the audio out? From the headphone socket? And if this is the only way why hasn't Apple made their DVI out socket a dual purpose output ie: Video AND audio, like the mini DVI for the G4 powerbooks? Please help. If anyone has also come across this problem. I want to see my timeline in FCP on the TV before I put it to tape. Thanks.

You need a DVI or VGA to svideo adapter. They aren't cheap.

Because DVI carries only video. Apple is using a new video card in the MBP with different abilities.
